I love my Glock 17 RTF2. People actually did complain that the texture was rough enough to take off skin. I say quit being a mangina and suck it up. Aggressive texture is a damn good thing when there is mud and water.
I do like the texture, but there is very little mud and water (usually) between my skin and shirt nowadays. the RTF2 is a great texture if you need it for outdoors duty or as a backwoods gun. the Gen4’s texture is perfect (IMO) for carry use as a ratio between grippyness and carry comfort.
Nails occasionally complain about my rough-face hammer, but I tell ’em to keep a stiff upper lip and press on.
Wire staples, on the other hand, must needs be coddled. Wannies!
