For reasons that surely have nothing to do with pandering to a male audience, just as this article avoids that charge, timesofisrael.com has published a feature on “not just another gun bunny” firearms model Orin Julie. “I don’t stand around in swimwear,” she told the Times. “I know how to hold guns, how to shoot, how to do combat stuff — and Americans appreciate that.” Not to mention other aspects of her appeal . . .

Two years into her career, Julie, 23, has modeled for a half dozen Israeli and American companies that sell firearms and related products. Last year, she represented Israel’s Gilboa Rifles at the world’s biggest gun show in Las Vegas . . .

Julie’s Instagram account has racked up 145,000 followers, many who gush over photos of her in lipstick and crop tops bearing the latest arms, from petite handguns to massive assault rifles.

And so we move from the commercial to the political.

In general, Israelis pay little attention to the guns Julie poses with. After all, most of them handle weapons in the army and are barred from owning them by their country’s strict laws. The very idea of a weapons model is foreign here; Julie said she is the first . . .

Julie, speaking to JTA soon after a gunman killed 58 people at an outdoor music festival in Las Vegas, declined to speak on the record about her views of gun laws in the United States or modeling for companies that do business in the country.

She said only that she believes in the right to self defense but is saddened whenever she hears of an innocent victim of American gun violence.

“I’m really sorry about what happened in Vegas,” she said. “I hope the government will find a way to take care of it.”

So Ms. Julie believes in the right to self-defense but reckons the government needs to take action to prevent mass shootings. A not surprising dichotomy for a woman who lives in a country beset by enemies both foreign and domestic…with strict gun control for its residents.

    • Was anyone else really shocked that an alien does not understand our nation, culture, rights, and our love of them?

Too hell with this empty headed fool

        • Idaho boy,
As a fellow native of the gem state, your sniveling white knight comment disgraces us all. Your comment is such a sad little suck up to a chick you would never have any chance with. She isn’t impressed by things like that bro.

Sure, the chick is hot, but she doesn’t understand liberty. Furthermore, as a foreigner it isn’t her place to tell Americans how to live.

Besides all that, it is sad to see beautiful women like that defacing their God given bodies with graffiti like tattoos and naval piercings.

          Sad

        • She’s an Israeli. And I’m already married to a different Israeli. And both of them could kick your ass too.

        • Idaho Boy – You really watch to much TV. In the real world, women can’t “kick men’s asses”. You believe in Waif-fu.

Hollywood Feminist SJW propaganda has effectively dumbed you down to insulting people like a kindergartner. Instead of bragging that your dad can beat up my dad, you argue that your wife can beat me up.

The comment about your wife being able to kick my ass gave me a good chuckle.

If it is actually true, then I’m very sorry for you. I am 6’4″, weigh 215, and pump iron regularly.

Your wife must be one hell of a monstrous woman if she can “kick my ass”.

By the way, my wife is from Japan, but that doesn’t make her an “ultra deadly Ninja warrior”.

I am quite confident that my wife Cannot kick your ass, or the asses of 99% of the men in the world.

Having a feminine wife is nice. 😄😄😄

        • If it came to arse kicking my wife wouldn’t waste her time. A triple tap all above the waist or the eyes. She loves purses and good the time she spends with make up.
She is the wife of a decedent of Northmen, and the temperament to match.
In elementary school she punched a boy who threw her hat out the window.
Maybe you don’t want a warrior wife but this is the mother of my children and grandchildren.
          ++++XB=3~<

  1. Smart woman. She avoids making any comments that might endanger her career or put her at odds with the folks back home. A potential politician in the making? Or maybe just a future entrepeneur.

    • A successful entrepreneur with good political ‘people skills’ has a much better shot at future wealth than someone without those skills.

I’ve heard that the *really* good public school teachers, the ones that entertain and hold the student’s rapt attention in class find that those skills transfer well to commission sales jobs that pay far better than the public schools pay…

      • “A successful entrepreneur with good political ‘people skills’ has a much better shot at future wealth than someone without those skills.”

Indeed, auspicious qualities that often make one successful in business can also be benificial in politics. Though, the reverse isn’t necessarily true. The current U.S. President is one such example.

“I’ve heard that the *really* good public school teachers, the ones that entertain and hold the student’s rapt attention in class find that those skills transfer well to commission sales jobs that pay far better than the public schools pay…”

Esoteric Inanity is uncertain that he fully grasps the implications of this statement. However, yes, why waste talent in the public sector, when the private is typically much more profitable.

    • The beauty is a given, the brains part is she’s smart enough to not say anything that might potentially tick off the American customer base; a rare combination observed in her field I think.

      • “The beauty is a given, the brains part is she’s smart enough to not say anything that might potentially tick off the American customer base; a rare combination observed in her field I think.”

Not just that, but she doesn’t pander either and instead appears to take a somewhat neutral stance.

Indeed, such tact is virtually nonexistent in her profession. There are many politicians and talking heads that would do well to take her example.

      • She is a lady in every way. She is good with a rifle but she left her Warrior Belligerence on the battlefield. She never speaks against the USA. She is a gem, and also gorgeous.

    • Next election it’s Bibi Netanyahu or Orin Julie, and you’ve got to listen to the one who is elected, frequently.

On the other hand, the Revolutionary Guard are constantly on the move….

      Tough choices everywhere.

      • “Next election it’s Bibi Netanyahu or Orin Julie, and you’ve got to listen to the one who is elected, frequently.”

Probably the only thing that would offend Israel’s enemies more than Netanyahu’s rhetoric, would be this woman without a burka and veil.

“On the other hand, the Revolutionary Guard are constantly on the move….

        Tough choices everywhere.”

Yes, such bastards as those have a special kind of contempt for women and non-believers. The things that they do to them are reprehensible. At least the Israelis and Kurds will tenaciously fight back.

  2. Well, she is Israeli. Israelis seem quite comfortable leaving important jobs to their government. I believe that there is some room for improvement.

    • There was a gun in that picture?

Seriously though…I thought the same thing, and her left thumb appears to be around the backstrap, where it will likely experience slide bite.

I know how to hold guns…
Just not very well, I guess.

        • I dunno, I don’t even think she’s that hot. Mildly attractive, but she looks the type that will have 37 plastic surgeries by the time she’s 40 because she’s terrified of aging.

      • “There was a gun in that picture?”
I’d add, “There was an article among those pictures? I had no idea!”

    • And the left index finger appears to be riding the slide.
But she knows how to do combat stuff and hold guns and stuff…
      Sigh

    • My experience is that Israeli’s don’t have the same sort of firearm discipline Americans do because they don’t normally carry with a round in the chamber.

Once I when I was out walking in Jerusalem, I saw an Israeli jeep with two soldiers in the back playing tug-of-war with an M16. They were sitting on the sides, each one gripping the front and rear of the rifle, and the muzzle was pointed directly out the back of the jeep, right at me. I watched it travel back and forth in front of my me for a second or two, and then I shouted something to get their attention. They froze for a second, and then lowered the weapon sheepishly, knowing that I had busted them and could get them in serious trouble. I felt sorry for them, and started laughing to lighten the mood. They laughed too, and we all went our separate ways.

  3. The Israeli government, being totally socialist, is very much concerned with its own safety. The government’s, that is. It makes sure that every able-bodied person serves in the Army and is capable and ready for the defense of the country, whenever the government call upon him or her. As to the personal safety of individual citizens, the attitude of the government is completely opposite. A citizen has no inherent right to self-defense. The police or the guards will attempt to protect a citizen if under attack, but usually, as happens everywhere in the world, they will sort out the bodies. However, violent crime in Israel is very rare (not terrorism, but citizen on citizen crime), so the subject is not so acute. Thefts, however, are rampant, in no small part due to the citizens being forbidden to protect themselves and their property with physical force. As in any socialist state, the primacy of the State is paramount; the value of an individual is minuscule.

  4. Well we are talking about a model here, not an expert in policy. Yeah, being from Israel she’ll at least have more of a clue about firearms than the average blue state retard or Facebook keyboard warrior. But at the end of the day, she’s not going to be a expert just because of it.

  5. Once again, I say Israel’s gun laws, Japan’s, Russia’s , Australia ‘s , whoever, has no relevance to MY country’s gun laws. Whatever “they” say who cares and whomever doesn’t like MY country’s Constitution can leave.

  6. Oh Calm down. She didn’t say she supported gun control. Only that hopefully the government could prevent it. Yes, the government COULD do more to prevent it. Like passing National Reciprocity, the HPA/SHUSH, and also, loosening laws on open carry of rifles by the public. I’m all for law enforcement putting snipers up at large gatherings, but, why let the government do that when a more effecient and cheaper private solution is easily at hand.

  7. I never understood Israel’s take on personal gun ownership. If I lived next door to a bunch of genocidal goat rapists, I would never have a rifle out of arm’s reach.

    • The country is the product of 19th century Marxist utopians tempered (or conflated) by a whole bunch of very nasty mid 20th century reality.

        • “Some” is the proper characterization there. The secular folks vastly outnumber the religious, but the religious have a vastly disproportionate share of power. Not a good long term situation.

    • Those in Israel that do live next to genocidal goat rapists do in fact carry their rifles all the time. Those that do not live next to the genocidal goat rapists are not allowed to have personal arms. The State wants to make sure that it (the State) is protected; individuals within the State, not so much.

        • Yes, while on duty (active or reserve), they belong to the State. Their primary duty is to protect the State. Yet a day later, when the same person is out of the uniform, he is not allowed to have a gun to protect himself.

  8. A bit of a reach isn’t it RF?!? I don’t care about her viewpoint on American violence. A gunbunny who can really shoot should be applauded😆

  9. Why are people “so” much more saddened when someone is killed by someone with a firearm as opposed to another weapon. When someone is murdered by someone with a different instrument, it’s as if they say it doesn’t deserve the same amount of attention or lamentation. As long as they weren’t killed by someone with a firearm. Yawn. Please keep talking liberals. You continuously expose yourselves as liars and fools and more people see you for what you really are. God bless the first amendment.

  10. Who gives a F what other subjects think about the best free country in the world where citizens have freedom to live and not having to bow to some dictator!

Americans don’t want to be like Muslim controlled Europe that is why my forefathers left that shat hole and built this MOFO!

F all of them we ain’t changing to satisfy some king!

  11. We are hearing someone in a country of 8.5 million that is about the same size as LA county with 10.5 million in it. Maybe if they would track counties instead of countries, they would not hear about mass shootings. We are talking watermelons to watermelon seeds when these small countries want to compare gun violence. I bet shekels to bagels that they have more gun violence in thier country than LA County has, even with all the gangs here.

  12. “I know how to hold guns, how to shoot, how to do combat stuff”

What does that even mean. What is “combat stuff”? Is that somewhere in the list of “shooting things”?

Well, it’s obvious where her brain mass went. Into her boobs as silicon.

  13. I was under the impression that Israeli citizens could acquire firearms with a background check and then train with them on police ranges. Apparently that’s not quite the case…

Israel dismisses NRA’s claims about guns laws
    https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-dismisses-us-gun-lobbys-inaccurate-claim-about-gun-laws/

But that’s not too surprising since Israel is, frankly, close to being a fascist (not to mention imperialist, colonialist, racist and even terrorist) state – despite being allegedly “the only democracy in the Middle East” – especially if you’re not Jewish by birth (or a rich Russian Jewish oligarch immigrant.)

  14. Gov’t is just you stupid neighbors who needec a job. Who, once the get that job, might do stupid inaapropriate and extra-authority things to keep it. Thus the Second Amendment as catch-all cure for any failures, on their part, to do their jobs well within the confines of their authority.

RECENT EXAMPLE: Less than five years ago ALL of D.C. and all that acted-in, and most that reported-on, American politics DENIED THE VERY EXISTENCE OF WORLDWIDE GLOBALISTS, AND GLOBALISM.
NOW (10-17-17), OUTSHITS G.W. BUSH WITH THE STATEMENT OF “we can’t just wish globalism away” (meaning we’re stuck with it because he and other POS COMMUNIST globalist MFs have worked on it for so long that it’s here to stay). He’s right, too.
WE CAN’T JUST WISH IT AWAY. WE HAVE TO HUNT IT DOWN AND CRUSH IT, AND ALL THOSE VOICING EVEN A MILDLY SUPPORTIVE ATTITUDE OF IT. IT NEEDS TO DIE OF VIOLENT A_ _-RAPE, LIKE ALL THOSE EVEN SOFT ON COMMUNISM.

‘Hope Gov’t can fix it?’ Let the World rest it’s fing stupid head. “We The People” got this.

  15. So far, “government’s” brought us twelve different incongruent versions of what happened (while also claiming the idiot killer even recorded himself). First course of action they suggested [?] going against the rest of us. I’ve only been to Vegas 1x, don’t frequent outdoor events, ain’t a POS (D), take my vitamins. But THEY (the typically special-olympics three-legged-race pace and smoothness legislators) had legislation on the table OVERNIGHT, to limit our RTKABA.

    WELL HOW, FING, BOUT THAT.

Yeah, the fix might be in, but “fixing it” ain’t likely even on the agenda.

  16. Was there supposed to be a point to this post? Because other than the obvious and gratuitous babes-with-guns pointlessness, … I don’t see the point. I mean, you don’t really think any of us care what an Israeli model thinks.

  17. That’s her uniform for what? So can complain about attracting Harvey Weinbergs attention? Nothing says “take me serious” like an unbuttoned shirt and a bellybutton ornament.

  18. You can’t hold her views against her. Just can’t take them seriously. She’s a very young foreign national. She has no idea what real freedom is or what our constitution means. Conversely, there’s far too many people here in the US who are on the wrong side of this issue and who do understand (or are supposed to and/or are required to), and still support anti-American policies.

  19. Israel is very socialist, so I’m not surprised an Israeli fashion model, when faced with a difficult situation, immediately pleads for the government to fix it.

Personal responsibility isn’t necessary when the State provides everything.

  20. I feel like this was just an elaborate way for Robert to have an article be about an Israeli model. Could just be me being cynical, though.

  21. Israel has a different culture than America. There are many background issues that explain these differences: their socialist history, their universal conscription, the fact that the majority of Israelis are of Middle Eastern (and not European/Western) background.

But on this issue you are harping on regarding “Israeli weapons regulations”, there is one main difference between Israel and America that you have to understand. And you would do well to understand it about countries like Denmark and Sweden as well: Israelis have extremely high SOCIAL SOLIDARITY, at least amongst the Jewish Israelis. Denmark, Sweden, and Japan are other examples of countries with exceptionally high Social Solidarity.

High social solidarity implies that Israelis see other Israelis, whether they have ever met them or not, as “being in the same tribe”, “being on the same team working towards common goals”, “having the same values”, “trust them to uphold common interests”, etc. Israelis trust other Israelis more than Americans trust other random Americans.

So when Israelis trust their government with more discretion around who they will provide gun permits to, and when they trust their government to uphold their rights even though they don’t have an armed citizenry, for an Israeli, it is almost like they are trusting their “cousins” in the government to make sure that their interests are maintained. Because even if you’ve never met the person and you have no relation to them, the relationship that you have simply from both being Israelis is almost like the relationship you might have in America with a third cousin or something like that, someone who is bound in their behavior towards you by certain social mores simply because you are in the same “tribe”.

The situation is different in America. We do not have widespread social solidarity. We are relatively polarized.
