“Innocent until proven guilty” doesn’t apply here. The criminal justice system has to wait until a guilty plea or verdict, but others can make up their mind and act without waiting for that.
I agree. Regardless his alleged guilt, it’s undeniable that he has become a monumental distraction from the State’s business. So he should at least be suspended until such time as he can represent his district without the daily three ring media circus. That’s how they do it in the private sector. Even if your case is low profile, you’re flat out fired.
Not only that, but a mere arrest for a Class B misdemeanor offense or worse is sufficient for automatic suspension of one’s license to carry. Well. He’s charged with a whole boatload of major crimes. Maybe his license to make laws should be suspended until his legal problems are resolved.
