I’m not sure who they’re playing for, but I hope it’s our side. Wait. We have a side, right?

  1. Meanwhile American children are being expelled from school for making a gun with their finger.

How are they going to grow up and be able to fight these other kids?

    • Our kids are getting all the X-Box drone simulator training they need. Hey, I hear you can rate an award higher than a bronze star by flying a drone…

        • They are coming out with the “Distinguished Warfare” medal for the UAV drivers… and yes it does rank above a Bronze Star…

How else could you convince a fighter jock to give up a sweet F-22 or F-35 gig…

        • Hagle canceled the Distinguished Warfare Medal. They are now creating a device (like the V for valor maybe a C for cyber or a D for drone) to add to a medal to show it was awarded for work with cyber or RPAs.

  2. I’ve been shot at by kids this young. I still regret breaking down my overwatch position 15 minutes before an 8 year old with a PKM wandered out into the open. Someone else got to shoot at him. They missed. Bummer.

      • I don’t care how old a dirka dirka is. If he’s got a gun pointed at my troops, he’s taking a permanent dirtnap.

        • You’re angry at the kid for wanting to defend his nation against a foreign aggressor? What reason did they give you for going there anyway?

        • Relatively sure that kid couldn’t understand nor care less about defending his homeland any more than the child props paraded around by Obama cared about “gun control.” Just saying.

        • Really, and when a kid picks up a knife and rushes the sh!t raping his mom, he has no idea of why he’s doing so?

I’ll grant you that unlike Iraq, in Afghanistan we don’t hold the moral lowground, but all he knows is that Uncle Mustafa died at the hands of whomever he’s fighting. I do hope it ain’t us.

In a war zone, kids grow up fast. And furious.

        • I will say also that it looks more like a weapons familiarization class than child soldiers.

On the American frontier, Pa’d learn li’l Johnny how to use a gun just in case of a bear or injuns.

Same thing. That country has been at war forty of the past fifty years; they’ll likely have to take up arms some time.

      • If he has intention of killing you or your buddies, then yes, bummer. Sucks that they would put kids in this position, but you’re dead out there if you can’t look past their age and see their intention.

        • i completely understand that. however i think had i been the guy who shot and killed a child id envy the guy who got to leave his post a few min before that child showed up. id still shoot the lil monster, but i wouldnt envy someone else for getting the opportunity. to each his own i guess.

  3. It used to be that a video like this would galvanize Americans into perhaps training our kids the same way, to prepare them for the possibility they may have to fight them. Sadly, now for most, it galvanizes people to shield their kids from this reality, in the hopes it just goes away. Epic fail IMO. If you don’t teach your kids to fight like the other kids, they will be beaten down by the other kids. The other kids don’t understand “nice”.

    • That is, I’m afraid, because a large percentage of today’s parents are themselves over-sized children who have never had to dig very deep to secure the things they hold dearest. FWIW, I’m not all that old and jaded yet but I seem to have had a bit more struggle required of me in my years than a lot of my contemporaries – perhaps this is why I don’t expect society, or the government or my mom to come to my rescue when life gets tough.

The notion that “violence is never the answer” and the admonition to “never fight, its not worth it” have been so ingrained in the youth of today that whenever a little obstacle arises a lot of them throw up their hands and scream “Mommy, help!” This apparent cultural shift disturbs me to no end – especially when the parents themselves then cry out to the government to “just do something” as well. The parents I know that are teaching their kids otherwise are still in a tough position because they are stuck with the reality that their children may have to either conceal their actual views in public or suffer potentially serious consequences for violating the acceptable group-think of the control freaks. For example, the Eighth grade kid who was just ARRESTED because of the T-shirt he wore to school. Holy Pig Snot Batman, what are we becoming?

    • If we had a sane immigration policy, we would not have to fight them. But invade the world and invite the world is the path we are on.
Ending all immigration for at least 40 years would be a good first stepl

      • Are you saying that the immigration policy that was in effect for the first 100 years of the Union was not sane?

        • We had different needs during the first 100 years. Growth was limited only by labor and there was enough land to provide even the poorest with a chance to work his way into owning a farm, or simply homesteading one. All you can homestead now is a broken apartment in South Central, and you’ll cost the government more in Medicaid and SNAP than you’ll ever save. Things change and policies have to change with them. Women didn’t have the vote 100 years ago. Is that a problem?

        • There’s still plenty of space (esp. if one gets away from the coasts), and you don’t need a piece of land to provide for yourself. There’s plenty of jobs to be done, too, especially if you consider all the ones that are currently done by illegal immigrants (the problem with whom is that they contribute less back to the economy and thus do not create as many jobs to service their needs).

A sane immigration policy can be argued about (and yes, letting in people with a known association with terrorist groups is not sane), but locking the border is not sane by any stretch of imagination.

The trick is letting in people who 1) are ready, willing and able to integrate, and 2) can provide for themselves and are able to demonstrate that. Some other countries do it via skilled immigration programs, whereby a prospective immigrant first comes in under a temporary work visa with a job offer in hand, and then, after a certain period of time – usually around a year or two – and provided that he still has the same (or equivalent) job, and is able to pass a basic language and civic literacy test, he gets the opportunity to apply for a permanent residency, and then citizenship. The requirement to have and maintain a job weeds out the lazy and the incompetent, and the tests are to block those refusing to integrate.

On the other hand, if you look at the troublemakers, they almost always come in as either refuges, or as relatives of refuges…

        • There is a long running joke from those living in other countries that nearly all US citizens would NOT pass the requirements for immigration into their own country.

    • Good observation. Back in the late 1700s the people of Massachusetts took on British troops. Now, in the early 2000s, a million residents of Massachusetts hide from one man with a pistol.

      • It makes me laugh, the better of the two options. The Big Dig still needs repairs. The US taxpayer funds enormous research grants to Harvard, a university almost no taxpayer’s kids can get into. Boston hates terrorism, well, except for the IRA kind of terrorism, which is sort of the ethnic equivalent of sending drones to Afghanistan. “Do it, but not here!” A city of brilliant cultural non-sequiturs.

      • They weren’t hiding from one man with a pistol, they were hiding from thousands of men with rifles and armored vehicles who threatened to kill them if they set foot out of their homes.

  4. Having visited that particular part of the world at the behest of the DoD, I feel compelled to answer the question in the article: no, we don’t have a side. We don’t take sides, anymore; we have “interests”.

  5. I hope these are enemy snipers in training complete with permanent mega trigger jerk, tinnitus, and complete disregard for sights .

  6. And if we shoot back and kill one of these children trying to kill us, the corps of poor helpless children are paraded on Al Jazeera and we are demonized. It is sad how the terrorist manipulate the media and public opinion by using dead children to further their goals

      • Last time I checked we don’t target non-military targets for the express purpose of causing mass carnage. We may arguably be invaders, but calling us terrorists is a bit much.

        • Wrong! It has already been stated our government will drop bombs o weddings and funerals in an attempt to kill one SUSPECTED terrorist! WAKE UP! This government is committing terror attacks in our name and here your dumbass is thinking it’s all good. Stop being a sheep. Drones for them today and drones for tomorrow. AGAIN, WAKE UP!

  7. This is nothing but propaganda released to justify the bombing of innocent children by U.S. controlled drones in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia etc. If you think Muslims are our number one enemy we will be easily duped and slaughtered on our own homeland right on our doorsteps! WAKE UP!

  8. Someone somewhere is training to kill you”
Someone somewhere is training to kill you:. “Somewhere a True Believer is training to kill you. He is training with minimum food or water, in austere conditions, day and night. The only thing clean on him is his weapon. He doesn’t worry about what workout to do—his rucksack weighs what it weighs, and he runs until the enemy stops chasing him. The True Believer doesn’t care ‘how hard it is’; he knows he either wins or he dies. He doesn’t go home at 1700; he is home. He knows only the ‘Cause.’ Now, who wants to quit

  9. Am I the only one that noticed that the adult “trainers” in that video had their faces fuzzed out but that the kids were left to be easily identified. These guys are hoping they get killed so they’ll make good propaganda fodder.

Those looked like Tokarev pistols being shot. Combine that with the AK’s and if any of those kids lives thru the next year they can immigrate to the US and get an SSI disability pension for total deafness.

  10. I watched that and my first thought was a bad one…. my thought was we need to kill them faster, and we are not killing enough of them. It’s been 68 years since a nuclear bomb was detonated on people, maybe the world needs a refresher course. I say this because I believe that getting respect from the rest of the world is no longer an option, so why not use fear and terror like they do, but on a level they can never match. I just might be having some anger issues today, probably a good thing I am not in charge of any ICBMs.

  11. Hopefully nobody like this guy ever gets elected President, or the entire rest of the world would pretty much have to nuke the US on inauguration day, just out of self-preservation.
