The embed code she no work. So click here for dramatic video of a security guard shooting an AR-15 through a wall to discourage two armed robbers from completing their day’s work. “The armed couple both had handguns,” myfoxdetroit.com reports. “Surveillance video shows them being greeted at the door by the receptionist. The business owner was sitting in a chair against the wall. The bad guy pointed his gun at the receptionist’s head. The security guard in the office pulled out an AR-15 rifle. After the shootout, the security guard lunged to the door. ‘The security guard that was inside returned fire, two shots at the suspect. Did not hit him. The suspects then fled the location,” said Inkster Police Detective Lieutenant Jeffrey Smith.”

  1. Good post shows that Private security which needs 2A rights to survive has used AR-15s and they with AR saves lives. Hope it helps kills MIs AWB.

    • What the guard really needed was the army’s proposed new master key attachment to the ar15. A little pattern may have resulted in a more successful ending.

Edit: in their infinite originality they’re calling it an M26

      • Did you watch the video? It wasn’t the sight of a gun that made them leave. It was the bullets coming out the business end.

You don’t seem to understand how much easier it is to point and shoot a rifle than a shotgun or handgun. And that a rifle’s accuracy makes it safer for surrounding innocents.

Didn’t they teach you about that in the Marines?

      • Handguns are for fighting your way to the long gun you never should have put down in the first place.

Sure, handguns are useful for defense, and they are much more practical to keep on one’s person, but that doesn’t mean they’re the best tool for every job.

  2. Notice that he was a private security guard and how aggressive he was in his defense. I don’t think a cop would have been that aggressive, I think a cop would have run out the back door.

I highly encourage you to click on the above link. It demonstrates how in New York, where it’s basically illegal to defend yourself with any effective tools, the cops will avoid even getting scratched before protecting anyone.

  3. For how fast things unfolded, it looks like it went as well as it could! The security guard, regardless even though he did get hit, deterred the baddies and slid to cover while providing defense to the business owners.

I’m not going to arm chair general this one, things happend fast and the ended up on top. Good job.

  4. It’s a good thing the perps fled and this wasn’t in New York. That poor guy would have been down to only Five rounds left in the gun.

  5. Second attacker fumbled getting weapon out of bag. While off body has it place at times I think it’s a lesson for me to avoid it when possible.

  6. AR-15 (or any gun for that matter) used to defend someone’s life – imagine that. It’s too bad that the criminals haven’t been caught yet. I bet they’re hold up in the nearest bathroom trying to figure out how to stitch together toilet paper into patches for their underwear.

  7. Why was a tax-prep business the target of an armed robbery? And why was an armed guard posted there? I’m glad someone was able to respond, but the whole thing makes me wonder…

    • Some tax prep businesses in urban areas will pay out your refund anticipation loan in cash, in exchange for keeping a bigger cut of the refund.

It’s the semi-predatory payday loan concept applied to tax refunds.

    • I know, right? A tax prep business that has two armed guards. One with a AR? Methinks there’s more than tax refunds being “processed” at that location.

      • I worked a couple blocks from that location a decade ago, EVERYONE carried in Inkster due to the amount of gang activity and it hasnt changed since.

  8. I’m not exactly sure what type of tax business is run out of a home with armed security. Inkster is a pretty depressed area, I wouldn’t be shocked if there is more to the story. Also, from the video, it looks like that AR is a SBR, which is a no go in Michigan.(we can have suppressors and machine guns though). The security guard has a shiny SUV, with light bars, spotlights, and “Patrol Vehicle” and “Concealed Pistol License” around a generic badge as a large decal.

The robbers fled on foot, but the police said they don’t believe that they are from the area. I would think that they would be, as the “business” seemed like a low profile “establishment”, that a local would know about, and if they had any “assets” worth taking.

  9. There seems to be a mindset that says criminals deserve a chance to kill us. Nobody needs an AR, you can use a pistol. An AR will be too tough on a perp, so use a 6 round pistol & be a sport, give the guy a chance to kill you & your family, it’s the “right” thing to do. Oh well, it’s late & I danced my ass off with the nightclub ladies, clunk, Randy
