Thanks to anti-ballistic billionaire bully boy Michael Bloomberg, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America has a BIG budget. Thanks to liberal hypocrisy and general myopia, Moms also has a lot of friends in the entertainment industry. Et voilà. A “public service announcement” suggesting that open carry means an AK leaning against the wall or a shotgun at a bar in a family restaurant that serves alcohol. Whose owner is all thumbs. The gun might go off! What’s “off” is misleading anti-gun agitprop, redundantly speaking.

    • Comments disabled so you cannot complain about it being a self indulgent boring video. And painfully long. I had to stop it halfway, before they even got to a point, if there was one. If this is how Bloomberg is going to PR his campaign for president after Clinton gets indicted he is going to lose.

    • I would be hard-pressed to find it more solid evidence that liberal views on firearms and firearms safety are based on ignorance and inexperience.

Fear propaganda at its finest. An inanimate piece of metal and polymer or wood sitting there by itself harming no one will do just that: sit there by itself harming no one (as depicted in the video).

And yet we are to be conditioned to mindlessly and meaninglessly fear its very image and/or presence as though we were infants unable to think independently for ourselves.

I do not know what makes me more sick to my stomach:
      1) The idea that any American “on the fence” about gun control vs. 2nd Amendment Rights would be persuaded by such propaganda to believe the liberal view,
      or
      2) The idea that a team of Bloomberg’s experienced, educated, and well-paid marketing experts knew that it was worth the effort to pay for and produce the video (I’m sure this kind of “celebrity star power” does not come cheap) because it would at least persuade some.

  1. Is that video grounds for a massive defamation lawsuit since they want to make millions of law abiding gun owners seem to be bumbling drunks that know nothing of responsibility?

    • Dumb, not just from a anti-gun POV. And hyperbolic hyperbole? Love it.

So, do any of these PSA “characters” or actors text while driving? Look both ways before crossing a street?

Oh, and “safety first?” What’s more safety conscious than being armed and ready to protect yourself?

    • I’m still distracted by the scissors she just laid down on the table. How is that safe??? At least the AK has a safety. Scissors are always condition zero! pfft.

    • My thoughts exactly. I understand parody can be a powerful comedic tool, but that was so far over the top and poorly acted that most will just quit watching after 15 or 20 seconds. Add in the mom character seems like the nagging yenta in every subdivision, it becomes instant turn off.

Lastly, if you’re going to have a gun falling, you might as well have it go off. Not only for dramatic effect, but they lie constantly, why not keep perpetuating the movie myth of dropped gun equals shot(s) fired.

Must be nice to live in such sheltered gated enclaves where you don’t have to deal with police now saying they can’t respond timely like Los Angeles just did.

      • This woman’s “husband” looks like such a worthless wimp. He can’t even drive his family to the freaking pizza shop. That dude needs to grow a pair. It looks like this woman has three kids.

        Don’t be that guy.

        • I try to look at the silver lining….. They do a good job of showing how oblivious these people are. They walk in to a place and dont see the half dozen rifles leaning against the walls until they order? They remind me of big city libtards who walk through the projects/hood and think theyll be okay because they are “down with the cause” and “understand the plight of the disadvantaged”.

  2. The older she gets, the more apparent to me it is that Rachel Dratch has some sort of chromosomal abnormality.
That’s not an ad hominem. That’s my professional impression.

  3. Ads like this remind me that demanding moms are just that….demanding something they know nothing about; completely ignorant on the subject. And, they’re not real “moms”….they wouldn’t know the first thing about raising educated children who know their rights and responsibilities.

Yeah, get that meal to go…..somewhere else…..like N.Korea?

  4. Couldn’t you just download it, mock it and, repost the mockery?

With the right tags people would find the official one and the mockery and likely watch them both

  5. I only open anti-gun vids on youtube to vote them down. MDA (Menopausals Demand Action) vids have ratings and comments disabled, so I don’t give them the time of day. I’m allergic to stupid people, especially hoplophobic retards like Watts and Bloomberg.

  6. I love it.
    AK’s at the Bar?
    Talk about paranoid.
I don’t know what the State laws are that allow
Open Carry of Rifles, but if I did live in a State
that permitted it, I don’t think I would carry with
    one in the chamber.
    But a handgun?
    Absolutely.

    • “AK’s at the Bar?
      Talk about paranoid.”

How many bars have multiple dart boards in them?

The real ones, not the plastic ones.

Those hurled tungsten-bodied sharpened steel darts could put an eye out, I tell you! 🙂

  7. Well that was entertaining. Stupid but entertaining.
Can we do a “show us your gun leaning against a wall” and we’ll post it on our facebook page! TTAG

      • In my prior residence almost every inside corner had little black marks where the barrel of somethingorother had marked it, a lot.

I actually built a rifle rack for my current place, but there’s still a mark where my bedroom shotgun leans against the wall.

A truly gun-friendly eatery would put notches in the ends of the booth tables.

      • I really enjoy the effort some folks put forth and their fine submissions. Yes there are the smart phone quickies with no post editing to the exposures, colors and saturation levels, but besides those, I have seen some really fine work. Their are folks who take pride in their firearms and take pride in how they are presented. That is what I appreciate. I enjoy our gun appreciative fellow American friends displaying some their pride and joys with some damn fine photography.

  8. Seems like we need a “common sense” PSA to introduce their target market (apparently the layman or ignorant) to firearm mechanics and safety:

    [Insert Cooper’s Safety Rules here]

    Alternatively:

People killed by rogue firearms shooting of their own accord: 0
People trying to lead you to believe firearms can “go off by themselves”: Bloomberg staff count
People that think you are stupid enough to believe the lies: Anti-gun media and agenda

    • The problem is that only 8 other states are like the planets of california and new york. She needs to terra-form the other 40 and subdue the inhabitants (human beings) before other members of her species (coastal liberals) can move in and cultivate the land.

  9. Nobody’s gonna stick that place up today.
But leaning a gun against the wall? Thats freakin reckless endangerment. Not sarc
Sling the freakin gun. Safety on. Round in chamber.

  10. What could go wrong?
If only we had some sort of federal bureau that would investigate shootings across the country. They could have compiled statistical evidence over the last several decades in those forty states to measure the frequency of things going wrong.

As an interesting side note. Did anyone notice that she drove a motor vehicle to that restaurant that serves alcohol and has children inside? I didn’t see anybody asking what could go wrong with that trio.

  11. I love how they try to make us all look like irresponsible alcoholics.

What I would love to see is the sequel; where they go across the street to a “gun free zone” restaurant and end up getting shot during a robbery gone wrong; all while the mother panics fumbling at her phone (which has a dead battery) trying to dial 911 so that an ambulance knows where to pick up the bodies in twenty minutes or so.

What actually upset me during the video is that i felt bad for the girl because her parents mocked her and laughed at her for wanting a soup. She probably just wanted a soup so she could throw boiling water in her mothers face.

  12. Wow! How could that Mom be soooo irresponsible to leave those ASSAULT SCISSORS laying around her special needs children!!

  13. On a side, but similar note, I always laugh at the signs on various places that “Such-and-such bans guns on these premises.” – How? Harsh words? 😉

“If you don’t leave I’ll be forced to ask you in a slightly louder voice!”

Goes back to the line of thinking that “You can’t MAKE a man with a gun do anything.”

  14. Their next video should include a family like theirs who gets robbed and killed because they had no way to defend themselves followed by “neighbor Joe” who is able to successfully defend his family.

  15. So they didn’t notice the litany of long guns lying about until they were seated and about to order? Really? And to top it off NO ONE else in the entire place (which looked pretty packed) seemed to be bothered at all, so who is it that really has the problem?

One last thing, none of those long arms had slings, no one open carries a long gun without a sling. Goddamn the ignorance of anti-gunners annoys me. How do they honestly think they are engaging in a debate when they know approximately (0.2 * Jack Shit) about the topic?

  16. All of those firearms were within arm’s reach and under the direct control of their owners. The only societal danger depicted in the video is bad parenting producing misbehaving, out of control paranoid kids. Without reproach from the video.

The fact that they have to suggest “what could go wrong?” with a legal practice in 40 states (allegedly) because they have no evidence of significant negative effects tells you that this is propaganda. If there was a legitimate societal danger from this practice the “blood in the streets” they predict would exist. It doesn’t. The family depicted in the video is in no danger from the gun owners around them. Furthermore, they are free to go to a different privately-owned restaurant where the owner forbids long arms. Because of their irrational fear, they want to restrict the liberty of other citizens, forcing them to act differently than they want to. These people are awful.

  17. I just flagged it under “spam or misleading”. It didn’t give me a box to explain why it was misleading. So I downvoted it just for good measure.

  18. What on God’s green earth did I just watch. So much stupid! It burns!! On the bright side, this is how they think. To the anti’s, this is a funny video that makes them nod their heads and say, “Right on!” Even though you’d never see anything like this outside a military unit sitting down for chow in the field somewhere.

What exactly is the purpose of the video – what are they trying to prevent? Since I’ve never, ever seen anything like this, is this a problem that they see coming? Because it certainly isn’t a problem now.

  19. Well that make sense, because we all know an accident is SO much better than someone intentionally killing you and your family.

Not to mention that was a cinematic work of art.
like painting with your own feces art, but art…… hehe… butt art……

  20. I just want to know I can go to restaurants and sit down for a nice meal with my AK without having the worst actors in the world sitting next to me.

But seriously that was the worst ad I’ve ever seen. I’m pretty sure it’s not convincing anyone of anything, except maybe how silly a fear of guns is

  21. Very disingenuous video.

Kids, loaded AK’s, in a bar??? Completely devoid of reality.

On the plus side – everyone in the bar looks fairly protected from jihadists and rapefugees. (Coming to a neighborhood near you).

  22. ALL demanding moms need a free party tour of Cologne,Germany tenative date New Years eve 2016. Every one of them would be singing a different tune upon getting back. Just another good example of spoiled amercians who have no clue how the real world works.

  23. P.S. At what point in our existence did “Mom” become a credential? And why does it seem as if I’m expected to weigh the voice of some nitwit higher up on my give-a-s#1T scale just because said nitwit has a functioning whosit. Mama June is a “Mom”, and I don’t see anyone asking her opinion on much. Weird.
