Everyday Carry Pocket Dump of the Day – Ron C

Ron, who work in “tactical communications”, shows this as his summer carry compliment. Then again, he writes that when things get cooler, “Not much changes during the winter, except the firearm might change.” Fair enough. Check out all of his current gear at Everyday Carry . . .

Huh. Haven’t seen that clip for the LCR before.

    1. avatar AR says:

Very nice, industrial look. Sort of like Kel-Tec clip on P-pistols. Hip-Grip not part of grip.

    2. avatar Geoff PR says:

Yeah, I’m really liking that clip.

Kinda like a modified ‘Mexican carry’.

But with the long, slow, heavy (yet oh-so-smooth) trigger, a whole lot safer than striker-fired with one in the pipe…

  2. avatar RockOnHellChild says:

I’ve been really looking hard at trading out my LCP for an LCR 9mm…

Looks like Ron has pocket flame thrower (aka, snubby .357.)

    1. avatar Sian says:

I gotta admit, LCR9 has some nice attributes.

      1. avatar RockOnHellChild says:

Yeah, like getting rid of the last non-9mm pistol caliber I own and making the full transition to only 9mm.

        1. avatar jwm says:

9mm is also the cheapest pistol ammo out there other than rimfire.

        2. avatar RockOnHellChild says:

You hit the nail on the head, jwm.

I don’t know why the idea didn’t hit my sooner to try the LCR9 sooner

        3. avatar Geoff PR says:

Any difference is speed-loading with rimless 9 vs. 357?

        4. avatar RockOnHellChild says:

          My LCP is my BUG.

I don’t keep a reload for my BUG, so if I run dry on my primary and my BUG, then I am SOL.

    2. avatar DrewN says:

If you don’t mind clips the 9mm is easily the better choice for most. What they need to do is make the 3″ in .45ACP (though I’d love .44 Special). Even if you’d need to go to a 5 shot capacity, a 3″ LCRx in .45 would be a hoot.

  3. avatar Tile floor says:

Timex ain’t bad, but I dropped a little extra and got the Casio ProTrek. Great watch

  4. avatar Tommy Hobbes says:

Just curious: all the edcs we are shown belong to men. Have any pro Second women submitted their choices for their handbags or, more rarely, pockets?

    1. avatar Silphy says:

I could, if its so desired

      1. avatar Tommy Hobbes says:

        Plz do, you wish.

    2. avatar Swarf says:

      Excellent point, TH.

I think that would be pretty cool.

    3. avatar Leo says:

women clothing rarely has pockets, and when it does, barely usable for phone – one of wifes major complaints

  5. avatar Pro-Liberty says:

Bonus points for the Fisher Space Pen!

  6. avatar Frank in VA says:

When you’ve gone full gray-man, your chapstick has no label.
