The MBUS 3 incorporates the best features, strengths, and value of our original MBUS and MBUS Pro Sights in a feature-packed back-up sight system. Significantly reduced in size from the MBUS, it sits at just .44” when folded and 1.15” at its widest point.
Constructed of our impact-resistant polymer, it’s lightweight and extremely durable and its aesthetics and features are derived from the MBUS Pro line. With the same spring-loaded technology as its predecessor, it can be deployed with an ambidextrous push-button. It sits at standard AR-height when deployed and includes tool-less elevation adjustments and a dual width enhanced front sight.

Not to be pedantic, but shouldn’t that lead read “MBUS 3 Plastic Sights”?
The term “iron sights” refers to any open, non-optical rifle (or pistol) sights. It is not a direct reference to the material the sights are made of. Who uses iron in a firearm these days, anyway?
All steel is iron, but (obviously) all iron is not steel. Now it can be plastic.

I love mine too. I also have a pair of DD’s that are equally as good.
Call me retarded, but I wont purchase or use anything Troy because of the fact they hired the HRT killer. Not a fan of government baiting someone to do something then to kill their spouse, dog, anyone-just because a short barreled shotgun is the tool of the devil. Rant off. Troy does have cool stuff, just not for me.

A lot of the metal sights are aluminum, so they are not “Iron Sights” either. I will check these out in person and may buy them if they seem functional and sturdy. I have a lot of Magpul stuff and have not been disappointed yet.
Agreed, Magpul has been reliable in my experience. I have taken their original MBUS on combat deployments, training and competitions, never had an issue with any of them.
I will give these a try as well.

I’ze prefer yer Marsupial Milradians. Yer Minute of Thumb provided larger groups. May have confused anatomy that looked like a thumb resulting in higher reproduction rates. Maybe should have stuck with hand loading. Anywho, the Marsupial Milradians work better with my front focal plane behind my bifocal spectacles.

I fail to see the issue here. Backup sights in case your optic goes down. Seems like a nice way to get some sub $100 sights that are light and relatively strong. Don’t do upside down rifle pushups with them open. Problem solved.
