march for our lives protest gun control

The Astroturf gun-grabbing operation known as March for Our Lives decided to reach for the moon in their recently-released blueprint for nationwide confiscation and gun owner licensing. They no doubt have no expectation of getting any of this any time soon. But make no mistake…these are dearly held items on every gun controller’s wish list.

March for Our Lives supporters said the proposed buybacks are part of an intentionally provocative plan designed to upend American gun culture. Many of the ideas in the plan are decades-old favorites of gun control organizations.

“It’s bold. It’s nothing like anyone else is proposing. We are really setting audacious goals,” Tyah-Amoy Roberts, a survivor of the Parkland shooting and a March for Our Lives board member, told the Washington Post. “And more than anything, what we are seeking to do is be intersectional. We know and acknowledge every day that gun violence prevention is not just about preventing mass shootings.”

While the confiscation of more than 100 million firearms from Americans may be the most audacious goal, it is not the only idea in the plan. The group also called for a ban on ownership of firearms without a special license from the federal government and payment of licensing fees. The system briefly sketched out in the group’s plan would require Americans, of whom about 120 million already report having a gun in their home, to have an in-person interview with law enforcement and provide references before the official would grant a license to purchase a firearm. The license would need to be renewed every year if granted.

      • The group also called for a ban on VOTING without a special license from the federal government and payment of VOTING fees. The system briefly sketched out in the group’s plan would require Americans, of whom about 120 million already report VOTING, to have an in-person interview with law enforcement and provide references before the official would grant a license to VOTE. The license would need to be renewed every year if granted.

See how easy that was. Works with Free Speech, Religion, Privacy and so on.

        • You need to throw in “and pass a test on the Bill of Rights and U.S Government” Then I could get behind that.

        • Sorry – they honestly could not do that because all demorats would miserably fail in every aspect. And what would they do if they cannot vote their Frankensteins and Blumenkohls into office anymore…

      • You mean the sniper that did not exist, the one that didn’t shoot at a rookie deputy? The same dumbass that admitted he faked it all? That was a bunch of bullshit, I hope they are doing more to that asshole than just firing him… I hate to say it but that piece of shit should never be permitted to put his hands on any type of firearm…..

        • Anybody want to bet that IF they even fire the twit, that he will just “gypsy cop” on over to another LE dept. elsewhere? Like maybe, the next County over?

        • He was terminated and they are going after him with false reporting charges and possibly a civil litigation to recover the expenditures that resulted from the SWAT callout, etc.

Please understand that all of us that are current or former LE want to lynch this guy. If only you could see the internal forum comments by everyone on PoliceOne.

        • Asshole deserves everything that comes his way, I can imagine how LE feels about it, this shit stain just rubbed himself all over eveyone that wears or has worn a badge… There is not enough shit in the book to throw at that clown…..

        • Why aren’t they going to investigate the Sheriff for trying to conceal the “embarrassing” lie?
The Deputy reported the shooting shortly after 3pm Wednesday, not reported in the news until Thursday morning and not admitting the truth until Saturday evening.
The first responders at the scene knew it wasn’t a shooting, it definitely was not a “through” wounding as suggested, but, none the less reported. Then there was statements made by the Mayor describing a deflection off the vest into the shoulder and from the Sheriff describing the door to door search for the shooter. And thennnn, there was a report of discovering a pellet gun that in my mind was part of a plot to explain away the wound as it turned out was a self inflicted bruise. On Saturday, finally coming to their senses, realizing they could not maintain a lie to coverup the “embarrassing incident” they decide (Sheriffs Department) to come clean and tell the truth. This is what should be discussed in the news. This corrupt Sheriff and her department is going to get a pass.

        • I knew the deflection thing was bullshit as the shooter was supposedly above the deputy and that would have created a downward deflection IF his shit was more than the daily stuff worn by cops under their clothes.. We know why there will not be any backblast on the Sherriff and the delay was to give them time to try to spin this into a crazed white nationalist firing on a hispanic cop since there was a lack of any crime scene evidence and no way to turn it into an attempted mass shooting with an “assault” rifle and high capacity mags…

        • @Mack,

It’s Los Angeles County, and the Sheriff is Alex Villanueva, so it’s a man, not a woman.

Villanueva has the dubious distinctions of (1) being the first Democrat to unseat a Republican Sheriff in an election in a full 100 years and (2) openly declaring that L.A. is now a “sanctuary city” in agreement with Mayor Garcetti. Villanueva has prohibited any cooperation with ICE or Federal Immigration agents.

    • Ah, man! I picked one up and bought another. (Ruger PC carbine and Sig 365.)

Guess we’re just not interested in doing our part.

    • Two things they’ll either confiscate with no compensation, or if there is compensation they’ll probably only give you 5% what it’s worth. So that HK MR556 you have the government will take it off your hands for a nice $400.00

    • The prospective buyer would pay for everything of course. That’s part of the plan to curb sales. Guns can’t be for low income folks who would be more likely to defend themselves in their low income neighborhood. They want to eventually make firearms available only to the wealthy and well connected, like New York City permit carriers.

  1. I’m looking for another Walther to add to the collection. I make sure to buy at least 2 a year on my way to completing my quest to have an example of every PPQ model. Yes I’m a fanboy.

  2. Have an in-person interview with law enforcement and provide references before the official would grant a license to purchase a smartphone, communicate online or worship at their chosen place of worship. The license would need to be renewed every year IF granted.

I fixed their plan, now it’s mobettergood.

  3. Our response must emphasize that the scale is already beyond the point of no return.

There are 400 million guns. Suppose you could reduce that number by an order of magnitude: to 40 million. Would those 40 million be beyond the reach of criminals, crazies or terrorists?

How realistic is it to gather up 400 – 40 = 360 million guns? Is it like taking candy from a baby? Could that be made to happen without creating a political or civil war?

Criminals, crazies and terrorists will be the last to give up their guns. Do you want to leave 400 million peaceable citizens at their mercy while driving toward a goal of 400 -> 40 -> 4 million guns?

Reducing the number of guns by 10 or 100 million isn’t going to change the availability of guns to criminals, crazies or terrorists.

    • There are no where near enough people employed to interview all the gun owners on an annual basis. That logjam is a feature not a bug. And not even close to enough men to confiscate all the guns, or even 30 percent. I wonder just how they think a gun ban is supposed to work on a practical basis.

      • Well first they’ll just keep your tax return. Then Cancel your driver’s license with your registration to follow. Are you an electrician, plumber, carpenter, HVAC technician or maybe truck driver. How about a nurse, hairdresser, dog groomer, licensed daycare provider. Professional licenses will be targeted. China is showing us how it’s going to be done. One of the benefits of so many jobs requiring licenses today is that it allows the government to better control the economy and our lives. They’ll put a hold on your debit and your credit cards, your lights won’t light and your water gets shut off. Your kids don’t come home from school one day. No, nothing is too much to much to protect the public.

        • Sesame credit is a threat. But, when you start snatching up peoples kids, jobs, homes, cars, and retirement.. then you will get a violent revolution you can’t stop. The big thing the modern left doesn’t realize is as hard as they want to go now means they’re going to lose. Figure it like this, the Democrats of the 90s and even 10 years ago, had a more “effective” form of gun control in mind. In that it wouldn’t be resisted violently. They essentially wanted to ban the “further sale” of guns they didn’t like, thereby making the ones on existing hands expensive and rare as time went on. However, as you stated, the NeoLeft wants hyper extremist methods in which your family, home, and wealth are threatened. That’s when people will fight. When you take everything from someone, they have nothing left to lose, and that’s the most dangerous type of enemy. Someone who has nothing left to lose has no reason to surrender or negotiate. They have victory or death. And that, is why the coming liberal totalitarian state will lose.

        • If they want to keep my tax “return” they are welcome to the bill. Took a bit to figure out how much NY screwed with payroll tax withholding after the tax cut.

        • To hank

quote—————–the NeoLeft wants hyper extremist methods in which your family, home, and wealth are threatened. That’s when people will fight. When you take everything from someone, they have nothing left to lose, and that’s the most dangerous type of enemy. ———————quote

As usual you have everything backwards. Big Brother will take nothing from you as long as you do as you are told and turn in the guns. No licenses will be revoked, only a few examples are necessary to make and terrorize the public into obeying. Its like taking candy from a baby. And remember there are enough non gun owners out there to turn you in if you do not obey because there are many people who know a lot about you already. Hiding anything is futile. And remember the government already knows enough about you to be at your door the next morning if you do not turn in your guns. The computer and paperwork trails lead right to your door step. You will hear the shouts of “Raus, Raus, (out, out) when the jack booted storm troopers beat machine carbines on your door butt first.

        • The boy does have some experience with stealing candy from babies, if no adults are watching and the baby has not started teething. When he was 12 years old, he went out trick or treating. He tried to take a tootsie roll from a toddler out on the street. She chewed him up pretty good. He was plagued with night terrors for six months after that. It was a recurring dream about cannibal preschoolers devouring him.

    • I’m not a criminal OR a terrorist (crazy is debaleable depending on who you talk to) but I will damn sure be one of those hanger-oners and I can assure that I pose no such threat to the general public as long as they do not pose a threat to me…

      • You can’t rule innocent men. This is why they have to keep making things illegal.

        Not a criminal or terrorist….yet.

        • Yeah I should have included that little three letter word because that’s where I’ll be, a criminal after the fact and if need be potentially a terrorist… but still no intention to harm the general public except in self defence.. I wouldn’t even get to be one of those “justice involved persons” because I’d never see a jail cell or a court room…

        • Been to jail, didn’t like it. Vowed to never return, That was 37 years ago and have managed to keep my self out of trouble since then. If they make me a criminal for doing nothing wrong I still intend on keeping that vow.

    • quote—————–How realistic is it to gather up 400 – 40 = 360 million guns? Is it like taking candy from a baby? Could that be made to happen without creating a political or civil war?—————————–quote

Its very realistic and quite doable. Australia did it in record time Just look at the pictures of giant industrial magnates picking up tons of guns on their way to the smelter.

When Big Brother ruled the proletariat obeyed the law “or else” and as the Nazi’s used to say “Everyone knew what or else meant”. Waco comes to mind in modern times in the U.S.

      • So you openly support genocide. Well of course you do, you’re a leftist. Leftist genocidal maniacs have killed more people in the 20th century then the Slave trade, religious wars, and monarchies combined.

      • Australia confiscated 650,000 firearms. From REGISTERED and LICENSED owners.

        That’s a good bit less than 400,000,000.

I never expected you to be good at math though.

      • Hey Vlad, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve said this but an Australian style gun buyback WON’T work in the USA.

The USA has a population about 15+X of Australia, and which has much higher rates of gun ownership and also much higher rates of self loading rifles and handguns. There is also a reluctance to increase taxes to fund the buyback. The only way to enforce the buyback will be through force with some shock-and-awe raids.

      • Oh Vlad, how sad… A mind is a terrible thing to waste (but you just don’t seem to care) At the time of the Australian “confiscation/ban” the population of the entire country was little more than 18 1/2 million (about 1/2 million shy of population of N.Y. state) and they confiscated about 650,000 guns, (Tx alone has nearly 600,000 REGISTERED firearms}. A recent update that included amnesty resulted in another 26,000 UNREGISTERED guns turned in anonymously… Even the Australian Ambassador to the U.S. has asked that politicians and journalists stop comparing the U.S. with Australia’s situation because it would be impossible to implement in the U.S. The Ambassador was a member of parliament at the time the law was written and helped write the legislation… Of course YOUR massive intellect is far superior to the man that helped write and implement the Australian ban/confiscation so maybe you should shoot him a tweet and point him in the right direction…. I’m sure he will instantly see the error of his ways… That’s the problem with you flaming liberals you choose YOUR TRUTHS instead of the FACTS.. And STOP trying to compare the U.S. to countries with populations that are less than just about any state in America…

        • Vlad is after all “The Genius of the Carpathians” and “The people’s poet”.

The last holder of the former title was Nicolae Ceaușescu, and we know how he ended up.

The latter title is from the character played by comedian Rik Mayall from “The Young Ones”/

        • Vlad is after all “The Genius of the Carpathians” and “The people’s poet”.

The latter title is from the character played by comedian Rik Mayall from “The Young Ones”.

      • He has a point. Confiscation will not be the oft imagined door to door raids. It will use high profile “examples” to convince the majority that resistance is just a waste of your life. It will be the incentivizing of compliance through many means, they will make it hard to not with the ever present fear of what they could do to you if you resist.

Tax returns? Kiss it good bye if you have contraband. Plus, there will probably be a daily fee for non compliance.
Access to health care, especially if we fully nationalize the system.
Custody of the kids? Fat chance.
How about your job? Will your employer hang on to an extremist domestic terrorist? Can you imagine how the screws could be turned on business and industry to further these ends?

        • Granted that there will be a very large number of gun owners that will coerced into compliance. But remember this it took only 3% of the population of fighting aged men to fight off the one of the largest, best trained, and best equipped armies of the era during our fight for independence. If it gets to the point that the government starts assassinating US citizens over gun confiscation don’t think that we the people will allow that to stand. It will bring about a war that no one will escape losses. The Republic will either be saved and restored or the United States will cease to exist.

  4. Lord, make me fast and accurate.

Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who would seek to destroy me.

Grant me victory over my foes and those that wish to harm me and mine.

Let not my last thought be “If I only had my gun”; and Lord if today is truly the day that You call me home, let me die in a pile of empty brass.

    • “Let me die in a pile of hot brass… surrounded by the bodies of my enemy.” There.
I like that better. It doesn’t meter as well though. Probably better your way.

      • They aren’t “felons” if you make it illegal to call them “felons”… now they are “justice involved individual”… See… no more “career felon” problem.

    • They’re talking about gun control. Criminal control is an entirely different subject that they don’t want to discuss.

      • I’ve noticed that, too
…even with mass shootings…where most have been by young black/brown males…but the news only seems to focus on it when the shooter is white….HMMMM

  5. Just out of curiosity: would the same FBI that failed to act to stop the well-known threat that eventually carried out the Parkland shooting be the same FBI that would be responsible for implementing most of these tyrannical schemes want to implement?

I do thank them, though, to putting the lie, unequivocally, to the common leftist talking point that no one is going to take your guns.

    • This is the same FBI that decided to raid Eptein’s island over a month after they had him in custody. I’m sure Christopher Wray has everything under control, in a status quo kind of way.

    • We are finally finding out WHY the Parkland shooter didn’t get the attention he deserved from the FBI, they were “all hands on deck” in 2016/17 trying to put an end to the Trump Presidency…

  6. “to have an in-person interview with law enforcement and provide references before the official would grant a license to purchase a firearm. The license would need to be renewed every year if granted”

Here is how that would go:

“Lets review the social media search report on you as well as the form you submitted for this permission. I see you are a registered Republican and live in a neighborhood considered by many to be a white, elite, and socially homogeneous middle class. You are a member of the NRA, IOOF, and a Mason. Your facebook page and detailed searches on your IP address web activity concerns us the most and leads us to believe you are hostile towards progressives. ”

“By the power invested in me by President Liz Warren I won’t authorize your license and hereby direct the deputies standing outside in the hallway to accompany you to your house to collect your firearms. Please refrain from using your phone at this time so we don’t have a scene when we get there.”

“You can appeal this decision through your attorney just be aware the backlog is a year and few are overturned.”
“Try applying in a few years after you’ve cleaned up your act and civilized yourself.”

      • Asked a cop once about getting a permit long before I got one.

He asked me why I wanted to carry a gun, did I look for trouble or want to shoot someone?

I asked him if that’s why he carried a gun.

He said it’s to protect himself.

I said well can I carry you?

  7. TTAG is working toward civilian disarmament by trying to destroy the NRA.

This blog really started to turn on Wayne after he mentioned “European-style socialists”.

@dan w – why do you hate Wayne so much?

      • Stop calling anyone who disagrees with you a troll. Ad hominem attacks- we are above that.

I support Wayne, but feel unsafe to say that here.

        • Anyone still supporting Wayne LaPierre is willfully ignoring undisputed facts verified as true by the NRA’s own internal as well as public documents. You should rightfully be ashamed to admit you still support an immoral and unethical con man and thief.

      • When you call someone names, and don’t address what they actually said, it implies they are right.

Did this blog’s authors turn on Wayne after the “European-style socialist” comment? Yes.

        • Unless the claim is on its face preposterous.
You and me stand outside in a downpour and you claim it’s not raining…not deserving of a point by point debate.

        • Nice logic there about name calling and facts. Doesn’t make sense especially in this case.

Read about King Wayne’s lifestyle funded by donations to the NRA yourself.

    • First, who is Dan W? I’ll assume you mean the Editor in Chief, Dan Zimmerman.

Like 99% of the people reading this, I had no idea what you meant when you said WLP mentioned “European-style socialists”. So I looked it up. WLP said that the enemies of the second amendment were coming from “European-style socialists” in February of 2018.
There’s a search bar for this website. Use it. https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/category/nra/
You’ll see that after the Feb 2018 date, TTAG published dozens of NRA press releases, positive letters from board members (https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/an-open-letter-from-nra-board-member-duane-liptak/) and many overall positive articles. TTAG published close to 100 articles after his “socialist” comment that were very positive toward the NRA, contrary to many of the readers’ opinions.
      Then, this happened:
“Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law.” https://home.nra.org/joint-statement
And a whole lot of ardent supporters of the 2nd Amendment took notice. Then the “unease” of 3d printed guns was noted. Then the NY suite exposed out of control spending. Then the clothing scandal. Then the travel scandal. Then the intern scandal. Then Ackerman McQueen. Then the lawyers. Then the NRA’s support of Red Flag laws. And now the ongoing mass exodus of prominent board members (17 now?)
As you can clearly see by the links provided, TTAG was actually MOST supportive of the NRA after his “European-style socialist” comment. TTAG only started publishing negative articles about the NRA after there was negative news to publish. And there’s a lot of it.
Also, yes, you are clearly a troll, probably paid or otherwise incentivized, but thanks for the opportunity to prove you have no idea what you’re talking about.
This is TTAG, MF. Bring your A-Game. #trollharder

  8. Maybe they’re talking about the 30% increase in illegals which also means they can’t own guns, based on that they’re correct.

  9. Again! IT’S ALL about the Authoritarianism!
THEY’LL just block off access to YOUR constitutional rights and the ability to purchase “ARMS” like in states like Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, etc…Especially, these places where “Cops” control YOUR Constitutional rights- out of existence…

    • Commiefornia has informed banks in the republik that run lines of credit for firearm manufacturers that continuing that business practice would EXCLUDE them from doing business with the republik.. They don’t need to go after owners, dealers or manufacturers, just cut off the cash flow and watch the industry bleed to death… Do the same thing to ammo mfg and their work is done, might take awhile but it will go quicker than any ban or confiscation program that might never get passed…

      • But again, this is an act of pure desperation. It cannot help but fail. Firearm manufacture is a huge business, and if they cannot run lines of credit in CA., they will run them in a different bank. Likely no gun manufacturers deal with CA. banks even now. If they do, its a simple matter to switch over. If all banks go this route, in all States, the gun makers will just have to form their own bank to stay in business, and they will.
Like the youtube bans, people will just create bitchute and full30 instead. It takes awhile before all the eyeballs move over, but now they aren’t under the king’s/google’s boot any longer. A net negative for the forces of evil. Knowing this, is why these forces have never tried this before. Because they knew it would fail, in the long term. But it will hurt for a while, and that’s enough for the antis now. Forget the plan…. just stall, stall, stall. Because we have the initiative now.

        • Problem is that most banks are now “NATIONAL” and if Ca stops dong business with BofA in Ca because BofA in Ct or Ma runs a line of credit with a gun manufacturer the result is the same and if Komradd Gavin can convince enough gun grabbing liberal govs to do the same thing it could create a situation where either gun mfgs or the several liberal states will lose…

  10. “And more than anything, what we are seeking to do is be intersectional. We know and acknowledge every day that gun violence prevention is not just about preventing mass shootings.”

That’s a very curious statement. Since I had only a vague idea what ‘intersectionality’ was, I turned to the closest thing us Earthlings will ever have to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Wikipedia.

‘Intersectionality, also called intersectional feminism, is a branch of feminism asserting how different aspects of social and political identity discrimination overlap (“intersect”) with gender.[1] It is a qualitative analytic framework that identifies how interlocking systems of power affect those who are most marginalized in society.[2][verification needed] The term was coined by black feminist scholar Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw in 1989.[3][4][5] There are various forms of social stratification, such as class, race, sexual orientation, age, religion, creed, disability and gender, which are included in the consideration of intersectional feminism and its social and cultural effects. The purpose of intersectionality is to identify that these forms of discrimination are related to one another, and take these relationships into account when working to promote social and political equity.[1] While the theory began as an exploration of the oppression of women of color within society, today the analysis has expanded to include many more aspects of social identity. Intersectionality may also be related to the term triple oppression, which engages with similar themes. Critics have pointed out that intersectionality relies entirely on non-objective concepts such as “systems of power” which themselves lack a material reality, and therefore empirical basis for study, making it an ideological set of ideas, and not a proper sociological concept.’

So by making gun control ‘intersectional’ they apparently intend to base their licensing scam on factors like race, gender and religion. Either only preferred races, genders and religions will be awarded licenses or there would be a quota system. Only a fixed number of permits for whites and a fixed number for Jews, etc. would be awarded, based not on merit but your intersectional status. Frankly it sounds very much like Adolf HItler’s intersectional gun control where good pure Aryans were permitted weapons but the bad Jewish untermenschen were denied the right to keep and bear arms.

This isn’t just about mass shootings, indeed.

    • Dude – stop talking about Hitler. If you lived in the Weinmar, and had Jews trying to pimp your daughter into prostitution and hyperinflation- you might not like them too. Read a book about the Weimar Republic.

You’ve been watching too much TV. I mean- it’s Jews today that are trying to take away our 2A rights and force drag queen story hour on your kids.

      • It’s the democrats pushing that. People that only see Jews pushing that are just looking to blame Jews for something they don’t like. It just so happens that most American Jews are democrats. But democrats aren’t necessarily Jews. As a matter of fact, there’s been a sharp increase in anti-semitic behavior in democrats since they started promoting Muslims as a protected class.

        • I believe the Jewish vote usually goes about 70% Demoncrat. Orthodox Jews almost exclusively vote Republican. And that Demoncrat number is likely dropping as the Party keeps supporting anti-semites like AOC and Omar.

  11. The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution requires “Just Compensation” for the taking of property. The Supreme Court has upheld this requirement many times, with “market value” being the standard of what “Just Compensation” means.

In 2017 the citizens of the USA were estimated to own about 394 million guns. Today we certainly own some millions more.

Even a conservative estimate of what it would take to confiscate and pay for all those guns is not less than $500 each, on average. That’s $200,000,000,000 dollars, before you fight the resulting civil war.

So, they want to cut only 30% of the guns? Well, that’s $60,000,000,000 dollars, and again it is before you fight the resulting civil war.

So I don’t see this reduction in guns in the USA happening as quickly as they dream of. It will happen though, slowly, a step at a time. Because the defenders of the Second Amendment refuse to do anything about preventing attacks, the public sentiment will continue to go the wrong way on the false problem of guns.

    • Not only does the takings clause of the 5th Amendment require just compensation, it also only allows for the government to take property for public USE, not benefit, not purpose, etc., but USE. Taking property for destruction is not a public use. The government can only legally seize guns if they intend to use them.

      • Sorry Guv, Kelo vs the City of New London pretty much put that to bed. Even local government can take take private property and give it to another private entity merely on the speculation that the 2nd entity will pay more taxes, thereby benefiting the community. The exercise of eminent domain does not need to involve actual public use. The most incredible thing about the Kelo case is that after uprooting an entire neighborhood, taking their property and building the plant, Pfizer closed it down and pulled up roots shortly thereafter leaving for greener and cheaper pastures.

        • Yes, there is the Kelo case which should go down in SCOTUS history as the third worst decision in court history behind Dred Scott and Roe v Wade (Justice Roberts contortion of the meaning of the word ‘tax’ probably ranks 4th). But even with Kelo, only the buildings were destroyed, not the land, which was where the bulk of the value was.

Another consequence of the Kelo case is that states all over the country rewrote their eminent domain laws to prevent that kind of seizure.

    • Fuck “public sentiment”. Commies shouldn’t be allowed to vote in the first place. I’m still hoping Trump goes ahead and declared Martial Law until the DNC is dealt with like the terrorist organization they are.

    • Our best protection is one more conservative Supreme Court Justice, and hopefully two more. Now that’s civil war talk for the left.

      • Even that is a short term win. As long as these mass killings happen the public sentiment will continue to shift against us. Our pro-Second Amendment leaders are consistently failing to understand this. We should have very loud voices calling for prevention of violence.

Such as the US Secret Service Safe Schools Initiative. Or the inner city work of CureViolence.org. Plus many other approaches to detect and prevent human violence. That is what the NRA, NRA-ILA, the GOA and the SAF and dozens of State gun rights outfits should be making lots of noise about.

Instead the continue to fight the political battle they have been handed, the one that insists all this must be about guns.

It’s kinda’ stupid, fighting the fight only on your opposition’s terms.

        • Ruth Bader is 86. Neil Gorsuch is 51. Brett Kavanaugh is 54. Trump will most likely nominate at least one more Justice in their 50’s, and maybe two more. Check the math on that. We could have a conservative Supreme Court for an entire generation. Presidents will come and go. Congress will change back and forth. This is the best way to protect our rights, which is why egotistical fools like Glen Beck (I know he has NOW changed his mind), Joe Walsh, Mitt Romney, etc. don’t give a rat’s ass about conservative principles. They’re only out for themselves.

      • Just remember that the Democrats are threatening to “pack the court” if/when they are in power again. Since the number of justices is not defined in the Constitution, they can simply decide to raise the limit to, say, 15 and pack them with Liberals. (5 Senators recently threatened SCOTUS with just that if they agree to hear the NYC gun case – so don’t put it past them!)

        • I know, it’s very scary. Since the number of Justices has remained the same for so long now, I don’t think the majority of Americans would ever support this. This would be a straight up obvious power grab of epic proportion that would even turn off fair minded democrats and independents. Yes there is such a thing. You just don’t hear about them much anymore.

        • Who says Americans have a choice.. Give the left the White House and the Senate and they can do whatever the hell they want and since the SCOTUS does not have a set number of Justices they could pack in six or eight AOCs and theres not a damn thing anyone could do about it.. A bunch of 30 something Socilists could turn us into Venezuela in one four year term….

        • What the majority of Americans want doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is what the ones with the power to do something about it want. The choice is who that minority is and what it is they are going to do.

    • And that’s just the purchase price, not counting overheads on paperwork, labor, disposal, enforcement, etc which could easily surpass that number on its own.

  12. Let’s just get on with CWII. I’m starting to loose my sight and I want to get in on the action before I can’t see my sight.

  13. How dumb are these assholes? A 22 second education on govt regulations should be adequate to get these morons to understand that every firearm is required by law to have a serial number and every firearm manufacturer is required to keep a record of that firearm and the original dealer it was sold to. Every FFL dealer in the U.S. is required to process a background check form which includes make model AND serial number of the firearm and that shit never goes away…. So they basically already have a national firearm and gun owner registry (shhhhh it’s a secwett)…. If someone wants to commit a crime and needs a gun but is excluded from possessing one for whatever reason they will find a way to get one, and if they confiscated every legally owned firearm in the country there would still be plenty of stuff left to satisfy the needs of todays criminal….

  14. I wonder how many firearms these twits would send to HK? I think there likely are many residents of HK who now would support a 2nd for their slice of hell. The chicom overlords are getting a bit frisky. However as they are recent vassals of house of Windsor, and the subjects of once great Britain, I may be wrong about their understanding of Freedom.

    • Criminal control isn’t in their vocabulary. They think the NRA is gunning down inner city youths, and is the one responsible for Parkland. It’s amazing how dumb these activists are.

    • Under socialism and especially under Marxism, criminals are a protected class and are considered ideologically close.

  15. I HOPE WE’RE NOT MISSING THE POINT! That is, that the Left has a LONG-TERM GENERATIONAL PLAN to ultimately repeal the 2nd Amendment, following which banning & confiscation becomes less complicated from a legal perspective. What are they doing? They’re following the same path that the LGBT community followed so successfully. (Think about it: Who would ever have imagined 20 or 30 years ago that the Gay lifestyle would become an accepted alternative lifestyle with legal backing for marriage equality?)

PLEASE NOTE: I’m NOT Gay bashing or passing judgement on the LGBT lifestyle, I’m just pointing out the strategy they used to accomplish their goals and how it applies to our defense of the 2nd Amendment!

So how did they do it? (And think about the correlation with the Left’s attack on gun ownership):

    1) THEY OBTAINED THE SUPPORT OF THE MEDIA AND HOLLYWOOD which did a lot to portray the lifestyle as an acceptable alternative.

    – GUNS: Although Hollywood’s productions are still violent, bloody and unrealistic, the actors almost always come out condemning gun ownership (and for some unknown reason people listen to them!). And most of the media distorts the facts by skewing and downplaying the positives while focusing on fallout from the tragedies; referring to the “evil” of gun ownership.

    2) THEY IMPACTED EDUCATION by, ever so gradually, including the LGBT lifestyle in the curriculum as being “acceptable.” This resulted in a generation of kids who were pretty well indoctrinated that this was a mainstream lifestyle.

    – GUNS: Surveys are showing that today’s teenagers are far more anti-gun than previous generations, which bodes poorly for the 2nd Amendment at some point when they become of age.

    3) THEY USED TRAGEDIES TO THEIR ADVANTAGE. It’s generally agreed that the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City and the the murder of Harvey Milk in 1978 were the tipping points that pushed our society toward ultimate acceptance of the lifestyle.

    – GUNS: It would seem that the recent spate of mass shootings, especially since Parkland, have served as the tipping point in the Left’s ultimate goal of 2A repeal.

    4) FINALLY, THEY USED EMOTIONAL ARGUMENTS that pretty much drowns out arguments based on facts.

    – GUNS: It doesn’t matter if we say that 60% of gun deaths are suicides, 20% are gang/drug related and 10% are justifiable homicides (defensive shootings by police or armed civilians).

    – It doesn’t matter that we can say, with assurance, that the final 10% of gun deaths, the actual homicides, makes our per capita rate of gun deaths equal to most other countries (including Australia).

    – It doesn’t matter that we can show statistics that prove that more lives are saved by the presence of a defensive gun than are lost through all categories of gun related deaths.

    – The bottom line is that it’s very hard to counter the emotional arguments (which certainly are real) of families who have lost children, friends and other loved ones with statistics. That’s an argument we’re guaranteed to lose, even though we are right!

THE END RESULT: It’s now politically incorrect to be “homophobic” (whatever that really means) and to not be supportive of the Gay lifestyle.

    – GUNS: The end result will be to portray gun owners as evil, heartless self-centered people who care more about our guns than about people! Once that image takes hold, it’s very difficult to un-do it.

SO WHAT’S THE ANSWER? I believe we need to catch up by being purposeful and coordinated rather than reactionary, but it’ll be an uphill battle.

    – It’s no longer ok to use the argument that “It’s my right to have a gun, so go f**K yourself!” Or to walk around in fatigues with an AR-15 strung over our shoulder to purposely flaunt our rights. (People who are not oriented to the gun culture are, for the most part, afraid of guns – I used to be. This isn’t how we can bring them to our side.

Most importantly, our national organizations (NRA, GOA, SAF, etc) need to get together to develop a professional communications and marketing strategy that will focus on the BENEFITS of guns to the society; while calling on our elected leaders to deal with the issues related to suicide and gang/drug violence. After all, the Left’s messaging is emotional, coordinated and successful – we need to match that strategy, but it will require our national organizations to take the lead. (Sadly, I don’t see that happening any time soon because they don’t really listen to us, and then it might be too late).

In other words, we need show that we understand the public’s fears and show that we want to be part of the solution while retaining the integrity of the 2nd Amendment. I really hope we can pull this off.

    • My morality does change with time.

Homosexual behavior has been universally frowned upon for all time in all cultures in all religions.

      Ban gay.

    • That was a long post. I’ll sum up my position on the matter with a single, simple statement:

**Homosexuality – by its very definition – is self-extincting and not part of the natural biological order.**

Ponder this and draw your own conclusion.

      • The post was too long, sorry about that. But you’re missing the point. I personally don’t give a rat’s-ass about who people choose to sleep with. I was just trying to point out that the STRATEGY they use was very successful for them, and the Left is using that same strategy against us – with good effect!

        • I get it. Live and let live, but you were spot on in that strategy. It worked and it continues to work. They’re employing the same strategy for other goals.

      • My conclusion is that if it was self extincting, it would no longer exist. As it does exist, the statement is false.

        • No, I get what he means. Biologically speaking, two of the same sex cannot reproduce, therefore the two people in such a relationship cannot further their bloodline/genetics. Perhaps as the planet’s population grows ever larger, this is nature’s own way of reducing the rate of growth.

      • Not true. If it was self-extincting, it would be extinct by now.

Some behaviors are determined by not one gene, but a group of genes acting in concert. They work more like graphic equalizers on a stereo than simple on/off switches like a light bulb. This explains why sexuality is a spectrum of behaviors and not just gay or straight. It is also possible that whatever controls “gayness” also controls some biologically useful behavior, which would explain why it doesn’t go extinct.

        It’s complicated.

    • Time to support school choice to get away from the democrat mandated indoctrination. Hollywood will always be democrat. Notice how they tend to make the bad guy a republican. They even did it way back in 1947 in Miracle on 34th Street.

Dumb people that can’t debate facts resort to emotion.

    • quote——————-THE END RESULT: It’s now politically incorrect to be “homophobic” (whatever that really means) and to not be supportive of the Gay lifestyle.———–quote

It means Herr Hauptman that all Americans have the same Constitutional rights and no amount of Hitler glorification of the mass murder of gays or discrimination against them by nut case religious fanatics will be tolerated in a civilized society.

quote———————– GUNS: The end result will be to portray gun owners as evil, heartless self-centered people who care more about our guns than about people! Once that image takes hold, it’s very difficult to un-do it——————-quote

Basically because for a large part of the gun owning people that is certainly an accurate statement. The bigotry, xenophobia , gay bashing homophobia, immigrant hating and refugee hating horrify the majority of the American population who view gun owners as uneducated six pack beer guzzling bearded wacko’s that want to over throw the government because they do not want to pay taxes or want any civilized gun control that would keep dangerous weapons out of the hands of the insane or the far right jack booted revolutionists who long for the good old days of the KKK and white Supremacists groups like the Aryan Brotherhood who once openly paraded down the main streets of major cities and portrayed themselves as the only true Americans.

quote————————In other words, we need show that we understand the public’s fears and show that we want to be part of the solution while retaining the integrity of the 2nd Amendment. I really hope we can pull this off.————–quote

The Far Right has failed to come up with any solutions to mass murdering maniacs using assault rifles. They have failed to fund Medicare for All that would have provided mental health services, they have failed to support universal back ground checks, they have failed to support safe storage laws, they have failed to support gun owner licensing that would entail a mental health qualification to get a gun purchasing permit.

      • Hands down, the boy knows more about failure than any other commentator on this web site. He once failed first grade arts and crafts. He was in the seventh grade at the time. The first grade teacher never did figure out how he snuck into her classroom. The principal had to revise the entire building’s security protocols after that little fiasco.

      • VLAD TEPES: That was a very interesting response; basically stating that “the majority of the American population view gun owners” as:

        – Bigoted
        – Xenophobic
        – Gay bashing homophobes
        – Immigrant and refugee haters
        – Uneducated six pack beer guzzling wackos that want to overthrow the government
        – Do not want to pay taxes
        – Do not want any “civilized” gun control
        – Racists who long for the days of the KKK and white supremacy
        – Etc.

Unlike you I’m going to try very hard not to be rude or sarcastic (but if I can’t maintain that standard, oh well – I’m sure you can handle it!) EDIT: As I just finished and re-read this: Nah, I didn’t maintain that standard!!

So what you are doing is what the Left typically does: You try to create stereotypes and then plug an entire segment of people into those labels. Interestingly, all of your descriptions are exactly what the Left refers to as “The Deplorables!” – whether they own guns or not! So I don’t know why you’re wasting our time posting your nonsense here – you might as well go to any Right leaning forum with or without guns – and post the same thing!

So let me give you a lesson in civics, because you obviously need it:

        1) EVERY SEGMENT of society (yeah, even those on the Left) have people in their midst who are as you described. That can include teachers, lawyers, police, manual laborers, truck drivers, physicists … you name it – every segment! Some may hide it better than others – with a suit – or with a good command of the language – etc. And some are secure enough that they don’t try to hide it.

        2) The problem for your integrity is that you don’t understand that the majority of each group does NOT fall into your categories, although I have a hunch that EVERY human being, i they”re honest, deals with at least one of them!

        3) Further, your lack of integrity results in people not being able to trust what you say as being accurate because you’re trying to fill in the blanks with your own prejudices and suppositions.

As far as the segment of the population that “hates immigrants and refugees,” as usual you’re creating a straw man and a stereotype! The majority of people who are in favor of a wall and tighter immigration laws do NOT hate immigrants. Most of us (and I admit I’m one of them) have no problem with LEGAL immigration, because we know there’s value in that and it’s how our country became great!

        – Our issue is with ILLEGAL immigration, and in particular, the morons on the Left who encourage and enable it. And they don’t encourage it because of compassion – that’s a facade. They do it because of the possibility of creating a future super majority of Left-voters once amnesty is granted, as it ultimately will be! So if there’s any anger or hatred, it’s primarily with the enablers (and of course, the illegals who break our laws, kill our people, and are protected in sanctuary cities!)

As far as the segment of the population that owns guns and are pro-2nd Amendment: I know that many are passionate about this country and the overall good it has done in spite of flaws in our history. (It used to be called patriotism, but that’s fallen out of vouge with the Left! We become particularly passionate and angry when we see bigoted people (yeah – like you and the Left) trying to change history by tearing down statues, demeaning the value of the Constitution, minimizing the role of the Founders, etc. When we see people trying to dismantle the 1st & 2nd Amendments, it’s hard to not get angry even though we know that most are doing it in ignorance, and some at the political level, for personal gain!

We’re also tired of seeing self-serving politicians (and people like you who just spout nonsense because it sounds good) apply “feel good” band-aid fixes without making an effort to deal with the underlying issues of suicide, gangs & drugs that actually are the basis of 80% of the gun deaths!

So since you have so much to say (words, not substance), please share with us the “realistic” or “sensible’ gun control laws that YOU propose that would NOT impinge on the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding citizens, but that would impact criminals and crazies! Go ahead, you can do it (but only realistic suggestions, not impossible ones like total confiscation!)

Please do, I want to see something intelligent come out of your computer!

        • quote———————–So since you have so much to say (words, not substance), please share with us the “realistic” or “sensible’ gun control laws that YOU propose that would NOT impinge on the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding citizens, but that would impact criminals and crazies! Boy your really stepped in the cow manure on this one. This will be fun exposing your lies.

History is on my side. In Japan people do indeed own both rifles and shotguns and they do not have the mass murders we do (251 and counting this year). Japan and Britain have had Zero. Europe has had only 2 in the last couple of years. Again History proves you wrong when it comes to better gun control and I already mentioned them in my post that you criticized.

The Radical Far Right (you and your deplorable s) hate all immigrants and refugees with a passion. Herr Drump last week even changed Federal rules to start starving to death LEGAL IMMIGRANTS by denying them citizenship even if they are only temporarily on welfare. Yeah tell me how much you disingenuous people love immigrants. Your hate is seething to put it mildly.

Or the refusal of the Far Right Radical Republican Criminals to give citizen ship to the Daca Children who grew up to adulthood in the U.S. and most cannot even speak Spanish nor have they lived any of their lives in any Spanish speaking country. They have jobs and many have college degrees yet people like you scream for their deportation.. Yeah what a joke, tell me how much you love immigrants.

quote———————-So if there’s any anger or hatred, it’s primarily with the enablers (and of course, the illegals who break our laws, kill our people, and are protected in sanctuary cities!)————–quote————-

Again you show your paranoia and seething hatred of ALL refugees and immigrants. The Stats show that the majority of crime is committed by natural born citizens not refugees, and above all not by illegal immigrants because the last thing they want to do is draw attention to themselves because they are here illegally. Refugees are obeying the laws and trying to apply for asylum and the Far Right Trump hating Nazi gestapo has done everything possible to prevent them from legally applying even going so far as to launch an reign of terror against them by kidnapping their children. Its right out of Nazi Germany in the 1940’s.

AND HERR HAUPTMAN SANCTURARY CITIES ARE DOING WHAT U.S. LAWS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT ARE NOT DOING UNDER HERR DRUMP AND HIS JACK BOOTED RIGHT WING STORM TROOPERS.

And as far as LEGAL IMMIGRATION. The Trump Nazi’s have lowered the percentage of legal immigration into the U.S. to the lowest percentage since the anti-immigration laws in the U.S. in the 1930’s which HITLER COPIED FROM THE U.S. AND STUDIED BEFORE HE BEGAN HIS PERSECUTION OF MINORITIES. NOW THINK ABOUT THAT, IT WAS THE U.S. AND NOT HITLER THAT FIRST STARTED EXTREME PERSECUTION OF AND DISCRIMINATION AGAINST REFUGEES AND MINORITIES. Hitler of course being a dictator got away with killing them in the end.

Today Herr Drump and the Far Right have resurrected all of the past sins of both the German Nazi’s and the abuses of immigrants by the U.S. of that era. And remember the U.S. turned two very large boat loads of Jews away which were sent back to Nazi Germany to be killed and the U.S. government knew it was going to happen. Trump today is carrying on these policies and is resurrecting them and he is getting refuges killed by deporting them back to the countries they escaped from because they were fleeing certain death. NPR REPORTED TONIGHT THAT ANOTHER REFUGEE THAT WAS DEPORTED AND NOT GIVEN AMNESTY WAS IMMEDIATELY KILLED WHEN HE LANDED BACK IN HIS COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. SHADES OF NAZI GERMANY ALL OVER AGAIN AND HERR DRUMPF IS MASTERMIND OF THE SLAUGHTER.

Last week a Trump Nazi even proposed trashing the inscription on the statue of liberty and revising it to slander and demean all immigrants to this country. Again tell me how much you people on the far right support legal immigration. Your own words trash what America has always stood for.

Yes people like you must be watched for what policies you promote and approve of not some double talk claiming that you support legal immigration and adherence to our already in place refugee asylum laws which you have totally trashed.

        • When the boy was about ten years old, I was sitting in the kitchen one morning, drinking a cup of coffee. A rock came sailing through the window. I looked out into the backyard and saw him stooping to pick up another one. I went out and asked him if he had broken the window. He admitted his guilt. Then, he got a shocked look on his face when he realized he had just told the truth for the first time in his life. He immediately started convulsing and fell into a coma. After he was released from the hospital, I had a lot of fun trying to replicate that event. I would ask him if he wanted an ice cream cone or if he wanted to go to Disneyland. But, he had learned his lesson. With iron discipline, he has refused to allow the truth to pass his lips ever again.

The Racist traitorous statues that you rant on about were actually for the most part erected in the 1960’s long, long, long after the Civil War . Why? Historians point out it was to intimidate blacks who were being prevented from voting and were protesting over civil rights. Historians agree that the States that seceded were traitors to the U.S. and if they had succeeded the U.S. today would be a 3rd world country of constantly warring States. When you erect statues to traitors it only shows how depraved the Far Right still is today and how racist they still are. No sane person aware of U.S. History would be proud of Confederate Statues that worship people who promoted slavery. And no Civilized person would not be aware of how offensive those statues are to Black people in the U.S.

        • TO JEFF MEHL

quote———————————– When we see people trying to dismantle the 1st & 2nd Amendments, it’s hard to not get angry even though we know that most are doing it in ignorance, and some at the political level, for personal gain!————-quote

And you mentioned the 1st Amendment. That is the Amendment that is loathed and hated by the Far Right. They scream about Second Amendment rights and do everything possible to destroy the 1st Amendment that they hate with a passion. Herr Drump has constantly tried to destroy the free press by calling all of it fake news. He has been condemned not only by the majority of the U.S.Citizens and all majority News Papers including old line traditional news papers that have been in this country for over 100 years. All I repeat all foreign democracies as well have condemned Trumps attack on the free press, yet the Far Right supports Trumps attack on the 1st Amendment 100 per cent and the majority of Right Wing internet sites ban anyone who does not tow the jack booted party line as there can be no descent.

        • These lengthy, irrational screeds remind me of the old days, when the boy was just a little tyke. When he was just learning to talk, he would babble on like this for hours. I believe he was in the third or fourth grade at the time. Mostly, he was trying to communicate with his stuffed animals. He would spout gibberish at them and when they did not respond, he would start shrieking and biting them. We were picking bits and pieces of stuffing out of the carpet for two years.

  16. Let’s start calling our guns/firearms “non, nons, my non”, my nons…. etc.

That way these snowflakes and daiseys can hold signs that read: “I’m a non sense voter”.

And it’ll more accurately (pun intended) described these dingbat “anti non,” liberal socialist, progressive marxist democrat commie bastids.

    Laugh for the day…..

  17. Fact: Democrats do not care about your rights or what is right or wrong. Who do they think is going to take your guns? Most law enforcement see this for what it is, a constitutional violation and they will not be going around taking guns. the few cops that do go along with confiscation will stop after about the 30th firefight. The liberal progressives don’t see that this will cause a civil war. Those Americans who took an oath to defend the constitution will rather die on their feet that be slaves.

        • Technically speaking there is no National Guard and it has not been a separate State entity for years. The Feds Nationalized control of it years ago to prevent any State resistance to big brothers complete control over any military unit.

        • The boy thinks the armed guards at the bank are Army Rangers and the lifeguards at the pool are Navy Seals.

        • “The National Guard is not the military. Also, they didn’t take fire.”

Actually, I recall that either the Guard or local LE did take fire at one point, and retreated for ‘safety’…

    • As much as I want to believe the ‘Oath Takers’ will honor that oath, we’re not seeing it as police around the country are enforcing Red Flag Laws; including the death of at least one citizen. Maybe the military is different, but I wouldn’t count on it. I hope this isn’t just wishful thinking!

  18. These little fascist pigs really don’t have a problem with “gun ownership” per se, what they’re against is INDIVIDUAL rights (as opposed to collective rights). In their view, the government is the highest expression of the collective will and therefore all of us must be subservient to it. Any “right” we have is granted to us by the collective, and the very idea of individual citizens owning firearms in order to serve as an effective means to counter government tyranny strikes the Left as profoundly “anti democratic” and dangerous.

The Left of today only exists as it does because we now have several generations who weren’t taught Civics, they were propagandized by a bunch of radical Baby Boomer teachers – from kindergarten to College – and now they form a big block of voters. They have absolutely no understanding of the foundational principles of the Country or why the Founders wrote the Constitution the way they did, and whereas the Founders thought unchecked “democracy” was nothing but mob rule and antithetical to individual liberty, the modern Left rejects individual liberty in favor of “democracy”.

  19. That does it! I’ve had an 80% aluminum lower clamped on the drill press compound table for a couple months now. Time to mill and drill and build another AR to go along with the other 7 I built.

  20. Hmmmm,,, I’m thinking. NO.
Here’s what I’m seeing. They wish to remove from me a legally purchased item that has never harmed anyone but me. ( The bolt slammed on my pinky finger). Ain’t gonna happen.
OK,, Alcohol in general has never been outlawed other than prohibition.Yet Alcohol has ruined more lives physically, financially and mentally than guns(other than war) ever have. It is the cause of millions of divorces, Millions of dollars each year due to DUI’s financially breaking people. It has caused untold thousands of deaths each year in auto accidents, internal organ collapses, Suicides, and yes Murders in one form or another. I could go on. Yet it is still advertised as a fun thing to do at sporting events, parties, social gatherings. And the list goes on. Don’t get me on the tobacco deaths. Don’t get me wrong, I am by no means trying to tax or ban any of these products. My point is,,, if you are so fuzzy about protecting lives of the innocent, why not go all out and ban everything that harms people. After all, it worked on the Demolition Man.

  21. quote——————— The system briefly sketched out in the group’s plan would require Americans, of whom about 120 million already report having a gun in their home, to have an in-person interview with law enforcement and provide references before the official would grant a license to purchase a firearm. The license would need to be renewed every year if granted.————-quote

This is nothing new to people familiar with the gun control laws of foreign countries. Its standard operating procedure. Although the renewal time varies from country to country.

Its long overdue for the U.S. and would cut out about 90 per cent of nut cases getting guns or keeping those they may previously had legally if they became erratic.

    • “… would cut out about 90 per cent of nut cases getting guns…”

This assertion has no basis in facts, nor does it reflect the reality of the countless errors and omissions by LE and Federal regulators.

      • History has proven you wrong, very wrong. Japan and British gun control laws come to mind as they showed the world how it is done.

        • Japan and Great Britain? No thanks, think I’d rather be shot than sliced and diced! Or did someone make that up too? Dont bother responding, bot.

        • When the boy was a senior in high school, I asked him to find Japan on a globe. He pointed at Lake Michigan. Then I asked him to point at Great Britain, he put his dirty finger on Syria. I have him half a point for that one.

      • No offense intended Mr. Bradford, but there is no room for facts or reality in any discussion with the boy. Please, do not misunderstand me. You can use reason with him, as long as “Reason” is the name engraved on your leather strap.

        • Sir, I just LOVE your comments. Keep going and bring the rest of the family as well (unless there are more kids)

        • I used to just skip past Vlad’s psychotic raves, but now that Vlad’s Dad is volunteering the backstory, I look forward to Vlad’s posts. I still skip past them, though.

  22. Since Women and Minorities are buying guns @ a rate over 200% greater than the rest of population i would call that oppression and discrimination trying to take away their rights to self defense if we want to speak about equality for all.

  23. Curious, they mention guns in circulation, n intersectionality, but never once more life lived unmolested by predators, thugs, n crazies.

Apparently, people living their lives isn’t the point.

(.5 to 2.5 million DGUs / year, says the CDC, is quite a bit of life secured through using a gun. With some 100s of millions in circulation, not harming anyone, it does seem “more guns; more living.”)

  24. My goal would be to see an increase in private firearms ownership, especially in the United States, where we have the 2nd Amendment, which guarantees the right of ordinary, individual citizens to own, possess and shoot firearms.
