No doubt Ladd Everitt will consider this post an honor. The communications director of the Campaign to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) has positioned himself and his org as as the de facto champion of anti-gun extremists. This he’s done through the CSGV Facebook page, where Everitt’s endless stream of incendiary posts unleash a flood of anti-ballistic bile; comments so full of hatred they remind of nothing so much as the rabid racism that poisoned this country for generations. Which make the example above all the more ironic . . .
Clearly, Everitt is inviting his 100k+ followers to regard participants at a Washington anti-background check rally as racists. Rednecks. Morons. Judging them on nothing more than their skin color and general appearance. It’s a call they answered in droves.
“Diverse indeed!” Luis Montes agrees. “Different shades (& shapes) of white.” “Bunch of angry trigger happy white men!” Michael Bethea writes. Marie Sanders puts it this way: “That crowd is whiter than Nicole Kidman’s ass.” Walt Lipke is also not impressed: “It is the anti-government, insurrectionist crowd ….who, by all appearances, are also white supremacists.”
William Ward reckons the crowd “Looks like the 3 B’s: bullets, bibles, and bigots.” Debra Stuart knows the drill: “Interesting how they all have a certain look. Whether it be Washington State or the Deep South…they all look the same. They need to take a bath and brush their teeth.” Chuck Bruffey is amused “White Trash makes me laugh!”
Ad hominem much? All. The. Time.
“I guess they wouldn’t pass a background check,” Sally Heltzel Pearsall opines, earning 123 thumbs-up in three hours. “Or an IQ test,” Samantha Hilton adds, racking-up 23 thumbs-up in the same time period. “All those open mouths, and not a tooth in the lot of them,” Traci Fagan asserts, scoring 43 admirers. “They all look inbred,” adds Penny Will White.
As the publisher of a firearms-related website and Facebook page, I appreciate the fact that cherry-picking comments to misrepresent and besmirch a website’s/page’s rep is Agitprop 011. This is not the case here. The outpouring of intolerance and animosity above is fully representative of the kind of comments made both in this post and dozens of others.
Again, it’s critical to note that Everitt attracts a steady stream of vicious anti-gun hatred by design. He does nothing to discourage naked animus and everything to encourage it. To that end , Everitt and/or his minions delete anything remotely resembling coherent counterpoint.
What’s more, Ladd feels free to join in with personal attacks on gun rights advocates: “These guys wouldn’t last a day in a real militia (i.e., National Guard),” he asserts. Simply put, Everitt and his followers have nothing but anger and hatred for anyone who owns a gun.
Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is a larger anti-gun group that gets all the media attention. Their Facebook page deploys a more genteel version of Everitt’s tactics. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of anti-ballistic billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety, MDA has virtually unlimited financial backing. On the face of it, the Moms are the more dangerous threat to Americans’ gun rights.
But the Moms aren’t the Brown Shirts of the anti-gun movement. That “distinction” belongs to Everitt and his followers. No anti-gun position is too extreme for the CSGV. I reckon a significant percentage of his maniacal minions are prepared to do anything to further the cause of civilian disarmament. And I’m not talking about voting. Seriously. Anyone who thinks a hate group – any hate group – happily restricts itself to non-violent action isn’t a student of history.
Clever man that he is, Ladd and his anti-firearms faithful will say that my claim proves – again – that American gun owners are dumb, white, racist, misogynist, paranoid men spoiling for a fight. Exactly the sort of people who shouldn’t have guns. To which I would reply that people without basic human decency are, indeed, people to fear. No matter whose side they’re on.

Washington is 71% Non-Hispanic White 10% Hispanic, 7% Asian, 4.7% 2 or more races, 5% Other, 3.6% Black/African American. Assuming no cultural differences on average we’d expect to see about 4 people in 100 that are clearly of a darker skin. Given the small and grainy photo and the small sample size of clearly visible faces this claim has no merit.
It’s about like snapping a photo at a Snoop Dog concert in Detroit (83% Black/African American) or Birmingham (73% Black/African American) then claiming it to be a racist gathering an account of the lack of pale faces.
I believe diversity was an old, old wooden ship.
I never cease to be amazed at the arrogance of these pseudo-sophisticates. somehow they always see themselves as more educated, intelligent and even attractive than we are. Sad when you have to build up your self image by tearing down others.

They complain about people not being in a militia, then when they get a hold of some photos or news about some militia doing training exercises or what not, they all get into a frenzy saying how the people in the militia are a bunch of crazy red neck insurrectionists. That’s right, Insurrectionists. It’s the new go to word for certain people and groups like CSGV instead of domestic terrorists. It’s like watching a real bad comedy that just never ends.

Arrogance is a major annoyance to me. I used to work with a guy who was an absolute ass. Cocky, arrogant, you name it, that was him. Everything was about how great he was and how everyone else just were just haters because they were losers. One day he felt he got cheated out of a promotion that went to someone else and went to rip the boss a new one, because in his eyes he was “clearly better than everyone else they had considered”. The boss told him he was an arrogant ass and ripped him an even bigger one. His ego bruised, the guy did nothing but complain the rest of the day. I was like Doc Hudson in CARS when listening to Lightning McQueen complaining: “Music, sweet sweet music.”
Funny how gun grabbers always contradict themselves. “We want to take away everyone’s guns because there’s too much violence…..” and then say “0% chance your wife and daughter will be raped……” Well make up your mind already, cause there’s nothing worse than debating something with idiots.

I wonder if sub-humans like Ladd will ever grasp the irony that many people own guns because people like him exist. We own guns because violent, irrational bigots who wish to take our lives and freedom exist in this world. People like him. Every time an anti-rights group like his opens their mouths, I’m reminded of why it’s so important for free men to be armed.
Take a look, people, and look hard. Ladd and his group are the true enemies of America and civilization. They are true evil. They are the reason the Second Amendment was created, for protection against an ideology like theirs.
That said, Ladd’s cultish followers are so bigoted because they’re scared. Free, independent people frighten them because they represent a plane of humanity that they themselves have not achieved. These lemmings are insecure, needy cowards who are intimidated by people more confident and secure than themselves. They hate because they envy.
So, free people, take their hatred with pride. It’s just as good to be despised by the despicable than admired by the admirable.
I also have to laugh that they assume we care what they think. Why would I care what a leftist thinks? I don’t care what a cat, mouse, or cockroach thinks, why would I care what a person with equal intelligence and value to a cockroach thinks?
