From an email from J&G Sales:

As state and local jurisdictions are increasingly passing laws which infringe upon the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, J&G Sales is implementing a new policy on shipping restricted items to these states and localities . . .

Effective immediately, laws that restrict firearms, ammunition, or magazine possession by law abiding citizens will also be applied to state and local law enforcement and government agencies in that jurisdiction. All residents will be treated equally. Honorable citizens, law enforcement personnel, and government agents, should all be allowed to utilize the most effective defensive equipment available.

J&G believes that there should not be a difference between the rights of citizens and those of government employees. This new policy will also help us to be sure we avoid the consequences of not conforming with the anti-firearm regulations in these various jurisdictions.

We expect to lose some revenue from government purchases, however we feel it is essential to defend the US Constitution by making a statement about the importance of the Second Amendment in maintaining our freedoms.

We await the day when all law abiding citizens will be able to possess the most effective means and tools available for self-defense regardless of where they live or for whom they work.

Thank you

    • I was about to start building an AR 10 until armalite came out with that crap. Pfft. Oh well, I suppose in the current demand climate it’s better to want the guns I have.

  1. This is great. We need the big guys, but if enough of the smaller ones get with the program than the big ones will follow, we hope.

  2. Good point they make. How are government workers considered better than those who pay their salaries? These super citizens are not superior to the rest of us, and in some cases turn out to be far worse than the bad guys they are arresting.

  3. If there’s one thing Fast and Furious demonstrated, J&G is the “honey badger” of not giving a #!@$# about the Government leaning on them.

  4. Looks like this is becoming a differentiators between winners and losers in this market. You loyalty J&G will not be forgotten.

  5. I’ve been dealing with J&G for a long time and think they’re great. Great products, great prices and great service. Now, I think they’re even greater.

  6. I just got their email a little while back and sent it far and wide. I’m definitely going to have to buy something from them now and try to drum up even more business for them. We have to support these folks who take a stand against gov’t thuggery!

  7. I going on their site right now and I’m going to buy something that I might not really need, but I’m going to support them because they did the right thing.

  8. I’m glad to see that this movement is gaining traction among some distributors and manufacturers. However, Armalite released an insulting and non-apologetic statement telling the public that they will sell their products to whomever they please (see earlier TTAG post). If larger domestic producers are not on board, how can the foreign companies (such as Beretta, Glock, SigSauer, H&K, and FN)- who may or may not really care about the 2nd Amendment – be compelled to support the American citizen/consumer? This could be significant since Glock has a huge share of the law enforcement market.

    • Of course, it’s a free country. They can sell to whomever they please (within the boundaries of the law) and we can chose to not buy from them. Pretty simple, though they probably underestimate the damage they are doing to their company. You see, local government agencies have little collective memory (and will drop Armalite for any reason, mainly budget). Not so with the public; we remember, by and large. Bill Ruger, anyone?!

  9. Very cool with me. However, I live in Kalifornia and I’ve had a Sig 516 on order for nearly 6 months. I’m concerned that they might, er, “boycott” my purchase before its ever filled. But I guess even that would be better than another Rifles-That-Look-Especially-Dangerous Ban by the feds.

  10. Note to self: before taking up burglary, notify friends and family to speak to neither police nor media upon my demise. (Especially with statements like, “yeah, that sounds like something my kid would do.”)

  11. I’ve always been happy with the service from J&G and I would recommend them to anyone here who’s not used them.

Even when the ammo crisis was ramping up and I ordered the last case of the 7.62 ammo they took the time to contact me about a credit card issue and let me correct it over the phone to insure my order went out. A lot of other places would have cancelled the order and let the next guy get it.

    Thank you J&G!

  12. Bunch of feel good BS. This is how Obama and his ilk get elected. Stop spending energy on distractions. Stop voting for Progressives.

  13. Why hasn’t there been an article on Exile Machine joining this movement?

I discovered them because they joined this movement, and they are awesome! Hands down best thing about them, if you live in CA you can still buy magazines more than 10 rounds from them, and have them shipped to a CA address. They exploit a loophole that allows them to ship the magazine fully disassembled as a “magazine repair kit”. They are definitely getting my business, as soon as their magazines are back in stock!

  14. I’ve only ever bought ammo cans from them, cus they have buku cans, but will now be visiting them more often checking prices.
