I don’t know that “censorship” is the best word to use here. Censorship implies prior restraint, and no one is forcing Facebook to do this…it’s a private company.
I don’t particularly like it but it’s their choice, just as it is the choice of other companies such as Ebay, PayPal, etc., to be anti-gun. Free market and all that.

My local indoor range, and I’m not mentioning their name so that FB doesn’t drop their site, is posting (even as of today) the new guns that have come in lately. So I can’t understand why they are stopping one but not others! And they are posting handguns and rifles!

I deleted my Facebook 2 months ago, much to the chagrin of my moronic liberal “friends.” It was the best decision I have made in 2013.
Facebook can drown itself in a bucket of piss for any number of reasons, but this isn’t one of them.
It’s their business, they can be petulant children if they want to.
Wait a minute… *Advertising*, or just a Facebook page? Because just about anybody can have a Facebook page, but an ad is something a little different. Although I guess you could make the case that a giveaway or contest is a form of advertising.
Either way, yet another reason why I am not on Facebook and will never put anything I value (i.e., any part of my life) on that site. Almost every day something reminds me why I’m glad I left that hole three years ago.
As sad as this makes me, if they pull the page of our favorite Quisling, CTD, well, I’d find a smile.
Hate to break it to all of the Facebook haters out there, but we cannot – should not – ignore this medium.
Aside from keeping up with friends, I use Facebook to post pro-gun articles and pictures. It has annoyed some of my more liberal friends, and some of my friends don’t even comment on the posts. However, I know these posts get read – it has generated many discussions – which is the point.
In the effort to defend the RKBA, we need to use every method at our disposal. I may not have convinced all of my friends to go out and get a LTC (yet), but they know that I – a level-headed, tax-paying, contributing member of our society – am not a wingnut, and I’ve no doubt that some of them are looking at gun owners in a different light because of my efforts.
We can post here on TTAG until we’re blue in the face, but until pro-2A material is plastered all over Facebook, Twitter and every editorial page in every local paper (I’ve done that, too) like it was paid advertising, we won’t make a dent in the propaganda spewed by the MSM.
Remember, we need to win every battle. They only need to win one.
Facebook is a dying medium. People are leaving in droves and more importantly, people aren’t joining. The question now is what will replace it.
