We haven’t heard much lately from our old pal, Fermin DeBrabander, but he’s back now, banging out the latest installment of the new smash hit that’s sweeping media nation: civilian gun rights result in violent insurrectionism.

Gun-rights extremists are hardly cowed by the prospect of facing the U.S. military. A popular essay that made the rounds in gun-rights circles a few years back is titled “Armed Revolution Possible, Not So Difficult.” Where on Earth did the author—Bill Bridgewater, the former director of the National Alliance of Stocking Gun Dealers—get this preposterous notion? From the Vietnam War. Bridgewater contends that the North Vietnamese demonstrated how ordinary citizens with little more than assault rifles could topple the world’s most sophisticated army. Never mind the fact that the U.S. lost the war for many complex reasons; for their efforts, the North Vietnamese endured immense suffering.

America’s suburban guerillas have conveniently overlooked the horror that could ensue from armed insurrection. When you inhabit a lawful society, and police and soldiers are constrained by the law—and you are white—it is easy to yell at them threateningly, wave guns in their face, and not fear mortal danger. It is easy, under those circumstances, to be “brave” and call for rebellion (an American tradition), not thinking through what you really ask for.

What our armed insurrectionists ask for—what they have unwittingly sown—is destruction of the rule of law. This is of course deeply ironic, since gun-rights advocates insist that they represent, and bolster, law and order. They’ve never understood that men with assault rifles slung over camouflaged shoulders are the avatar of lawlessness.

    • Seig Heil SS Debrabander…The Fuhrer sends his immediate orders for you to omit the word Civilian and replace it with “Jew.” And from America the Jim Crow democRat Party sends immediate orders for you to omit the word Civilian and replace it with the “N-word.”

Until further notice you are advised that limited Gun Rights shall remain in place for all others who despise, hate and want to exterminate the aforementioned expendables. Seig Heil SS Debrabander.

Right on point however those with blinders firmly in place such as Mr.Virmin Debrabander and his fellow travelers can’t/won’t see and are willing to for go any warning history may have shown clearly.

        • You can either allow those with blinders to drive you over a cliff or you can take the wheel. I did exactly that in my reply to the Pillsbury dough boy faced Debrabander. Either he did not consider his opinion is rooted in racism and genocide or he did consider and assumed no one would notice…And one did. I await his rebuttal which could take days, months or years for him to concoct.

    • Silly me!! I was taught part of the basis of the 2nd Amendment was for purposes of insurrection. You know, to get the people in Washington’s heads straight.

      • “I was taught part of the basis of the 2nd Amendment was for purposes of insurrection.”

Your education is severely lacking. 2A is about providing food. Look at what a mess people made regarding the Second Amendment, 1861-1865. Those yo-yos got it all wrong. They should have been limited to fists, feets and farm implements. Only the Union (standing) Army was authorized firearms for combat. An NFA in 1860 would have made all the difference. If gun control had been better handled back then, things would be different today. Why don’t idiot citizens get it?

  1. Fermin, ha! More like Vermin. What’s up with all these clowns spewing “Insurrection”. Puleez!

Even Pelosi keeps repeating, “The President is guilty of inciting insurrection!”. Whatever. With her dentures clacking around, I swear I thought her say the first time that, “The President is guilty of exciting an erection!”

    Get some PolyGrip.

  2. lol
There is another one that has everything upside down and backwards. A know-nothing that doesn’t care that he knows nothing.

    • +1

I stopped reading the article when I got to the part where he said “if you’re white”. Leftists just can’t resist mentioning ethnic and/or gender aspects, especially if not relevant to the conversation.

      • If they’re right about only white people being allowed to protest and threaten violence in public—the implication being that all people of darker shades would be mowed down by government guns—then the BLM protests, which devolved into violent riots in every major US city, would’ve been bloodbaths.

Instead, they were met by largely ineffective non lethal law enforcement and sometimes virtually none. And the mere rumor of white conservatives gathering in mass protests has the National Guard already preemptively patrolling DC with live ammunition.

Again and as always, if not for lies, the “progressive” left would have nothing at all.

        • “Again and as always, if not for lies, the “progressive” left would have nothing at all.”

There is allegedly an old maxim for prosecutors: “It’s not what I believe, it’s what I can prove.” For Dimwitocrats and their lackeys, the Leftists and media, “It’s not what is true, it is what I can make you believe.”

        • It’s not what is true, it is what I can make you believe.”

Just like “Creepy Uncle” Beijing Joe said “We choose FACTS (their facts) over truth”….

  3. “When you inhabit a lawful society, and police and soldiers are constrained by the law—and you are white—it is easy to yell at them threateningly, wave guns in their face, and not fear mortal danger.”

The white privilege argument didn’t work out too well for Ashli Babbitt, and she wasn’t even armed. Here’s a crazy, radical idea: let’s stop injecting race into a conversation that has nothing to do with race.

  4. Well it’s nice to see that some things never change. Anti-Gun idiots, for instance. Is this the same trash he spewed years ago? He obviously doesn’t know the difference between an AR15 and a M16. while I am sure there are some, I don’t personally know of any armed American who would want to face down military troops. I also doubt the Founding Fathers wanted to face down the British, they did that out of necessity after all peaceful avenues failed. Hopefully we haven’t gotten to that point yet.

  5. I like this new dictionary we’re watching get written in real time.
A coup to take out a president that isn’t president at the time of the coup.
An insurrection that amounts to selfies and shitposting.
A malevolent and powerful dictator controlling a violent army 75+ million strong gets exiled by a handful of nerds.

Toss into the mix all the patriot act haters of 2001/02 coming out in support of a patriot act 2.0 and clown world is so far above it’s last peak the fall will be epic.

  6. “the idea that Americans would need to band together and violently overthrow the government has been the key to establishing and expanding the market for guns.” – Bullshit! More like the fragmentation of the media monopoly pushing gun control and the increasing realization that relying just on the police for protection from dangerous criminals is a poor choice.

  7. “Firmin DeBrabander
Professor of philosophy at the Maryland Institute College of Art.”

Stay in your own lane, Firmin.

  8. With all this talk about insurrection in the aftermath of what happened in DC, it seems, from what I’ve seen or read, the only people that were armed were the Capitol police.

      • That article doesn’t describe anything like the armed war party the media is propagandizing. It describes a handful of zealots arrested for trespassing the capitol. A few carried zip ties (we can infer, but not prove disturbing things from that) and one was arrested for having guns and Molotov cocktails in his truck nearby (these weren’t brought into the capitol building itself, as far as I can tell from the article). The idiots in the article were arrested after the fact because they foolishly posed for photos while trespassing or stealing government property, not for brandishing arms during the event.

It’s not worthwhile to engage with you in a back and forth about “armed” vs. “not armed” and “insurrection” vs. “riot” vs. “mostly peaceful protest.” I’ve already stated explicitly in this forum that mob action is wrong, no matter who is doing it. So I’ll just say this: when the media isn’t lying on purpose, they’re making gross exaggerations and misstatements through incompetence. Citing their work as evidence for your position is like when Joseph Stalin cites Pravda as evidence for his. Maybe you could go fix that plank in your own eye and then come back to fix the speck in ours.

        • I know that I am not alone in noting that the conservative (right) denounces the violence and mob action right away, without being shamed to do so, however the progressive (left) has yet to criticize their own side when they loot and burn. Main stream media never sees this or admits it.

  9. He’s a “Professor of Philosophy” at U of Maryland. In other words he is a parasite feeding at the public trough. I would say to just ignore him but he is a perfect example of the treasonous thinking that infects the communist party.

  10. If this guy and his ilk claim to find Armed Revolution so distasteful and he acknowledges that the North Vietnamese suffered greatly during the war, why do they insist on pushing policies that seem guaranteed to result in actual armed insurrection? I can tell you that even without guns that our infrastructure is vulnerable to any bad actor.

As an example I heat with gas and as an old married couple my wife and I would be in a world of hurt if someone drove a truck through the natural gas interconnect field a couple of miles from my house. The power grid is no less vulnerable and if someone took out both before March I would have to drain the pipes to keep them from freezing and with no water, power, or heat my wife, daughter and I would become refugees until they could get it fixed. Multiply us by however many people get displaced in multiple attacks that could be coordinated just by the news media reporting it. Ask yourself just how well defended are the same utilities around your home, place of work, the metro DC area? What would happen if refugees started clogging the DC area and actual armed insurrectionists used that as cover to move into DC?

These crazy Socialists are tossing gasoline around and playing with matches with no understanding of the world of hurt they threatening to bring down on us all. They think they will “win” and show up all the “Trump nuts” but they are far more likely to loose everything they have gained to date and cause massive suffering for all the rest of us.

    • Actually I would not put it past the left pick a few places and do exactly what you described and then blame it on patriots. This would create a situation where the public would call for drastic measures by the government. Most of the rights they have taken away were asked for by the populace or forced on them after a crisis, a crisis that either they take advantage of, or one that they create and then proclaim they have the solution. That is one reason they are trying so hard to cutoff our communication. If we hear of an attack we would not know if a revolution has started or it is a false flag operation.

    • Put Shire-man’s analysis together with Rusty’s, and we end up with the Keystone Kops playing football with the, er, “football.” We’re all doomed if we don’t think of something.

    • “These crazy Socialists are tossing gasoline around”

No, it was crazy Trump supporter insurrectionist Lonnie Coffman from rural Alabama who had the homemade napalm incendiary devices.

Ol’ Lonnie was getting ready to throw him some gasoline bombs, no question about that.

If that is your definition of peaceful protest, I really don’t know what to say except…

      “Napalm, it sticks to kids!”

      • Gasoline it’s not an explosive. It is an accelerant. The majority of explosives contain peroxides or nitrogen. Off the top of my head I can’t think of any explosives that are carbon-based. There are carbon-based things that can explode but they’re not technically explosives.

    • My wife works in the banking industry, and word is being put out to them by “the authorities” to be on special alert.

    • He’s a ‘journalist’ TTAG has featured here in the past.

Why should we care? Simple – Know your enemy…

  11. Passing laws contrary to the Constitution and empowering agencies with anti-constitutional court missions is definitely subverting the rule of the Supreme law of the land.

  12. America’s suburban guerillas have conveniently overlooked the horror that could ensue from armed insurrection.

As have many people in the Ruling Class who happily deceive, defraud, abuse, exploit, and consume the Working Class — and think that they can do that without any limits and without ever paying any penalty for such obscene behavior.

    • They want to return to the good old days prior to workplace regulation, OHSA, and negotiated agreements circa late 19th and early 20th centuries.

  13. DeBrabander: Civilian Gun Rights Result in Lawlessness
    —————————————–

Well, okay, so he’s an idiot. The North Vietnamese had super-power support. Their flow of weapons, ammunition, anti-aircraft missiles and massive support of all manner of supplies made them far more than some mere native population of a backwater shit-dump hovel of a country. Conveniently skipping over Soviet and ChiCom support, plus lesser players, is pure dishonesty.

What he is correct about is that in our American Republic insurrectionist talk or action would come up against vastly more firepower than the delusional Trumpists and their Fellow Travelers can imaging.

Insurrection chatter is a threat to the Second Amendment. If TTAG goes down for it, you will only yourselves to blame.

    • “What he is correct about is that in our American Republic insurrectionist talk or action would come up against vastly more firepower than the delusional Trumpists and their Fellow Travelers can imaging.”

We know very well what they will be up against, several hundred thousand of them served in the war on terror for the last 20 years.

80 percent of the military vote right-wing. Do you seriously believe they will willingly open fire on their neighbors, friends and literal family members? Any thought of that will evaporate if they believe their family members could be retaliated against. There are nutjobs that could do that.

Are you still so sure your ‘boys’ will win that thing, son? 😉

      • Wow, 80%, that’s really impressive!

        Too bad it’s bullshit.

“Support for Trump is fading among active-duty troops, new poll shows
        Leo Shane III
        October 15, 2018

How do troops feel about President Trump?

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump’s approval rating among active-duty military personnel has slipped over the last two years, leaving today’s troops evenly split over whether they’re happy with the commander in chief’s job performance, according to the results of a new Military Times poll of active-duty service members.

About 44 percent of troops had a favorable view of Trump’s presidency, the poll showed, compared to 43 percent who disapproved.
The results from the survey, conducted over the course of September and October, suggest a gradual decline in troops’ support of Trump since he was elected in fall 2016, when a similar Military Times poll showed that 46 percent of troops approved of Trump compared to 37 percent who disapproved. That nine-point margin of support now appears gone.“

If any more of you armed insurrectionists plan on showing up at US capital, please include a body bag & toe tag in your combat gear, it will make cleanup and graves registration much more efficient. Don’t worry about ID, it will be an unmarked interment.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this requirement.

        • “About 44 percent of troops had a favorable view of Trump’s presidency, the poll showed, compared to 43 percent who disapproved.”

Miner, thank you for calling BS on the massive military vote change that we witnessed in the 2020 election.

Per the WSJ: “As a group, the military counties backed President Trump.” (in 2020 election)
          https://www.wsj.com/articles/georgia-military-families-who-backed-biden-could-help-determine-senate-control-11609246801

How is it possible that the military vote nationwide favored Trump except in key democrat cities like Detroit and Atlanta where the military vote was almost entirely for Biden? Doesn’t that deserve scrutiny? Or should we never question anything (as long as we agree with it)? It’s like the democrats spending four years questioning the 2016 election never happened.

        • You are conflating pro-Trump with anti-communist. The portion of soldiers that are anti-communist is indeed over 80%.

        • The portion of the combat arms soldiers that are anti-communist is even greater. You and your Stalinist and Maoist LARPers would find very close to zero support there.

        • Doesn’t that deserve scrutiny? Or should we never question anything

That’s EXACTLY what they are telling us… “Move along, there’s nothing to see here”…

    • People on the left keep trying to tell us how strong the US military is and that we have no chance in an armed insurrection. So we might as well submit and give up such fantasies. Mainly what they do in saying such things is showing their complete lack of any understanding of tactics. I guess they think we would find an open field and line ours up against theirs and go at it.

      • “I guess they think we would find an open field and line ours up against theirs and go at it.”

I believe that Waco demonstrated the Dimwitocrat tactics to be used. Pin down and burn out. Could be that the only reason that tactic wasn’t used against whoever it was that stormed the Capitol was because of a goodly number of Dims inside (unlike Waco). On the other hand, even that probably wouldn’t prevent a deadly raid if it seemed politically advantageous. One can never be too sure which side (if there are “sides”) has the actual capability and desire to do what.

        However…..

We (whomever “we” is) did nothing as a result of Waco. No confrontation with federal forces has since reached the level of government perfidy seen at Waco. The founders would have never countenanced the the government we now tolerate. Where/what is the “bright red line” of “enough is enough”?

Revolution is fun to talk about, but 156 years after the second civil war the idea is not compelling enough to the general population (among who the revolutionary fish must swim). No, the country will decline into a nation of no consequence (I read the back of the book).

        • I do not recall the country dissolving into chaos in 1794, as a result of the Whiskey Rebellion, where some fellow with borrowed teeth sent troops against citizens for refusing to pay their arbitrary taxes. Neither do I recall any great surge of discontent and massive outcry when the United States Army was sent against unarmed war veterans camped out in Washington, DC in 1932, driving them with armored cars and cavalry from their encampment and burning it to the ground.

Come to think of it, sprinkled throughout our history are such minor embarrassments as the use of cavalry to break up striking workers, or National Guard troops using machine guns on protesting miners.

Americans are actually pretty comfortable with their government using force against dissidents, especially if they are not, at the moment, members of a Favored Class. If not exactly ‘comfortable, they are at least acquiescent so long as their own lives are unaffected. As to January 6th, 2021, the common American citizen, steeped in rote learning about ‘obeying the rules’ (mask wearing, SocialDistanceJusticeWarrioring, and White Guilt come to mind), is more upset by those little people that ‘break the rules’ and upset the status quo than by those of far higher status who break much BIGGER rules on a far grander scale.

          And so it goes.

  14. “What our armed insurrectionists ask for—what they have unwittingly sown—is destruction of the rule of law.”

This nation was founded by insurrectionists….who were demanding the rule of law.

    • “This nation was founded by insurrectionists….who were demanding the rule of law.”

That band of hillbillies beat the strongest army in the world at the time. Convincingly. With little more than guile and single-shot muskets. All those advanced British weapons did them little good.

Come to think of it, those Hillbillies used British weapons as battlefield pick-ups. Stole their cannon.

      *Wild Applause*… 🙂

      • That ‘band of hillbillies’ using a world power’s cast-off weapons was destined to utter defeat and subjugation, without much doubt, had not another world power, France, intervened. Without France, the massive land forces and navy of the British government could have been brought unhindered against Washington and his sorry, ill-equipped and ill-fed mob of semi-trained volunteers, and would have wiped them from every single battlefield–which they had been doing, almost predictably, on almost every battlefield of the war before France showed up. More French muskets were used by Revolutionary Americans than were British Brown Besses–so much so that the first US Government-made muskets were copies of French 1766 and 1777 muskets, which became the US Model 1795. Without French ships and troops, it wouldn’t have been Cornwallis surrendering at Yorktown, it would’ve been Washington–if he had lived to do so.

So, thank the French for what we had up until January 20th; They made it possible. Do you suppose they would offer to help again? Probably not; After all, what do we have to offer?

        • “So, thank the French for what we had up until January 20th;…”

Actually, the French were not helping the insurrectionists, but tormenting the British. A world war (well, European war) was raging at the time, and England was stretched very thin. Thus, the French saw an opportunity to further damage England, and maybe pick-up some new territory in the New World. It was politics and treasure, not principle, that persuaded France to get involved here. But yes, the French arrived at a very good time.

        • French arrived at a very good time.

As did the Americans in 1918 AND 1944… Without OUR help much of Europe would be speaking German today…

        • “As did the Americans in 1918 AND 1944”

There are two really good series on U-Tube, covering the time between 1900 and 1945. These are 15-20min history videos, and very engaging. The history of Europe prior to WW1, and during, is fascinating.

The great war, week by week:

          WW2, week by week:

    • This whole topic overlooks the fact that THERE IS NO ARMED INSURRECTION. Nobody in the crowd at the capitol was armed. Nobody has overthrown any elected body or any auxiliary thereof.

And yet everyone in the news talks like it’s objective reality. Are they priming public opinion for some nefarious future action or just living in their own alternate reality? (Probably some of both)

  15. “America’s suburban guerillas have conveniently overlooked the horror that could ensue from armed insurrection.”

    That’s rich –

We know full well the horror that awaits, a few tens of thousands of our side have served over the past 20+ years in Iraq-Afghanistan actually in combat.

That’s why it’s so hard to wrap our heads around the fact that he and his ilk seem bound and determined to do exactly that.

An interesting tid-bit broke over the overnight hours, Germany’s Angela Markel is wondering what the fuck is wrong with American ‘liberals’ :

“German Chancellor Angela Merkel finds Twitter’s decision to ban President Donald Trump’s account “problematic,” her spokesperson said.”

“The move has drawn criticism from other political figures in Europe, including EU Commissioner Thierry Breton.”

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/11/germanys-merkel-hits-out-at-twitter-over-problematic-trump-ban.html

Holy crap. The European ‘elite’ that the Leftist scum here admire so much as a model of society to emulate have big problems with censoring political speech…

    • “The European ‘elite’ that the Leftist scum here admire so much as a model of society to emulate have big problems with censoring political speech.”

Actually no. The European elite believe in the *government* having that authority, not private companies. They even said as much:

“Seibert said that, while Twitter was right to flag Trump’s inaccurate tweets about the 2020 U.S. election, banning his account altogether was a step too far. He added that GOVERNMENTS, not private companies, should decide on any limitations to freedom of speech.”

      https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/11/germanys-merkel-hits-out-at-twitter-over-problematic-trump-ban.html

  16. Barking fucking insanity. Pure drivel. Spoken like someone who thinks they’ll be the boot (or at least cowering behind it), not the neck. Or maybe he gets off on ball gags and spiky dildos.

  17. Posse Comitatis be damned, there are increasing calls for the military to be used against the US Constutionally-affirmed rights of American citizens and I believe we should be addressing them now before such actually becomes common.

I’ve stated here before, but if you have sons, daughters, relatives, or you are actually a part of the US military and/or Guard, you need to be thinking now about how you will react to Un-Constitutional orders to deny Americans their fundamental rights. Will you attack them for assembling and organizing because these people find the new, “progressive” Amerika counter to its founding principles or do you join them? Are these not a part of the people you have been sworn to defend? I’d remind you/members that you will not always wear the uniform and at some point you may want to partake in the rights and liberties that you are in the process of shutting down. What then?

I say the same to members of active LE community that I come in contact with, and I salute and offer praise to those elected sheriffs who are on record as saying they will not participate in activites the curtail the rights of otherwise traditional Americans in exercising their long-held values. Make these overtures and alliances now, not after the SHTF. Don’t be blinded by your hatred or mistrust of others, or follow the “leadership” of fools. Seriously.

    • As I posted in another TTAG article: Guns will be banned and seized by the communist goons. And if you think that they won’t consider that there are MILLIONS of our former fellow citizens who will be happy to take the jobs that patriots refuse to do, and be fired for.

      • If local police won’t do the seizure of firearms, there will be more than enough volunteers in ANTIFA and BLM to do so. Especially for a share of the wealth to be redistributed to those less fortunate (themselves).

        • there will be more than enough volunteers in ANTIFA and BLM to do so…

Hmmmmmmm.. Wonder if they’ll each get their own personalized Body Bag… Fucking Soi Bois come to my door they WILL need one…

        • I seriously doubt there will be many antifa or BLM volunteers if the cops/military don’t provide the cover. And if they did, what would be the need of the volunteers?

    • “Posse Comitatis be damned,…”

“Posse Comitatis” is irrelevant. It applies to the military enforcing civilian law. The Dimwitocrats are declaring “insurrection”, for which the use of the military in suppression is not prohibited.

What, exactly is “insurrection” ? Anytime you oppose my speech, thought, politics, NFL team.

      • I doubt the cry of insurrection will get very far and I don’t believe the American public will long support the US military killing citizens wholesale. I’ve also stated here several times that I don’t believe many in the LE or military will enforce laws that they will not want to live under when they’re mustered out. Especially the military since all are volunteers. As I’ve said before- now is the time to start presenting your case to them if you have family members or friends in any type of service.

        • I do not have the faith in cops and military you do. Have a look at all the agencies involved in the Waco massacre. Americans willing to eradicate fellow citizens and children, over vague charges that someone was committing some vague acts of child abuse. It is a strange collection of law enforcement and military who put a stop to child abuse by burning to death both the alleged abuser and the child.

        • The most patent indicator of what law enforcement officers will do to their fellow citizens is clearly shown by what they will do to enforce mask mandates, SocialjusticeDistanceWarrioring, stay-at-home orders, or anything else related to the 23-19 Plague of 2019/2020/2021. If the police will enforce these kinds of arbitrary and capricious ‘rules’ to the point of wrestling and tasing people not in compliance into handcuffs, and if judges will actually jail those Evil Non-Masked Granny Murderers with high bail, then there is no great moral dilemma in those same officers enforcing gun bans and forced confiscations–except, of course, should personal risk be involved.

  18. Where has this asshole been for the last 4 years as Antifa and BLM have looted, rioted and burned down cities, businesses and yes, Federal building, while the media has passed it all off as “fiery but peaceful protest?”

  19. “We know full well the horror that awaits, a few tens of thousands of our side have served over the past 20+ years in Iraq-Afghanistan actually in combat.

“That’s why it’s so hard to wrap our heads around the fact that he and his ilk seem bound and determined to do exactly that.”

There are a number of tactical differences between a patriot rebellion now, and one 245 years ago, not the least of which is communications. The American patriots then could communicate among themselves much more efficiently than the British of the time, who had an ocean between the front line and headquarters. That disparity, if anything, goes the other way now. The “British” own the satellites and cell towers.
American Patriots attempting a rebellion now had better all be on the same page in every way, or they’ll end up, a couple at a time, like this poor Cole fellow:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFd8W6fxEto

Remember those pimple-faced pizza-breath kids often berated for wasting their lives playing video games in momma’s basement? Many of them now use a controller that is connected to real shooting hardware, and they have become adept at playing Whac-A-Mole in the big league. Many on the left are rabid fools just waiting for a chance to pull the trigger, and they are attempting to create a climate that will not only allow it, but even applaud it.

  20. It always comes down to race with these fools.
Did we not watch crowds of mostly POC burn and loot cities for months with no retribution?
Will we not see ONLY White people tried for the comparatively harmless events of 1/6?
Is he not aware of the 1967 Black Panther armed display at the California State House?

  21. And very soon, the narrative will be changing from 2nd amendment “rights” result in lawlessness, to “2nd amendment priveliges” are the problem… and we have just the solution to fix that !!!

  22. The Vietnamese are some tuff SOB’s, they concurred Southern Cambodia, the Mongols couldn’t whoop em, the Chinese failed, the French, the Japanese, and the U S. The new age American doesn’t have what it takes. “Don’t Spill the Masters Tea” War is Hell.

  23. AGREE OPEN CARRY PISTOLS AND CONSEAL WHERE STATE LAW PROVIDES .
AR 15 , AK 47 , RIFLES , SHOT GUNS HAVE NO PLACE ON THE STREET.
    NOR ALLOWED AT DEMONSTRATIONS …
    BUY , OWN , AR 15 , AK 47 , OK FOR HUNTING GAME , HOME PROTECTION .

    • Why do insist on using ALL CAPS… It is obvious that you have some idea of how to use a keyboard because when you spell Trumps name you use a small T (tRUMP)… If you think it gets you attention, well it does, but not in a good way…. WHATEVER…

  24. America’s suburban guerillas have conveniently overlooked the horror that could ensue from armed insurrection.

    No…. they haven’t..

    • Look up the battle of Grozny in the 1st Chechen War. The Russians got their ashes handed to them by the rebels. Because many of the Chechens had been conscripts in the Soviet Army, they knew how the Russians would attack and worked out a defense where the attackers were isolated and ground down.

  25. DeBrabander: Civilian Gun Rights Result in Lawlessne
Regarding the above, the article’s headline,my considered opinion is, in a single word, BALONEY

  26. you bet it is! Civilian gun rights make civilians too hard to control. Hitler and Stalin both found that out hence the premptive strike

  27. I’m going to make a leap here and assume that his label of “gun rights extremists” includes anyone who has more than one gun in his/her safe and more than a stray box of ammo sitting around. Maybe that’s even too much in his opinion. I don’t think it’s a stretch to assume as much. Then he takes THAT all-encompassing label and brands them all as suburban guerillas and armed insurrectionists.

Hopefully he won’t take exception to me playing by the same rules. To wit: Anyone who is against civilian gun ownership is an anti-gun extremist who’s views clearly identify them as clueless douchebags incapable of mounting a coherent argument backed by facts and empirical evidence rather than hysterical claims, false accusations, and wild speculation.

  28. I’ve yet to hear that any of the Nutjobs who participated in the Incursion, were charged with any firearm violations. Anyone else?

The Capitol Incursion, because that’s what it really was, an Incursion (unlawful entry), barely qualifies as a riot. Yes, 5 people died, 2 were killed by the riot, and 3 others died as a result of the riot, but the 3 were not directly killed by rioters of the Police. Several thousands of dollars occurred on the building as well. Although with the Swamp’s Pay Rate, it might approach a million dollars. In comparison to the riots the country that occurred in multiple cities across the nation, the Incursion was a nada burger. The destruction and deaths from those riots, is probably pushing past the billion dollar mark.

The Incursion isn’t even close to an Insurrection. Had a real Insurrection taken place, We’d be holding special elections for some new Congress Critters.

I don’t condone what happened, but I grow weary of watching and hearing this get blown way out of proportion by the Democrats and their Reichsministry for Propaganda and Thought Control (the MSM and Big Tech).

    • Yes, 5 people died,

Add one more…. A 53-year-old Georgia man who faced charges in connection to last Wednesday’s attack on the U.S. Capitol has died by suicide, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office. Christopher Stanton Georgia, 53, died from a gunshot wound to the chest on Saturday, the medical examiner’s office told NBC affiliate 11Alive and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

  29. How is it that guns are the problem in the wake of an event where the only person shot was one of the insurrectionists? The most well-armed populace in the world and not an civilian-owned “assault rifle” in view?

Then again, the capitol is probably a gun-free zone so I guess that’s what he would counter with.

    • “What a whack job…”

Uuuhhhh, mmmmmm, uuhhhh, like, uuummmm, in what context are you using the word “whack” ?

      • Haha, I didn’t even think about that context! No, I meant as in crazy MF… cuckoo… lost his marbles along with the bag he kept ’em in… you know, a whackjob!

But mostly I just wanted to post something noncontroversial to test my new gravatar. Didn’t expect any pushback for THAT comment on this site… swing and a miss!

        • “But mostly I just wanted to post something noncontroversial to test my new gravatar. Didn’t expect any pushback for THAT comment on this site…”

Moms Against Blindness could get confused.
