BenShot, the Wisconsin-based company famous for making glassware embedded with real bullets, is going above and beyond this holiday season to make sure each one of its employees has both the means and requisite safety training to own a firearm.

The staff, which includes several military veterans, is obviously pro-2A. However, after co-owner Ben Wolfgram found out that a few of his employees had never owned a handgun, he decided to change that by gifting each employee a firearm of his or her choice, in addition to footing the bill for a gun safety and handling course.

“There were two motivators,” Wolfgram said. “One, we thought it would be good for everybody’s safety to have a handgun in the home, and then also, it’s kind of fun, so we have company outings planned to go to the shooting range. So, we had everyone pick out the gun that they wanted, and then we bought gift cards for everyone, and they used the gift card to purchase the gun, so that way the background check was done by the store.”

“For us, now, we have an entire armed staff,” Wolfgram added. “I think that’s pretty good.”

BenShot, LLC began as a father-and-son team working out of their garage in 2015 and has grown astronomically since then. No doubt, the company’s willingness to support and invest in its employees is a big part of it.

“We’re bringing manufacturing back to our rural community one shot glass at a time,” reads the company’s website. “Every job we create is vital. Veterans are encouraged to send their applications in to our team!”

It’s great to see a USA-based, pro-2A, family-owned business living out its values. You can check out their wares on their website as well as Amazon.

  2. Seems I need to move…and lie about owning handguns.

This is such a cool story. I’m really glad that the owner is actually a human being and cares about his people.

  3. Does the guy on the right in the green hat have his booger-hook on the bang-switch, or does he just have a really stubby left index finger?

  4. Biggest grins belong to the two guys on right hand side, row two.
    Looks like a S&W 500 and Deagle.
    I’m sure I would be grinning also…

    • Got a buddy who is a pilot for a major airline.
He regularly brings stuff back from overseas.
      Hibiki being most popular.

  5. That’s awesome! I’d never even heard of this company before either, but their products are cool as hell. I just bought one; and if I like it I’ll get a few more as Christmas gifts
