Vasaline is petrolatum, distilled from the waxy crap from oil wells. Paraffin wax comes from the same place.
Maybe he has raw, sunburned skin, or maybe he uses it for, *cough*, other purposes *cough*.

Lip balm. W. Texas is very dry. One can go through a stick of chapstick in a couple of days.
I heard there’s gold in that couch… and dog hair (mine’s full of ferret hair).
It’s lip balm , idk perhaps he works out in the sun .
