“Gunmen killed at least 27 people at a beachfront Tunisian hotel on Friday, the same day a terrorist lashed out brutally in France and a mosque in Kuwait was bombed,” cnn.com reports. “A woman from Wales [vacationing in Tunisia] told CNN’s Robyn Kriel that she saw bloodied bodies lying in the sand and people from neighboring hotels jumping over to fences to get to her hotel. She said she is staying about a mile from the main attack scene, but visitors there still took precautions by putting mattresses up against the door to slow any gunmen who might try to barge in.” Ah, the old mattress defense! Meanwhile . . .

The bloodshed comes the same day as at least two deadly terrorist attack in other countries.

One person was beheaded and two injured at a gas factory near Lyon in southeastern France, according to French President Francois Hollande. And ISIS has claimed responsibility for an apparent bomb blast at the Shiite-affiliated Al-Sadiq mosque in Kuwait’s capital during Friday prayers, leading to a number of death and injuries.

That would be the same Kuwait that’s busy disarming its citizens. And I mean door-to-door confiscation by government agents that started two days ago:

On Tuesday, a controversial new Kuwaiti law came into effect that will see citizens’ homes searched for unlicensed arms, ammunition and fireworks.

The Interior Ministry has pledged to “respect the customs of the people of Kuwait” in implementing the law, vowing to use female police officers when searching homes.

Clearly, attacks by Muslim extremists on the West are intensifying and, perhaps, coordinating. (As is their custom.) It’s only a matter of time before Caliphate-seeking criminals mount a major attack on an American “gun-free” zone, like the one at the Mumbai mall. What then?

We blame the guns, have Apple and Amazon stop selling whatever brand shirt the terrorists were wearing, and call it mission accomplished?

    • Maybe we should get Amazon to stop selling anything with Islamic symbols on it, since they’re obviously signs of hatred.

    • tru dat. Also didn’t make much air time with the MSM either. if it didn’t fit the narrative they desire, it may as well have never happened.

    • I think one of the major differences in the Garland incident and those to come, is that there were quite a few armed LEOs on site including Garland Swat. At least imo, that is not even close to soft target and you either go in there knowing full well youre toast or you abort to pick a better target another day.

      • I’ve always thought the whole Garland event was conceived as jihadist bait. While the city could not take any official role, I’m pretty certain there were tacit understandings with city officials and the area cops (and probably the Texas Rangers) about what was probably going to happen. At the very least, the cop shops who supplied the contracted LEOs were very much aware of what was going down. Pamela Geller is a very dangerous woman. She and the Garland cops made fools out the ISIS “lone wolf” amateurs.

“Here ‘lil Jihadi martyr, come to Mamma . . .” And, sure enough, they did.

  2. Has anyone on the left started screaming for common sense terrorist control, registration or confiscation of terrorists? Maybe they will start posting terrorist free zone signs to protect us all!

  3. It was there. That damned flag caused all of this. If only it was taken off the general lee sooner then this all could have been prevented. For the children people for the children.

  4. Maybe the blast in Kuwait was just someone using up the last of their fireworks before a female officer finds them? Maybe not!

But it does surprise me that they are confiscating guns with 0 shootings. That’s what president told me at least.

  5. Been carrying both inside and outside the home more often. It’s just a matter of time for them to target the US. We are the ones they really want to get.

  6. It is my humble opinion that one of the biggest reasons why the current Administration and it’s Media mouthpiece are so dramatically up-playing and sensationalizing the whole ‘gun violence/gun control’ issue is to distract the American public from the absolute disaster of their foreign policy and total and complete chaos that the world is in right now. — Keep them focused on a polarizing domestic issue/consume their emotions and keep them completely focused inward – while the world burns ….so they don’t see what an absolute disaster this President’s foreign policy has been and what REAL dangers await us…like this. You know it’s just a matter of time before these psychos come here (again?). And I for one sure as hell don’t want to be disarmed with no ability to protect myself and my family – and I feel most people will feel like that as well, if they don’t already (like us).

    • I couldn’t agree more. Worried about $18,000,000,000,000.00 in debt? Worried about rising Obamacare costs are the abject inability of SCOTUS to understand or defend the Constitution? The murders in the south side of Chicago? How about scandals from the NSA / Benghazi / Fast and Furious? Well what you *really* need to be worried about is racism! God forbid that a black criminal is shot by anyone other than a black criminal I tell you. Nothing says social justice like burning businesses and stealing big screen tv’s, eh?

  7. It’ll never happen here.
Because guys like E. J. Dionne Jr. and Shannon Watts are creating gun free zones!

    (Sarc off now)

    • If those are designated gun free zones, what’s there to worry about? Obviously the criminals know they can’t bring guns there, nothing bad could possible happen. Problem solved. Thank you liberal politicians.

      • Next article on TTAG: a comprehensive review of concealed-carry women’s swimwear.

        I can dream, right?

  8. For all of the media attention given to terrorist attacks of non-Middle Eastern countries, there is still a very low probability of being the victim of such an attack. You have a much higher chance of dying in your sleep than of being the victim of these attacks.
Publicizing the attacks and reacting to the attacks with irrational fear enables the terrorists to have much greater impact on us through consequences on the economy.
Don’t worry about ISIS and their kind and focus on making our economy strong to really piss off ISIS.

    • You have a higher chance of dying in your sleep than being the victim of a fire in your home. Yet we have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. Eternal vigilance is the price of peace.

    • Yes, because ISIS’s mission statement is all about economics. WRONG.

It is their fanatical belief to subjugate the entire world. You either you them or be enslaved by them…or be killed by them.

They couldn’t care less about us having a ‘strong economy.’

      • Big deal. The US government is out to subjugate the entire world. ISIS being just one of that effort’s unintended consequences.

ISIS is still playing catch-up on the death count, they’ve got a long way to go.

        • Fair enough, but that does not change the point against the OP’s thesis statement…that having a strong US economy will somehow “show ISIS who’s boss.”

        • “Big deal. The US government is out to subjugate the entire world. ”

Wow, a paulistinian biker regurgitating Harvard marxist obama-speak.

“ISIS is still playing catch-up on the death count, they’ve got a long way to go.”

Islam has killed EIGHTY MILLION PEOPLE in 1400 years. nearly 300K in the last year alone, most other muslims, followed by Christians they are raping enslaving and burning alive or slow drowning or burying alive.

CHANGE YOUR MEDS and GET EDUCATED.
The U.S. isn’t perfect, we aren’t trying to rule the world, and we don’t come even close to the body count of islam OR MARXISM.

          Get it now, bud?

    • Sooo…..if I don’t hire a new employee or buy a new truck, then the terrorists win?

Hmmm….I think I’ll just buy more ammunition and see how it plays out.

      • The terrorists have already won. American civil rights and liberties have been shredded to the frenzied chants of “they hate us for our freedumbs”.

        • My god, I never realized the progressive answer to “they hate our freedom” was to take it away to appease them.

        • The ongoing rape of American liberty is supported by politicians of all stripes, not just “progressives”.

Lest you forget, the Patriot Act passed by an overwhelmingly bipartisan majority.

        • Waco,

Are you starting to get right wing on us? Let me know if you want to take some self defense class or learn how to use weapons to defend yourself. There are all sorts of criminal elements in this world and the skill and ability to use a firearm combined with situational awareness are the best ways to take personal responsibility for your own safety and security. It’s similar to how the Secret Service defends POTUS, or how security contractors guard VIP’s, just on an individual level.

        • It’s funny when conservatives claim a monopoly on promoting liberty in this nation when their ilk in CONgress are 100% complicit in raping the Constitution.

      • The point is not that we should not fight ISIS. We clearly need to bomb them back to the Stone Age.
The point is that we should not let these future Flintstones to dictate if we go shopping, on vacation, etc. We cannot let them have a bigger impact due to the fear they create.

  9. Remember, to the leftist mind, not wishing to bake a cake for an event is equal to this. That’s the insane idiocy we’re up against.

      • Pass all the judgement you want, at the end of the day ISIS is just another byproduct of US foreign policy.

All the bluster about protecting yourselves from ISIS is truly amusing, especially when so many people here actually volunteer to serve the entity that created the conditions for ISIS to thrive.

        • Pssst……Muslims have had as their sacred marching orders, and been following through on them, the mass murder of infidels for centuries before there were even American colonies, let alone any U.S. policies.

I know any alternative theory, aka the truth, is both unfathomable and unfashionable to the Blame America First crowd, but do try to consider it.

        • You sound like the jihadis themselves, who gripe about the Crusades after a thousand years after the fact. You are literally falling into their trap.

But feel free to explain how Saddam Hussein would have allowed ISIS to exist in Iraq, if the US didn’t stumble in like a drunken fool and hand him over to the Iranians. Blame American First? It’s just a clear case of cause and effect, brosef.

        • Does that mean the Charleston shooter was just a byproduct of northern aggression against the south 150 years ago? He’s not to blame?

And technically, American government and policy was shaped by the traditions of our colonial ancestry, which was shaped by European settlers. So technically, the UK is to blame for ISIS. But then if we go even further back…

          See how ludicrous it gets?

        • Actually for decades the US followed a foreign policy that was distinctly opposite of the British Empire (aka the Brutish Empire), for plainly obvious reasons. It was only in the last century that the US decided to take over the former role of its colonial master on the world stage.

Stating that the US government shares blame for the unintended consequences of their crimes is not saying their demon spawn are blameless. It’s merely a reminder of their origins. And it is important to remind people of their origins, because US government criminals are now using the actions of their unintended progeny to further their own agenda.

        • You’re actually not wrong on many things, but just a friendly piece of advice, try tempering your statements to present a wider picture rather than an aggressive snapshot. If your original post actually did share blame with the ISIS murderers , that would be clearer, instead of seeming like a leftist apologist sort of thing. You won’t find many people here who would fight you on the concept of the government’s criminality.

        • “You won’t find many people here who would fight you on the concept of the government’s criminality.”

Considering how the majority of responses to any ISIS atrocity is a call for the US government to barge in once again, I’d have to disagree.

And on the topic of apologists, j’accuse: they are apologists for the US government.

        • You remind me a bit of Sexual Tyrannosaurus, who was trolling around here for a while. Like you, actually a decent point to make a lot of the time. Also like you, he took such an aggressive stance in his comments that it completely eradicated any chance that anyone would consider those points, and instead all interactions with him were your standard internet shouting matches. He was so over-the-top sometimes that I wondered if he was on the opposite side from his stated beliefs and reverse trolling.

  10. The day when terrorists try to execute a Mumbai style mall attack will be the impetus for the greatest gun/ammo run this country will have ever seen. Think of the mentality of people after 9/11 and then imagine 95% of Americans wanting to “do something” to protect themselves, and 35% of that number realize for the first time that they already have that right, and 25% of their state has already severely infringed on that right.

    • I dunno…. after 9/11 we banned all sharp objects from planes and no one seems to have a problem with it.

      • Indeed, the molesters at the TSA banned “sharps” like ail-clippers and butter knives.

For all the talk about Americans caring about liberty, they were awfully quick to cow to the most absurd sort of security theater.

  11. I have a question…why would ANYONE vacation in Tunisia? My son spent some time in Kuwait-he can’t believe we “liberated” them. But white boys are the problem…

  12. I’m still confused… Someone needs to program me.

So, every time the “bad guys” do something small and insignificant to hurt “us,” we do something to ourselves that’s 1000x worse, and enables them opportunities to do more damage, and that’s us winning?

By observing the facts alone, doing my best to be a 3rd party observer, I’m not even sure who “us” and “them” are, and the mess gets foggier every day.

I’m glad I’m not from this planet. I can’t be. There’s no other explanation why I’m the only one here that isn’t an idiotic reactionary dirty animal…

“Oh, you were trying to do damage to us? Pshaw, hold my beer and stand back, I’ll show you how to mess us up real good! See that? That’s how it’s done!”

    Welcome to America!

    • American travelers being groped at the airport and vaporizing foreign children with drones is the government’s definition of “winning”.

      • We also vaporize lots of combatants- the rest are collateral damage.

ISIS are like liberals. They’ll never shut up complaining about how somebody somewhere did something long ago that demands retribution today. It’s just an excuse.

        • Compare that to the American government’s way, which is to pre-emptively vaporize children because they might grow up later to dislike the US government. Oh wait, that’s what ISIS does too. They learn from the masters of terror.

Also I like you casually dismiss collateral damage. As if that doesn’t piss off people greatly and make them want to attack the US.

  13. When it happens here we can blame the 2nd amendment, ban the terrorists’ t-shirts, feel bad for their lack of employment opportunities, and use the attack as an excuse to murder people who didn’t do it so the elite can steal their stuff. And maybe get a new federal agency to violate us.

  14. “American “gun-free” zone, like the one at the Mumbai mall. What then?”

Bam Bam Obama would tell you that if that happens, there isn’t enough gun control. Rhambutt Emasculate in Chicago will tell you the same thing.

  15. 65 innocent people murdered in three countries in s single day by terrorists. Our sad example of a President is calling for increased gun control and less guns for law abiding US citizens. In the face of growing terrorism coupled with increasing car jackings, home invasions, armed robberies, mass shootings, and riots, it seems he wants us all to be victims. Its time that every law abiding home be armed and trained with high capacity semi automatic rifles!!!

    • The purpose of 2A is defend yourself from the government, not any of those things you listed.

Also make that a belt-fed machine gun, people need suppression fire against government thugs.
