I love it when all the libs come on here trying to paint a rosey picture here. They then compare other “states” that have “freer”(as if there is such a thing az too free for law abiding citizens) & ccp holders yet state no facts as to the number of those crimes commited by ccp holders… or how many were commited by prior felons instead… Any wonder why? Because those stats would not support their false theories.
Go pawn it on unknowledgable free thinkers! We will not be deceived!
In Chicago about 80% of all gun murders are committed by black males, nationally it’s about 65%. You tell me what’s up?
Because when it comes to inconvenient facts, America is a truth-free zone.
Butthurt, however, is all you can eat.
In the county in which I live, there is an ordinance which stipulates that land value may only be appraised in terms of how that land is currently being used.
To someone from elsewhere, this might seem a useless example of gubmint messing with the People, but it is not. Consider:
No builder, developer, venture capitalist or trans-national mega-corporation can grease a county assessor and get a small farm appraised at its value as an office park or “house farm,” which is a common technique (practiced elsewhere) by which to force someone to sell.
Most of the laws ’round here are similarly “citizen-friendly,” ruining only the plans of people who practice being bad neighbors.
It’s hard to imagine this place going anti-BOR. Our Democrats are about taking care of the little guy by lending a hand but not giving hand-outs, and our Republicans are about (not big) government of, by and for the people.
Gods, may it be always so.
Robert A. Heinlein, regarding civilian disarmament:
“That a free citizen should have to go before a committee, hat in hand, and pray for permission to bear arms – fantastic! Arm your daughter, sir, and pay no attention to petty bureaucrats.” – Red Planet
400?!?! Come on Rhode Island! We had 5000+ show up in Maryland! And we’re bluer than ya’ll. We shut the down the statehouse! Still we got an AWB, but we beat registration.
Yeah I completely agree. For example Guns & Ammo magazine gave the Saiga 12 a positive review and I’m pretty sure they know a lot more about weapons than the retards posting comments on this site. A lot of the brain dead comments on here are comical though.
Y’know, that’s a small state house in a small state and they’ve 400 there – very few of ’em kids, most likely.
It only adds to the dark comedy of Schumer’s fiasco in N.Y. a couple weeks ago.
The opponents of the backbone of the BOR are certainly doofi.
The article in the Times quotes Senator Leno, who uses the term “common sense.” Anytime a politician uses that term, liberty is about to be infringed. “Common sense”, “for the children”, “if we can save but one life” etc etc etc ad nauseum. Code words to elicit emotion but prevent critical thinking.
The Senator is quoted as saying “…which takes the money from fees paid when people buy guns…” $24M is a lot of fees.
This really amounts to a way to raise the cost of ownership to make it more painful to own a gun. It is de facto gun confiscation except that there won’t be that troublesome period of gun ownership!
Was this one of their openly homosexual representatives? If so I automaticaly give no credability to any of his discussions or thought due to the fact his very thought process is “mentaly ill” & containing un-reasonable thought rationale.
Not a hater, just a hater of Sin & it’s progressive dillusional pathways.
30,000 more shot-dead Americans since your article was posted. Of course, it’s only been a year.
I love my SIG P938!!! It’s a great conceal weapon, I believe it will fit perfectly in any type of body with a great holster, you can even carry it in a “not to small” evening purse, less bulky and lighter in weight than my Glock26. My hands are small, but for a firmer grip I use a 7-round mag with extended floor plate. I concur with Jim that you need to get plenty of range time in order to develop muscle memory necessary to properly grip and fire this gun, I’m doing it, because my shots tends to pull to the right (I’m a leftie).
Chris Frandsen is a West Point grad, who earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star in Vietnam…………” where we have soldiers who have PTSD,…………….. we have to restrict weapons that make them more efficient in terrorizing the population.”
The guy is a war vet, many of whom have PTSD-Irony here? Question is-how would he feel if he wanted this, then was told that he being a war vet would be reason enough to forbid HIM from getting it?
Rhode Island is certainly the most corrupt state in the Union, even more corrupt than Louisiana under Huey Long. The General Assembly is an insane asylum. The Governor is a former farrier who has intelligence approaching that of an average second grader. Elections for public office are more like elections for union shop stewards. Many of Rhode Island’s people are miraculously self-absorbed, insular, suspicious and unfriendly. Kennedy worship is the state’s dominant religion. And when it comes to laws, if it’s stupid, you can count on L’il Rhody to jump aboard.
The USMC removed quick clot from their first aid kits several years ago. I don’t know exactly why, but I think they were sing used Inappropriately and did more harm than good.
HEY NICK! 30 years as a EMT and (mostly) ER Trauma Nurse. Really, really, like your ideas about first aid kits. Best I’ve seen. Just one thing, tourniquets? Really? Glamorous, rarely needed with correct first aid. If you must apply one on a limb (arms and legs, never on the neck unless pt is a gun grabber) note the time. All should take a Red Cross first aid course. For a few dollars you can save a life. It’s a great feeling!
With the proper knowledge there’s little that can’t be done with a triangle bandage. I would add a pencil and paper. Get what history you can, name, time of injury, current medical problems, medication allergies, drugs they take. Phone number for family. If patient becomes unable to talk this will be invaluable.
