10 years ago today, U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered in cold blood with a gun provided to Mexican drug cartels through Barack Obama and Eric Holder’s ATF “Fast & Furious” program.

The ATF is an oppressive government agency that should be DEFUNDED and ELIMINATED!

  1. it would be great but once the government gets there hands into something they are not going to let go of there control especially with democrats in control

    • Until they lose their hands. With the amount of sheep we have in this country it’s a miracle we still have any rights at all.

      • GRA, I heard that with my bad ear. Time to “nut up, or shut up”. If Congress, POTUS, SCOTUS won’t recognize our INHERENT rights, well . . . what was it Thomas Jefferson said about the Tree of Liberty??

  2. Disband the oppressors??? Great idea, never happen, especially now with the new regime probably gonna beef it up! Double barrel Biden’s gonna make sure you are “infringed”, cuz that’s what Barry O told him to do.

  3. The ATF is failing to protect America against true gun crimes. Attacking law abiding citizens after reversing rules that give you the go ahead to buy and use is like shooting baby deer in a pen And still tryin* to call yourself a hunter and supporter of wildlife. Punk tactics. The NFA and each of the GCAs should be removed. They have neither solved or stopped any criminal acts since their inception. Time to move forward in this country and eliminate government that doesn’t work for the people.

    • Whatever made you think that the “mission” of the ATF was to protect us against gun crimes???? The actual mission of the ATF is to protect “them” (our masters) against OUR guns. Kinda obvious when you look at what they actually do.

As my dear daddy used to say, “When a man says one thing, then does another, pay attention to what he does, not what he says”. Few, if any, in Congress, the White House or SCOTUS, are true champions of the Constitution, and I doubt if any of them could even DEFINE “inherent rights” or natural law.

OF COURSE the ATF needs to be disbanded. And the Department of Education, and the Department of Energy, and any other “Department” not expressly recognized by the Constitution. If a particular POTUS wants to appoint a “czar” to address a specific issue, let them do it. But imbuing them with the authority of a Cabinet position is a travesty. And a law passed by Congress does not constitute an Amendment to the Constitution.

  4. I am not surprised by point #1
Multiple people should be in prison for the gun runnin’ they did.

    I agree with point #2
    It’s time to move forward.

    • Would that include officials from the Republican Bush administration?

“The first known ATF “gunwalking” operation to Mexican drug cartels, named Operation Wide Receiver, began in early 2006 and ran into late 2007. Licensed dealer Mike Detty of Mad Dawg Global informed the ATF of a suspicious gun purchase that took place in February 2006 in Tucson, Arizona. In March, he was hired as a confidential informant working with the ATF’s Tucson office, part of their Phoenix, Arizona field division.[33]

With the use of surveillance equipment, ATF agents monitored additional sales by Detty to straw purchasers. With assurance from ATF “that Mexican officials would be conducting surveillance or interdictions when guns got to the other side of the border”,[13] Detty would sell a total of about 450 guns during the operation.[32] These included AR-15s, semi-automatic AK-pattern rifles, and Colt .38s. The majority of the guns were eventually lost as they moved into Mexico.[6][33][34][35]

As the later DOJ OIG Report documented, under Wide Receiver coordination of ATF Tucson with the ATF Mexico City Office (MCO) and with Mexican law enforcement had been haphazard. Discussions of getting tracking devices from Raytheon were not followed up. ATF field agents and the cooperating gun dealer had been told by ATF supervisors that the guns were being interdicted before they could reach Mexico, but only 64 of the 474 guns had actually been seized. The kingpin sought by walking the guns, Israel Egurrola-Leon, turned out to be the target of a larger drug case Operation Iron River run by OCDETF. After Operation Wide Receiver was ended, several attorneys at the Phoenix USAO who reviewed the Wide Receiver cases for prosecution found the cases had been so poorly managed that they were reluctant to bring any of them to trial.[1]

At the time, under the Bush administration Department of Justice (DOJ), no arrests or indictments were made. After President Barack Obama took office in 2009, the DOJ reviewed Wide Receiver and found that guns had been allowed into the hands of suspected gun traffickers. Indictments began in 2010, over three years after Wide Receiver concluded. As of October 4, 2011, nine people had been charged with making false statements in acquisition of firearms and illicit transfer, shipment or delivery of firearms.[25] As of November, charges against one defendant had been dropped; five of them had pleaded guilty, and one had been sentenced to one year and one day in prison. Two of them remained fugitives.[33]“

The ATF investigations under George W. Bush were poorly executed, no prosecutions or indictments.

Hmmm, why no prosecutions under the Bush administration?

But when Barack Obama into the office in 2009, his administration began prosecution of individuals involved in illegal weapons traffic. Thanks, Obama!

      • Sounds just like something from CNN and MSNBC. Not only are you wrong but you, like all other leftists and subversives, don’t belong in the USA to begin with regardless of where your useless ass was born. You don’t like the 2nd. Amendment then leave and go live elsewhere. Nobody here, most likely even your own, will miss you. And remember; you and everyone like you are fully expendable.

        • “Not only are you wrong“

Really? Specifically, just how am I wrong, which of my statements is factually inaccurate?

        • Don’t debate with tools like Miner 49. The left wants to get us bogged down debating these nimrods and keep us busy with that. So what if we prove our point? It would be lost on him anyway and besides what value is there in winning a debate when the left owns the media, the courts, education, big tech and our elections are compromised. There is no more PR victories, or political victories to be had for the most part, though some states are still free but for how long as the federal government gains more power. We can start with just not complying with whatever unconstitutional mandates come from the unelected bureaucracy. Let Miner 49 waste his time repeating propaganda from his indoctrination and we disregard him and any laws that result from the fools on the left.

      • I make no distinction. Someone needs to pay for what happened in Waco as well. There are many cases where the guilty get a pass. The Clintons are at the top of that list.

        • I agree with you. They are a federal agency that indeed is part of our current two-tiered justice system where the law only applies to those that do not support a Democrat-Socialist ideology. Those that do like the Clinton and Soetoro regimes are obviously entirely above the laws.

        • “The Clintons“ weren’t responsible for the attacks at ruby ridge or Waco.

Clinton was not president when the feds attacked Randy Weaver at Ruby Ridge, and he had only been president for a month when the feds attacked at Waco.

Both of these attacks were the culmination of 12 years of Reagan/Bush Republican ATF domination.

        • @miner49er
          What are you talking about?
Who said the Clintons were responsible for Waco or Ruby Ridge?

I suggest you reread what I said.

        • Janet Reno WAS Clintons AG and she did oversee the WACO fuck up, so did Bush 41 call her up and order her to kill a bunch of women and children or did she get her orders from HER boss….

      • minor 49 IQ…No it would not include the Bush Adminstration. Fast and Furious was a concocted stand alone scheme intended to drum up support for Gun Control. Gun Control is a racist and Nazi based agenda and the democRat Party owns it and mountains of other filth.
What part of owns-it don’t you understand you pathetic mealy mouth democRat Party lint licking twerp?

        • mlnor 49 IQ needs to cease lint licking democRats and man up and demand the democRat Party make Monetary Reparations for its long, long, long history of despicable race based atrocities that include Gun Control. After all the military wing of the democRat Party was the KKK and part of the KKK duties were to disarm Black Americans. And when they did not comply their shacks looked like Waco TX. Waco where democRats were at the helm burning men, women and children to death all on the behalf of Gun Control…

When you see Gun Control don’t see it as meaning some smiley faced law. See Gun Control as an agenda rooted in racism and genocide. It is what it is.

        • Perfect double standard, congratulations little Debbie!

When the Republicans send hundreds of guns to the Mexican gangs and lose track of 90% of them, no problem because it’s the Republicans.

But when the ATF continues the programs under a democrat president, the outrage!

Republican gun-running to drug cartels and terrorists is OK with little Debbie, fascinating set of moral values there.

      • Minr: God knows I hate to acknowledge your existence but sometimes YOUR bullshit just gets too deep and this is no different.. You pick and choose the facts YOU want to convey and conveniently ignore any pertinent information that might cast a bad light on your HERO… Well I fixed that for you since I too know how to search, copy and paste, however I’ll present my findings without edits or omissions of PERTINENT information…

Obama talks tough about gun control, but prosecutions plummet on his watch
Policy shift drives decline in ATF cases since Newtown tragedy

While President Obama decries gun violence and presses for more laws to restrict ownership, his Justice Department has prosecuted 25 percent fewer cases referred by the main law enforcement agency charged with reducing firearms violence across the country, a computer analysis of U.S. prosecution data shows.

Federal prosecutors brought a total of 5,082 gun violation cases in 2013 recommended by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, compared with 6,791 during the last year of George W. Bush’s presidency in 2008, according to data obtained from the Executive Office of U.S. Attorneys.
The 2013 totals represent a 42 percent decline from the record number of 8,752 prosecutions of ATF cases brought by the Justice Department in 2004 under Mr. Bush, according to the data.

“We have this irony. The Obama administration, which is asking for more in the way of gun regulations — in terms of increased background checks for private sales and at gun shows — is actually prosecuting less of the gun laws already on the books,” said Robert Cottrol, a gun control historian at George Washington University. “For a lot of people, there’s more ideological cache harassing Bubba at the gun show than getting a handle on gun crime.”
And for something NOT quite entirely different…
Under Obama, US Became World’s Number 1 for Sex Trafficking and Pedophilia.
America was global human trafficking and pedophile ring hotspot during Obama 2nd term

      • So Miner, you’re spreading some pretty good organic fertilizer there again. Can I arrange to get enough to treat a half acre garden plot, say approximately 135 yards? That’ll give me enough for a good two inches over the whole thing, to be plowed in. Now, it appears to have come from a horse or donkey, so I’ll need it composted prior to delivery, to kill all the weed seeds. Watcha say?

        • Help me out here, is there a particular statement I made in my post that you feel is factually inaccurate?

      • Minor Distraction,

Just for the edification of those of us who are not familiar with your entire body of work of trolldom, please educate us: What, EXACTLY, in your view, is the proper role of the federal government, in general, and the BATFE, in particular??

        “Inquiring minds want to know.”

      • Miner, not only wrong but a lying POS. I am convinced you already know that the Bush program was only similar on the surface. No (as in zero) guns ever found their way into criminal hands, they were tightly controlled and tracked closely, and arrests were made, since the purpose of the entire thing was to entrap and imprison the criminal gunrunners. The Osama scheme never even pretended to track anything or arrest anyone, since the entire program was intended to get lots of Mexicans fucking KILLED, in order to justify confiscating Americans’ guns so that cartels couldn’t get them. They displayed to the press not only machine guns but rocket launchers, mortars and grenades, pretending they all came from legitimate firearms dealers near the border, all complete lies. And here you are, STILL lying about it.
Cartels had (and probably still have) actual cargo aircraft carrying in a few dozen TONS at a time of sophisticated weaponry from all over the world, they don’t give a shit about a half-dozen rifles or shotguns from a border dealer.

    • I knew of a store like that in Flagstaff AZ where I attended college. You could literally walk in and buy all of the alcohol, tobacco, snacks and firearms you wanted. Have no idea if the store is still in business today.

  5. We need a strong full funded ever expanding centralized govt to protect us so we are safe!

Just like WW2 or Iraq or the Convid virus, govt stepped up to free the people from tyranny!

This is what the voting voters voted for!

    • I can see this happening under the right circumstances. BATFE has never been the most professional agency. While some of them that have around 17+ years of service are the few there left that have their heads screwed on right the rest of them that are new all want to be the only people in the USA to be armed. A few years back I heard some say they wouldn’t hesitate one second to do door-to-door firearm confiscation “a la Feinstein”. The older agents with them told them they were nuts and wouldn’t last very long which is true but the agency allegedly continues to grow the ludicrous and overbearing mindset of these younger agents.

Sooner or later this will all come to a crescendo AGAIN like what happened in Waco, Texas. So yes I agree this agency needs to be disbanded. You cannot use LEO authority to protect the citizens of our nation when all you do is oppress and maintain a holier-than-thou attitude towards those you’re sworn to protect.

      • I’m pretty sure neither the ATF nor the FBI will survive another Waco. That shocked the nation or it would have been stopped *there*. And they knew it, so they kept the press so far away they could not see or record what was happening. I don’t think they will get away with that again.

  6. Simply Not going to happen. Bureaucracy is the lifeblood of Government. Without it Control of the populace is near impossible. Those in Power know full well many of the regulation enacted in the Bureaucratic darkness would be all but impossible in the light of day. Just give Congresswoman Greene a few weeks in D.C. under the watchful eyes of those in Power and she’ll quietly step in line. Nothing against her and her Ideals. It’s just if New members of the club want to be seated on a committee they’ll do as they are told. Otherwise they get delegated to obscurity never to be heard from again. It may not be right, but it’s how the Game is played in Washington. Keep Your Powder Dry.

  7. To make this effective, legislation that eliminates this agency must make it and any gun control acts illegal and unconstitutional and make attempts to reintroduce them as acts of treason.

    • You first would have to strip legislators of their immunity (not going to happen) and then you would have to get a federal agency to actually investigate and enforce the law (against people who decide their budget) so I’m not hopeful but it would be nice.

While a legislator who submits a law is basically immune to any legal ramifications of the law being found unconstitutional the lobbyist who actually write the laws (and hand them off to elected officials with campaign contributions) are not. Personally I’d like to see a few lobbyists prosecuted for Conspiracy against rights (US Code 18 241) but I doubt they would ever see the inside of a court room. However I almost guarantee that we would see a lot less infringing laws if someone in the legislative process had skin in the game.

      • I have not even heard of lobbyists attaching their names to the bills they write, cannot imagine how they would/could be held accountable in any way. The names attached as authors are invariably members of Congress, not even staff.

  8. I agree it is Constitutionally wrong it is a INFRINGEMENT of our Rights all really should be prosecuted for breaking the Law of the Land then we have nsa spying on Americans others that belong prosecuted, tsa, epa, and many others that are illegal, we the people have to stand up and Fight for Rights with these communist trying to take over America for their one world order that is the democratic communist party, these politicians have to take a pay cut, no more retirement or healthcare on the Taxpayers back retroactive 25-35 years , no more millions to other countries

  9. TPTB just stole an election. You’re saying they should give up power?? Good luck with that. You’ll need to do more than protest.

  10. They want to defund police and get rid of ICE and Border Patrol but they won’t get rid of the ATF. I’m thinking there’s not enough ATF agents to do door to door confiscations and you can’t use our Military against us or so they say and my Local PD and Sheriff say they’ll never confiscate anything. Our county is a 2A sanctuary county. HELL YEAH

  11. The solution to the BATFE is to turn it into a paper-shuffling tax collection agency – and that’s it.

The reason why there is this combination of unlikely regulatory markets (alcohol, tobacco and firearms) in this agency is that this agency was originally formed to collect taxes in the Treasury Department. When the first round of female/beta-male “progressives” gained control in Congress, they outlawed alcohol and then they set the NFA in action. By 1934, there was now a tax revenue stream that was going to come into the government from booze and NFA firearms, and so Treasury needed an agency to collect said taxes.

    So here’s the solution:

    1. Get rid of the BATFE. Just zero out the agency.
    2. Transfer the tax collection issues to Treasury. You have to pay your taxes to the Dep’t of the Treasury anyway…
    3. Transfer the licensing aspects of the ATF to Department of Commerce, just as the Trump administration did with ITAR and common gun parts.

    Call it done.

    • I wouldn’t exactly call that done. The power to tax is the power to destroy — you can’t call the ATF gone until you take away all the fees and stamps and licensing that goes with them. There is nothing in the 2A that says we have to pay to exercise a natural right.

  12. Congresswoman-elect Marjory Taylor Greene has now done more than any elected (L)or(l)ibertarian. Speaking out is the first step. Now I hope she keeps it up. She has the power to speak. Just like everyone else. Democrats control the House. Ok fine. Let her make floor speeches at every opportunity about the crimes of the BATFE.

Bob “B-1” Dornan was great at public speeches. It got him a great deal of face time on TV. and that is how you educate the public, about the evils of the BATFE.

  13. If she were from my District, I’d vote for her! We need to defund and eliminate the FBI as well. Why? Spending their time on a sham “investigation” of a lawfully elected president while IGNORING credible threats about the Parkland shooter. The FBI is an accessory to the murder of 17 children. NO FORGIVING THAT!
