Don’t know about DD and what they load but the Missouri 245 gr coated lead slugs are just the ticket for subsonic and they work like a champ in my cut down Lake City brass.

I am a 300blk fanboy and have mixed emotions here. Plus that DD is putting out ammo, minus that it’s $1.60/Rd…. It should retail at no more than 80/90c per rd to be competitive IMHO. 300blk can be a tack driver but subsonic ammo isn’t meant for much past 150yrds anyway.aybr that’s msrp? Sierra 110gr HP bullets are $27 for a box of 100, and the load only uses 19-20gr of H110, 2,280fps. It’s about the cheapest load I’ve found for 300BLK.
The problem is that sticking a Lapua bullet on a subsonic load is just dumb. How many situations can you think of where you need match grade accuracy in a subsonic load. Subsonics have a built-in inaccuracy factor due to the uneven burn caused by the partially loaded case. I don’t see this ammo selling very well unless the price comes down. Way down.
You can get 175 federal gmm for less than a dollar a round, so why shoot 300?

Own a couple AR-15s and a couple AR-10s. Celebrate ballistic diversity. The .300 is a lot lighter and more efficient than the .308 when running subsonic. It’s also cheaper to reload. No one is arguing that the .308 doesn’t have more balls, or isn’t more widely available.

Fantastic roudn. Far superior to 556 in its supersonic loading, but until its price drops its still essentially irrelevant when you can buy 7.62×39 AR’s. Until that happens its just a fun toy for rich supressed sub-sonic fans.
.300BLK vs. .44Rem mag, I am wondering why supressed weapons are coming into vogue.
Wouldn’t use a 220gr OTM subsonic for home defense, but it’s probably using the Sierra MatchKing bullet which is good and accurate.
300 BLK does one thing fairly well and does nothing spectacular. It does nothing that conventional cartridges can’t do, and not very much of that…an ingenious solution to a nonexistent problem. It was, however, very well marketed and opened up more sales for those who want every new gadget. YMMV
