Anitere Flores Oscar Braynon FL Senators

Florida State Senator Anitere Flores (R-Miami) was a staunch Second Amendment supporter. As state rep, she had a 100 percent rating with the NRA. In 2016, Miami voters sent her to the Florida Senate.  She was expected to be a key vote in the Florida Senate Judiciary Committee in 2017, supporting popular gun law reform legislation. Nope . . .

Flores surprised everyone by being the key vote to kill several gun law reform bills instead of aiding their passage.  From sunshinenews.com:

Steube had a small victory when the Senate Judiciary Committee passed a bill which would allow concealed weapons permit holders to temporarily store their firearms in courthouses, but the victory was only short-lived.

Flores, a key vote on the Judiciary Committee, vowed she wouldn’t support Steube’s 10 other bills, which means they would have virtually no chance of making it onto the Senate floor.

Flores is one of five Republicans and four Democrats on the committee, so if she votes against bills and all Democrats vote in lockstep, Steube’s gun bills would be sent to their graves early.

Second Amendment Supporters are not the only people Senator Anitere Flores has betrayed. Her husband is the latest in line. She has admitted to an affair with Senate Minority Leader Oscar Braynon (above).  From sun-sentinel.com:

Two South Florida state senators went public Tuesday to acknowledge their extramarital affair as the Florida Legislature convened under a cloud of sexual impropriety that has distracted lawmakers for months.

Their statement came after a website posted video purporting to show state Sen. Anitere Flores, R-Miami, entering and leaving an apartment rented by Senate Minority Leader Oscar Braynon, D-Miami Gardens.

Flores was rumored to be considering a run for Mayor of Miami this year. Miami is a heavily Democrat city. It is unknown if Flores’ affair will harm or hurt her chances of being elected Mayor. It is unlikely she would win a Republican primary.

    • ^i agree.
Even though I don’t know what you said.
I live in SWF and CAN’T STAND THAT RHINO.

Just like they say about those that mount scopes on lever action rifles…
I hope there’s a special place in hell for her.

    • Gonna want some context on that edit. I hope no one is censoring comments because their feelings got hurt. I noticed yesterday someone pointed out that Robert got the Leupold pricing wrong and that comment got deleted and the article ammended without a citation. It disappointed me that people I trust can’t admit when they make a mistake and makes me question when the same people censor comments that appear to relate to comments made about their message. Seems heavy handed.

      • This has been a longstanding issue of Robert not handling any sort of criticism well. We’ve had many email exchanges about it, though he’s been better for awhile.

  1. How many female legislators have said one thing on the campaign trail or in some fundraiser, and done another in office on RKBA issues? Start counting them off across the country, and you’ll end up with a pretty long list. Some of them will be here in Wyoming, BTW.

C’mon guys. This is one of the lessons you should have learned in “Being a Man 101.” You should know that you should rarely believe what a woman says. Women will tell you all sorts of things, in all sorts of ways.

No, watch what she does. There’s the truth.

It’s true in politics, it’s true in the workplace, it’s true in marriage, it’s true in a single’s bar.

    • As a local politician, I have worked my tail off to help several women get elected to office. Sometimes successfully, sometimes not. I work with politicians every day, and I can say this much: Women are no more likely to be duplicitous, deceitful or treacherous than men.

Character, or the lack thereof, is not a gender-based trait.

      • I think lying is gender-based, because truth tends to hurt and women generally DON’T WANT to hurt other people.

    • “How many LEGISLATORS have said one thing on the campaign trail or in some fundraiser, and done another in office on RKBA issues?” – Fixed that for you.

I would say I have been lied-to by many more men than women. There are plenty of A-holes of both gender.

    • Now, DG… that’s just not right. People of every “gender” and walk of life can and do lie, for an awful lot of bad reasons. You really think that men (and whatevers) don’t lie, cheat, steal, etc? Politicians come in all “flavors,” and they all want to control everyone else. That’s the real problem.

Did your favorite gun break or something? 🙂

      • No, I just have more experience than most others here in the RKBA issue, and I’ve been at this since Clinton’s AW “Ban” in 1994.

I’ve been lied to more by women on RKBA issues than men since 1994. It’s not even close. All it takes is a shooting with one or more kids involved, and many of the female legislators who claimed to be pro-RKBA buckle to female public opinion. Most women have a fundamental need to be liked, and to be part of “the group.” Their RKBA position will buckle faster than a man’s when the female hate-mobs get ginned up.

Men are used to listening to all manner of emotional outrage and agony aunt acts from women for our entire lives. A screaming throng of females, howling for our head on some issue, or as a result of some perceived slight, is just another day in a long succession of days for most men. I’ve had to listen to enough emotional blackmail and hectoring by women over the RKBA issue for the last 30 years, that I’m not ever going to give one of these females an out on the issue. Ever. Paybacks are a bitch, and mine come with interest.

And no, my favorite gun didn’t break. I just have a lot of work on my plate, and there’s more work literally falling out of the sky right now… well, actually, falling sideways. If the winds blow a little harder, maybe it will become someone else’s problem over to Sundance.

          DG *gets it*.

The split in this country exposed by the last election is *widening*.

Take a look at this frightening tid-bit, brought to us by an ex Google engineer fired for daring to have conservative views in a ‘progressive’ and ‘inclusive’ corporation.

The last 3, 16 thru 19 are particularly eye-opening. This is what we are up against, people :

        • DG! My brother from another mother. I have always found your commentary on any subject to be very similar to my own beliefs. Ergo, you must be a sage.

        • Number 10 on that list is particularly telling. Required self-criticism right out of a Maoist Chinese re-education camp.

        • Geoff, that is some flat out, bone chilling, terrifying stuff in that google lawsuit. It’s just about everything I’ve been saying about these leftists for the past 25+ years, and genuinely believed to be true of them, but secretly hoped that I was just being overly partisan in my criticism.

That Google corporate c̶u̶l̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ cult is scary AF, as the kids say. These people run around envisioning every grave menace imaginable, most of them imaginary, feting themselves for their tolerance, acceptance, righteousness.
Simultaneously, they’re longing, planning, and preparing to visit violence and misery upon anyone whom they deem different. Then these fascists claim a halo by calling themselves antifascist??? Oh, that’s rich!

  3. Poor dear Anita. You’re all done. GTFO, now.

Flores was never pro-gun. She was merely an unprincipled opportunist. Just like Kirsten Gillibrand, who was A-Rated while she represented her district in Congress, but became a vicious anti-gun acolyte of her sugar daddy, Chuck Schumer, when he made her the junior Senator from New York.

  4. Should anyone really be surprised that a Hispanic votes against the interests of real Americans?

She and her children must go back.

  5. Wow, looks like she sells more than her vote to get ahead politically. I hope her poor husband has the sense to get to the doctor to get himself checked because if the Democrats are passing her around his health is at risk.

  6. You know, I always thought she looked like a hussie. You can see the look in her eyes. My guess is she falls out of politics to make a killing in the porn industry.

  7. Is she exchanging sexual favors for anti-gun votes? I ask because since her sudden change to anti-gun seems likely to have something to do with her relationship with the democrat minority leader

  8. She single handedly blocked campus carry and open carry this year
I can only hope that this ends her chance to become mayor of Miami
Even Democrats will have a hard time trusting her to do as she says
We will have to reintroduce these bills (again) next year and get them to the Senate floor for a vote

  9. Thankfully most people in Florida take their 2nd Amendment rights serious…Unlike “Eastern Bloc Communist Authoritarian Police-States “like mine…Where according to Democrat Reps. “The 2nd is NOT a right ! But a barely tolerated privilege! I’m sure the Smart people of FLORIDA will end her political career as sure as SH!T !!! This is why we need term limits, and to remove the profit factor from these people to becoming “long-term Professional Politicians…”

  10. Being the vicious liar that she is. Surprised that she missed the opportunity of using sexual harassment and sexual assault as an excuse. She would be low enough to put her self in the same scenario as the unfortunate women who had to endure this to save her career.

  11. It has been known that Dems at times run as Republicans to get elected and once in office they turn on the constituency. This could just be one more case.
