Press release [via Ammoland.com]

CAA, developers and manufacturers of advanced battle-tested firearms accessories, announce the long awaited release of the NON-NFA RONI. It features an officially licensed SB Tactical Pistol Stabilizing Brace, and is now shipping to distributors and dealers. The Pistol Stabilizing Brace enhances one-handed firing of the RONI-STAB by attaching to the operator’s forearm.  The RONI-STAB is the first NON-NFA RONI available, meaning less paperwork, no wait and no additional costs . . .

The Pistol Stabilizing Brace has an adjustable and flexible nylon strap for a custom fit for any user. Although originally designed for wounded combat veterans and others with disabilities that inhibit their ability to securely hold a firearm, the overwhelming acceptance of the Brace within the firearms community has propelled the product to be one of the most sought after PDW pistol accessories on the market.

The RONI-STAB is constructed from high quality elasto-polymers to exacting tolerances. It has been designed to fit multiple handgun models. The RONI-STAB for the GLOCK 17/19 is available now. The RONI-STAB also has models for Beretta, H&K, SIG SAUER, Springfield XD, and many other brands.

The RONI platform requires no pistol disassembly at all. Simply drop the pistol in the kit and it locks within seconds. Many of the features on RONI are ambidextrous, including the trigger-guard safety, and a super-fast charging handle. Other features include Picatinny rails for two sighting devices and additional side rails.

The RONI Stabilizer is available in Black or Tan.  Visit your local dealer and see for yourself!

*The RONI Pistol Stabilizing Brace is intended only to be used as designed as a forearm brace. The addition of a stock and/or forward grip to the RONI-STAB would convert it into a NFA controlled Short Barrel Rifle (SBR) and Any Other Weapon (AOW).

  1. Can someone please tell me what the hell is the point of this thing? Other than to add 3 pounds to a GLOCK and prevent it from fiiting into any holsters, I mean.

  2. Make it a bumpfire “brace” then add a suppressor and I’m sold. Really though that sounds fun. Too bad us lowly serfs can’t own(or afford) a giggle switch equipped Glock.

  3. Huh… support for Jericho, Bersa Thunder, BUL Cherokee, but no Smith and Wesson M&P support. Heck, I’d expect M&P support before HK support even. Bizarre. Guess I’ll just have to continue shooting my M&P without an “arm brace”. I would think something like this could be designed to use a standard picatinny rail to mount the pistol so you could use any pistol (with barrel length restrictions) instead of specific models for each brand of firearm. Adapters could be used to adapt non-standard firearms (like HK USP’s) to standard accessory rails.

To be honest, I’m not sure I even see a legitimate use for this product to be used as an arm brace. I would think if you’re disabled, a pistol would naturally work well for you. The arm brace adds additional weight, making it even harder to use one-handed. If it’s a recoil problem, why not just shoot 9mm, or .22?

That being said, as an “upper arm” brace it seems like it would be useful. The NFA is a joke and should be repealed (including full-auto), but until then this seems like a compromised product that you can’t even use at a public range the way most people intend to use it. And $500+ for something that could be illegal next year seems like a lot to risk. Heck the front of it looks to block the use of a suppressor, which seems incredibly stupid considering their rising popularity right now.

    • We are our own worst enemies. Why does anyone have to legitimize the use of a legal to own product? I see the use for those who have limited mobility as it negates any and all recoil and allows for a pistol platform with more real-estate for red dot, laser, light…etc. Also…it looks cool. Since when has a gun or its accessory been a question of need??

    • I was in a legal seminar last week discussing some state regs and the group kept coming up with ways to defeat the regs.

The law man leading the thing finally snapped “if your minds first thought is how to defeat or ignore these laws you’re on the wrong track.”

The law is never flawed. It’s all us scoundrels and crooks who refuse to comply with pointless and arbitrary restrictions. Just obey and everything will work out. Even if it’s technically impossible to fully comply 100% of the time because like you know they wont bust you unless they really really want to.

      What an asshole he was.

      • Naturally, since you were all brainstorming to figure out how to strip him and people like him of some of his precious authority. Government abhors competition, and that’s exactly what your discussions were leading.

  4. The whole forearm brace idea flies a little too close to the sun, for my tastes.

Some jackwagon at the range drops a dime on you, and next thing you know you’re spending twenty grand and a year to defend yourself because some overzelous ATF agent thinks the brace, while technically legal, subverts the spirit of the law. That the law is a ludicrous law in the first place wouldn’t matter.

  5. If only overtime someone made a comment about how bad they hated the NFA they would instead send a letter to their congressman and senators then something might actually change.

    • Yes sir and make sure you support patriots like Mike Lee. Only so many people are trying to peddle the fed bs so pick your nose ,not your allies.

  6. Wait…what? Why? Who?

So, so dumb. For their next product, they can slap one of those even-more-idiotic “chin braces” on three pounds of Picatinny rail and a Glock and call it the Jawbone-Assisted Braced RONI, aka “JABRONI”.

  7. Anyone tried this thing yet? It looks to me like the height-over-bore for any sight you would put on would be enormous, something like 2+ inches. Which, for a pistol barrel, would be terrible, wouldn’t it? Your line-of-sight and line-of-bore would be two converging lines that are so skew that you’d only have a good zero for about a 5-6 yard zone, depending on what distance you zero. I think that negates the value of the PDW configuration (to be stable enough to shoot at further distances). Your hold-over/under compared to what you’re used to with the pistol sights as you go out to longer range would be vastly different and more exaggerated. Just wondering. Looks cool.

  8. At some point as you attempt to skirt the legal definitions of this or that you end up with a bulky, politically designed, conundrum in which you’d be better off with a normal pistol to begin with.
I applaud the market for giving us legal options but…..

  9. When you buy the brace from sig, you get a letter from the atf that says. The thing is legal, and that it’s also legal to shoulder the brace. Check out sig Sauer Web site.
