Well they would say that, wouldn’t they, what with the President’s post-Umpqau pronouncement that it’s more-than-OK to politicize the shooting. A statement he made before the bodies were even cold. Or the facts of the crime revealed. Not to mention his attaboy to the UK and Australia for their ban ‘n confiscate approach to mass shootings. The pro-gun side has taken this Tweet as an ominous sign that the President will act to take away Americans’ natural, civil and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms . . .
Sure, he didn’t come right out and say that. Could you imagine the backlash if he did? There’s no way people would accept something like that in this country. Not yet.
How else do you “help” after determining there’s “too many” guns other than shrinking the number via confiscation?
The youngcons.com kvetch is not without reason. Fortunately, the President is without the political wherewithal to git ‘er done. May it always be thus.
