is that Mr. Giles is an idiot. Whether or not a gun’s real, flashing a firearm in a vehicle whilst driving in public is an invitation to law enforcement-related disaster– regardless of your skin color or the orientation of your baseball cap. Putting your finger on the trigger is icing on the possibility of being iced. All of which makes Mr. Giles TTAG’s Irresponsible Gun Owner of the Day.
Note: I understand that [most] rap songs are a legitimate form of protest music. When rap artists flash gats in videos…sure, why not? But rappers — like all gun-owning Americans — should take responsibility for safe gun handling in real life. Did I just write that? I suppose I did.

Not to be a contrarian here, and the production quality would suggest otherwise, but how do we know that this video wasn’t pre-approved and permitted through all the proper channels?
I’m not saying it was. I’m just pointing out that entertainment folks often do things that would be outrageous were they not pre-approved and permitted. For example South Figueroa Street, downtown LA probably isn’t the best place to have a massive fake shootout unless the proper authorities have been informed. Gun porn to follow…

These videos are fantasies, just as many of Hollywood movies(and other country’s as well) are. This is his fantasy getting over on some type of person he doesn’t like. Asking for responsable gun use by these people won’t fly, because the audiance wants blood and tough guys. Tough guys do the deed rather than trying to find another way.
