“Personally, I’ve begun to feel that my Second Amendment rights are being violated. I was promised the right to a well-regulated militia, and instead I see a nation that falls victim, week after week, body after body, to a series of unstable people with elaborately hoarded arsenals. I am absolutely sure our founders would be appalled. I am absolutely sure that our founders would not wish that we run out and buy even more guns because of it.” – Tess Tayor in Do we love our guns more than our children [via cnn.com]

  1. Personally, Iā€™ve felt for a long time that our society has stopped incarcerating and punishing dangerous individuals and have labeled the foundation of our society dangerous.

    • “our society has stopped incarcerating and punishing dangerous individuals (WHO) have labeled the foundation of our society (AS) dangerous.”
There. Fixed it for ya. šŸ¤

    • What idiots, like this woman, don’t understand is that it is NOT about how many guns an individual owns or even about guns at all, this whole dilemma we are experiencing is due to government not exacting strict punishment on those who insist on committing crimes (like the three scumbag basketball players who were brought home and are not being punished, but are being “idolized”), as well as government insisting on allowing “immigrants” who do NOT have the proper ideology (an ideology consistent with our Constitution), to invade this nation and create chaos. ANYONE who is naturalized should NOT have the right to vote, AND if they commit a felony should immediately have their citizenship revoked and be deported, unless it is a violent act (murder, rape, pedophilia), then they should be executed (once convicted), AND if they become dependent on taxpayer funded assistance (pell grants, welfare, food stamps, etc.), after one year, if they are not off of that assistance they need to have their citizenship revoked and be deported! First offending illegals need to be deported (with their “anchor” kids, second time offenders need to be incarcerated and worked on farms to pay for their incarceration, then deported, third time offenders executed! This would end 99% of our problems.

      • Agree 100% only i can make your point even simpler for those who couldn’t seem to understand yours. How about 1 word? ACCOUNTABILITY!!! There is none whatsoever for anyone who has money or who can be used as a vehicle for the left agenda push. When these scum finally are truly punished, we can then have justice and fairness.

  2. I’m pretty sure the founders didn’t think it was the government’s place to tell you what to do with your personal life at all. They were totally different from today’s politicians.

    • If we are going to be big concerned about what the founders would want today, how do you s’pose they would feel about buying more black men and women? How about we leave this kind of idiocy alone.

  3. I do wonder if this silly child can actually walk and chew gum at the same time… and why she thinks anyone rational would give a rat’s ass what she thinks. Or how in the world she has any clue at all what the “founders” wanted or would understand, since she obviously skipped any real education, at least so far. I can guarantee she never read the Federalist or anti-federalist papers, Lysander Spooner, a thousand others. Not a word.

  4. First, you were not promised a well regulated militia.

Second, during the time of the framers, the phrase “well regulated” meant properly functioning. An example is the term “regular as clockwork”.

Third, when the framers were referring to a free state, they were not talking about states on a map. They were referring to the state of being free.

Fourth, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”.

Fifth, What part of “…right of the people…” and “…shall not be infringed” do you not understand?

    • ” An example is the term ā€œregular as clockworkā€. ”

Interestingly enough, if you look at books about ‘tall clocks’ (grandfather clocks) in the 1700s, the name of the nut on the bottom of the pendulum that is used to adjust the clock’s speed (by moving the pendulum up or down) is the “regulator”…

    – Thomas Jefferson, Commonplace Book (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria), 1774-1776

    Any other questions woman?

    • There are an awful lot of quotes in there that we need to be both armed AND disciplined. I would argue that while many of us are armed, not all of us are disciplined. I don’t think the framers wanted every knucklehead to buy bucketloads of guns. “Well-regulated” does indeed mean “in good working order.” Do any of you actually believe our militia is in good working order?

I would further posit that if we were required to muster and train with our neighbors on a regular basis, might it not foster a sense of community and responsibility? Might it not help us connect with those on the fringe? Might it not help identify those who are suffering mentally and get them some help before it’s too late? “Gee, did you notice George on Saturday? Is something going on with him?”

In order for our militia to be well-regulated, the guns aren’t the only things that need to be in good working order. The people do too.

      • Great argument but it falls apart at two points.
        1. All volunteer Army. The founders never provided for a standing army. One can argue that their thoughts on the militia meant conscription but I think it meant an all volunteer force like we have.
        2. Going to the system you propose would require a ship load of legislative and institutional gymnastics. NFA must be repealed along with nearly every bit of civilian gun control and we would have to totally revamp our military structure in order to be able to train and equip a much more spread out military. We barely have enough Drill Sergeants to train recruits as it is and should we go to such a spread out system we really would have little other choice than to use the new Training Assistance Brigades and Green Berets to ensure every little militia group is trained. Then we run into the issue of militia unit specialization and communication between the groups, in 1776 it was a little easier because the fighting occurred in smaller battle spaces with troops tightly formed on each side, but with fire a maneuver being the order of the day communication break downs between the Kentucky 35th Infantry and the California 69th Armor could prove disastrous.

        • OK so let’s actually talk about reality here.

          First, a few facts.

Who is the militia? It falls into two groups. The National Guard and Naval Militia are the “organized militia” while every male age 17-45 who are “able bodied” is the “unorganized militia” this is US law under 10 U.S. Code Ā§ 246. If you bother to read the language it doesn’t bar volunteers outside that group. What the law actually means is that “able bodied men 17-45 can be conscripted”. Others may volunteer but those who fall under the listed categories have no choice and can be pushed into service.

Now, we know from historical precedent that these folks are not the only ones who can be in “the militia”. While the militia code was made law in 1956 to codify the whole situation we had civilian militias on the West Coast in the 1940’s when it was fear the Japanese might invade. In some cases housewives were issues Thompson M1928A1 and M1928M1A1 sub guns and taught to use them. Some of these fine ladies were also issued grenades. These folks were allowed to keep such weapons in their home to spread them out and prevent a depot from being lost and depriving them of weapons. We learned a thing or two from Lexington and Concord.

So the training issues can be overcome and US law explicitly states that one not need be an “official” member of anything to be in the militia.

But none of that matters. The 2A is explicit when it says “…the right of the people language which has now been cemented as an individual right by the SCOTUS.

Academic arguments have a place: in academia.

      • While I agree that mustering and training with the neighbors would probably be a good thing, I would also point out that with over 100 million gun owners and over 300 million guns in this country, we are apparently doing a decent job of self-regulating as it is. Each year, approximately 99.99% of gun owners do not murder anyone.

      • “I would further posit that if we were required to muster and train with our neighbors on a regular basis, might it not foster a sense of community and responsibility?”

You mean the guy a couple doors down that still has the Bernie sign out in his front yard, from well over a year ago?

      • Given a legally armed population of 100M and 10K murders by firearms (w/ 8K being from the very slim gang population segment) I would say the remaining 99.9999% of the population shows a remarkable level of discipline.

        • Well, if those bangers were forced to muster one Saturday a month and train with their fellow neighbors, it would likely instill that sense of community they’re missing, and might make them think twice before shooting at rival gang members. If nothing else, maybe they’d learn not to hold their gats sideways.

        • If we could get said ganbangers to muster in one area at any given time, I think I can come up with a much more permanent solution to our criminal homicide problem.

      • I agree that discipline is important. To that end, I propose that every school district should have access to a Basic Firearm Handling course. (School districts without the resources for such a course may be able to team up with nearby school districts to ensure every student has an opportunity to attend). Such a course would cover handling, firing, and cleaning various firearms (pistol, rifle, shotgun), with a focus on safety and awareness at all times. Not only will this help if the students someday decide to purchase firearms of their own, but people simply learning to be aware of their surroundings would improve society greatly.

Such a course should be required for graduation, while allowing for religious or medical exceptions if needed.

      • ” I donā€™t think the framers wanted every knucklehead to buy bucketloads of guns. ā€œWell-regulatedā€ does indeed mean ā€œin good working order.ā€ Do any of you actually believe our militia is in good working order?”

First and most obvious, why would anyone care what you think? Seriously, why? Second, reread, 2A does not require or promise a militia at all, but if one ever needed to be formed, the people responding would need the weapons necessary to “regulate” it in order for it to be “well regulated”.

    • Of course let’s not forget the words of Noah Webster: ā€œAnother source of power in government is a military force. But this, to be efficient, must be superior to any force that exists among the people, or which they can command: for otherwise this force would be annihilated, on the first exercise of acts of oppression. Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power, and jealousy will instantly inspire the inclination, to resist the execution of a law which appears to them unjust and oppressive.ā€

The well regulated Militia she claims she was promised was ended by the Dick Act of 1903 and replaced with an adjunct arm of the Military, what we know as the “National Guard” thus Federalizing them. Which kinda defeats the purpose of a State Militia. https://publiushuldah.wordpress.com/2016/05/10/get-your-state-militia-revitalized-before-its-too-late/

    • She spelled it correctly in her article. We can at least give her credit for that.

As to her [apparent] PTSD, she clearly still needs professional help.

    • And probably with a degree in journalism to boot. Shameful the depths the sheeple have sunk to, is it not? The phrase; “educated idiot” comes to mind…

      • Bic lighter = MSR
Wood matches = dad’s bolt action
        Flint&steel = muzzle loader
Magnifying glass = green renewable energy electronic primer ignition rifle with no future in the US market but nice try anyway.
        šŸ¤

  6. Ah, another person who has never studied history, especially the meaning behind the term “well-regulated militia”. I blame it on the decline of education in America. It used to be that collage degrees meant something.

  7. Founding fathers were white, male, property owners. The notion of giving the vote to ignorant people was directly in contrast with the founding ideals of intelligent discourse through the democratic process. Consequently a constitutional republic was created, eliminating the notion ignorant ā€œmassesā€ would destroy the process.

    • Ignorance is not the reason for the restrictions upon voting. Governments, at their most basic, are just a group of people agreeing to contribute a portion of their resources into a common pool for a certain, agreed upon, common good. Voting is the way to decide how those resources are used. Why would anyone allow someone who did not contribute, and was not even a part of that pool, a voice in deciding how to use those resources?

  8. Personally I feel too many people, like the young lady quoted above, want to turn this nation into a socialist or communist country and give over all of their freedoms to the political figure heads they elect. When you think about it, it’s really sad knowing how many young men and women died throughout our history in order to preserve our sovereignty and way of life against those who would have robbed us of it, multiple dirty wars fought on the frontier, two world wars, and numerous police actions around the world to stop the spread of tyranny all the deaths and suffering just so this woman and her college brainwashed generation could try to turn us into those countries we defeated because of some contrived sense of survivors guilt. Tell ya what sweetheart we didn’t make it to the top of the international food chain through feel good measures and singing kumbaya when tyrants started killing off innocents or setting our homes on fire. We made it here by having the fortitude to stand up and plant those motherfuckers. Centuries ago our founders made this the nation by which all others should be measured, to this day no nation can compare with the opportunity and freedom our citizens are given at birth.
Evil men will always exist and they will always do evil deeds. The tools can and do change but the results are still the same, innocent people are killed, injured, maimed, and disfigured for life. Nothing you or I do will ever change that, but our founders had the good sense to give us the choice of going armed so we could at least try to counter the threat posed by evil men. What you propose would ensure a near permanent imbalance of power in favor of evil, which I’m sure you don’t want.
You can continue to blame the tools used and you can continue to fight for your communist paradise where instead of equal opportunity we all face equal results (poverty, starvation, and death) with none of the rights and freedoms guaranteed in our founding documents. Just be aware the good people of this nation will not stand with you. There will come a day when the average American sees you for what you really are and when that day comes may the good Lord have mercy upon you because the American people sure as hell won’t.

  9. “This is a country of hunters and sportsmen, my family included. I cannot foresee an America without guns. I can imagine an America…”

Where self-defense is illegal, just like England.

The Second Amendment ain’t hardly about sports.

  10. Click Bait…Come on TTAG you can do us better than this. If this is all you can find time to inform your readers with you need new writers/editors or maybe a log vacation to realville. We care not about these snowflakes with uneducated opinions. Give us something worth our time.

    • You clicked.
      You read.
      You commented.

You COULD have been picking your nose, instead, but you decided this article was important enough to click, read, comment.

And TTAG gets credit for ad views, because you clicked, read, commented.

Protip: If you think it’s clickbait, don’t click.

    • Well Mr. Darkman, Here we are in an ‘echo chamber’. Most that read this blog regularly think, write, and speak out similarly. It is good that articles published by the undereducated useful idiots are reproduced here. It permits us to know and to try to understand what they are thinking and doing. Our actions, opinions, and writings can therefore be applied more directly to whence they might do the most good for our cause.

      • Just looking for a little more than the low hanging fruit. This snowflake’s calling is a poet. Give me a F#@KING break. With all the truly dangerous Anti 2A people out there. We need to focus on the real dangers. This is like watching the cubs while the lion sneaks up behind you. Failure to focus on the real dangers get you killed or in our case your Rights Bled Away One Drop At A time. Us that regularly comment on this site know who we are. See each others posts all the time. We can’t ever be comfortable preaching to the choir(US). While the danger is just outside the door. Focus on the real danger…Not the fluffy filling.

        • In a vacuum, this filthy, Liberal Terroristā„¢ isnā€™t a threat to liberty, per se. But that itā€™s prominently on display by CNN, a very well read ā€œnewsā€ organization for those that donā€™t know any better, is what makes it dangerous.

        • Every enemy of the 2A is dangerous. Never discount them, even the poets. These people vote, some even contact their elected officials. Their offspring are being taught to be aniti freedom also.

  11. Yes, I love my guns and my freedom more than I love her children. I feel pity for her children. Maybe even a little sorrow.

    But love?

  12. Gotta love articles where the whole premise is based on a false equivalency. I guess this passes as “hard-hitting” journalism in some circles.

  13. Honest question here. Why in the blue cotton-tailed blue berry flavored fuck do the folks trying to turn this nation into Soviet Russia circa 1969 constantly try to use our founding fathers as a lynch pin in their arguments?
Seriously shouldn’t they be spouting off about how wrong they were when they thought up this form of government and going on with their guilt trip from there?

  14. ā€œArms, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to a well regulated militia shall not be infringed.ā€

    – The Second Amendment according to Tess Taylor

  15. “. . . according to the Journal of TRAUMA Injury, Infection, and Critical Care, 87% of children killed by guns are killed here. Think of it: across the world, 87% of the children killed by guns are killed here, in our country.”

Except that the provided link shows that to be a complete misrepresentation. What a surprise….
“The most striking statistic: 87 percent of children killed by guns in 23 of the world’s most developed, wealthiest countries were Americans.”
    https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2015/12/4/9851102/gun-deaths-us-children

  16. Obviously, this just another delusional self-appointed potentate…Where she is the font of all knowledge….Been there done that….Next…Any more 2nd amendment reforms….Haven’t seen any in my state yet… And most recently, a Representative in my state exclaimed that the 2nd amendment is just a “privilege” issued by the police and the state…Nothing more….Still waiting for reforms…

  17. I’d bet the Founding Fathers would be more appalled at a culture that generates over 600,000 abortions every year!

    Happy Motoring, Mark

  18. Well. Then I guess she needs to read a little more on the founders. Maybe the federalist papers or Jefferson’s letters?

I doubt very seriously the founder’s solution to people murdering others is disarming the public.

  19. Actually, our Founders would want us to literally kill ALL those that seek to disarm the citezenry while undermining our Constitution.

  20. I personally would love to start or join a local militia. But last time I checked they always get investigated and raided by the FBI for some nonsense reason or another. (And sometimes legit)

  21. No problem…let’s also look at birthright citizenship…voter IDs…drafting females…etc etc etc while we are at it. OK?

  22. I miss the good old days, when men were men and drooling idiots were either institutionalized or kept locked away in the attic.

  23. I think our founding fathers were also aware of the dangers of Indian attacks on the frontiers of the colonies and wanted the citizens to be able to protect themselves.

  24. “The Founders Want Us to Stop Buying More Guns: Quote of the Day”

Really…??? You talked to them…??? If so, then you have psychological problems…but afterall, liberalism IS a mental disorder…

  25. Tess, how about you keep your mind out of my business? Stay out of my bedroom and out of my gunsafe. I am the law-abiding guy who never makes the news. I am a taxpayer and a patriot. Stop trying to control me.

Or, if you genuinely need to control good people, at least be honest enough to speak frankly about it.

  26. If our nation’s founding fathers came back to life I’m quite sure that they’d be appalled, but not by my freedom to ‘elaborately hoard an arsenal’. They’d be appalled at Washington DC. They’d be appalled that most representatives never see their home districts until election time. They’d be appalled at the bloated bureaucracies establishing and enforcing laws without explicit congressional approval. They’d be appalled by civil asset forfeiture, no knock raids, our foreign entanglements, politicians placing party over country. They’d be appalled that we’ve let the government replace fathers and kill nearly a million infants every year because we can’t be bothered to raise them. They’d be appalled that we don’t go to church anymore. But my arsenal, no, they would not be appalled in the least. In fact I think they’d immediately start their own.

    • I gotta agree Gov. they would be appalled especially seeing the developments in technology. There’s no excuse to never go back to your district and talk to your voters when a plane can get you there in less than a day. They’d never comprehend how one could turn politics into a career especially when one accomplishes nothing. They would recoil in horror over what passes for critical thinking skills these days. I do however hope that should they come back to life they’d at least visit my humble arsenal for a beer and a few 1000 rounds of familiarization fire with all the new gun designs they missed out on so that I could ask them every question I’ve ever had about what they intended this nation to be.

      • I’d be happy to spring for a few beers, but if we’re going to the range the founding fathers are chipping in for am mo. (Probably should hit the range before the beer.)

        • For actual first hand info of why they wrote what they wrote, why they chose to take on the most powerful military in the world with a bunch of farmers and Frenchmen, and what they think of the nation now dude it’d be worth the money lost on the alcoholic beverages they ask for, the ammo they burned through before we started drinking, the tobacco they used, and the food they ate.

        • If you feed the founding fathers the swill that passes for beer in the US these days, you deserve to get the ever living shit smacked out of you by some irate statesmen. The only proper drink for a founding father is a good American rye whiskey, or failing that some good imported scotch from the people who tried to give the English the taste of boot leather just prior to the fathers’ own (much more successful) revolution. It’s a pity that modern Scotland has far more in common with the 1950s Soviet Union than it does with the Scotland of the 1750s. At least back then, they knew how to stand up to tyranny.

  27. Ah, well, here’s a project for Tess of the Durbervilles, there: make the world you would like to live in. (“We are the change we want to see.” is self aggrandizing solipsism, and look how many people buy it, still.) Go make a better militia.

It’s nobody’s job to give you the militia you imagine, any more than we owe you a pony.

The U S constitution organizes how we’ll govern ourselves: that’s what “republic” means. There is no “they” making the decisions or delivering stuff. “They” is “us.”

The U S constitution isn’t a lyric fantasy of what the world “should” be. It’s mostly negative rights and operating protocols because government is a dangerously powerful tool, we won’t agree on a lot, and most things are none of each others’ business.

Utopian dreams tend to make Mugabi’s, until they’re finally deposed. The Soviet constitution was a breathtaking picture of the ideal world they’d make. The sketched utopia always implies “By any means necessary.” and it turns out none of the wonder comes to be, while the means are realized and they suck. The Soviets had The Gulag Archipelago, among other things.

If you can’t fit what you want into federal compulsion, maybe try another way. Or show us how to make better militia, n get us on board. When most schemes hit reality, they don’t work.

“Solving” a “problem” for real is hard. Taking guns away from the bad people you take them from good people too; bad people get them anyway; and your removal machine has its own problems. How do you fix the militia without keeping Cajun boats from coming to Texas? How many people you willing to drown?

Every time something bad happens, we hear the chorus of “Something must be done!” How about something useful? Doable? More good than harm? Really all those things, not imagined.

The rest of us aren’t evil, we’re dumb. We don’t know how to get you your pony without making a bigger mess. That’s probably a good way to think about imaginary schemes. They’re ponies. They’re cute at a distance, but have you seen what comes out of them? … and it never stops.

      • Thank you for the kind words, Ing.

Sam I Am wondered the other day whether I’ve been reading 1850s Americana. It’s not that, it’s Orwell, I think. I had Orwell on the brain the other week, recommending Politics and The English Language to a colleague. In an odd way he writes in similar tone to the century before. He’s an heir to Twain’s essays, I think.

Do use anything that’s useful. It’s a complement, and thanks again.

  28. And some wonder why women did not have the vote when this country was founded.

The CNN screed is devoid of facts, logic, or any reasoning skills. Hype the emotions, nothing more. Policy by emotion. Yeah, that works great.

    • One of the reasons I would argue the franchise should be restricted to property owning heads of households. Not all women allow their emotions to overcome their rational thought, but when you rely on others to take care of you and yours, it is a far more common failing.

      • “One of the reasons I would argue the franchise should be restricted to property owning heads of households.”

When you do that, you give the “have nots” some powerful motivation to bump off those who “have”.

It’s a shitty way to have to live when you are *always* looking over your shoulder, Serge.

(Meaning, much more than one already does, day-to-day.)

The current system gives ’em the illusion they have some control…

        • The current system gives them more control than they deserve. I prefer looking over my shoulder for random rabble than for politicians backed by random rabble.

  29. Seems to address her concerns, she needs to be drafted into “the militia” and given extensive training in the combat arms. Once training is completed, and she qualities, she should be assigned as a guard at her son’s school.

  30. These idiots can piss up a rope.
They are every thing they claim to be against, and are so stupid, dishonest, or both,
to know or admit it, even to themselves.

    • Whenever I read these pieces where some ostensibly educated person drones on about their constitutional right to feel safe, to a strict gun control regime, or health care, or education, or housing, or to be free from offensive speech, I have to give my head a shake. Are they reading a different version of the Constitution from the one I know?

  31. The well regulated militia included women. It wasnā€™t a choice it was a responsibility. Go ahead reinterpret history. When your right to vote is taken away you will scream, ā€œHey!ā€

    • Yeah, right. Bundy is just now being tried, 3 years (mostly in jail) after requesting a *SPEEDY* trial (specifically guaranteed by the constitution). The case should be dismissed and the prosecuting agency subject to prison time themselves for so blatantly violating his constitutional rights. But it’s not going to happen, because government is out of control.

  32. Anyone who gets their news from CNN,MSNBC,CBS,ABC,NYT or any other liberal media (sic) source is already a lost soul to the life blood of freedom. We will NEVER regain control of Freedom in this country at the ballot box. That battle is long ago lost. Freedom will require the Blood of Tyrants and Patriots in order to revive the dying branches of freedom. If you search your heart and are honest with yourself you’ll know this is true. Hoping and Faith that it will happen are just words people use when they don’t have the courage or desire to do what’s hard. I’m getting to be an old man and have seen a lot of B#ll5hit in my life. I worry little about the life I have left. My concern is for the lives of the children who have no dog in the fight but will have to suffer the consequences of our failure because we are to busy fighting among-st ourselves.

  33. So close, and yet so far.

Key point: it’s not a right if the state has to give it to you. Rather, it’s a benefit; an obligation you’re placing on someone else. We were all promised that our federal and state governments would foster a well-regulated militia, and they have been failing to deliver on that Constitutional obligation for nearly 200 years now.

In fact, some of them have gone so far as to cripple the very thing that makes a militia possible, which is the right of the people (not the government) to keep and bear arms.

As for the false dilemma the article sets up, here’s how I dispose of it.

I love guns, but I love my children more. More than anything, in fact. Which is is why I have both children AND guns. My guns help me keep my children safe. And because I love my children and want them to know how to protect themselves, I’ve taught them how to be safe with guns and use them effectively.

Does Miss Tess Tayor love her children (if she has any) enough to do that for them?

  34. To claim that you know what the founders want/wanted shows how little you have studied our history and the writings of those same founders. Yes, they would be turning in their graves….. At how we have allowed the federal govt. to run out of control, how the rich and powerful are not held to the same judicial standard as the poor are, how political parties are clubs for the rich and famous and outsiders need not apply, I could go on and on. What they would NOT want us to do is stop buying guns and ammo as it is the last resort of taking back what rightfully belongs to the people and not to the elitists!!!

  35. The founders didn’t believe in British-style law enforcement that we later adopted. They thought that any able-bodied adult male was considered to be in a militia. But hey, they don’t teach history, our Constitution, or critical thinking in schools and journalists are lazy and have more in common with activists than their namesake.

  36. Little Tess’e Poo should spend a little time reading through the Federalist Papers. I’ll bet she’d be absolutely amazed at how much you can learn when you study the history of the country you live in. šŸ˜

  37. The more women who spout nonsense like this, the more people will agree with me that the 19th Amendment was a big mistake.

This has been a year for watching large numbers of females spout incredibly stupid nonsense in the political sphere. We started the year with the “Women’s March,” in which many women showed up with representations of labia around their faces or bodies, and yet called them “vaginas,” proving that many women don’t even know their own physiology.

Then we’ve had one episode of Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and members of the Female & Black Congressional Caucus spout nonsensical, conspiratorial and solipsistic gibberish nearly non–stop. Then, let’s consider all the Twitter-verse females who claim that they’re under psychiatric care because of Trump being in the White House. We also have the Grade-A lunacy that emanates from the women who won the genetic lottery and “work” in Hollywood, pretending to be someone else for vast sums of money. Kathy Griffin, take a bow, you’re Exhibit ‘A’ for my case.

It’s obvious that a very large plurality (at least) of American females cannot handle the strain of engaging in politics, policy or economics, never mind sustain the effort of informing themselves on a topic before they start hectoring the electorate with unsolicited advice. Then, when men start to debate these uninformed females spouting malformed opinions, these women start bellering about “mansplaining.”

Sigh. Well, yes, I’m a man who does some research before I spout off on issues of politics, policy and economics, and as such I often have to correct the illogical and ill-informed opinions of women. Yes, I will interrupt you women to do so – I’m a busy man, and I haven’t the time to listen to you go on and on and on down a rhetorical road leading to Nonsenseville.

To answer a question Hillary Clinton once implied: “Did you expect me to just stay at home and bake cookies?” – Well, yes, I do wish she would, because that would seem to cause Hillary fewer health problems. At long last, I think it’s time to give the poor dears a rest. Let’s repeal the 19th Amendment, and relieve women of the burden of trying to successfully involve themselves in politics, policy, economics or lawmaking.

BTW, tying this back to RKBA and shooting sports, the first pro female shooter in America, Annie Oakley, agreed with me on this one.

    • ā€œfemales cannot handle the strain of engaging in politics, policy or economicsā€. Letā€™s not forget, women were made to be companions for men. Nothing more. Their reproductive responsibilities? They were given a hole. And most canā€™t even use that right.

    • Debasing the opinions of all American women based on this poor specimen makes about as much sense as believing that “Mike The Gun Guy” can be relied on to represent the views of gun onwners.

      • As I made clear in my posting, it isn’t about this one female. I don’t see how you could have missed the other examples, unless of course, you have a reading comprehension issue.

I’ve come to this conclusion progressively over the years. The “Women’s March” this past January sealed the deal. That wasn’t a small number of women, and it wasn’t a footnote of stupidity.

If there were men spouting nonsense as stupid as what those women were this past January, and prancing around in big penis costumes while they did it.. I’d lay an axe handle upside their head. Women do no such thing, allowing the crazies to represent themselves as speaking for the whole of the female population.

Always, always remember: To the left, silence is assent.

    • Your rant against women would be a lot more forceful if not for the fact that men (in general) are just as ignorant.

I’m just saying, if you’re going to use general incompetence to deny voting privileges, it wouldn’t be limited to one gender.

      • Show me a demonstration of men in Washington DC where they not only spout weapons-grade stupidity, but dance around in oversized penis costumes while they do it.

Or a protest where men go marching down a street, nude, swingin’ in the breeze to attract attention.

I’m afraid I don’t have any equivalence for a female TV anchor wearing tampons as earrings while spouting off about “women’s issues”; if you think of one, let me know.

It’s time for women to own up to the fact that, yes, their protestors who claim to represent women on “women’s issues” are quantifiably more stupid than men. Period, full stop, end of discussion.

        • I saw a bunch of white men with tiki torches march on Charlottesville while chanting dumb slogans that expressed the belief that God somehow made them better than blacks and jews.

          Does that count?

        • Sounds like the issue is less about women in general and more about “women’s issues” protests.

Believe it or not, there are quite a few females who would agree with you on how ridiculous some of those are.

I’m just saying there are some women I know whose judgement I would trust over that of some men I know.

  38. I own horses, I have Grand children, I teach my grand children safety around horses. I own Circular saws I teach them safety around circular saws. The one who is driving now I have helped his Mom and Dad teach about vehicle safety.
Thunderstorms, tornado, snakes, hammers and a long list of things that can harm or kill them.
I have taught a son to shoot, and two grandson’s to shoot as well as safety around Guns.
I teach them safety with knives.
You see Ma’am I don’t just let children run naked through danger and take the time to teach them how to be safe, reliable and to not commit Murder.
I teach the children around me I don’t wait till they find something they do not know about and then scream shrill and scared to stay away from the bad old (_____________________) “insert perceived dangerous child killing device” nor do I wait for the paid propaganda purveyors in their schools to teach them.
I am a real Parent non helicopter hands on and attentive.
    Not a snowflake.

  39. The Founders wrote the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and they wrote the Constitution in 1788. The Constitution of 1788 provided for the organization of the States’ militias and Congress’ authority over them and appointment of officers.
The Founders such as Patrick Henry did not think the Constitution of 1788 provided adequate safeguards for freedom. A great fear that was expressed was that a Select Militia, wearing a uniform and paid by the government could be turned against the People.
The Second Amendment was written to amend the failure of the Constitution and guarantee the right and ability of the People to form true citizen militias .
A paraphrasing of the amendment might help people understand what was intended in 1789.
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state?
“[Well yes, the National Guard is the feared Select Militia, therefore]
“The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

  40. TESS, you do whats right for your family. Don’t tell me whats best for mine! I’ll blow away anyone the threatens my life or that of my loved ones. It is my “GOD GIVEN RIGHT”

  41. Liberalism has no cure, same as stupid.
Definitions Liberals can’t define, Illegal, Latin; Illegalis:Not according to the law, a person
present in a country (United States) without official authorization, forbidden by law.
They all have never read the constitution because they would see that the 2nd. Amendment give the protection to the first as well as the constitution as a whole. They always come after the people or groups that support our ritghts given to us by the constitution and 2nd. amendment. We have found that you can’t control or legislate against “EVIL PEOPLE” This is impossible, we can’t read the mines of evil doers.
Let us pray that we can make America Great with the help of good Americans like ourselves and Our President Donald Trump.
