        • From the same place all those Walther Creeds were coming from when the pandemic just hit. Those guns weren’t made in years and suddenly all the social media was full of n00bs getting those pushed on them.

        • Tec-9’s are one of those guns that at have built up a rep…they’re really not good for anything but up-close…but they look scarier than they actually are…even in full-auto all they do is spray bullets all over the place….too light for much controlability…..

      • Half of what is on the “AR Pistol List” isn’t really even an AR. I get that’s what was reported, but come on.

    • Most on that list Aren’t “AR” pistols.
We complain that anti-gunners don’t know wtf they’re talking about and The National Shooting Sports Foundation prints nonsense like that! At least the didn’t call them “assault weapons”

      • “We report, you deride.”

        Good one. 🙂

        ****
Today, after work, I’ll be meeting up with two newbies whom I treated to a fun day at the range last month. They immediately sought out their first guns and – after much persistence and repeated attempts – were finally able to get one for each of them. All four of our local LGSs have been completely sold out and can’t hold onto anything whenever it becomes available. Everything has been flying out the door. So today I’ll be meeting with them to show them how to educate them on their individual guns, perform simple takedowns & cleaning, and then perform full disassemblies and inspections so they can see how they work.

And then another newbie and I will be doing the same soon, as he’s still waiting on a part to become available for his own new gat.

One new POTG at a time.

      • These numbers were culled from online sales nationwide, not actual from gun shops and other 4473 sources. From the first sentence of the article:

“The National Shooting Sports Foundation’s latest Online Sales View numbers are a window into what guns Americans are buying right now, during the biggest gun sales surge in the history of history.”

      • As per Garands: “Not sure how many the CMP sells each year but that could account for most of the garand numbers.”

I’d figure that in the used market for about any firearm, unrecorderd person-to-person sales would probably be much higher than any figure NSSF could come up with as they’re likely using polling from submitted from FFLs. All the article list is what NSSF can put together from their “Online Sales View” which wouldn’t even take into account brick and mortar shops. In that regard, the figure used in any of the “most sold” categories is likely pretty low, nation-wide, making CMP’s sales appear to be high. (The vast majority of any sale via CMP is not through-the-door.)

It might have been more useful for NSSF to report actual numbers of sales rather than the easy poll of “highest number”, which might have been 30. I’ll bet if they did, the number of “used Garands” would not seem all that high.

    • I thought the same

I don’t know where the original info or dataset is but it looks like they’re getting all this from online sales. Maybe that skews it somehow.

They also classified a Tec-9 as an AR Pistol. I get the feeling this list isn’t all that meaningful.

    • Garlands?

I would be interested in seeing the NSSF’s data.

And apparently they do not know what an AR platform is, that’s interesting.

Obviously, theare are serious concerns about the validity of the data they provide.

If they’re wrong about such basic facts as these, what other ‘facts’ have they spouted that are total BS as well?

    • Same on semi-auto:
      4 GLOCK G19
      7 GLOCK G19 Gen4

      AR Pistols:
Top 10 New AR Pistols, Jan thru July
      Brand Model
      2 CZ-USA Scorpion
      4 Grand Power Stribog
      5 Ruger PC Charger
      7 CZ-USA Scorpion EVO 3 S1
      10 CZ-USA Scorpion EVO

None of those are AR pistols.

The data seems pretty unreliable. So unreliable as to be useless.

Shame on NSSF not even performing a quick check – but also shame on TTAG for using it, without first asking NSSF “dude, WTH?”
The most-sold used AR pistol was the Intratec TEC 9.

      • Unfortunately the only thing that can be counted on by the NSSF is their willingness to sell Americans 2 nd, amendment rights cheaply.

      • It looks like they just took some numbers they received and put it in list form without anyone actually looking at it with a critical eye.

      • Nothing from Palmetto????
        That doesn’t smell right either.
Or do only gun folk know about PSA?

Something makes me think Palmetto isn’t in the accounting because it is direct sales.

        • It’s either that, or that soooo many of the gun buyers just don’t know about buying from the internet. Especially all the newbies due to the covid situation, who just buy what they’re told to by the employee behind the counter at their LGS, for better or worse.

The vast majority of the gun stores I visit have hilariously high prices for common, new weapons compared to what they can easily be had for by reputable online retailers. All those newbies don’t know any better, nor do they know about PSA because the FUDD behind the counter sure isn’t about to tell them.

Or, if the customer asks the dealer “Say, what about PSA? Do you see many of those?” “Oh, PSA, yeah, I haven’t had one come through my shop that the customer didn’t bring back the next day because it blew up on the second mag! Now, let me show you this brand new Taurus. State of the art safe mechanism…”

As for the list, as others have said the data is useless when they’re separating out G19’s by generation, S&W AR’s by sport I v II, etc. If they could have supplied numbers with them, at least the viewer could have done some basic math for themselves and turned it into something somewhat useful.

    • MAC-11 9…this one is much better than people think…allows you to fire acceptable groups…and has decent balance….

      • Yeah, the “big picture” kinda looks like a lot of gun stores used this as an opportunity to clear out some stale inventory. But even the most uninitiated newbs have grasped the most fundamental concept: Any gun is better than no gun at all.

        Rule #1: Have a gun.

        • I had a moron at Bass Pro behind the gun counter actually argue rule #1 with me. I left everything I was going to buy on the counter. Went and talked to the manager about why I was never coming back and have not since.

        • Which Rule #1? NRA’s or Cooper’s?
If it’s Cooper’s, “All Guns are Always Loaded” and taken without exception, then yeah, that’s an idiotic rule. If it’s the NRA’s “Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction”, then yeah, good rule.

        • @JWT – Not the rules of gun safety …

The first rule of a gunfight: Have a gun.

Which was also often propounded by Jeff Cooper, although he may not have been its originator.

        • I… what? What was his argument? That you should expect to win a gunfight with a sword?

Or was he suggesting that someone “need” not carry a gun everywhere as that’s a personal decision of safety like wearing a motorcycle helmet?

        • “Went and talked to the manager about why I was never coming back and have not since.”

Somehow, I doubt they were inconsolable when you never returned.

(Translation – More room at the counter for folks like *me*… 😉 )

        • I’m considering a .22 plinker, I’d like to find a beat-up Hi-Standard semi-auto or Ruger Mk I somewhere for not-rape prices.

Cheap bulk .22lr is about gone. At Cabela’s-Bass-Pro it disappears pretty much as soon as it gets listed…

        • I bought a Colt Woodsman about 30 years ago for $65. Someone carried it in a holster for quite a while. Great gun that I most often used introducing new shooters to the fun.

    • I see more of those on dealer shelves than anything else. Sub $200 and easy to shoot. 22lr hasnt been quite as scarce as other calibers.

      • One of the Rough Riders has a 6.5″ barrel and an additional 22WMR cylinder. That caught my interest. The single action is a considerable negative for home defense.

But I was very surprised by LuckyGunner’s gelatin tests of Speer Gold Dot 40gr 22WMR ammo out of a 4.3″ barrel. They show FBI quality performance.

        • I have an older Single Six convertible. It has the 5.5 inch barrel. I’m pleasantly surprised at .22 mag performance out of it.

It would not be my first choice as a self defense weapon. But if it was all I had I would not feel helpless packing it.

    • yep. they go for about $140, the ammo is cheap , and it is a real gun. I have taken a lot of newbies shooting over the decades and the hands down favorite among them is my ancient accurate fun ruger single six.
. I got one of the rough riders , and YMMV, but mine was borderline unusable. quirky, sticky action, worst accuracy I have seen in a handgun in a long time . but , I could hit a piece of paper with 6 at 10 yds.

      • I’ve introduced new shooters with my No8 trainer. It looks and feels like a Lee-Enfield No4/5 but is a single shot .22.

    • Got some folks looking for a cheap gun and then some gun people looking for a new picnic gun – since the kids have been home and 22 was more available.

Now if we see the sales of IWB holsters for Wranglers going up – we will know there’s a new sheriff in town.

    • I’m surprised about that as well.

The G2, G3 and TX-22 are very popular and solid buys….or so I’ve been lead to believe…

      • Really odd is M 1 Garand, there aren’t that many produced yearly by S.A. and the surplus reimports are close to 1000.00 or more,I can’t see that many flying off the shelves.
Somethings fishy with their entire list.

        • They are probably counting CMP sales. You can get a field grade for about $650 compared to $1000 for the most beat up Garand at a gun show.

    • Not in semi auto, but they had 4 of the top 10 wheel guns. My next purchase is likely going to be a 692 w/6.5″ barrel. Then I’ll have an excuse to buy a Marlin 1894 357 mag/38 Special to compliment the wheel gun.

    • A huge factor of this entire list is ….

How many were sitting in stock before the panic arrived.

Because essentially anything that shot a bullet got sold.

Can be the best gun in the world but if they aren’t in stock the sales over the past 6 month will be zero.

  1. This might be more a function of what’s on dealers shelves.
When you need a gun now, you buy the one in the store

    • And in many cases the dealers have to take a “package” from the distributors which may include less popular guns and calibers. The dealers then heavily discount these guns to get the out of the inventory but these sales are reported back to the manufacturers who then keep making them.

    • that little Ruger Mk-II is one nasty piece…can empty it faster than you can count the rds…no wonder the mafia likes it!….

  2. A couple surprises for me: Ruger-57 was #10 semiauto and Sig 320 was top used. I’d expect Glocks to be top used since they have 30 years worth of being top sellers plus a lot of police trade ins. Didn’t think there were that many used 320s around.

Not so much of a surprise: Remington 870 not on top 10 list of new pump shotguns, but top of used. Good demonstration of Big Green’s drop in quality and why they’re bankrupt again.

    • If you interpret the list, you’ll note that the G19 had 2 slots; likely to mean that if you put them together, you’d have the actual winner.
However, given the current climate, the biggest seller is probably going to be the biggest manufacturer, or whoever can get the most guns to the dealers. My favorite LGS’s have been sold out for a while now.

    • I’m wondering if that’s all they had at the store. The shelves are empty around here except for the $600-$800 range in handguns.
If you don’t have a car, you’re not going to buy a corvette as your first car, unless that’s all they have. Hah.

    • My newer 870’s action broke a few months ago before I could put only 500 shells through it, and neither I nor the armorer/gunsmith I took it to could fix it. My other shottie is literally 60+ years old and has gobbled up and spit out everything but the kitchen sink without so much as a hiccup. Ever. I don’t think I could break it if I tried. The newer 870, tho, not so good.

      • That is not the first time I’ve heard that Haz.

I have an almost 30 year old 870 that was the first gun I bought when I moved to Wisconsin. I’ve shot every damn thing out of that gun including home made crayon/BB rounds and it’s never hiccuped once. Heavy as hell, not fancy and seemingly indestructible.

Newer ones have been not nearly as reliable in my discussions with other folks.

        • I know folks, including my son, that bought new in the box Remingtons and had the same problems that Haz reports.

The old school 870 just worked. All my pump guns these days are Mossberg. The only semi auto shotgun I own is a Benelli. I have no big green products, outside of ammo, in the house.

      • Yours is a pretty common story, unfortunately. I’ve been around quite a few and in my life I’ve only ever seen 2 pump shotguns fail. And they were both current gen 870s. You know your products are hot garbage when there are literally Chinese knock offs that are better

      • “shockwave” is another one with intimidating appearance…kind of surprising it’s legal…and it does require registration in my state…(PA)….

    • Sig p320 top sold new and top sold used leads me to believe they are not all that great.

Heritage roughrider is #1 because they are so darn cheap it’s hard to pass up.

.22s and .357/.38 spl it looks like top revolver cartridges.

The soldier that shot the former airmen in austin a few days back punched his ticket with a .357 mag revolver. Three shots , i guess the dumbass with the AK47 needed a period and exclamation point.

      • “Sig p320 top sold new and top sold used leads me to believe they are not all that great.”

Seeing as they are still not drop safe as of this July,I wouldn’t be interested.

Is The SIG P320 UNSAFE?! Lawsuit Detailing Numerous Incidents Says YES!

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SBpZBs3foA

Sig Sauer Settles P320 Class Action Lawsuit Does It Affect You?

      • A .357?? Nice! Two shots would have done it. Call me a Fudd, but three shots of 9mm wouldn’t have compared.

        • I’m a massive .357 fan and it warms my heart to know it was .357 that got that guy. Now, if we could only find the platform… S&W 627 is my planned next buy.

        • those three shot buckshot rds are kind of nice in a big-bore revolver…..work nice in those little snubbies too….

      • There were a lot of almost new police trade in Sig P320s being sold at places like CDNN for good prices. If I had to guess Sig just replaced all the police guns that were recalled with new ones, because you can’t have officers sitting around with no gun for 2 weeks if they send them in to be fixed. Then Sig wholesaled them to distributors after they fixed them.

  3. There are some oddities in that list. Have to wonder if the TEC 9 is there due to the influence of the cartoon “Archer”. Top secret agent Lana Kane loves her matched set.

Real world is daughter’s first handgun. I await her decision on her first handgun to buy with all my Cabela’s card points. She’s busy in college right now, but we chat a bit on it now and then.

Could be a Ruger Wrangler, she loves the old west feel.

Could be a Ruger double action, perhaps in .357/.38.

Semi-autos are still discussed, I mention the S&W “EZ” slide models with grip safety in 9mm. Young woman is petite.

Hope to add to the NSSF’s numbers late in the year, when she is on a Christmas break possibly. Not worried about the panic buying and empty shelves, we can order and wait for what she wants. Patience being a vriue after all … and it’s not like I haven’t guns to lend her 🙂

    • A daughter in college away from home and she is not ALREADY armed? Bruh, slackin. I wouldn’t even let my little brother step foot on campus without carrying. Especially in VA.

  4. Stupid people buy firearms at stupid times. I gotta imagine at least 50% of these sales are first time buyers. Why the 320 is so popular I’ll never understand. Garbage gun. And the ruger 57? That along with the fn 57 is probably the dumbest firearms to buy during shtf times. Have you seen ammo prices and availability? Just wow. But I believe that draco thing, i traded mine with 500 rds for a trp in 10mm. I think i spent 825 for draco and ammo and got a lnib $1400 1911! LoL. Times are bad but jesus it will resemble normal in a year or so. A lot of these folks must be the same ones who bought tp like mad, and 2 months later the shelves are full again. LoL at America!

    • about the 320 being the most popular: you may have noticed that it’s also the most popular used gun to sell. There’s only 2 reasons to sell a gun: you don’t like it or you need money for something else. I can’t imagine selling a gun I like right now if I didn’t need the money…

    • Sig p320 is a superior gun to everything else out there. More accurate than anything under $1000. Extremely reliable (got a good friend with over 50000 rounds through his gun without a single malfunction, I have put over 4000 rounds through mine without a single malfunction). Easier to modify than any other handgun. Chosen by the US military. Chosen by numerous foreign militaries, Chosen by many Domestic and Foreign law enforcement agencies.

      • The shooter decides how accurate they are with any given gun, not the gun itself. It’s just my opinion that the 320 is garbage as I don’t like Sigs and I see all kinds of used 320s up for sale, that’s never a great sign of a great gun.

      • Please cite anything to back this up. I personally have a Glock with at least 100,000 rounds through it and. Othing replaces other than springs. Always considered Sig to be the Volkswagen of guns with HK being the BMW.

        • ….most of these newbies won’t even fire the thing…all they want is something that goes “bang1″….

    • @Chris,

So…we as POTG spend our time here griping about all the people who have been ambivalent about guns and the 2A in general, and then when something happens and many of them come over to our side of the fence and buy their first gun, the logical response is to…what…call them stupid? Really?

Embrace and educate them. Welcome them into the fold and help them to be better versions of themselves.

        • All hail the mighty all hail, king of trolls, noblest of prepubescent basement dwellers! All hail him as his momma brings him more pizza rolls! All hail him as he faps to Haz’s latest comment! All hail All Hail as his sister cousin wipes off his screen and keyboard! It’s an all hail storm!

        • You mad bro? I see anything I Haz A Question and instantly skip over it. Guaranteed word salad with no actual content. Would rather read the ramblings of Powerserge who is an admitted Russian troll.

        • Plus don’t forget pwrserge powned I Haz A Question back in May and I Haz still hasn’t answered for that disgrace.

      • “when something happens and many of them come over to our side”

They haven’t come over to our side. They’ve merely bought a gun. And when push comes to shove, many of them will be happy if ours are taken away. In fact, they’ll cheer.

    • Well chris I too am well stocked however I am not on a perch looking down on people who may not have had a gun. Perhaps realizing they could not be choosers like you they took what they could get. Same with people who assumed the shelves would never be bare of tp, etc. It’s all similar to the upcoming election in Nov. There are gun talkers on this forum who think they can be choosers when in fact the only choice is between 2. Any other choice is in the end a vote for Jim Crow Gun Control Joe Biden.
I hope your crystal ball is not like one particular gun talker’s who catered to Biden by predicting a biden win and a gone biden in 2024. At that time he predicted the perfect candidate will appear. Only self serving spoiled brat politically inept clapping seals that permeate this forum today would fall for such an ignorant prediction. Hope you are not one of them.

      TRUMP/PENCE 2020.

      • Not on a perch and I voted Trump as I will this election. MN will go red this time and being MN is thee state to win with Texas possibly going blue in 2024 I’m doing what I can to get people out to vote for the “right” person.

        • ….find it kind of interesting that my democratic house rep is having trouble getting funding…not sure if that is a trend or just an aberration…

      • I have to go along with you, Debbie. I saw that “gone Biden in 2024” thing too. It was so stupid that it just left me speechless.

      • Nooby… Minneapolis . Senior. Seems you are not shaming and want to encourage . Since the storm on Lake Street blew in, many elderly citizens are wanting to carry and protect their apartments, houses, homes. Going to Famous Footwear is even a dangerous experience. Yes fear may be a great impotice for purchasing a gun. Many live alone. And none of us are stupid for not having a gun. Our neighborhoods once could rely on immediate police response. That game is over. So we need information. Types of guns for weaker, maybe arthritic hands. Practice range costs. Etc. Anything would help and responsible owners should teach classes for elderly men and women. Thank you for being responsible and for not calling someone’s grandparent stupid. We have enough problems without causing divisions amongst Patriots.

    • “…resemble normal in a year or so?”

I sure hope so! But only if Trump gets re-elected, and the Senate stays in Republican hands. Otherwise, we’re in for a TEOTWAWKI apocalypse.

Meanwhile, the numbers are skewed by what inventory is out there to purchase, which as many have said, is virtually zero. It’s like one of my co-workers said at the start of the pandemic – “Every food producer should go to Walmart, and whatever is left on the shelves, don’t make it any more!” The only frozen pizza left is pineapple garlic? Whose idea was it to make that in the first place? But if you’re really, really hungry… well, I guess we’ll see a spike in pineapple garlic pizza sales. Doesn’t mean it’s the best.

      • Don’t forget about the private market, plenty of firearms to be had, even most models new can be had on backorder in under 2 weeks. Of course it could be better but for our country to be attacked by the left and china for 6 straight months not counting the usual leftist BS we are doing pretty good.

      • I made a similar message up above. Gun shops often have to buy a package from the distributors that in addition to popular guns in common cartridges will also include less popular guns in less than popular cartridges. These are the guns that are on the shelves for months, even years, that the shop decides they’ve had enough of and sell at a big discount to get rid of. But the manufacturer then sees the sales and keeps making the unpopular guns because they are selling, but not for the right reasons.

The gun buy craze was obviously a good time to get rid of dead stock without too much of a financial penaltym

  5. Some interesting data.

I can see Rough Riders flying off the shelves during a panic buy. Very inexpensive, and probably a lot easier to find after everything else has been picked over at the gun shop. Plus, they’re just fun little shooters.

SUB-2000’s? I refuse to believe Kel-Tec was able to actually build enough of those unicorns to take the #2 spot. (Kel-Tec, where we have 700 gun designers, but only 7 people actually making guns 🙂 )

  6. Mossberg shotguns being the most popular is no surprise. The 500/590 series shotguns are not only affordable but easily modified with aftermarket parts. Seeing the Benelli M4 pop up in th mix makes sense, too. More expensive, less capacity but MILSPEC.
Back in the day – early ’90’s – I used to own and reload .308 ammo for my Remington 700 w/ H&S Precision stock. Very accurate rifle. Nowadays I wouldn’t even consider a Remington.

    • I have both the 500 and the 590. The 500 has been a workhorse since buying it at a K-Mart Blue Light Special about 42 years ago. The 590 I built up from parts found on GunBroker. It’s the heavier barrel, Parkerized, bayonet lug too. Works great, and the bayonet comes in handy during the Alien Vampire Zombie Virus Apocalypse.

Just hard to imagine going wrong buying a Mossberg shotgun.

    • Mossberg’s take readily to those mini-shells…useful to know if you want to load it to the max…all you need is a cheap adapter….

  7. The 629 is third on the list of most sold revolvers? Now that is surprising. My bet I either people who kept their jobs during the Kung Flu either spent their trump bucks on a dream piece, or first time buyers who didn’t know any better went into the gun store and asked for the Dirty Harry gun.

    • More likely it was what was left in stock when the desperate ones showed up late with a wad of plastic to add to their debt.

Why else would so many folks be buying Rough Riders? It’s a gun. It goes bang. And it was probably all the dealer had left in stock.

      • At the Rough Rider’s price and caliber, I’d say it’s a fine second gun since most good semi-auto style .22LR pistols are ~200 dollars more.

    • Don’t forget about the deadbeats on unemployment who had an extra 2400 a mt after their normal payments, a lot of guns bought there. Also the sba grant scam where anyone who knows how to fill the application out right can grab 10k, all those criminals will eventually get federal fraud charges but those kind never think longterm. Around where I am in south Minneapolis I’ve seen and heard many dozens pulling this off, can’t imagine nationwide. And the new stimulus will probably refund that to! LOL A hell of a government we got.

  8. Well those list are a shock. There really is a pistol besides the 1911 and there must be more revolvers than the Ruger Super Blackhawk.

  9. Not much continuity in this list. But then everything has been crazy this year. I’ve been curious about all this. It has to be regional/availability thing.

  10. Black Aces Tactical, Winter Park FL, has been distributing the equivalent to a Hunt Group FD-12, bullpup Semi-auto magazine fed 12ga. It is compact like the Tavor TS12 but even more so. Its Turkish made but it should be the best seller. They can’t keep them in stock, their dealers sell out in a day or so.

  11. Aside from the other unlikely listings and mislabeled listings, I find it odd that neither the Ruger LCR, SP 101, or GP 100 made it into the most sold revolver list.

    • Last handgun I bought as the beer virus was closing in on us was a gp-100. They were already back ordering glocks and other semi autos. Back in March.

Here in CA we still have shotguns and rifles available at Big 5. Even saw a couple of mini 14’s on the rack. But handguns? In my area its mostly out of stock.

      • I absolutely LOVE my GP-100. Hell, it’s the second one I’ve owned. I wore out the other one and upgraded to stainless.

        • Not my first Ruger. But my first stainless. I bought the gp100 7 shot. It’s still new but so far, I’m liking it.

        • How can someone wear out a gp100 tank?

Yea I don’t really like the LCR and it is over priced. The .38 kicks more than smith 642s or comparable j frames. The grip feels too sticky and it has trouble with some speed loaders. Also the finger grove grips forces me to get a higher boar axis than I can get with smiths. On a smith j frame I can’t really cram my hand up high and it’s still comfortable.

        • I wore out the forcing cone from the number of rounds it had through it. It was pitting, cracking and the edges of it had begun to round off.
The rifling and timing were still solid but the bluing was wearing off from use in some places and worst of all the cylinder gap was past Ruger’s factory spec of .007. It was spitting particles at me due to that. All that shooting had created end shake.

Like I said, I was in the mood for stainless so I traded it in at one of my local gun shops rather than send it back to Ruger for a repair. I got a decent amount of money for it considering the condition and I was happy as a clam to get the Stainless version. My Stainless is already starting to show forcing cone erosion due to the number of rounds at magnum levels put through it. THIS one will go back to Ruger when necessary though.

    • I’m seeing LCRs fo for full MSRP now which is around 525…..about 300 more than they should be. Could help explain it.

  12. My store’s stock of guns is next to nothing. Anything that’s oriented toward self-defense was sold months ago. Ammo? No pistol ammo, no .223 or 5.56 FMJ. Plenty of .223 hollowpoints if you want to pay through the nose. Upscale hunting rounds in .308 and .270 aplenty, but not cheap. Few people are going to throw several boxes of them down range.

I sold all of three guns yesterday. Well, make that two. One is on a NICS delay and will have to wait a couple of days to clear.

  13. Looking at the Sig 320, are they counting the red box pistols as used? Because they are supposedly either being sold at retail already or just having been sent back without ever being sold, refitted by Sig, and are considered used. Not sure of all the numbers on this. I got a red box 320 last year that looks 100% new, had the refit done, yet sold as used. I don’t think they were supposed to do any refinishing but who knows for sure. The most used pistols I see for sale/trade by owners (not gun stores) are Glocks. By far. I’m sure there are many reasons why… so many sold they flood the market so more available to sell/trade, buyers decide they don’t like them, want to get a different Glock or other brand, etc… At least we see many more people buying now. It takes something like an obama or a virus to make people panic and buy.

  14. Top 10 New Pump Shotguns, Jan thru July
    Brand Model
    1 Mossberg 590
    2 Mossberg 500
    3 Remington 870
4 Mossberg 590 Shockwave is not a shotgun is is an “other”, kinda like a non-binary teen perhaps it needs its own pronouns, too./S/

  15. Happy to say I have some of them!!
Now if newbies would stop buying and driving up prices so I can buy more babies!!
I think guns have gone up sharper than gold!

  16. What bizarre “lists”! Keltec Sub 2000 # 2!?!😃 Multiple listings of the same Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport II. All the new Taurus semiautomatic’s are sold out immediatly since they upped their game. Huge seller.I can’t believe they aren’t at the top. My LGS gets in a LOT of new guns(and ammo)nearly daily. They don’t price gouge either(Blythes,Griffith,IN). I got a box of X-Tac 62gr.greentip there yesterday…anyone ever use it???

  17. Some makes sense, in particular if you add G19+ G19 Gen4. I assume but would it be higher if not split by Gen? Cali Gen 3+Gen4+Gen5 probably has the G19 #1 like on GunBroker.

I’m a Sig Fan, but Glock has the factories.

    At this point, production=sales

  18. No Yeet Cannon on the list?

10/22 at #9? I thought it was the biggest selling lead spitter on the whole planet.

  19. What a BS list. There is no way to know what is on that list, without gun registration sent in to a centralized location. guess what. We don’t have that. So just how do they know that the M1 Garand is the most sold used semi auto, or the Remington 870 is the most sold used gun, or the like.

Sales are through the roof, but this is BS.

  20. This list seems about as fuckey as literally every other statistic reported by, well, anyone, ever.

  21. I turn on the TV and all I hear from politicians is about “All the guns on the street”. I am baffled, I go out to my mailbox and also check the street, No guns? What Gives? I keep looking on my street to find a Sig P210 and never find anything on the street. Maybe I live in the wrong neighborhood?

  22. Is anyone else concerned about reports of types of firearms? That means the government knows how many guns are out there!

  23. Honestly, I could have guessed quite a bit of this list. What I’d really be interested in is what is NOT selling well. You know, what I’d pretty much still expect to actually be able to find without much effort. If not for this “crisis” then maybe for the next one.
