James Yeager is at it again. The controversial gun guru is making waves with a new video. This time he’s responding to the so-called “war on the police” by urging “his brothers in blue” to stay home on September 11, the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. “They will be begging to have you back on the 12th,” he proclaims. This may not be the dumbest thing Mr. Yeager has ever said, but it’s certainly amongst his most deranged recommendations. Not only is it a form of petulant psychological extortion, it’s also bound to . . .

create an anti-police backlash of epic proportions. You know; if the cops actually followed his instructions. Which they won’t. Because they’re not stupid or callous enough to leave Americans defenseless against terrorists. Well, partially defenseless, given that we, non-LEO Americans, are the first responders to any sort of violence against the public.

Anyway, I understand the outrage members of the law enforcement community feel at what they perceive to be an ungrateful public. But this response wold do nothing to endear them to the people who pay their salaries. And everything to alienate them further.

  1. Yeager is in business to make money. The whole point to many of his rants is to get attention and in that they succeed, that success translates to essentially free advertisement and therefor more business. Bottom line is he does this because it works for him!

  2. From Mr. Yeager’s video above (at the 23 second mark)

It seems as if, parts of the country have declared war on the police.

Wrong. The police have declared war on We the People. Don’t believe me? Go stand on a busy street corner in some city in Illinois. Hold up a nice big sign with a message about Free Speech. Make sure you are smiling, waving to people, and holding a young child’s hand. Oh, and make sure you have a rifle or shotgun on your back (slung over your shoulder).

If you manage to survive that ordeal, tell me again that the police did not declare war on the people.

Note: in case it isn’t obvious, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever why any police officer should arrest the person with the long gun in my hypothetical scenario. The person is obviously — AND PEACEFULLY — exercising their First and Second Amendment rights. They are obviously not a threat to anyone. (No spree killer has ever held up a sign and brought the child along for the ride.) As such, police should leave them alone.

    • Sales representatives and cashiers have declared war on We The People. Don’t believe me, go to the XYZ store (that one with the anti-gun signs on the front) with a rifle slung over your shoulder and see what happens, then tell me again that sales representatives and cashiers haven’t declared war on us. Jeez. If you are painting all police with the Illinois police paintbrush, you really don’t get it.

      • Bob102,

Okay, so only the police in Illinois, Hawaii, California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island have declared war on We the People. Thus the police are only at war with 98.84 million people — that’s 31% — of the United States of America. That is sooooo much better than being at war with all 319 million of us. Or not.

98.84 million people in these states:
        Illinois = 11.88 million
        Hawaii = 1.42 million
        California = 38.8 million
        New York = 19.75 million
        New Jersey = 8.94 million
        Maryland = 5.98 million
        Washington D.C. = 0.66 million
        Massachusetts = 6.75 million
        Connecticut = 3.60 million
        Rhode Island = 1.06 million

    • “Oh, and make sure you have a rifle or shotgun on your back (slung over your shoulder).”

Attention magnet. A not needed one. People of all walks of life will respond including the cops. There is no need for this but that is my opinion.

      • Larry,

You obviously don’t get it. We have police to capture criminals — you know, miscreants who actually harm someone? No harm, no crime, and the police should NOT be involved.

A person who is “unusual” — I don’t know, like, someone holding a sign with a rifle over their shoulder — has not harmed anyone. Could they harm someone? Sure. And so could an obese person who weighs 400 pounds, as could a body builder. Should we call the police every time we see an obese person or a body builder? Of course not. Neither should we call the police when a person is smiling, waving, holding a sign, holding a child’s hand, and holding a rifle over their shoulder on a sling. And if someone calls the police about an obese person, a body builder, or a person with a rifle slung over their shoulder who have not harmed anyone, the police should NOT respond.

Our nation is not founded on the principle of arresting and imprisoning people who we despise for being “different”. Whether “we” means the ruling class or 50% +1 of the population doesn’t matter.

    • “…and make sure you have a rifle or shotgun on your back” Or a ‘God Bless All Police’ sticker?

When I lived in IL, often received mail solicitations from a law enforcement booster group that promised scholarships and financial aid for the families of fallen law enforcement. Donors would get a bumper sticker with a distinctive star logo. The implication was fewer traffic citations. Seemed to resonate as I saw a fair number on roads.

They were later outed as contributing almost nothing to widows and orphans. Are fraudsters like this still around?

BTW, CA has a similar state-sponsored one. EMTs & firefighters can get a distinctive permanent license plate for an additional fee.

  3. I fully support the action Mr. Yeager suggests, a national day off for the police. We could call it “National Canine Safety Day”.

    • Or just call it “liberty at last”. Just think about not getting pulled over for “suspiciously” driving while obeying all laws. What about not being asked “where are you headed tonight” and of course let us not forget “show me your papers” oh sorry I meant license and registration…

  4. More guns = less crime.

Therefore it is the armed citizen providing the actual public benefit to a safe society not the police. In fact it is the armed citizen who makes life easier and safer for the police not vice versa.

  5. Didn’t the NYPD have a faux strike after they chocked a guy to death for selling loosies?
As I recall, nothing changed whatsoever for the people. No mass lawlessness. No rioting. No extra blood in the street. Then it just quietly went away once they realized if they kept it on too long folks might catch on.

Let the cops stay home. Maybe they can all go to Yeagers for a jackass picnic and cookout.

    • Dunno about NY, but I know Baltimore got worse with crime when the Cops backed off after the rioting.

Then again, in Baltimore, the cops are the least of your worries.

      • Didn’t you watch The Wire? Baltimore crime stats are just meaningless numbers to be manipulated by the police and the political class to further their agenda.

    • @Shire-man, the cops in NYC staged a “slowdown.” There was NO change in the crime rate, but writing fewer tickets cost the City $5 million in, ahem, “revenue.”

Unwittingly, the NYC cops showed their true value. They are revenue collectors. And I’m saying so despite my personal belief that the NYPD is the best big-city police force in the US (which might be damning the NYPD with faint praise).

      • writing fewer tickets cost the City $5 million in, ahem, “revenue.”

And remember, NYPD command ordered the cops to generate revenue. They had a specific quota of citations and arrests they had to make per month. When a few complained, they were told their quota would increase until the complaining stopped or they quit the force. This was all recorded on tape. Cops said they were making bogus and trumped up charges against people just to meet their quotas.

Not sure how that makes NYPD one of the best big-city PDs as was stated in one comment here.

        • Such arrangements are not uncommon elsewhere, unfortunately.

I mean, you even get small towns that deliberately set up convoluted road signs, pointless speed limit changes etc; and even worse, muck with yellow light timing on traffic lights; all to increase the number of fines that go into the municipal budget, because it’s the single biggest source of income.

    • Good analogy. The only difference is that Jones is actually right about five percent of the time. Yeager’s just 100% idiot, all day, every day.

      • Then it should be easy for you to point out one wrong thing he said.

You would think POTG would applaud this hypothetical “blue flu”.
Hey antis! Who you going to call now when you need protection? Too bad you don’t take responsibility for your own safety.

        • One wrong thing? How about “they will be begging to have you back on the 12th”? If he thinks anything positive in citizen-police relations would come from this kind of petulant, childish behavior, he’s wrong.

        • That’s a hypothesis.
You can’t prove him wrong because it will never happen.
You had one job and you failed. If Yeager is wrong 100% of the time then find a fact or STFU.

        • Chill out, man. You think he’s great; I think he’s a loudmouth idiot who says dumb shit just to get attention. Neither of us is going to convince the other that our assessment is wrong, so why get so heated up about it? Is he your brother-in-law or something?

        • I didn’t give two shits about Yeager until I saw all the internet warriors hating on him. All of it is pure bullshit hate. I actually like the way he responds to haters. He is entertaining to me, right or wrong.
About the only thing he teaches, for free by the way, that I disagree with is how to unload a pistol. He says to lock the slide first then remove the magazine. I always drop the mag first then rack the slide. His reason, which is reasonable, is that too many people forget the round in the chamber. I disagree but I don’t need to call him a fu**Ing idiot.

        • I think people call Yeager an idiot for many reasons. Let’s see…

          a) he threatened to kill anyone who called him a coward
          b) he publicly stated that he’d start killing people if Obama issued a civilian disarmament EO
          c) his training is questionable (by nationally known instructors and other people in the gun community)
          d) he lied about possessing a TN Department Of Safety Certified Firearms Instructor certificate
          e) he is the first to ridicule others, even for perfectly reasonable opinions
          f) his police “career” was short-lived for cause
          g) he brags about the size of his penis
          h) his mama dresses him funny

I’m sure many here could add to the list of reasons to ignore Yeager.

        • I could dispute every one of your points. Why bother. You could dispute them yourself if you weren’t so biased against a patriot. Keep Calm and Carry On with your FUDD lifestyle.

        • I could dispute every one of your points.

Not successfully you couldn’t. And Fudd? LMFAO

(By the way, it’s not an acronym).

        • Fine, you say that you’re interested in the truth and you don’t think you found it in my post. That there is no proof of anything I had written. What’s your proof I am a Fudd? What even gives you that impression?

And I never called Yeager’s patriotism into question. I do think he’s a huge tool, though.

        • I think Donald Trump is a huge tool too but that doesn’t mean he is wrong.
Since you are playing nice I will indulge you (even though my wife is telling me to get off the computer and help pack for our trip to Costa Rica in the morning). That is why I did not want to debate you. But here you go:

“a) he threatened to kill anyone who called him a coward”
Truth: He threatened ONE ass hat that was relentlessly berating him. He knew the pussy wouldn’t accept the challenge. Put up or shut up. There used to be real men in this world that defended their honor.

“b) he publicly stated that he’d start killing people if Obama issued a civilian disarmament EO”
Truth: His “Line in the sand” video was awesome. He didn’t mean he would randomly murder people. He clearly stated that if the Government tried to confiscate weapons from the citizens, that would start a civil war and he would gladly fire the first shot. The end of the video when he said “I’m going to start killing people”, he was referring to the central theme of the video which was how a civil war would start. In a war, killing is justified. I was upset that he later apologized for his statements.

“c) his training is questionable (by nationally known instructors and other people in the gun community)”
Truth: He constantly refers his viewers and students to other instructors. He mentions several of his mentors such as John Farnam.

“d) he lied about possessing a TN Department Of Safety Certified Firearms Instructor certificate”
Truth: I’ll give you that one because I have never heard Yeager address this and I don’t have time to research it.

“e) he is the first to ridicule others, even for perfectly reasonable opinions”
Truth: What’s your point? I like his convictions. He is honest, brutal, but honest. Man up and don’t be so butt hurt.

“f) his police “career” was short-lived for cause”
Truth: Cause he was our kind of cop. He didn’t get along with the bureaucrats. There were no public complaints in his file. His issues were from within the department.

“g) he brags about the size of his penis”
Truth: His penis is enormous. Ask Grindstone.

“h) his mama dresses him funny”
Truth: He could go up a size in T-shirts.

“i) he’s publicly advocated breaking laws that would land gun-owners in jail for misdemeanors or even felonies in some jurisdictions”
Truth: He told teachers to carry in school. I carry my gun everywhere on the free side of a metal detector. You have a choice. Be a subject or be a free man.

        • Alright, I will give Yeager props for one thing: his belief that the statement “the most important thing is that a cop goes home at the end of his shift” is bullscat. That’s not the most important thing.

        • Let’s add to the list.

          i) he’s publicly advocated breaking laws that would land gun-owners in jail for misdemeanors or even felonies in some jurisdictions

        • You mean like Samuel Adams did?

You probably won’t understand my previous post, so I’ll elaborate. Sam Adams helped draw up the Riot Act that allowed the federal government to call up the militia to execute the laws and suppress insurrections. Sam Adams drew up a resolution suspending habeas corpus in order to permit the federal government to keep people in jail without trial. Sam Adams said that rebellion in a “republic,” like the United States, should be punished by execution.

So you think Yeager is like Sam Adams?

        • Moving the target, eh Mike? 🙂 You sure you’re not a leftist? 🙂 🙂

Seriously though, Sam Adams didn’t change or turn wacko, he drew a sharp distinction between a monarchy under a king and an elected representative government. It’s frightening what power he wanted the federal government to have, though.

And I am about as far away from a Fudd as I could be and not be in prison. Or at least I’m in the neighborhood.

        • Thanks for your posts. They often cause me to read further on topics you raise and learn from the material.

Some, like James Yeager, seem better suited for subjects I ignore – like the Kardashians.

        • DG: “g) he brags about the size of his penis”

M_GA: “I could dispute every one of your points.”

I know several that often conduct that type of research too.

TTAG commenters are certainly an eclectic and erudite bunch. Where else in a single thread can one learn from those that study Samuel Adams and those that study James Yeager’s penis?

  6. This is very much a two way street. The police need to stop thinking they are above the law (and actually need to stop being largely above the law) because they’re police officers, and the populous needs to stop automatically assuming any one shot by the police is an innocent choir participant.

    • A faction of Second Amendment supporters are allied with BLM when it comes to the police. Most of the infantile comments here reflect that. I would trust the worst cop with my safety more than them.

As California is discovering at the moment when you stop worrying about “crimes that hurt no one” you get more crime.

Oh and Ronald McDonald had more to do with Eric Garners death than did the police. He could have dropped dead in the police car if he had come quietly.

  7. HuffPo: If The NYPD Is On Strike, Maybe They Should Stay That Way
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/simon-mccormack/if-the-nypd-is-on-strike-maybe-they-should-stay-that-way_b_6404916.html

The Atlantic: New York cops “virtual work stoppage”…a good thing for New Yorkers.
    http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2014/12/the-benefits-of-fewer-nypd-arrests/384126/

    Because…

NYPD brass: “Our primary job is not to help anybody, our primary job is not to assist anybody, our primary job is to get those [arrest] numbers,” and if you complain, “Next week, 25 and 1, 35 and 1, and until you decide to quit this job to go to work at a Pizza Hut, this is what you’re going to be doing till then.” The quotas force officers to arrest and fine individuals on trumped up charges.
    http://gothamist.com/2010/03/03/cop_claims_nypd_quota_is_20_summons.php

So maybe not a bad thing?

    • Stopping police work and stopping BS police work are two different things. I think people’s attitudes toward cops would change dramatically if they stopped giving out chicken sh!t tickets and focused on real crime. Especially in big cities with serious problems, where jaywalking is the least of their worries. Oh, and they should stop taking their a-hole pills every morning. As a law-abiding, tax-paying citizen, I don’t want nor should I be afraid of the cops. But I am, and that’s how they like it.

      • I personally don’t care about tickets, I am more concerned with the endemic lying and corruption in policing today. But some people care. One whistle-blower cop says that for good policing he needs the trust of the community, but he says that you lose that when you start harassing innocent people because you have to come up with your quotas each month or be punished.

  8. I’m really starting to be embarrassed to admit I’ve trained at Tac Response. At least it was Reid and Jay teaching the class…

  9. Non LEOs are ungrateful to LEOs for enforcing “Laws” against offenses that harm no one except those in control. Once LEOs help the public, the way the public relation campaign touts, then LEOs and non LEOs can work together to protect us all from REAL criminals.

  10. Yeager is a smart businessman who is strengthening his relationship with law enforcement with this video. Cops will never do this, but they will respect a man who is a strong advocate for law enforcement. Yeager will get the good press he needs, and the bad press he needs with this move.

    • I could see that, the police have seen a lot of demonizing lately. There is definitely some of it that falls into the fair category, and then there’s some of it that just makes officers pawns in a political game.

      • The officers are not pawns in any sense of the word. They volunteered for the job of being the politician’s attack dogs, and knew full well that they would be enforcing laws that are against opinions and behaviors instead of real crimes.

  11. I understand and sympathize with his sentiments but as someone who was on duty in the Pentagon on 9-11 I am going to tell him that 9-11 is for those who were there just as Pearl Harbor commemorations are for those who were subject to the attack. Find some other day.

    • No disrespect, and thank you for serving, but all Americans were affected by that act of war. I will commemorate that day any way I choose.
The deceased can’t speak. The living must speak lest we forget.

      • My point was that as December 7th is about the attack on Pearl Harbor, September 11the is reserved for commemorating that event. It is disrespectful to piggyback some other cause on it.

        • I believe Yeager’s point was to honor the fallen by suggesting it on that day. Many anti cop commentators on here seem to agree.
What’s worse than associating an event to 9/11 is disassociating an event to 9/11. Benghazi.

  12. yeah he’s not stupid just marketing crazy. i saw the title on youtube and decided it was just pure click bait. if its not specifically about training or firearms or gear i usually dont listen.

  13. I wouldn’t support LE taking the 11th off but I would also not be one of “they” that would be begging for their return on the 12th.

No worries, I have it on good authority that anything that doesn’t praise everything that cops do is infantile. Same authority must love the genius of the somehow far from infantile James Yeager.

  14. Home depot and Lowes would find their front door replacement sales dropping off like flies, and Americans would finally get a day off from police trying to relieve them of their constitutional rights…. I say Bring it!

    • TTAG keeps referring to hims as a ‘guru.’ They keep using that word. I do not think it means what they think it means.

  15. Presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson made the same statement on the O’Reilly show months ago when there were complaints about police brutality and the marches in Ferguson. He suggested that for the protestors, we actually pull the police out of their neighborhood for a night or two.. . . . . . and that they would beg the police to come back thereafter.

I think we should. Not only will it wake people up, but it will also make them realize they are a phone call away so they need to tool up and arm themselves against the criminal element.

    • The vast majority of people will quickly realize just how little they need the police. I doubt it would have the effect you desire. Now, if the garbage man or utility workers strike, that would be a shock that most people would notice.

      • There is a lot of cop bashing on TTAG and it intrigues me . I wish those who are so anti police would simply express their base reason why they feel so strongly about this issue . I have noted what I think are a couple of the problems that I will share .
#1. It appears that a lot of the anger comes from Texas folk . Could the cops in Texas be bigger assholes than in other areas of the country ?
#2. There are lot of Libertarians posting and commentating here and I think there is a natural antipathy against the control that law enforcing brings viewed by Libertarians .
#3. Police are the perceived pawns of gun grabbers when they perform their imposed duties .
#4. Police are known to use overwhelming force to accomplish their imposed duties .
If and when SHTF , we will need the local and state police to be our friends and not our adversaries so may I suggest everyone give them the benefit of the doubt and try being a little more understanding as to the stressful and violent world they enter everyday they button up their blues . We really should reach out more and let them know that after the first line of defense which is on our hips , we expect they will have our backs and be the second line and be prepared to flank what will become obviously our common enemy . Police need armed Americans and we need them .

  16. This is a pissant small state / evil liberal blue house of (D) head bs.

The problem isn’t JY, it’s too many of his followers. It’s all quickly becoming a seething mess as these a-holes try and ‘close-the-net’ on gun control.

Don’t just push back against JY, push back on your stupid neighbors (especially your stupid neighbors needing jobs a/k/a “government”).

  17. They did this in NYC for a few weeks, no one cared. It was unannounced but with the exception of the idiots that would commit crimes standing next to an officer, criminals figured it out within hours. There are only so many hours in a day to commit crime, those that are criminally inclined will use those hours regardless.

Worst case call in the coast guard to cover, 99.9% of the time they are a law enforcement agency that deals with everything from drunk teenagers speeding to international arms, drugs and human traffickers.

    • They did this in NYC for a few weeks, no one cared.

The world did not end, but the City lost $5 million in revenue from fines, so somebody cared. The people, however, probably liked it.

      • Grindstone, if you are referring to the “Runaway” video posted on Youtube, I don’t think that’s a fair assessment. Not knowing where the opponent was, and only seeing what was on that video, his response seemed a tactically sound one to me.
Yaeger’s words and video’s prove he’s a hot head that may not think through what he says, but if that’s the situation you are referring to, it doesn’t paint him as a coward.

  18. I had to quit a certain “regular” FB page from all the yeager worship. I don’t need to see it here. Sure-take the day off…maybe we’ll have a non-harassed/ticketed day….

  19. Nice idea, but that’s accomplishing their goal for them. Martial law would be invoked and the National Guard would be deployed, if we’re luck. If we’re not lucky they will deploy UN troops.

    • I would call it a rhetorical device, but I assume he is genuine. But like I said. He’s mad. I don’t think if he was on duty he’d stay home that day. It’s not the pay or the glory keeping them there.

  20. That sounds nice, actually. My wife could drive around without worrying about being harassed for being brown while driving.

  21. Well, that went as I expected. The 15-20 bottom feeders that need the cops off the street responded. The silent majority, well they’re called that for a reason.

      • You’re the one person I knew would reply to me for sure. Dark Triad of Personality Disorders. Sociopathic Sadist. You of all people want and need the police off the street. You’re the reason so many want guns to protect themselves.

        • >Sociopathic Sadist

Says the guy who murdered Vietnamese villagers for Uncle Sam (officially) and sexual gratification (for himself). No wonder you need a host of delusions and VA medications to continue drawing taxpayer-funded benefits. 🙂

      • Yep, I knew it. Try to teach a pig to dance and it just gets mud on you and riles the pig up. Last thing I’ll say to you, other than you came to me, on this subject.

The only thing keeping a mob of angry parents from putting a gasoline soaked tire around your neck and setting it off is their fear of police and courts. If you get your wish it would be a bad day for you.

But you’re too sick to understand that. 🙂

Keep coming to me and I’ll keep telling people the truth about you. Regardless of the lies you tell about me.

        • >riles the pig up

Says the pig fellater. Oh my.

Note the necklacing fetish. The government murderer misses his murderous past. 🙂

        • For all you hoping the cops take a day off. More dead soldiers is your ally in this effort.

Do you really want to be part of that with him as your poster child for the cause?

        • JWM, you’re using the same exact logic that anti’s use against gun owners. “The Charleston shooter is the ally of gun owners!” Seriously, you’re every bit as irrational and deluded as MDS here.

  22. The thing that people don’t seem willing to admit is that both sides of the pro vs anti police “movements’ are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.

    1) Cops are “racist” because statistically they are more likely to have trouble with non-compliant inner city minorities. Does that make them racist?

    2) Cops dont’ know the law most of the time.

    3) When cops DO know the law, they frequently ignore it.
    a. You can’t record me.
    b. You can’t open carry a gun
    c. Yes you are legally required to show me ID.

    4) Most police are corrupt, in a subtle way;
    a. expect “professional courtesy” from other officers when they break minor laws.
    b. Give out cards and thin blue line documentation so their friends can get the same courtesy.

The bottom line is that what is often called “racist” behavior by police is the product of conditioning. If you have arrested ZERO asians for assault in the same period that you have arrested 5 caucasians, 8 hispanics, and 10 african americans, then you are going to begin to begin subconsciously assessing risk based on skin color.

Humans are programmed to look for patterns in behavior or activity. Its how we survive. This is one of the reasons
that African American police officers who have spent time on the street are just as racist as white officers. Strange but true.

    Don

  23. Yes please, then Americans could have one night of sleeping without having to worry about a gang of thugs smashing down their door at 2am and throwing flash bangs into their child’s crib.

  24. Our nation is overdue for an epidemic of the “Blue Flu” in urban areas, let those that complain regularly about law enforcement’s tactics fend for themselves for an entire weekend.

As for the citizens who complain cops are being used to generate revenue just whose fault is THAT? The answer is it’s theirs, the voters of course, they elected politicians that refuse to curb spending and who don’t want to face the wrath of residents by raising property taxes/permit fees of ALL sorts any higher in order to insure their reelection while at the same time demanding police be the “bad guy” and make up the shortfall issuing “nuisance” summonses.

The “Blue Flu”, catch it while you can and help make a difference.

    • Bootlicker logic:

Forced to make a binary choice between two awful candidates: collective voter responsibility for criminal politicians.

Every individual cop voluntarily and consciously works for those criminal politicians and enforces their orders at gunpoint in return for a taxpayer funded paycheck: don’t blame the cops.

      • Got Skittles? How about some Swisher Sweets? No? Go get some.

How would YOU like to be a cop, alone, on a motor vehicle stop with a car full of suspicious subjects and NO backup in sight because your superiors cut hours? Yeah that’s happened in retaliation for officers refusing to comply with ticket quotas instituted by bureaucrats. How about dialing 911 as a citizen and getting NO response?

If you don’t like the policies of a city/town and their police force which in increasing numbers are being used as revenue agents recall the politicians that are responsible for the madness and mismanagement or file papers and run for office yourself.

BTW I’m in N.J where MOST municipalities figure into the NEXT years budget just how much in motor vehicle fines they need to generate to avoid bankruptcy, Bayonne, a city of just under 70,000 people requires officers to raise $4 million, they even keep the radar units at BOTH ends of town during heavy snowstorms when NO ONE is on the roads hoping to catch just a few drivers. A small town of 20,00 residents near me demands police raise $3 million in fines. The appointed municipal judges are expected to find people “guilty”, part time judges (many who work in multiple jurisdictions) make $350 per session, at four (4) guaranteed sessions a month it’s pretty lucrative, if they don’t find people guilty they don’t get reappointed (this scheme benefits everyone who is part of “the system”). One MUST also take into account the majority of property and school taxes paid by those like me in suburban and rural areas of N.J. DOESN’T go to OUR locales it goes to the inner cities that are rife with corruption and mismanagement.

The lesson is keep your vehicle in good shape, obey the traffic rules and in general DON’T break the law and you’ll be ok. (and I’m NOT a cop but I’ve been nabbed for speeding few times and figured out the system).

        • A job is not a right, and if cops don’t like following orders from politicians they can quit and work in the private, non-murder/non-theft based economy like everyone else.

          >The lesson is keep your vehicle in good shape, obey the traffic rules and in general DON’T break the law and you’ll be ok. (and I’m NOT a cop but I’ve been nabbed for speeding few times and figured out the system).

Just obey orders from the government and their armed goons will leave you alone. Land of the free. 🙂

        • How would YOU like to be a cop, alone, NO backup in sight because your superiors cut hours? Yeah that’s happened in retaliation for officers refusing to comply with ticket quotas…BTW I’m in N.J

You say you’re not a cop. How do you know this? How do you know that LEO command officers retaliate against officers for refusing unlawful quotas? Yeah, quotas were outlawed in NJ in 2000. Quotas are against the law in most states.

        • The lesson is keep your vehicle in good shape, obey the traffic rules and in general DON’T break the law and you’ll be ok. (and I’m NOT a cop but I’ve been nabbed for speeding few times and figured out the system).

Can’t believe someone is so ignorant:
          http://www.policeone.com/officer-misconduct-internal-affairs/articles/7242821-Ga-toddler-hurt-in-SWAT-raid-when-flash-bang-lands-in-crib/

          http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/09/robert-farago/atlanta-cop-shot-in-wrong-house-raid/
          And the list goes on.

        • Sure “quotas” are “illegal” but when has ANY politician obeyed the law? Do “Sanctuary cities” ring a bell? Immigration laws? How about “mandatory sentencing” in the Federal system for drug dealers under Black Panther/Columbia Univ ROTC arsonist/terrorist U.S. Atty Generals Commissar Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch?

What do you think those “Sobriety Checkpoints” (usually on holiday weekends) are for? Newsflash: They generate far more revenue in violations ie.equipment violations, expired inspections, no seatbelt etc. than DWI/DUI summonses.

        • Sure “quotas” are “illegal” but when has ANY politician obeyed the law?

I’m not talking about politicians. I’m talking about rank-and-file LEO command officers. The person who was recorded mandating the officers on his shift adhere to quotas and threatening them if they don’t was a sergeant. Giving them straight numbers they must meet, or else.

        • Or drive black, brown non-OFWG or young. Gotcha’…yeah take the day off boys(and girls) in blue. About all they seem to do in my Chicago ‘burb…

    • You’re almost right. What we need is for police apologists such as yourself to be on the receiving end of the police’s reign of terror. Let your children have flash bangs thrown in the beds while they’re sleeping. Let your children be executed in the front yard for peacefully playing with toys in their own yard. Let your children watch their beloved pets be murdered while the thugs in blue laugh. Maybe if you were being choked to death for no reason, you’d reconsider worshiping the most violent and psychotic members of our society.

  25. I can remember coming home from Vietnam and experiencing this much hate from folks much the same as are expressing their hate for cops right here.

The only difference is I don’t remember very many people standing up for us as there standing up for cops now.

Everybody hates cops until they need one real bad.

Back then it was hate anyone who was in the military, now it’s hate cops.

I am holding back my rage and venom for when hatred for progressive tree hugging Statists erupts nation-wide. There’s a hate campaign I can get behind.

James Yeager has always been a pus filled pimple looking for a butt to set up residence on.

        • >protected a massively corrupt puppet of the US government by murdering villagers, indiscriminately bombing population centers and poisoning the entire country with carcinogens

Yeah that deserves respect all right. 🙂

  26. I hope the police do take a day off. Then hopefully people will learn it is a myth that they can depend on the police. Hopefully they will take their personal safety more seriously. Police are not obligated to help anyone. They can sit and enjoy their coffee and donuts, instead of answering a 911 shots fired call. The police are not the enemy. The people you vote for who pass laws you don’t like are the enemy. You need to look in a mirror and be honest with yourself.

  27. Sorry James but you are wrong. Long ago the cops declared war on the civilians. I can’t count the number of times that I was harassed by cops just because of my ethnic background. Nothing builds confidence in the police when they pull you over, harass you, call you a spic and go through your wallet for beer money. FU James.

  28. If Yeager gets a significant response to his call for a massive Blue-Flu epidemic on 9/11/2015, some localities will explode into chaos while others will barely notice and the rest will fall somewhere in between. Obviously.

Personally, I think Yeager is just making a point by offering this very extreme suggestion and does not expect much to come of it. He’s peeing just beyond the edge of his territory to keep his mark as a radical advocate supporter of Law Enforcement well nourished. I think he knows what will play to his key audience well and doesn’t care what the rest of us think.

If there is a “War on the Police”, it is being fueled by “Black Lives Matter” [“Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon.”] who should be focusing their attention on the staggering homicide and injury rate resulting from Black-on-Black violence. Everyone else, including the TTAG Community, seems content to bitch about and castigate Law Enforcement, but not really do anything else. So, I guess, that amounts to some sort of tacit support for “BLM”, sans overt violence. I won’t have any part of it.

I support Law Enforcement. unapologetically. While I recognize there are problems, I also recognize there is much more good in Law Enforcement than problems, and the plain fact of the matter is our Society could not/would not function without them. None of us is prepared, or capable, of fending for ourselves 24X7X365. We have created a Society under the rule of law, and that Society requires a Law Enforcement System to function. True, the Police have no obligation to protect anyone, and their function when Laws are violated is largely after-the-fact. Without that Law Enforcement after-the-fact function, the rule of law would evaporate into anarchy and chaos for each and every one of us, and thereby Society as a whole.

At the bottom line, the murder of a Police Officer by cowardly ambush (as we have seen happen in the past weeks/months) is not substantially morally different than the murder of any other person during the course of any Citizen/Police encounter. When we start to parse whose murder is justified based on personal and public opinion, we are negating the rule of law, and that will bring harm to each of us one way or another.

  29. Yes, Yeager is a poser, douche, youtube hero to the masses that only daydream about actually serving the Great nation that they live in. He makes a living faking the funk so that video game and video tac porn addicts can feel like men. Mr Yeager, please go choke on youself. And by choke on yourself, I mean swallow your own phalis.

  30. James Yeager can out shoot, out swear, out fight, out drink, and probably out fornicate 99% of the yahoos tossing aspersions around here. Rock on brother James!

  31. In 1975 the Albuquerque PD went on strike. While on strike crime PLUMMETED as citizens
armed themselves. I’d say if LEO want’s to not show up on 9/11 on average crime will
if anything go down as long as the citizenry are aware of this and prepare to do what they must do anyway….defend themselves. Cops don’t stop crime or protect people. They just arrest criminals (if they can find them) and collect revenue for the state.

  32. yes, dear #GovtTerrorists, DO stay the fuck home. the world would be safer for it. but we ain’t paying your fucking pensions and unpaid vacations and automatic “administrative leaves.”

As NYPD monkeys clearly exhibited, the one time they all stayed home? crime rate dropped.

the only reason why their commissar massas won’t let them? no more revenue extortion schemes, preying on poor innocent citizenry.

the quicker the “Armed Intelligentsia” wake up to the CON of ALL ‘govt police,’ the sooner they’ll fully extend and apply the natural right of defense to its full conclusion, vs an organized coercive fascistic gang of thugs funded via stolen tax dollars, backed up by armies of lawyers granting themselves unconstitutional immunity and legal alchemy.

People regularly confuse the function of an individual as well as an armed defense, vs the entity carrying it out. security and investigative concerns, need NOT be in the form of a stolen wealth of citizenry funded con.

those who ask, but who will protect us without the govt? should ask the same of themselves as to why they even bother having guns in the first place, let alone ask the age old question: but then who will pick the cottons, without the slaves??
