But never fear, an alert producer at CNN apparently let Jake Tapper know that the usual term for a period of time in Chicago that sees eleven shootings including a 3-year-old is ‘Friday night.’ What’s a journalist to do, then? Hell, they’ve been marooned out here in the bowels of fly-over country for almost two weeks anyway. It’s not too big a leap to take the road show 250 miles north to check out the daily body count in the City of Big Shoulders (and abrogated gun rights). I know plenty of fellow St. Louisans who would gladly chip in to buy their plane tickets. Hell, I might even be persuaded to drive a group of them up there myself (gas is on me). On Wednesday in Chicago a 9 year old boy was shot and killed.
Now, that is actually a pretty normal thing. Those pesky kids are always getting in the line of fire between two street gangs and get wounded or even killed. There is hardly a weekend and often a weekday where that doesn’t happen. Yesterday it was a three year old girl who got shot in the head.
But this was really different. This little 9 year old boy was executed. He was shot seven times.

Why in the world do the people who live in Chicago put up with this? Why aren’t they demanding that something be done about the gangs who thus far this year, have already killed 230 people and wounded 1,400 others.

Because they are not white people shooting black people. Black people shooting black people is A-OK per established norms.
Which, when it comes down to it, makes inner city black people incredibly racist. Everyone is “comfortable” talking about racism and oppression when white people are the culprit. But if racism is perpetuated by inner city blacks or Hispanics, nobody wants to touch it, especially when the liberal progressive mainstream media has an agenda to push.
Since the shooting in Ferguson, six kids have been murdered in Chicago:

• 8/12 – Devonte Carthan, 17, Burnside
• 8/14 – Wally Flex, 16, Chatham
• 8/16 – Shaquise Buckner, 16 Englewood
• 8/16 – Jason Seballos, 16, Logan Square
• 8/20 – Antonio Smith, 9, Grand Crossing
In addition to those six, 16 adults have been murdered (including one police-involved) and another 112 people have been shot and wounded. 34 of the 112 wounded were between the ages of 11-18.
Yet it’s just crickets from the usual suspects.

What is the rational? It sounds like the argument is LOL White on Black shootings are A-OK because black people shoot each other all the time.
There have been numerous protests in Chicago about the escalating gun violence, they don’t make the national news because they aren’t racial charged and they are non violent.
If you insist on throwing those heavy words around, Mr. The Man, you’d be better served to aim them towards those who truly mean you harm. They’re right next to you all day every day. Every single day. Their livelihoods depend on it.

Fact of the matter is being black doesn’t make one violent, it doesn’t make one a criminal, being a violent and being criminal makes one violent and criminal, and whether you know it or not those issues occur regardless of race.
So again just come out and say you are scared of or bigoted towards minorities.

Pointing out that violence is committed disproportionately more by blacks than whites is not the same as claiming that being black makes one violent, and is not racism. Reading a child hard statistic cannot be racist.
The fact is that no one here has claimed that violence among black Americans is because they are black, nor has anyone deliberately implied it.
That is your inference. The racism you see in us exists in your own head.
There is a huge cultural problem that, while it has participants from every race, statistically is far worse in the black community. I don’t know if it’s an overt belief that violence is an acceptable way to handle things or if it is the result of a sense of entitlement combined with a lack of impulse control. But there is something going wrong and is disproportionately affects non immigrant blacks.
Why do I suspect that I’ll be accused of claiming that blacks inherently lack impulse control? Or will the accusation of racism even be justified?
