CZ-USA is now chambering its popular CZ Redhead Premier Target line of over/under shotguns in 20 gauge. The Redhead Premier Target 20 gauge is pitched to those who want to own a target gun at an affordable price, if you think an MSRP of $1,430 fits that description.
The obvious signals that this is a target gun intended for sport and competition rather than field use are the 30-inch barrels, 7-pound weight, and overall length of 48.25 inches.
The Redhead Premier Target 20 gauge comes fitted with a Monte Carlo stock that helps keep your head up to see the targets. Drop at comb is 1.5 inches; drop at heel is 2.5 inches.
A healthy right-hand palm swell and a 10mm stepped rib makes it suitable for rising trap targets. Out front, there’s a full target forend.
Other features include auto ejectors, a mechanical selectable single trigger, and five extended choke tubes. The checkering is laser-cut Turkish Walnut, and the stock has a 14.75-inch length of pull. The 20 gauge, SKU 06458, accepts 2¾- and 3-inch shells. The barrel finish is gloss black chrome and the receiver finish is silver satin chrome.

Interesting that prices are now creeping up since their formerly low prices drove out much of their budget competition. Kinda of like low budget tractors. Once they’re established in the US, they raise their prices.

Ah, yes, the “Monte Carlo” cheekpiece – elevating the eye for a scope while ruining smooth stock lines and departing from ergonomically desirable straight-line recoil – happily left in the 70s by pretty much everybody but these guys.
