If you spent yesterday at the range working up a new load or doing just about anything more productive than thumbing your way around the internet, you might have missed the news that Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren — she of the high cheekbones — released the results of a DNA test she took to verify her oft-repeated claim of Native American (Cherokee, to be specific) ancestry. It didn’t go well.

The test revealed that Sen. Fauxcahontas has only .0976% Indian blood in her veins. That’s about half the Native ancestry of the average American of European descent. The Cherokee Nation has told her to finally drop the pathetic ruse and buzz off.

So, against all odds, it turns out that the pale-faced Senator has spoken with forked tongue all these years when claiming minority status in order to get cushy Ivy League teaching jobs and brazenly appropriate some minority cred. Who could possibly have seen that coming?

Well, the President did, for one.

He offered to write a check for $1 million to her favorite charity if she took a DNA test (with some caveats).

But let’s say I’m debating Pocahontas. I promise you I’ll do this: I will take, you know, those little kits they sell on television… learn your heritage!…and in the middle of the debate, when she proclaims that she is of Indian heritage because her mother said she has high cheek bones. That’s her only evidence, her mother said we have high cheek bones. …

We will take that little kit — but we have to do it gently. Because we’re in the #MeToo generation, we have to be very gentle. And we will very gently take that kit, and we will slowly toss it, hoping it doesn’t hit her and injure her arm, even though it only weighs 2 ounces, and we will say: I will give you a million dollars to your favorite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test and it shows you’re an Indian.

Naturally, despite the fact that 1) the test didn’t result from a debate challenge and, 2) the results show she’s less Native American than just about anyone else in the US short of Maizy Hirono, Warren wants the President to cough up heap big wampum.

Predictably, Trump has told her to pound sand. But despite Warren’s failure to meet any of the standards of his original offer, we think he should pay up anyway. Just not to the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, whatever that is. Trump should write a big fat check…to gun rights orgs.

That’s right. First, imagine the PR benefit. The outrage on the anti-gun left would be deliciously deafening. For weeks. And Trump would be able to say that while she utterly failed to prove any meaningful level of Native American ancestry, he’s going to be the bigger person and make good on the “bet.”

Second, the President claims he’s worth almost $3 billion. Writing a check for $1 million wouldn’t make much of a dent in his cash hoard and would more than pay for itself in positive pub among his base. It’s just that kind of big-brass-ones, never-back-down attitude that attracted enough voters to put him in office in the first place.

Third, the CINC hasn’t done himself any favors with the gun rights community lately. While the Kavanaugh confirmation may very well prove to be a good thing for gun rights, Trump’s vow to “write out bump stocks” via regulatory fiat has gun owners and anyone who cares about government overreach more than a little concerned. It would set a terrible precedent that could very well come back to haunt us down the road.

So imagine the good he could do for himself by writing a few checks — in the name of Senator Elizabeth Warren, of course — to some of America’s most prominent gun rights organizations. We’re thinking $250,000 each to the Second Amendment Foundation, Gun Owners of America, National Association for Gun Rights and the NRA.

Did we miss anyone?

  1. Just more evidence that everyone on the left is a massive fraud. I’m less European than Warren and I was born in the Soviet Union.

    • I used to feel sorry for myself because I had no Native American heritage. But then I met Elizabeth Warren…

      • If she does have such low percentage of DNA, from one of the peoples of the Americas, it could possibly be because of rape. People tend to ignore that was a common practice of the Europeans of the day. So it’s not a good idea for a woman so white to claim to be “Native American” when that possible introduction into per bloodline was around the time the Europeans be raping a lot. Heck, they said it isn’t even DNA from the tribes within the U.S.A., it’s from south of the U.S.

I heard Warren wants to run against Trump, which would make sense as to why she brought this out now. It doesn’t help the Democrats for the upcoming elections, but it helps her get past her whiteness issue before 2020, by then people will likely have moved on from it.

It would be cool if Trump didn’t put so much attention on black people. Sure, that can help the Republicans seeing that the black voting block is a powerful one, but the President shouldn’t ignore the most ignored people in America. Fighting with a white woman about how white she looks is kind of messed up when there is American Indians sitting there watching as they continue to be ignored and abused by the government.

Warren will not last long if she plans to run for president because she doesn’t actually care about American Indians, she is just using the label for her benefit as Democrats like to do. American Indians are not exactly like black Americans, they don’t totally have that slave mentality yet. She will find that out real quick like John McCain and Obama did.

        • Here’s a crazy concept for you, there’s no way to know if she has one ancestor from 10 generations ago or 2 from 20, or 4 from 40. That 1/1024th could come from before they even crossed the land bridge into the Americas.

        • Trump should pay up to the charity of her choice, and he should pay the percentage of $1 million that corresponds to her native American heritage. That would be a total of $976.

He should then give the other $999,024 to the pro liberty charity of his choice.

It is a time for magnaminity.

    • My parents on both sides were born in Greece.

My grandparents on both sides were born in Greece.

My great grandparents on both sides were born in Greece.

I may be more native American than chief spreading bull….

    • “I will give you a million dollars to your favorite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test and it shows you’re an Indian.”

She is not an Indian. If she is an Indian, everyone else in the US is Indian too. Even the Cherokee tribe told her to FO. 0.09% is not an Indian. My grandmother was part Indian. Half – or a quarter. But she didn’t even have a birth certificate. Never once did I claim minority status, let alone claim it so I could obtain benefits against everyone else on the basis of race (think racism).

      Elizabeth Warren = liar/ fraud.

    • Nonsense! NC is considered a vital battleground state so…He should donate 1 million to Grass Roots North Carolina. Hey its a stronger argument than fauxahantas’s claim to native american ancestry.

  2. The test revealed that Sen. Fauxcahontas has only .0976% Indian blood in her veins.

Actually, it did no such thing. Read the fine print. In this case, “Indian” includes, indiscriminately, Mexican and Central/South American DNA.

The test explicitly does not identify a Native American cohort in its results.

On the plus side: her results may prove that she is more Mexican than Beto.

    • The tests for Native American DNA are inherently flawed. The tribal nations have specifically forbidden members from submitting to the “exploitation” of their DNA and heritage.

My grandmother researched her family tree clear back to the late 1700’s, but with little records of American Indians from back then, and the lack of DNA evidence, we will never know for sure if what she found in our family is true or not.

      • My family is rather detached. I never met my grandfathers and rarely my grandmothers. I don’t really know any family outside of my immediate family, I don’t even know my grandparents’ names.

I wouldn’t know how to prove anything in such a situation outside of a DNA test. As you said, DNA doesn’t prove you are a member of a particular U.S. tribe, so the government will not accept you under law. So basically, people like me are lost ones, we can only consider ourselves Americans. People like that are not really accepted as American as they are not white or white enough and they are not accepted by one of the tribes because there are laws requiring specific things.

That’s the system the U.S. setup a long time ago and continues today.

    • Only his friends get to call him beto, call him by his name robert francis o’rourke. LOL

I bet half the morons sending him money think he’s hispanic. He’s raise a TON of money and will still lose by 12%.

I think the DNA test didn’t even say she had that tiny amount of north or south as you said, I think it was she may have, so they hedge with that too.

Warren’s lies about being Indian are very LONG. It’s not just a mention or two, she said it over and over and invented fake stories of her past. She claimed her mother and father had to elope because of her mother’s cherokee and delaware indian acestory (his parents wouldn’t allow them to marry) Their wedding party was in their hometown right after the wedding. LOL

      https://twitter.com/bennyjohnson/status/1051892151938887680

She never identified at Indian until she was trying to join the ranks of Ivy League Law prof’s. She started to claim she was Native to get the job at U Penn at a time when there was intense pressure on Ivy Law schools to hire minorities because the faculty was almost 100% white

If anyone followed her campaign in 2012, she is a terrible, terrible campaigner. She has less personality than al gore and that’s nearly impossible

    • “Mexican” is a political, not ethnic, designation, like “American.” There’s really no such thing as Mexican DNA. That said, the people whom we normally think of as being Mexican are people whose ancestry is a mixture of the four major indigenous civilizations of modern day Mexico and Europeans, mostly Spanish. Thus, even within what we call Mexican, or Central and South American, for that matter, that still encompasses Native Americans.

Now, my understanding is that Senator Lies On Applications identifies with the Cherokee people, which would be North America along the southern Atlantic states and much of the Allegheny Mountains, or the reservations of OK. In that specific case, adding in central and south would be misleading as to Cherokee lineage, but not to overall Native Americans.

In any event, with this trace and commonplace evidence, it’s clear that she has no scientific basis whatsoever for claiming anything remotely approaching Native American constitution.

  3. Trump should write a check for 0.0976% of a million dollars ($976), send it to the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, and be done with it.

She will probably run for Pres in 2020. I can only imagine how much fun the Republicans will have with this.

  4. Those “caveats” are exactly why Warren shouldn’t get a dime from Trump. They show that she is less then 1/16 American Indian which is far below the minimum to claim the Indian status. Trump said the million was conditional if she really was an Indian. She’s a liar and a fraud and a democrat which to me at least is no surprise.

      • So my kids can get some racist minority college grants for a 1/1024 of minority DNA?

The Demorats and Leftists are OBSESSED by race.
The last people who were so obsessesd had swastika armbands.

      • I thought all it took was stating “I identify as ____________”. Why would race identification require anything more than gender identification?

      • If .0976% is all it takes to qualify as a ‘minority’, we’re all minorities.

As many people have joked, a lot of us have had more booze in our bloodstreams than Warren has indian DNA.

    • I’m pretty sure the Cherokee don’t require a specific blood quantum for tribal membership. What counts is if you can show direct descent from someone on the Dawes rolls. I know the Choctaw and Chickasaw don’t, but some of the smaller, western tribes do.

  5. If those numbers makes her Native American then I am African American, Asian American, Native American and still over 95% Euro American. I should have applied for those minority scholarships, when I went to college, then I would not have needed to work full time and be a full time student.

    • This is the next extension of the Progressive’s Gender Fluidity theory, where in defiance of biology you can change your gender based on your feelings. There is now Ethnicity Fluidity where your ethnicity can change on your whim, despite those pesky genetics.

The perfect solution to white privilege. You can now be as black as Ali G (one of Sascha Baron Cohen’s characters where he plays a wannabe gangsta who lives in the predominantly white and upper class London suburb of West Staynes).

    • You’d probably have to use the black card. The Asian card will not work and the Native American card doesn’t have much value unless you have a Spanish name.

  6. Cherokee Nation has slammed Warren saying…

“It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven,” he said. “Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.”

  7. Love the fact that they compared her DNA markers to native SOUTH Americans. Peru, Guatamala, Mexico, even at that going back a minimum of 6 generations makes her no more than 1.58 percent “native American” and it might be as many as 10 generations, or .049 percent. She truly deserves the title Lieawatha and the the hashtag #mesouix.

    • American tribes don’t like their members uploading DNA to these sites, since it makes it too easy for ‘outsiders’ to (rightfully) claim tribal standing by blood if they make it over the necessary threshold. This way, only a documented lineage can be used to prove standing. Gotta protect that shrinking pot of lucre.

      • Many peoples do that.

Just because you are born in America doesn’t mean you immediately support what America is supposed to be, but nevertheless you still get to vote as you please. There is laws as to who can hold office and vote.

So the tribes are trying to protect themselves from people who are blood related yet don’t have the tribe’s interest in mind. They are constantly battling internal corruption and the U.S. governments. Plus, each tribe has different legal agreements with the U.S. governments.

  8. As I commented elsewhere, I’d bet you could find that much in Margaret Cho. Every university she has been associated with should sue her for fraud!

  9. Trump, in his usual idiotic way, managed to turn a win into stupidity by lying and denying he made the offer. It’s pathological but his supporters will either ignore the lie or blindly believe it…

    • Careful, Joe. All these commenters are jerking each other off right now. You wouldn’t want to get caught in the crossfire. The Trumptardation rampant in this community is a huge downside to an otherwise decent site.

    • To be fair (and I’m no trump-er my any means), he’s technically right. What he said was that if they were in a presidential debate, that he would/should make that offer. He was discussing a hypothetical. If I’m at a BBQ, watching my friends play horseshoes, and I say to another friend “If I play Todd, I would bet him $10 he won’t get a ringer”. If Todd then walks up to the empty pitch and throws a ringer, despite us never playing a game and me never actually making the bet with him, do I owe him $10? Yiou may say yes, and theres certainly a debate to be had there. But the simple fact is Trump never actually made the bet with her, he just talked about it.

  10. As others have said, no American Indian DNA markers, much less specifically Cherokee, were evidenced by her test.

  11. I fail to see how this has anything to do with firearms or gun-related politics other than the author’s personal pipedream of a frayed connection that will never happen.

Is this a gun website, or a conservative politics website? I can get my mainstream conservatism elsewhere, thank you

    • Just two hours ago on this blog we saw a quote from Claire McCaskill who promises to pass blatantly unconstitutional legislation if the country elects enough Democrats.

There’s no getting around it: Gun rights and partisan politics are inseparable.

    • I don’t see why you’re even here, as the headline clearly described what you would find here, and you clearly stated you have no interest in it.

    • You could connect it with the talk of her running in 2020 for president and how horrible a person she is to exploit Native Americans who were ethnically cleanse by a U.S. soldier’s gun.

Although you are right that it isn’t specifically about guns now, it could easily turn into it in 2020, but you will likely have forgot about this by then, which appears to be her plan.

A lot of politics tie in with guns. Some things don’t appear to immediately be related at first glance. Unfortunately, in this country you have to pay attention to every direction.

Gender politics doesn’t appear to have any relation to the right to keep and bear arms, however, if you know the biological differences between man and woman you can deduce the problems that will arise that relates to guns. Most women, including those that take testosterone, are not for keeping and bearing arms.

With the elections coming up you are going to see more politics than guns. Welcome to current day America. You can’t just go to the range and have a nice day because some politicians are trying to take that away while you are distracted.

  12. Forget the money. Repeal ’34, ’68 and the Hughes amendment to the G.O.P.A. I’m sick and tired of my life being controlled by laws passed by people that lived in another time and a much different country. I never had any say in any of this B.S. Taxation without representation was a good call to action, maybe we need to press that point home again. …Shall not be infringed …all enemies, foreign and domestic…both still apply. -30-

    • This. Every generation should be required to go back through and amend or remove the previous one’s antics. I’ll be more than happy to throw money at whatever organization pushes, and actually pushes, for Hughes repeal, or at least an amnesty for short time to add new items.

  13. When you read the actual report, the first thing that leaps out is why the test was done:
    “Request.
To analyze genetic data from an individual of European descent and determine if there is reliable evidence of Native American and/or African ancestry.“
    https://mk0elizabethwarh5ore.kinstacdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Bustamante_Report_2018.pdf

Right from the start the examiner is told “Hey, do a test and see if this person has Native American in their acestory. We’ll pay you.”

Next is the “Native American” part. The term covers BOTH North and South America. There’s a complication. The DNA samp,es used contained “None are from North America.”
“In the case of Warren’s test, the comparison group consists of just 37 DNA samples of people “from across the Americas with Native American ancestry.” These reference samples come from Colombia, Peru, and Mexico. None are from North America. The reasoning given is that Central and South Americans’ DNA is similar to that of Native North Americans since researchers theorize that the first Americans all came to the Americas from Asia over the Bering Land Bridge.”

Thus, any Native American is really South American. Why no samples from North America?
“The reason there’s no Native American DNA to which Bustamante can compare Warren’s sample is that Native American tribal leaders have explicitly discouraged members from contributing to genetic databases.

“Tribal governments establish regulations that do not use genetic ancestry tests, but other forms of biological and political relationships to define our citizenries,” wrote Kim TallBear, Ph.D., on Monday. TallBear, an associate professor of native studies at the University of Alberta, is the author of the book Native American DNA: Tribal Belonging and the False Promise of Genetic Science. ”

    https://www.inverse.com/article/49902-elizabeth-warren-genetic-test-native-american-ancestry

    • “These reference samples come from Colombia, Peru, and Mexico. None are from North America.”

Not to refute anything you wrote, but last time I checked, Mexico is part of North America.

  14. Imagine the mainstream attacks on a conservative, white male trying to push this BS to further his political career….we’d be hearing stories about how his ancestors benefited from white privilege and likely raped an oppressed, minority squaw.

  15. This makes for a great laugh. My wife says the same thing. Even though all her family are descendants of Western Europe. I can always use some more stories to poke a bit of fun…😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

    • The Left will rabidly defend Warren, but in a couple weeks they will scream about little girls dressing as Disney princesses that dont match their skin color.
Never forget how hypocritical these asshats are.

  16. ” I will give you a million dollars to your favorite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test and it shows you’re an Indian.”
She’s not an Indian, the Cherokee even said as much. So I don’t see him owing a dime

Trump probably has more indian blood than she does

  17. so when conservatives call out facial features unique to each breed, its racist. but when liberals do it to jump on their soapbox…its ok. got it.

  18. So, since she apparently has less native American in her DNA than the average American, should we now call her Paleface?

  19. Golly I got more 1st nation(😏) blood in me(Ojibwa). My French Canadian grandma looked extremely native. Reportedly( by my dad) they “took” a squaw in the 1830’s or 40’s. My wife’s greatgrandma was a full-blooded Choctaw…and NEITHER one of us cares😄Fauxcahontas is full of chit.

    • One of the major opponents of our rights publicly humiliating herself and showing herself to be a massive fraud? Pretty sure that’s relevant.

      • RF was a savvy businessman. When hillary went down in flames he knew that gun control was basically dead down the road. This site would have flourished had hillary not blown her chance.

So RF dummied up a couple of trolls to up the clicks and sold out a ‘successful’ gun site to the first rubes he met. Smart and profitable move on his part.

        • I think Robert saw that we were at peak gun and maximized his sellimg price. I also think he got bored. In the beginning there was a lot of guns to review. Once TTAG caught up it was hard to find new material.

        • Plenty of trolls here without RF having to payroll them himself. The troll bot posts alone are usually easy enough to spot.

    • The truth about Fauxcahontas is that she will lie about taking away our guns to get what she wants, just like she lied about being Native American to get what she wanted.

  20. Give .0976% (less than 1000) to the chairity of her choice, then give the rest of the million to a legit Native American charity under the name Calvin Coolidge or Charles Curtis.

  21. So what we’re saying is that she may be even whiter and guiltier of stolen racial valor than fellow cultural (mis)appropriation star, Beto “can’t say his own Spanish nickname correctly” O’Rourke? I’m shocked. Just utterly shocked.

  22. As an adopted American I have absolutely no idea of my heritage, but being born in Comanche county Oklahoma i should claim Native American status.

  23. 99 and 44/100% pure not Native American. Actually, it 99 and 90/100, but then people would miss the joke. Speaking of missing the joke, i hate that Trump calls her Pocahontas instead of Fauxcahontas. Lieawatha would also be acceptable.

    • I am 100% native American. I was born in SC to two native Americans, one born in Ohio and one in VA. What you think, I’m native French? My kids were both born in TX, are they African? Native American.

  24. It showed she’s 0.01% Indian so Trump should pay out 0.01% of a million bucks. Fair is fair.

Write that $100 check, Mister President.

  25. She reminds me of so many California politicians who were english, then ran for public office, discovered their “Spanish DNA” and switched to a Spanish last name.

    • When I was young, I thought ‘Caucasian with an Hispanic surname’ was the only minority group you could legally join. All you have to do is change your name.

But now, having the same genitalia as 51% of the country makes you a minority, and you can ‘identify’ as any gender you wish.

      • The white homosexuals are very similar. The vast majority of the LGBTQ-,XYZ crowd don’t believe you should have gun civil rights.

They are socialist progressive in their political orientation. They trust government.

  26. She has more banana DNA than Indian DNA.

Banana DNA more than 60 percent identical to human DNA.

Many of the “housekeeping” genes that are necessary for basic cellular function, such as for replicating DNA, controlling the cell cycle, and helping cells divide are shared between many plants (including bananas) and animals.

The overlap exists because we all evolved from a common ancestor, a single-celled organism that lived three or four billion years ago, known as the last universal common ancestor (LUCA).

  27. You know the funniest thing? She could have said “Yeah, fuck it, college admissions are a bitch and I took every advantage I could get” and that would have been the end of it. Trump repeatedly tells the voters he’s a greedy asshole who will say and do anything as long as it benefits him and, well, people don’t care. Warren was stupid to have played this game at all. She’s white as the driven snow.

  28. Isn’t NAGR the ankle biter organization that doesn’t do anything but take money?
At least that’s what I read. Send all the money to SAF and GOA. They are the ones actually suing the gun ban laws.

  29. If you’re going to try to shakedown the President for a $1 million dollar donation have him write it to the only gun rights protector worth it’s salt the NRA. All those other self interest, “here today gone tomorrow” PISS ANT organizations are not worth squat. At slightly less than 1000th of one percent Warren doesn’t qualify for all the perks she has received over the years and should be required to pay them all back. Nothing more, nothing less.

  30. I’ve heard she is pretty low in the totem poles lately.

I’m wondering, if we give her 3 jugs of whiskey, will she give up socialism?

  31. “This sad little lizard told me that he was a brontosaurus on his mother’s side. I did not laugh; people who boast of ancestry often have little else to sustain them. Humoring them costs nothing and adds happiness in a world in which happiness is always in short supply. ”
