Considering the limited number of .454 Casull and .500 Smith & Wesson revolvers produced, am I the only person a little bit spooked by the number of YouTube videos out there which show them exploding?
Is there something that compels shooters to intentionally overload and destroy these very expensive handguns? Or is it simply that the extreme ballistics of such cartridges leaves absolutely no margin for error in the design, manufacture, or metallurgy of the guns that fire them?
Either way, I think a nice factory-loaded. 44 Magnum or a Blachawk-only. 45 Long Colt handload is quite enough handgun cartridge for me. I like my fingers right where they are.
