The point of gay marriage is the obtaining of benefits extended to housewife/mothers raising their children. The extension to wives not raising children was dubious from the start. To extend the benefits to same-sex couples is absurd. Social Security and military pension benefits, gift-tax benefits, converting an employer’s untaxed health benefits into a double-play, the list goes on. The abuses of the public fisc began with heterosexual married couples. Gays just want in on the enormous freebies. Going from boyfriend to “wife” has many tax-payer-funded benefits. If those were not involved, I’d say “go ahead, play dress up, commit yourselves for life or until the sex turns boring.
I like how you smear all liberals as anti-gun. I am a staunch liberal, yet own many, many guns, and am pro 2A as well. You all (who paint us with a broad brush) are taken in by the con artists known as Republicans. They get you to vote for them, against your own economic well-being, by using God, guns, and gays. Also, why is it that taking a position regarding god, gays, and guns that differs from the liberal positions on those subjects is somehow invalid? Liberals’ votes are also influenced by those issues. I could just as easily accuse you of the same thing. Of course I wouldn’t, since, as a right winger, I have actual arguments to make in support of my positions and no need to resort to goofy sloganeering.
