TTAG writer Chris Heuss made an excellent point at the end of his editorial “Gun Violence” in Perspective. “You don’t have to be a native American, Holocaust victim or defenseless child listening to the sound of your classmates being murdered to know that disarming Americans doesn’t prevent wholesale injury and death. It invites it.” I refer specifically . . .

to the bit about a child listening to the sounds of mass murder, wondering if he or she will live to see out the day, concluding that civilian disarmament is a bad idea.

If you and people you care about are defenseless in the face of an imminent credible threat of a violent death you want someone to stop that threat. You must know that a good guy (or two or more) with a gun is your best hope to stop a bad guy (or two or more) with a gun. Or guns. Knives? Whatever.

You must wish someone right there, say, a teacher or administrator had a firearm to stop the threat. Other than being armed personally, it would be ideal, really. I mean, that’s just common sense, right? Obvious to anyone except . . .

an idiot.

Sorry students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. If you think that gun control would have stopped Nikolas Cruz’s homicidal attack you’re not using the brain God and your parents gave you. If you think gun control will stop future Nikolas Cruz’s from attacking other innocent people, school children included, you’re an idiot.

If I was being charitable, I’d call you naive and deluded. But I don’t see any reason to cut you any slack.

You’re a willingly pawn of people who want to disarm the American public to further their insane dream of a statist utopia. A dream that always turn into the nightmare of government sponsored mass murder.

No really. Do the words “Wounded Knee” or “The Holocaust” mean anything to you? In fact, do you have the faintest clue why Americans have a Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms? A right that includes “assault weapons”?

I don’t think you do. I don’t think you’re educated.

As an educated person, someone with a basic understanding of past history and current events, I think anyone who demands that the government remove their civil rights is a moron.

Actually, that’s not quite it . . .

Anyone who agitates for the degradation and destruction of Americans’ natural, civil and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms is a dangerous fool. Someone who should be constantly and publicly encouraged to STFU — until and unless they learn how to use fact-based rational thinking to form an opinion.

And to those who lionize and exploit these idiotic teenagers to push for gun control legislation, I have a simple request: FOAD. Of natural causes. After realizing the error of your ways. And spending the rest of your life worked to restore the freedom you worked so assiduously, so cynically to destroy.

Meanwhile, don’t ask me to respect the Marjory Stoneman Douglas’ teenagers’ idiocy because they’re survivors of mass murderer. As a Jew so am I, on a scale Parkland’s teenage anti-gun rights agitators can’t even begin to imagine. Apparently.

As a Jew I say never again. And thank the Founding Fathers for enshrining my right to keep and bear arms. Even as I work to protect that right from idiots who somehow got it into their head that they’re doing me and other law-abiding citizens a favor by restricting Americans’ firearms freedom.

News flash: you’re not. Now go and get yourself a proper education. One way or another, I’m paying for it.

“… the preference of the Oranootan for the black women over those of his own species.”

Thomas Jefferson, Notes on the State of Virginia, Query 14, “A Description of the Laws, Paragraph 24
      http://xroads.virginia.edu/~hyper/jefferson/ch14.html

Jeffersons point being to make an analogy to black men supposedly preferring white women, in other words black men like monkeys seek to mate with females of a superior species.

Evidently you might also effectively quote TJ to bolster yalls delusions about crime stats being evidence that black folks are violent/dangerous/criminal…

      • Uh . . . Dave. Its not about religion. Its about a history of persecution because of their religious beliefs.

Its about highlighting the fact that a lot of anti-gun liberals, many of them Jews have lost sight of this.

I’m not Jewish, but grew up in a predominantly Italian and Jewish community. Jews and italians get along great. We understand each other . Food, family, and guilt.

We invite them over for Christmas eve. They invite us over for a Seder. If you haven’t eaten in a sukkah, you haven’t lived. Ha.

        • I’m Jewish and every time I see Chuckie Schumer on TV I get one step closer to antisemitism! Thank goodness for Ben Shapiro…the voice of reason.

      • I read the article. No mention of religion at all. Being a Jew isn’t a religion, but I guess we know where you stand on Jews now.

    • Tools. Yes, useful Idiots. The anti-2A plan is to start with 18-20 year olds advocating/voting for the government to remove their own 2A rights. After these youngsters disarm themselves they are going to advocate/vote to disarm anyone 21 years of age or older. If the 21+ don’t comply with this plan the 18-20 year olds will willingly accept a government draft and issue of government arms to go after and kill anyone who still supports the constitution. Make no mistake, this is how these anti constitutionalists think and behave. The anti-2A 18-20 year olds are too soft minded to see that they are playing into the hands of the tyrannical-type government leaders.

  1. Many anti’s are just idiots but not all. I think the bigger issue is that most desperately abhor the notion that society may expect them personally to protect themselves. Antis are above all cowards who want government to take care of all things. Look at the reaction of that leftist in the audience who freaked out at that sham of a town hall, saying “she is a teacher and where is she supposed to keep her gun?”

Don’t worry leftists, we don’t expect you to do ANYTHING except get out of the way. We see how well the department of that leftist sheriff performed, we sure don’t want any more help from liberals. Notice the one student who actually took action rejects the anti-gun agenda. Funny how that works.

    • Where one stands on the subject of civilian gun ownership is a spectrum like most issues. At the far end are the ringleaders of the gun bigots – they are in it for the money and power. Just to the right of them are the celebrities and video bloggers – they are in it for the fame. Then we have the true hoplophobes – who are genuinely terrified of all guns and gun owners.
Slightly more towards the center but still not neutral are the casual gun bigots: these are the people who when asked if we need more gun owner control laws will unthinkingly reply “yeah, sure. Whatever”. Truth be told, “unthinkingly” is a very accurate adverb – they are not truly on the side of the devoted (or bought-and-paid-for) gun bigots, they simply reply that way because they haven’t actually put much thought into the subject and think their knee-jerk reply sounds good since its what the bigots on their Facebook feed keep repeating.
It’s fun to corner one of these casual bigots in a conversation where they are forced to actually think the matter through with all the facts laid out in front of them and to watch the realization of their own foolishness slowly grow behind their eyes…
      🤠

    • I think the bigger issue is that most [Progressives] desperately abhor the notion that society may expect them personally to protect themselves. Antis are above all cowards who want government to take care of all things.

This is the key, along with their “vision” that violent attacks of any sort (with or without firearms) should never happen in the first place. And from that motivation spews all sorts of verbal diarrhea in the desperate hope of resonating with others and getting their way.

  2. FL GOP is giving in to them and their billionaire handlers here and abroad. News did a false flag saying FL legislature defeated an “assault weapons” ban. Only partially true, a lot more R sponsored gun control coming this and next week. Red Alert.

  3. The kids aren’t idiots- they’re kids. Kids learn from adults and so far there haven’t been enough adult role models showing/explaining life and self preservation to them from all sides. This is where we come in: We need to stop bitching to ourselves and get out in our communities and push the truth. Government cannot keep us safe, they can do only so much in that regard and it is up to us to take every means to keep us from an early demise.

Whether we’re talking about a school shooter, a mugger on the streets, or even a nuclear strike from some foreign entity, the government will eventually fail us if we put our faith and confidence in it. There is a much higher force where faith does work, seek wisdom and strength there. This battle can easliy be weathered if we seek that sort of counsel. Truth will see us through if we act in manner that does not put all faith and trust in people.

    • It’s a disservice to blanket every child as “the same”. That’s progressive BS. Yes, children, on average have a certain level of shared inexperience but that diminishes rapidly as they all experience different things at different rates of speed and understanding. The smarter and more resourceful the kid, the more resistant they tend to be to manipulation.

Lumping all gun owners with mass shooters because the one thing in common is guns is exactly the same tactic the progressives are doing to diminish our basic rights. So don’t fall into the same trap with kids.

There are, in fact, smart kids and dumb kids and you can tell the difference.

    • The progressives { socialists or commies } only worship government as their God. Always pray to their god to save them. They believe that ultimate power by the government will eliminate all violence as well as the other problems that exist. This ultimate power over people has demonstrated itself in countries such as China, Russia, N. Korea, Venezuela etc. and does not yield the utopian paradise that they envision. Of course the next time they try it then it will work. Remember the definition of insanity, trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

      • Worshiping anything other than yourself is stupid. I told my mirror this morning to get it right or she’ll be sold on Craigslist.

  4. I guess the only thing we can look forward to is that when the shooting starts the people that are doing the fighting will have all these human wall people to take cover behind to shoot back. We can hope they will get educated real quick and grab a gun but the enemy doesn’t care who it kills whether you’re a combatant or non-combatant, they’re just here to get rid of any and all opposition. I’m glad I taught my kids to shoot and to recognize who the enemy is.

  5. unfortunately this is what being civilized has become. These children are taught all their lives to avoid deep critical thinking, they aren’t taught a thing about how life works outside of school, and they are also taught to avoid confrontation at all costs. They don’t see the value in standing up for ones self when they can give in and call the police after the altercation. Basically we have raised a generation of cowards. Rather than trying to handle difficulties themselves they beg for help from the government, from the internet, or from total strangers.

Also their parents should be freaking ashamed to use their child’s tragedy as a springboard to get their 15 minutes of fame. Is this really what you want the nation and the world to remember your kid for? Being that one girl that survived a school shooting and destroyed the rights of millions of people who had nothing to do with it?

    • They are not idiots for not being pro gun. They were victims. In spite of all the laws and having an armed deputy on site they were victims.

And having seen first hand that they cannot depend on others to protect them they now demand that the only tools that they can use to protect themselves be banned.

      That’s why they’re idiots.

      • Are we now changing the definition of “victim”?

These crisis actors weren’t even in the same building as the shooter, on a campus of over 3000 students that is larger than most small towns.

        Give me a fvcking break.

        • Yeah, I’m gonna say one thing here I have been thinking about for a little while. These upperclassmen “victims” were in a separate building on a sprawling campus and, let’s be honest, were never under direct threat. Calling them “victims” is like calling me a car accident victim because there was a fender bender at the nearest intersection to my office.

    • My bullshit meter is going off with these kids. Something off about them. I feel that they’re enjoying their 15 minutes of fame and the gun grabbers are more than happy to help them out.

    • No Tiger.
Not being called idiots for not being pro-gun.

Being called idiots for SH*TTING on the memories of their own classmates by pushing an anti-human rights agenda.

And no, they are not idiots. They are clearly intelligent enough to know what they are doing. They are wastes of oxygen, lowlife larval spawn of other lowlife scum. It is amazing to me that the families of the victims are not activating their dental plans.

Clearly you think that appeasing these little Trotskyite apologists is the thing to do, lest the POTG be seen in a bad light.

Let me help you: these “people” hate us. They hate us when we try to come to a compromise, or actually have a rational discussion. They do not hate us less when we are civilized, and could not hate us more should we start calling them what they are: enemy. They cannot be bargained with, reasoned with, or treated with. Only defeated, soundly, completely, and in detail.

The parents of these larva need to be shunned by the community, ostracized to the point they leave, and hopefully never come back. Never underestimate the power of shunning, exile, dis-inclusion in civilization.

The victor is a war is generally the one that realizes they are in a war first.

    • Standing up to bullies is always the right thing to do, and that’s exactly what’s going on here. I recognize these kids are hurt, but that doesn’t mean they get to lash out against myself and other gun owners to make themselves feel better.

  6. It’s beginning to come out what else was going on with the school and the police. Once the distraction of guns is removed, it’s clear that lots was going on the create the conditions that lead to what happened. The school district “responded with a perfectly progressive solution: “lower arrests by not making arrests.”
“Authorities agreed to treat twelve different misdemeanor offenses as school-related issues, not criminal ones. The results impressed the people who initiated the program. Arrests dropped from more than a thousand in 2011-2012 to less than four hundred just four years later.”

School budgets live and die by the numbers. High arrest rates hurts federal funding. Hit numbers of mnorities being disciplined leads to crys of “racism.” Low mandated test scores leads to federal intervention.

Consider the drop: 1,000 to 400. All because arrests weren’t being made. Those of us that have served in the military or government have seen this process. Those in charge want fewer numbers, they will get them. If you raise the numbers, you won’t get support. How did this work for Cruz?
“Charo, his former classmate, said Cruz had earlier been suspended from Stoneman Douglas High for fighting — and also because he was found with bullets in his backpack. Sheriff Israel said at a news conference that Cruz had been expelled for “disciplinary reasons” but he did not provide any details of what led to that action.
Math teacher Jim Gard remembered that the school administration earlier sent out an email warning teachers about Cruz.”
Seems there was little Cruz could do that would result in his permantly expulsion.
Bring ammunition, a gun, a toy, or chew a pop-tart wrong and you get kicked out of most schools. But not if they are trying to reduce discipline numbers.

    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2018/02/did_the_progressive_broward_county_solution_cost_17_student_lives.html

    • I graduated HS in 1978. There were NO arrests at school. Not even when we were caught red handed drag racing in front of the school.

I guess my point is – WTF is going on in schools today?

      • Class of ’79 here. Seriously, there were fights here and there, two or three good ones over the course of a school year, but we would have never even entertained the possibility that a school shooting could happen. And PLENTY of people had guns on campus; my home town was on the lake and river, my crowd would hunt before and/or after school, shotguns in the truck all the time. I remember my buddy in second period walking out of class, telling the teacher on the way out, “I left my granddaddy’s shotgun in the duck blind,” and off he went. No punishment at school would have been worse than something happening to that gun.
Instead of pointing fingers at POTG, the NRA, Senator Rubio, calling names, it’s all OFWG’s fault, ban the gun, how about these kids look at each other and asking, “what’s wrong with us?” Where’s the accountability for this post-Columbine generation?

  7. This was kinda answered in another post here at TTAG.
This is revenge for Trump winning the presidency. This is for the NRA supporting and grading politicians.
They have not found any other way that works so they will go after what really hurts most Americans.
In every other school shooting, the parents talked. Politicians talked. They figured it out. Use the kids.
Let’s see how well it works.

  8. Idiot is a little harsh but they are certainly naive as was I at that age. The Parkland tragedy was a systemic failure at all levels to recognize and treat a mental health issue. Instead everyone turned their heads and kicked the can on down the road. Police and other institutions do it everyday. The old stand operating procedure in dealing with someone the police could not get locked up permanently was to buy them a bus ticket to another state and put them on the bus. Let it be someone else’s problem.

  9. These are not children they are crisis actors advancing a narrative, and a deceitful one at that.

Go ahead and weaponize the children though. Its a beloved tactic of despots worldwide, and usually doesnt end well for the children or those employing them.

  10. Well (and correctly) said RF. As tragic and gut wrenching as Cruz’ evil act was, even more gut wrenching is the disgusting spectacle of so called ‘main-stream, media, and anti- US Constitution, anti-American, totalitarian socialist control organizations, snapping, clawing, and salivating at the prospect of stripping Amercians of our God-given and Constitutional rights and freedoms.

These anti-American, anti-Freedom organizations feed upon the lives of the innocent with all too apparent shadenfreude, and even outright glee to advance and promote sedition, and the ultimate overthrow of our Constitutional Republic.

Make no mistake, they ARE coming for our guns, our rights, our liberties, our faith, our dignity, and ultimately our country.

  11. Of course they’re idiots. They are everything we have come to expect from years of government training. Or were you expecting something else from Pajama Boys and MeToo Girls?

  12. The problem is, we have allowed the anti Second Amendment crowd to define the terms.
A firearm is a tool which possess no evil intent on its own. Assigning intent to an inanimate object is the epitome of insanity. Demonizing a weapon on “looks alone” also marks the accuser as an unstable individual who is also insane. Call them out on their illogic and insanity.
Another dirty tactic the anti-Second Amendment crowd uses exposes children to potential and actual harm by putting them in “gun-free zones”. These people care not one wit about children, but uses them for their own nefarious purposes.
We need to TAKE BACK the argument…
When the antis blame the firearm for the actions of a criminal, state that: “a firearm is an inanimate object, subject only to the intent of the user. Firearms ARE used to preserve life and make a 90 lb. woman equal to a 200 lb. criminal.
When the antis attempt to justify their “gun free zones” counter their misguided argument with “you mean, criminal safety zones” or “victim disarmament zones”. State that “we protect our money, banks, politicians and celebrities, buildings and facilities with PEOPLE WITH GUNS, but protect our children with “gun-free zone” signs”.
When the antis criticize AR-15s in general, counter with: “you mean the most popular rifle of the day, useable by even the smallest, weakest person as a means of self-defense. Besides, AR-15s are FUN to shoot”. Offer to take them to the range and supply them with an AR-15, ammunition and range time. I have made many converts this way.
When the antis state that: “You don’t need an AR-15 to hunt with”, counter with “AR-15s ARE used for hunting, but in many states, are prohibited from being used to take large game because they are underpowered”.
When the antis state that: “AR-15s are high powered rifles”, correct them by stating that “AR-15s with the .223 or 5.56mm cartridge are considered medium-powered weapons–NOT “high-powered” by any means”.
When the antis state that: “you don’e need and AR-15”, counter with, “Who are YOU to considere what I need?”
When the antis state that: “the Constitution was written during the ime of muskets, and that the Second Amendment should only apply to “weapons of that time period”, state that: “by your logic, the First Amendment should not apply to modern-day telecommunications, internet, television, radio, public-address systems, books and newspapers produced on high-speed offset printing presses. Only “town-criers” and Benjamin Franklin type printing presses would be covered under the First Amendment”.
When the antis state that “only law enforcement and government should possess firearms”, remind them of the latest school shooting, as well as Columbine, where “law enforcement” SAT ON THEIR HANDS while children were being murdered, afraid to challenge the shooter, despite being armed to the hilt. The government-run murderous seiges at Ruby Ridge and Waco are also good examples of government (mis)use of firearms.
This tome can be used to counter any argument against any infringement of our Second Amendment.

  13. Quite often, firearms owners are their own worst enemies. The duck hunters don’t like the AR-15 “black rifles” so they see no problem if attempts are made to ban them. The traditional rifle owners don’t like machine guns, so they have no problem with them being legislated out of existence. Some pistol owners see nothing wrong with certain long guns being outlawed just as some rifle owners would have no problem seeing pistols banned.
Friends, ALL firearms advocates must “hang together” and realize that an assault on ANY means of firearms ownership and self-defense is an assault on ALL forms of firearms ownership and self-defense.
There is absolutely NO ROOM for complacency among ANY Second Amendment supporters. An attack on one is an attack on ALL…
ALL firearms laws are unconstitutional on their face. Imagine the hue and cry if “reasonable” restrictions were placed on First Amendment activities, especially with the “mainstream media”. The Second Amendment is clear–what part of “shall not be infringed” do politicians and the media not understand…of course, they understand full well…it’s part of their communist agenda…

    • Well put. The Fudds need to remember or be made aware that after the passage of the Clinton administration AWB that administration looked into banning all scoped rifles as “sniper rifles.” The only reason they didn’t was it was determined to be political suicide at the time.

Likewise he Brady campaign started out as the National Council to Control Handguns. They don’t just want scary black rifles, they want all guns.

  14. For reference most gun-grabbers have determined in their minds that “strong gun laws” (a la Japan or England) will lead to fewer serious injuries and deaths at the hands of violent criminals. They have taken this position convinced that:
    (1) There will be drastically fewer firearms available to criminals.
    (2) Criminals will use alternate weapons to avoid harsh firearm penalties.
    (3) Alternate weapons cause less severe injuries and fewer deaths.
    (4) Crime rates will stay the same or decline.

Thus, in their minds disarmament is a “no-brainer”.

    What they fail to realize:
    (1) Black markets will ensure a ready supply of firearms for criminals.
    (2) Criminals will be significantly emboldened and commit significantly MORE violent crimes — causing significantly MORE deaths and severe injuries.
    (3) Regardless of any possible social utility, the ends does not justify the means when the end is depriving people of their rights.

    • You forgot culture and demographics.

America has more guns than people.

We border the entire Third World of the Western Hemisphere below our border that the U.K. and Japan don’t deal with. Only Spain deals with a similar problem but they have a strait between them. Mexico and points south are awash with guns and ammo. They would send us anything we wanted.

Tell me again how the War on Drugs is working or how well Prohibition worked yet these idiots think the same will work with guns.

Japan is a polite, homogeneous, racist, xenophobic, police state. The U.K. deals with terrorism on the regular and has a higher crime rate than us.

  15. I want to know why four officers didn’t engage the shooter. I can see one of them being a coward but all four?. Why didn’t hey engage the shooter?
What is the policy in writing of engaging an active shooter?
Were the officers discouraged to engage by the brass?
Was there radio chatter during the shooting, what were those officers saying on the radio during the shooting?
This may be a conspiracy but it almost seems like they wanted this guy to snap and kill students(progressive ideology 101 “the ends justifies the means”)
The police knew about this guy and could’ve stopped him but they did nothing
the police did not engage shooter
the sheriff instantly blamed guns/gun owners/NRA/republicans
Democrat county/ sheriff took pics with hildabeast and burnie commie sanders

    • It is very possible that a “false flag active shooter drill” was taking place at the same time and that these “heroes” were told to stand down and wait. It turns out that almost every school mass-shooting had an “active shooter drill” going down at the same time. Go figure.

  16. Mr. Farago – I think you left out that these teens (who are probably narcissic and haven’t had an original thought yet, except what a teacher or parent planted in their minds) are probably being “handled” by their leftist-educated teachers backed up by the usual anti-gun-group suspects to advocate for anti-gun measures. And, out of a school population of 3,000 at Douglas, how many students are actually practising this activism? The anti-gunners and hoplophobic parents certainly found a few vocal few “victims” at the school that were willing to step forward, but most of the Douglas students don’t seem to have a dog in this fight, from what I’ve read, and remain silent. From what I’ve seen so far, the students’ handlers are doing a heckuva a job on the kids, getting them out there, giving them talking points and so forth.

  17. While they attend a government education center they remain uneducated, they lack study in civics and history and I suspect much else.

  18. Unless the students of the Florida high school have a plan to make roughly 300 million guns in the U.S. disappear, and keep law enforcement and the military from ever losing theirs, and make sure no one with a machine shop does not manufacture their own, and, oh yes children, seal the border so no new weapons come into the country (that means the ports, not just the Mexican border), then what are we talking about.
Everyone including the armed deputy on campus made this a gun free zone EXCEPT THE SHOOTER ! The current anti gun culture is slowly neutering Americans. Taken to a logical conclusion, the students would probably prefer no armed cops or teachers on campus with those icky guns. All they can do is spread the gun violence, correct. In a healthy independent culture the gun violence would have spread to one Nicholas Cruz and that would have been that.
As I said in a post yesterday, we are losing this war of hearts and minds. It does not matter what our spineless politicians do or do not do, we are losing.

“Give is the child for 8 years and he will be a Bolshevik forever.”
    V.I. Lennin

Who among us, the POTG, wonders why high school students think like those at The Nicholas Cruz School of Hard Lessons in Florida ?

  19. More crybaby boomers dismissing the opinions of the youth. Idiots because they don’t agree with you? It’s not black and white, right and wrong. You could turn so many of the arguments around on gun owners. Pawns of the republicans, parroting the opinions of a big money industry. Pieces like these just further alienate people who might partially agree with your cause, and turn it into more us vs them rhetoric.

  20. “Tools?” “Puppets?” “Exploited?”
LOL, these kids are trying to land a lucrative lifelong career on the national speaking circuit. They’ve just been “discovered” in the Hollywood sense, and now they’ve got to sieze this moment they’ve waited their whole lives for.

  21. They might be idiots, but they have sure scammed a way to get out of classes. Leave it to high school kids – who are simply brilliant at this – they’ll find a way to make it work for them.

  22. My favorite phrase is: “Individuals commit crimes; governments commit atrocities”.

What’s “funny” is something I realized in a conversation last week. The people who want to be tougher on gun crime also support “prison reform”… letting the violent criminals have another chance to commit crimes! Such a disconnect with reality is headache inducing.

  23. In this particular case: inside the classroom there was someone trying to take their life, outside of the classroom there’s people trying to take their liberty.

Unfortunately, for the kids, a lot of adults care more about their pursuit of happiness than yours. There’s adults out there who want to abort their responsibility one way or another so they can live the life they want.

  24. These pro gun control leftist students are politicking for jobs in the Demoncrat sycophant lame stream and fake news syndicate.

  25. when I was around 20 yo, the machinist at the shop I worked at stated ‘the youth of America is dead from the neck up’—–20 years later, I understood what he meant—–now 20 years after that, I hear stories of a Florida youth complaining about not getting a 15 or 20 percent tip at a carry out restaurant—-perhaps idiots is not the right word——-there is one question I have—-how did the persons that utubed the shooting as it was ongoing manage that, I guess I am not techy——if there was a gun, it could have ended the situation, a chair could have slowed him down, not that I am a hero, but don’t you have to be close for a cell phone picture?—–or was there a person there to document the incident??? where is this country heading?

  26. Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s Teenage Gun Control Advocates Are Idiots…ahhh…..but they are useful idiots.

  27. From my understanding there are some pro-gun kids at Stoneman. They were not given a voice because what they wanted to say “did not fit the narrative”.

Legit. Can we get a camera on some purple heart vets who have taken shots and yet still scream:

    “From my cold dying hands!”

  28. Soooo…..how come I keep seeing the girl with shaved head and the big nose in all of the photos of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s Teenage Hitler Youth Advocates?

  29. You’re a willingly pawn of people who want to disarm the American public to further their insane dream of a statist utopia. A dream that always turn into the nightmare of government sponsored mass murder.
Sort of like the Hitler Youth in the 1930s?

  30. I just got banned from Facebook for 30 days for pointing out the agreement between the high school and Broward Co SO for “non-enforcement” of crimes committed by students on campus so that the school would receive State and Federal money for more”student asses in the seat” days and added the hypocrisy of student spokes persons. Guess I hit the third rail of political coverups.

  31. I’m perfectly willing to talk about disarming citizens.

As a heads’ up, I’m inclined to assess any policy in terms of how much it aids or harms peaceful people living their lives as they choose. Your gun policy ought to lead to more people peacefully doing as they please. Otherwise … you hate them? Clearly, you hate them.

So, for folks with proposals, when you can keep guns (and every other tool of mayhem) out of the hands of all the whack-jobs, predators, thugs, and crazies, we can talk about disarming the peaceful ,responsible people who only want the chance to #shootback.

Until then, I’m uninterested in helping your shorten people’s lives. If you’d personally rather die quietly than #shootback, that’s your prerogative. Making that choice for other people is something else.

    Clear?

  32. those kids who are anti-gun and anti-arming teachers are operating under the premise that only police (and other armed appendages of the state) should be armed.

and yet we see from the broward county sheriff’s department that a person in danger cannot rely on cops to save them. (Same thing at the Pulse nightclub.)

furthermore, history is replete with examples in which armed appendages of the state murder their own unarmed populaces in volume so vast that the human mind can’t really grasp it. at the current US murder rate it would take thousands of years to rack up Stalin’s or Mao’s body counts.

the left used to say they were for the “little guy” and a bulwark against “the man”. but now the left IS the man, and they only care about the “little guy” when the little guy gives them a leftist soundbite.

  33. Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Jamaica are good examples of places with bans or severe restrictions on citizens lawfully owning guns. Each of these countries have murder rates that are multiple the US national murder rate.

Russia is particularly enlightening. Even though their murder rate is probably underreported, it is still much higher than the US rate. it is extremely difficult for citizens to get legal handguns or semi-automatic long guns. and furthermore, less than 100years ago their state apparatus committed mass murder on their mostly unarmed populace on a scale that dwarfs Hitler’s.
