It’s nice of the Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece to go to the trouble of recommending ways the United States can reach the levels of freedom and prosperity enjoyed in the Middle Kingdom.

China is now the country with the fewest gun-linked crimes in the world. This results from strict control and regulation of firearms, which have contributed to China’s rapid economic growth and the stability of society in the past four decades. Private possession of firearms is generally prohibited with extremely limited exceptions in China. Relevant laws provide harsh punishments for gun control violations. All these measures guarantee that guns are not in the wrong hands.

The US government needs to adopt updated and stricter laws to ensure firearms are in the right hands. Stronger gun laws could result in fewer gun deaths. But focusing on gun laws for the sake of shootings may lead to omissions in regulations that should be more comprehensive.

In recent years, the Chinese government took further steps to adjust and tighten its regulations on gun ownership in accordance with evolving national conditions. Although the moves are based on China’s conditions, the Chinese general road map for strict gun control is worth mulling over for the US, Brazil or any other country with similar headaches. China has developed its proper way, and so can the US.

    • Gun control helping us “achieve” their level of prosperity is the most honest thing they have said to us since the cultural revolution.

    • Actually, they aren’t. Despite it’s name, China hasn’t been Communist for quite a while now. It’s impressive growth and prosperity (witness the increasing numbers of very wealth Chinese buying property in Canada and the US) is a result of China having become a full-fledged Fascist state.

    • “Need a LOT more prison space, too…”

Do what the ChiComs do to the Uyghur Muslim people.

*Lots* of ‘re-education camps’ where POTG (boys and girls of all ages!) can learn proper ‘Progressive’ thoughts, words , and deeds…

  1. The Chicoms have many laudable programs to control their people which ensure peace and tranquility. I’m AOC, Bernie and the Beta would be on board with these suggestions.

  2. Okay, it’s fair, we try to tell other countries what to do, they can do the same. That’s politics, painting your own country as morally superior for public consumption back home, et cetera.

It’s also fair for us to give them the same response they usually give us.

I would like to note, however, very often I see foreign visitors to the US visiting shooting ranges where they can rent guns and get in some bang-time. Most recently it was a group of four from the UK, renting everything from Glocks to the Barrett .50.

Moral superiority is great and all but let’s face it, it’s just not that much fun.

  3. “China is now the country with the fewest gun-linked crimes in the world.”

I doubt they include crimes committed by the police/government in that statistic.

    • True.

Plus, they tell loads of lies about conditions in their country. Always have, always will.

It is necessary to tell massive lies (and much worse) to maintain the delusion of a Communist Utopia.

    • The people have basically been disarmed while the criminally led government is literally holding a gun to every citizens head. That doesn’t really work for me.

    • ‘Concentration camps’ sounds so… Harsh.

“Re-Education Camps” sounds so much *nicer*.

Doesn’t everyone want to think proper, correct Leftist thoughts? 🙂

  4. “China has the fewest CIVILIAN perpetrated gun crimes in the world…”
There fixed it for you. Asshats like this always ignore the 60M murders committed by the almighty state, with guns, in order to achieve their glorious utopia.

        • Um… I hate to break this to you, but forced organ harvesting from political prisoners has been confirmed by numerous human rights organizations and condemned by Congress. This particular detail is QUITE real.

        • I haven’t personally seen what he’s referring to forward assist, but it is proven through a combination of satalite imagery and thousands of eyewitnesses, and is even reported by liberal news orgs like the BBC, that China has hundreds of concentration camps detaining *millions* of people. A country that has the fortitude to do that, with a long history of mass murder, it isn’t really so much of a stretch that it would use these detained people as a source of income by cutting them up. Remember the untold story of Tieneman square, the part they don’t show you in high school, is shortly after the brave man states down the tank, the PLA opens up on the crowd and kills over 10,000 people. And then bills the families of the dead for the bullets they used. China is not a country has any moral obligations to anything.

        • And you need to understand when they execute prisoners in China they aim away from the parts they harvest.

Try living in the region for a few years, you might learn something

        • “You gotta turn off the radio after 11pm. Not everything on Coast to Coast is real.”

If you are sentenced to death in China, upon entry into prison, they type and cross-match your tissues.

Your date of execution is the day you match what somebody needs.

And were you aware sometimes the person needing an organ is an American who is looking for a ‘good deal’ on an expensive organ transplant?

  5. Sure thing, pinkos. Our armed citizens represent the largest “army” the world has ever known. Next I suppose we should take your advice if you suggest we should disband our military, too, right. Nothing wrong with taking advice from your avowed enemies. What could go wrong?

  6. What China’s government does to do to its own citizens serfs because they are unable to defend themselves is Exhibit A for why we must never follow their example.

  7. In communist countries civilians aren’t allowed to murder people – that’s the government’s job.

  8. After WW2, the Japanese were asked why they did not invade the U S after Pearl Harbor and they replied- Invading a country with millions of armed people was not a winning proposition.

  9. …Of course THEY do…I’m sure the Demo-CRAPS are right on board….Maybe “Harpies Demand Subservient Husbands” can invite some Chinese politcal Officer’s over for a Tea party and discuss what THEY can do to help Gun Control in the USA….

  10. Note that the source article has Disqus comments. They’re being moderated. What a shocker. I don’t expect any pro-gun comments to be approved.

        • I have no idea who controls that site. That there weren’t any comments displayed already strongly hinted that they allow no dissent to their propaganda. I merely confirmed it by posting a comment, seeing that all comments go to moderation, then seeing that they deleted it entirely. It’s precisely what I expected.

The same totalitarian bent is equally present in far, far too many American sites.

  11. American voters have a difficult time imagining how it is that the 2A and popular private gun ownership serves in the cause of “security of a free state”. After all, the American nation-state is among the most free in the world. Where’s the threat?

The argument seems very much like the person who wears a necklace of garlic to keep the werewolves away. How can we help create an understanding of the mechanism?

The solution, I think, is to draw attention to those countries that neglect to preserve the right of arms. The most recent example is Venezuela.

Lacking much of a tradition of popular arms ownership, Venezuelans made few (if any) objections to gun confiscation. And then, lacking recourse, have to live through the “popular” election of President Maduro. As wisely quipped, “You can vote yourself into socialism; but, you will have to shoot your way back.”

North Korea, China, Russia, . . . Brazil, Honduras, Mexico. Many variations on the theme.

Of course, not all countries that ban, or restrict, guns are hell-holes. Many are very nice places to live. Nevertheless, when the state (or criminals) hold a monopoly on the use of force there remains no popular recourse.

When majority rules, and a minority with legitimate grievances remains unarmed, the minority has no recourse. Why would someone WILLINGLY forego a last recourse? THAT, ultimately, is the question to ponder.

Some people will eagerly forego a last recourse. I wish them well. God bless them. Americans will not do so; I will not do so.

    • I suggest a month or two in another country where you are monitored by cameras, visited by the authorities, told to be careful what you say, and live as the peasants live as a better prescription.
Singapore is a clean example of a nice shiny city where everyone does what they are told because 85 of the rulers are one party and it never changes.
Hong Kong is another place that is sliding down the hill on rights. Even Japan and South Korea have their eyes on people and free speech isn’t protected.

  12. The thing China is lacking is tank control. To make sure their army never drives tanks over protesters again.

    • “How many people did they murder on demand for their organs last year?”

Shhhh! That’s an ‘Ancient Chinese *secret*’…

  13. Pretty sure that guns in the hands of criminal gangsters and thugs, ie. the Chinese government and police, are in the wrong hands

  14. I do believe communist China has the world record for the most number of people stabbed to death in single attacks. You don’t need a gun to kill two or three dozen people in a few minutes. The Communist Chinese approving that.

  15. “Political power grows from the barrel of a gun.”
    – Mao

And once your side gets it, take away everyone else’s guns and you keep the power.

  16. OF COURSE authoritarian governments want gun control! They don’t want any competition in the quest to rack up huge murder numbers!

Mao killed many tens of millions of people mostly through bad economic policies that created famines (30-48 million), and a lesser number, though still huge, through multiple purges such as:

Land Reform Campaign (at least 1 million, up to 4 million)
    Anti-Christian campaigns (many thousands)
Campaigns to eliminate/suppress counterrevolutionaries (unknown but more than 1 million)
    Cultural Revolution (perhaps 1 million)
Occupation of Tibet (China imprisoned 15% of the entire population, and many of them died in captivity)

  17. “Chinese Communist Party Prescribes More Gun Control for the US”

I’m sure they do, but it just isn’t going to happen…china continually tells the U.S. to “stay in it’s own lane”, but has no difficulty in telling others how to handle domestic issues…FA Q china…

  18. Chinese gun control: https://doctorbulldog.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/china_prisoner_execution.jpg?w=450&h=302

It’s also their tax control, immigration control, religion control, speech control, assembly control, population control, and political control.

Hmm… I’m sensing a trend here… there’s a common word in all of those and I just cant put my finger on it… Ah! Control! All of this, and all of what Communists are ever concerned about; control. Unquestioned, unlimited, and unending control.

  19. I work at a business with many hundreds if not a couple of thousand recent chinese immigrants. I eat lunch with them every day. For the most part they aren’t real fond of communists. And the ones that speak english well have told me we should never give up our guns.

  20. Yes, China’s idea of gun control is not to stop violence. There goal is to stop any grass roots movement to eliminate the Communist Party control over the country.

  21. China is now the country with the fewest gun-linked crimes in the world.

Because when the government does it, it isn’t a crime.

    • Bingo.

Hey, there were no mass shootings in nazi germany either…maybe we should follow their lead?

Of course, the mass graves were filled with perfectly ‘legally’ executed people, as far as the government was concerned.

  22. I tried commenting on the original article, but unsurprisingly for a domain under chinese control (.cn tld), it was not ‘approved’. Gee…I wonder why?
    Here’s what I wrote:

For a race with typically undersized male genitalia, writing an article like this took some big balls!
It must take real effort to write such untrammeled bullshit…but I guess you have to earn your social credit points somehow in the communist paradise of china!

  23. Yup, run a prison country and you do have much better serfs.

Worry not china, we’re slowing coming around to that way of thinking in america too.

  24. I’ve seen the videos of Chinese drivers doing the most unthinkable things. Dying in vehicle accidents must be their #1 cause of death, they don’t need guns if they operate them like cars, lol

  25. I have two proposals re guns for the Chinese communists.

a/ all those in power should SUCK A GUN, really deeply, point it up and back towards the crown of the skull, inhale, and pull the trigger.

b/ all those not in power should take a shovel, crack the skull open of any solider or cop with a gun, take that gun, steal more guns from soldiers and cops and shoot every politician in China.

  26. China has no chance in hell of conquering the US, either by open war or by using Marxist leaning Democrat Party operatives, as long as the American people are armed. Of course they want to disarm us.

  27. China? This is the same party that MURDERED 10,000 of it’s own citizens in the Tiananmen Square massacre. China is run by one of the most evil regimes every to stalk the earth. Godless, brutal, murderous, and totalitarian. China’s government can rot in hell, and probably many will.

  28. Does anyone know who this guy is, other than the “Community Party Mouthpiece”? I assume he’s some sort of public figure put in place because of his ability to communicate party ideals in English.

I would assume he would have studied English for many years to become highly skilled in correct and almost native-like speaking and writing skills.
For someone like this, the quote was awfully confusing English.

  29. 5% of the world’s population, 23% of the world’s economy. 30% of the world’s population, 15% of the world’s economy. We’re doing just fine, thank you. We require no lectures from the junior economy on the subject of human rights or economic success. Or do we want talk about the spate of knife attacks in China and various other government sponsored perfidies?

  30. Ask those million or Uyghur’s currently experiencing “cultural genocide” at the hands of the Chinese government how their civilian disarmament went.
