Trump secret service

The United States Secret Service whisked Donald Trump off-stage in Reno tonight after a man reached into his jacket to produce a flag.  Someone nearby shouted “gun!” and the agents whisked Trump to safety, showing folks a peek at the heavy security that follows the probable next president of the USA.

The man pulling the “Republicans Against Trump” flag?  He got to kiss the concrete floor as audience members next to him saw his suspicious movements and took him down.  Security, police and Secret Service agents swarmed the man as he continued to struggle.  Eventually, he got led away in handcuffs.

Trump came back out a short while later to pick up where he left off.  After thanking the Secret Service for their work keeping him safe.  “‘I want to thank the Secret Service. These guys are fantastic. They don’t get enough credit. They don’t get enough credit. They’re amazing people,” Trump told the audience.

Indeed.

Here’s the story from the UK Daily Mail:

The Donald is rushed off the stage by Secret Service while speaking during Reno rally after a ‘Republicans against Trump’ protester causes chaos in the crowd over fears he had a gun

Secret Service agents rushed Donald Trump offstage on Saturday evening during a rally in Reno, Nevada after they determined a protester in the audience might  pose a threat to the Republican presidential candidate.

‘Go! Go!’ agents shouted as they whisked Trump away and a combination of local police and private security wrestled Austyn Crites, 33, to the ground in the front of the crowd.

Crites identifies as a Republican who supports Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, according to his Facebook page.

A senior Trump campaign official told DailyMail.com that the suspect, whom rally-goers already identified as an anti-Trump protester, caused a panic when he reached into his waistband.

At that point, the campaign official said, a voice called out: ‘He’s got a gun!’

Trump’s protective detail sprang into action, pulling him offstage as a sea of bodies scattered, screams rang out and authorities dragged Crites away as he kicked and strained.

…Witness Donald Newton, 45, of California who was in the crowd at the time, said he was next to Crites, who he said was holding a sign and started heading toward the stage.

‘He had something on his belly. I don’t know what it was,’ Newton told the Reno Gazette-Journal.

‘Somebody yelled “gun” and everyone jumped on him. My friend put his knee on his head, but he kept getting up.’

Federal agents and tactical officers from Reno Police removed Crites and placed him in a bathroom near a secure entrance where Trump’s motorcade and the press vehicles were staged.

  1. With the news of heightened possibility of some sort of attacks on Monday in New York, Texas, and Virginia, I’m concerned this may have been a dry run to test secret service reaction time.

      • Eons from now, archaeologists will look back on the surviving records from 21st century America and conclude that there was a titanic political struggle between two factions that both supported 20th century German leader Adolf Hitler.

        • I love your optimism. On the slight chance that Western Civilization exists in even 100 years, it’s inherently doomed. Uneducated and primitive people’s breeding habits ensure that the population of the planet will far surpass any ability of the planet to support us – we’re already ~5B past viable sustainability, at this point some catastrophe is inevitable.

Maybe we will have something rise from the ashes, maybe this time they will get it right.

        • I love your pessimism micro Amp.

Western civilization will survive despite the naysayers, it’s already keeping the rest of the world from eating its own ass.
Interesting choice of words, “sustainability” that’s communist doublespeak, and the US has already decided that it’s worth blood and treasure to kill communists for sport.

  2. I hope the guy gets serious charges.

Danger aside, I’m sure all of those agents are a lot happier to be on Trump’s security detail instead of Clinton’s.

    • “Danger aside, I’m sure all of those agents are a lot happier to be on Trump’s security detail instead of Clinton’s.”

Agents assigned to Clinton’s detail consider it a punishment.

Somewhere over the past few days, I heard that the SS agents call Clinton’s campaign plane “Broomstick One”…

      • After the Lauer interview, wherein he had the temerity to ask the unscripted question about the emails (and called her on her BS answer), several reports say she exploded backstage. Hillary is so foul-mouthed and temperamental that she doesn’t allow her aides to carry cell phones near her, for fear someone will record one of her tirades.

She was gonna have Lauer’s job, called the head of the network, screamed at her staff that if that “M-Fer wins it’s all your fault”, it was an epic rant, except that apparently it happens at least once a week.

I imagine the story has made it to Drudge or Alex Jones by now. It’s being making it’s way around the cocktail gossip of TV newsies for a good minute.

        • She came into where I work a few months back (airport) with her staff and retinue of Secret Service agents, and went into a private room. She went on about a 10 minute tirade swearing like a sailor at her staff and some of the agents about something, and was yelling so loud we could hear it reverberating through the walls. She came out smiling and happy, shaking everyone’s hand and taking pictures.
The secret service agents seemed rather nonplussed about it, but the staff were scared s***less as they left the room, but it was apparently a weekly occurrence. Many of the lower staff would lose jobs if they messed up over the slightest infraction. Secret Service agents said that it was considered non-official punishment to be put on her detail as well. Out of all the Pilots, Staff and secret service, nobody liked her, just tolerated her. They should put a picture of her in the dictionary next to the word b***ch.

        • If only someone could get a hot mike and some video of her going bat-guano crazy – that would be priceless…

        • Yup, that’s the one. It’s apparently making it out, but the MSM wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot pole.

Brazile has already lost her CNN gig for feeding Hillary the debate questions. I didn’t see her on the Sunday talkies, but I don’t watch them closely.

        • Given the level of vicious BS spouted regularly on various internet forums, I have to chalk this up as unconfirmed hearsay at this point. Someone has to catch such a rant on tape, and until that happens, no one on the left side of the aisle will believe any of it. Just like that book by the retired Secret Service persona, who apparently had nowhere near the access necessary to have seen or heard the things he reported. If it’s nnot on tape, it didn’t happen—they call that plausible deniability.

  3. Serious charges for what, carrying a concealed flag? All this guy did was attempt to protest a politician, the goon squad takes him down, and you cheer. Apparently the first is just as dead as the second.

    • Yeah, in reference to my above comment- it may be that he was an innocent protester grabbed when someone ELSE falsely yelled ‘gun.’ Initial news stories seemed to indicate that the suspect himself yelled it. Other than that, calm down, if you walk up to a oft-threatened presidential candidate and yank something out of your shirt you risk getting tackled by goons or whomever.

      • Uhh, yes, yes you do have the right. Exercising this right is considered impolite, inappropriate, and generally bad form by those of us who were not raised by wolves. It may ultimately get you removed. But there are times when it is necessary. That was not one of them.

Likely a DNC operative – the emails are out there, this is straight out of the Alinsky play book.

        • 1. I guarantee you he’s not a “Republican”.
          2. Being against Trump means being pro-Hitlary.
          3. Hitlary supporters should join him up against that wall.

        • Serge, I hope you’re just talking out your ass with this desire to murder everyone who doesn’t vote for your own Dear Leader. (I’m against Trump, by the way…and also against the corrupt old crone.) I’d still think less of you than I used to, but at least I wouldn’t have to put you into the “reasons why I need to have guns” department.

        • Okay, so you tell me how this works. I didn’t vote for Trump. I didn’t vote for Clinton either. But since the world is binary, I must therefore have supported one or the other. Which one is it? Am I a One, or am I a Hillary-helping Zero who should be stood up against a wall and shot?

        • In the battle between good and evil, failing to support good is the same thing as supporting evil. Refusing to do so is just a childish tantrum to avoid responsibility.

  4. Bahahahahahaha! He had the poster rolled up in his crotch, so that it would look like he was packing when he wasn’t! Lol classic Creamer!

  5. “Crites identifies as a Republican who supports Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, according to his Facebook page.”

Sure. And I am selling the Brooklyn bridge.

If Hillary’s campaign is willing to pay mentally unstable people to assault Trump supporters at Trump rallies, her campaign is more than willing to pay a “Republican who supports Hillary” to pull this stunt.

Note: it should go without saying that if Hillary’s campaign is willing to pay someone to pull that stunt, they are also willing to pay a second person to position his/herself next to flag boy and yell “gun”.

    • There are some truly gullible people in this world.

“Republican” and “proudly supporting Hilary Clinton” are mutually exclusive. The man is a textbook case of an agent provacateur, and Team Hilary are already on video admitging to organizing and paying people to do exactly this kind of thing.

      • And if you checked you would find that video was edited for effect. The conversations were taken out of context and manipulated. Thought the armed intelligentsia was about nothing but the facts and the truth. And, of course, the republicans would never do such a thing because they are always pure and above board.

        • Video? Hokey smokes, do try to keep up (I know it’s hard, it just keeps coming). There’s baskets of emails that confirm this is straight out of the Hillary/DNC playbook.

        • Horacemann,

First of all, what evidence do you have that Project Veritas presented manipulated video/conversation out of context?

Second and more importantly, a senior level Clinton campaign manager states clearly that he paid mentally unstable people, who he clarifies to be homeless people, to assault people at Trump rallies. What context and reverse-manipulation can possibly make that okay, moral, and legal?

      • Yep, sounds exactly like a plant. What better way to disrupt a rally and paint negativity on Trump. Better hope these clowns are well compensated because I smell at least inciting a riot…

    • “Crites identifies as a Republican who supports Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, according to his Facebook page.”

You just discribed half of the Republicans in Congress

  6. I think the moral of the story is that if you have some sort of Texas cowboy name, never spell it like a sissy. “AustYn.” Please. Deserves a knee in the head just for the spelling.

  7. “‘I want to thank the Secret Service. These guys are fantastic. They don’t get enough credit. They don’t get enough credit. They’re amazing people,”

You’re never, have never, heard anything like that from Hildabeast. In fact, USSS agents have said she says the opposite.

    • She’s a bitch to everyone she deems below her… which is almost anyone and CERTAINLY anyone working “for” her.

Bill, on the other hand, was supposedly fine. Well, except for the headaches he caused them due to his dalliances.

  8. So let’s clarify. Trump rally interrupted by a Clinton supporter gets the honey badger take down by citizen exercising there right to bear arms, knees and head locks BEFORE police arrive. And the anti self protection propagandists remain mute?

    There is hope NOVEMBER 9th.

  9. LOL “probable next president of the USA”. If you truly believe this you need to get out of the echo chamber you’ve been living in.

  10. The agitator is a Clinton supporter who is mentioned in Wikileaks emails.

In other words, he’s a paid Democrat operative.

  11. A “Republican” supporting the Hildebeast? Like Colin Powell or Bush boy? Yeah I’m cool with kicking his azz(just saw doofus on the tv).

  12. So for a good time, go to a political rally, notice some guy tucking in his shirt and yell, “he has a gun!”

    Hilarity ensues.

  13. Anyone see the interview he gave? Total set up. Said he was getting punched and kicked but not a licking on that pretty face nor a sign of adrenaline. Paid actor.

  14. 4Chan and Reddit did some more digging in to this guy apart from what Wikileaks came up with being an agent provocateur.

This guy has several shell companies illegally obtaining funds and evidence showing he has been involved in voter fraud as well.

Also the guy who cried “gun” was another democrat operative working in tandem with this guy who bailed haste after he did his part.

  15. So much BS in this story. The guy didn’t do anything threatening except hold up a sign the rabid mob didn’t like. Security had to rescue him from them or they probably would have killed him by suffocation. These people are out of control and it’s all Trump’s fault. This guy ought to sue Trump for endangering his life.

  16. Thought I would chime in about the Trump rally incident in Reno. As it so happens I was maybe 10 feet away when Mr. Crites was grabbed by the crowd.

When Crites passed me on his way to the front, he was aggressively pushing and shoving people out of his path to make it to the front. Before he was physically accosted I personally saw his elbow strike a woman’s face as he moved through the crowd. Whether or not, that was intentional, I do not know but that and the fact that he was protesting Trump was the cataylist that caused people immediately around him to grab him.

I also clearly heard him state “I have a gun”. I believe he said this out of fear to get people to let go of him but the crowd’s reaction was the opposite as quite a few people yelled that he had a gun as they proceeded to strike him and hold him on the ground. This commotion was what caused Trump to pause and look into the crowd before the yells of “gun” had him rushed off stage.
