Figuring out how to make your firearm stand out among all the other copies available is a tough nut these days, since the advent of the internet means that you’re now competing against pretty much everyone else in the United States. Some people price their guns well under market value to get them to move, others try to make their guns seem “one of a kind” to distinguish them from the rest of the pack. In all my years online I thought I had seen it all … until I stumbled across someone using demonic possession as a selling point . . .

just a guess, but maybe English isn’t his “first” language?
It’s actually not all that hard to distinguish an illiterate native English speaker from a non-native speaker. Native speakers tend to make mistakes about spelling the words the way they hear them (e.g. “paster” in this case, or “its” vs “it’s”, “here” vs “hear” etc), because they learn to speak before they learn to write, and pronunciation is primary for them.
On the other hand, non-native speakers usually learn both at the same time, or learn to write first, and so they would usually make the reverse mistake (i.e. speak the word the way they expect it to sound based on how it’s written). If all you have to go by is writing, then look for improper use of verbs “be” and “have”, especially in relation to tenses.
Basically, native speakers usually mess up the spelling, while non-native speakers usually mess up the grammar.
It also works for languages other than English, at least European ones.
I wonder how much spelling/grammar errors are attributable to all that spell check “help.”

I’m surprised you don’t hear more about haunted guns. Just think about all the Nazi Mausers that came to the US market, Makarovs, Spanish Civil War rifles and pistols, Lugers.. I mean a lot of guns from certain periods probably have some pretty sinister stories to them. I’ve got a Springfield ’03 thats got Tally marks in the stock, and a K98K with the same. Maybe while the pope’s visiting he can bless some of these haunted weapons.
I can one-up you on the tally marks. Met a guy years ago who bought a Chinese Type 53 Mosin with a 5.56 round lodged in the stock. Saw pictures of another guy whose Russian capture K98k had a bunch of dents up and down one side. Out of sheer curiosity he took his M91/30 bayonet and wedged it in a few of the dents. It fit perfectly *shudders*. My own G98/40 has shrapnel damage and the proverbial “blood pitting” around where the shooting hand grips the stock.
Don’t forget the other reason that you don’t hear about haunted guns more:

If it is a war weapon it may be full auto and someone needs to be careful. However; The 2nd Amendment was put into the Constitution so the people could protect themselves from a corrupt government. That is why it says “shall not infringe” so we can have what the government has to prevent a Holocaust. I believe the people should have what the government has including machine guns.
