Today was Everytown for Gun Safety’s third annual “wear orange” day. It’s not known if Hare Krishnas or prisoners wearing orange were participating or just kicking out the jammies. Anyway, the mainstream media was not entirely impressed . . .
Of the usual big name suspects, only People reached the top of the Google search pile under “wear orange day.” US Magazine chimed in with a rather pathetic if predictable angle: Wear Orange for National Gun Violence Awareness Day June 2 — Celebs Are!
essence.com’s headline also reflected Orange Day’s lack of gravitas amongst the anti-gun media: Wearing Orange Can Help Stop Gun Violence, Seriously. So far, the rest of the coverage was small or local, or small and local.
For its part, pro-gunners ridiculed and/or fisked Everytown’s misleading misegos on Facebook (as above), Twitter and the rest of the blogosphere.
Which is easy enough to do when the official Wear Orange Facebook page invites international readers to find a Wear Orange event in Afghanistan and the Aland Islands (to name the first two). Picture or it didn’t happen!

Bloomberg spent more of his money on civilian disarmament and Americans who get their jollies from virtue signaling gathered to exercise their First Amendment protected right to wear orange, some of whom were accompanied by pandering pols ready, willing and able to betray their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.
Strangely none of them were bullied, intimidated or threatened by The People of the Gun. I wonder why that is?
Let’s dupe them into wearing their orange get-ups on St. Patrick’s day in Boston and NYC.
