Franklin Armory is coming into 2025 swinging, with a series of new drops. We covered the new 22-EZ 10/22 trigger the other day and then they hit us us with four more new releases over the past day or so. They start out by bringing some love to the SCAR platform and a more affordable AR trigger, then follow up with complete .22 rifle and pistol builds, and the AR based OPS-11 SBR and Pistol. Let’s tackle them one at a time.

Franklin Armory’s New Binary Trigger for FN SCAR
MINDEN, Nev. – January 16, 2025 – Franklin Armory, Inc., one of America’s most innovative manufacturers of firearms and accessories, announced today the latest model in the patented Binary Firing System® lineup. The new SKR-C1 is Franklin Armory’s first Binary® trigger for the popular FN SCAR®. Now, FN SCAR owners can experience the thrill of shooting in Binary mode that hundreds of thousands of Americans have come to enjoy on many other firearm platforms.
If you can afford a SCAR, you can probably afford to burn through the ammo you’re going to want to with a Binary trigger installed. Binary is fun, and the SCAR should be a cool platform to run it on. MSRP for the new SKR-C1 Binary Trigger for FN SCAR is $500. Franklin Armory is anticipating that they’ll be shipping the SKR-C1 before the end of the first quarter of 2025.

Franklin Armory’s New AR-Essential Binary Trigger for AR Platforms
MINDEN, Nev. – January 17, 2025 – Franklin Armory, Inc., one of America’s most innovative manufacturers of firearms and accessories, announced today the latest model in its Binary Firing System® lineup. The new AR-Essential Binary® trigger for AR-style semiautomatic firearms features a mil-spec style, single sided safety selector paddle for those who prefer a more traditional operational experience.
The new AR-Essential Binary trigger is priced to be a more affordable option to Franklin Armory’s AR-ELITE Binary trigger, which features interchangeable straight and curved trigger bows and includes additional buffer, trigger, and hammer springs for fine tuning. MSRP for AR-Essential is $299.99. MSRP for AR-ELITE is $429.99.
A lot of us AR owners don’t have the scratch that SCAR owners do, so the lower cost of the AR-Essential trigger is much appreciated. Not that we’ll save that money, we’ll probably just use it on more ammo. But that means more shooting!

“For years, our AR customers have conveyed their appreciation for Binary-equipped complete firearms requiring no installation,” said Franklin Armory President Jay Jacobson. “Now, those who love to plink with 22lr can have the same straight from the factory, high-performance Binary experience with their choice of either a complete F22 Pistol or F22 Rifle.”
Okay, I have to admit I saved the F22s for last because this is honestly the one I’m most psyched about. I love shooting .22s, and I grew up shooting 10/22s. I’ve been thinking about a binary trigger for one of my 10/22s for ages, but honestly could never decide what configuration I wanted to do. I’d seriously been looking at something a lot like the F22 pistol though. With its 8-inch barrel and folding brace, and the addition of a Binary trigger, it makes for a super cool poor mans SMG. It’s not really auto, but it’s going to be fast and it’s going to be fun. The best part is I can actually afford to shoot it since it’s chambered in .22 LR.
Keep an eye out for more SHOT show coverage this week. I’m sure you’ll be seeing more on the new products from Franklin Armory.

You’re at SHOT and the first thing you can find to write about is a toy that was written about a few days ago? Really? Jesus wept.
awwww…don’t give him a hard time, he needs to do that to get his free stuff from them.
😄
what i want is to be able to buy osprey piston kits. I spoke to them years ago, after Franklin bought them and they said they were working on them and still nothing. it’s the softest recoiling kit and works on barrels with bigger gas blocks than .75. need one for heavy barrel.
if they were still working on them and not available and you don’t have one, how do you know its the softest recoiling?
I’ve bought them before, and built several already. Compared to Adams arms with same gas length, same muzzle brake, buffer and buffer spring, ops 416/418/420 recoil softer.
ahhhh
I’d forget to hit the safety before I released the trigger.
Full auto.
The Second Amendment wasn’t written to protect firearms used for hunting.
So Army general 4 star Milley, wanted the justice department to go after civilians who form their own militias.
He thinks law abiding citizens who organize themselves into groups are a threat??
And the “gun community” keeps telling me there is no reason, why a private citizen should have machine guns.

I remember when Clinton was prez the system wanted to ban camouflage clothing.
For every 15 people in a militia 5 of them where undercover FBI agents.
It was easy to spot them, they were the ones trying to get everyone else to firebomb buildings while wearing camouflage white sheets and waving Nazi flags.
You think they have changed since the Klinton days? Just remember, its only the very senior upper management that is corrupt. ALLL the lower rankers are just ordinary friendly neighborhood policemen (just following orders donchaknow).
Und vee haf our orders
Machine guns are individual level arms. If we are talking civilian militia mortars, various anti tank weapons, and portable artillery should be on the table.
A “machinegun” is a crew served weapon (a community weapon). An automatic rifle (M4, AK, M14 or StG44) is large useless tactically/learn to shoot straight.
“Spray and pray” is not effective and is not logistically supportable except by a wealthy nation-state that doesn’t give a hoot.
My experience with the M249 and M240 would suggest your assessment is flawed at best. Now medium machine guns and up yes generally crew served. As to spray and pray being useless lol yeah a lot of close quarters engagements and room clearing would say otherwise even before we get to suppressive fire and basic fire and maneuver. Will probably take another 20 years for the old thought on full auto to die out and the new/older lessons to be relearned and put back in use.
Milley’s recently erected portrait in the hall of generals at the pentagon has been removed on the orders of President Trump. The workers were told to make the wall look as if it had never been there.
Good General Milley is a traitor to the USA. He should face a court martial.
Some creative JAG should be able to find something in the UMJ to recall the SOB to active duty to face charges. I’ll assert (guess) that OBidens BS pardon was not properly drafted to cover the UMJ.
Dang, 4 new products but nothing worth buying except for the essentials trigger.
