UPDATE: Police reportedly have two people in custody after an attempt to access Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

From 7 News Miami:

Police have two people in custody after a security breach at the Mar-a-lago estate ended in a police-involved shooting.

According to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol troopers and PBSO deputies responded to the scene after a driver in a black SUV fled through two security check points on the property, Friday, at around 11:40 a.m.

Officers fired shots at the vehicle as it headed towards the main entrance of the estate.

Local news stations are reporting shots fired at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida after an apparent attempt to crash the gate.

From Heavy.com:

“Someone ran the northern checkpoint near the property and then deputies fired at this person,” the journalist said on the air. “Secret service officials may have fired at this person as well…this person who sources believe is a woman was still able to get away. Officials are saying This person ran from the scene and is still out there.”

Trump is in Washington, DC. Reports are still sketchy and details are thin at this point. More as and when information becomes available.

      • Unless reporting has gone belly-up, which it probably has, the police captured the alleged perpetrators, not the secret service. The barriers stopped the entry attempt, again not the secret service. Trump being Trump, I stand by my original statement. Somebody gonna get FIRED! And, I’ll add they gonna deserve it, especially if they fired at the alleged gate crashers and missed.

      • Well when a drunk 30 y/o woman who’s just running from the cops can get past two security checkpoints, I’d think things need to be tightened up at least .

  1. They don’t have those things that pop up out the asphalt and can stop 5-ton trucks? I used to deliver canceled checks to a U.S. mint and once watched a test. Impressive.

    • For governmental buildings, yes, as it’s a fairly permanent measure. Not so much for private residences where the President isn’t there most of the time.

  2. Who the hell is stupid enough to break into the president’s home, surrounded by secret service agents and a wrought iron gate? Oh right, Florida..

  3. Considering there is no real level of civility between many of the dems in DC and how they feel about President Trump (consider comments by Maxine Waters and a few others), why wouldn’t we expect one of their followers to pull a stunt like this. Now the dems can blame all gun owners for the problem.

  4. Loads of foolish nonsense in the posts above. This was some person, a woman opera singer in town for a performance, who was under the influence and behaving badly. Had nothing to do with Trump.

The checkpoints were not at Mar a Lago, they are some blocks away.

So both the Secret Service and the police shot at the woman and hit, it seems, nothing at all?

Then they lost track of the vehicle, she got away.

A Florida State Trooper later spotted the vehicle, saw her make a run for a motel room and tackled her.

And still, this was not at Mar a Lago, wasn’t about Trump. Just somebody seen dancing atop her Jeep SUV, apparently drunk or on some other substance, who proceeded to engage in a Big Fake News DUI Event.

    Good times!!!

    • It is interesting, the quick judgments made by most on this forum.

All made without any evidence whatsoever, other than their ‘feelz”.

I will point out that the commonly available aluminum foil is rather poor at preventing the ingress of electromagnetic radiation. I might suggest a more appropriate material, mu metal, as a much more effective deterrent towards intentional and stray electromagnetic radiation.

The actual facts of the incident bear repeating:

        • Yes, I realize it would be futile to attempt to change the focused narratives of the right wing extremists and Russian Internet research agency trolls that often post on this forum.

My informative posts are not meant for them, but rather the casual reader who may not be aware of all of the facts.

I believe it is my patriotic duty to disrupt the attempts of the agitators to destabilize our country through their campaign of disinformation.

        • Wow, a person with a sense of duty, or, another dazzle them with your brilliance, or, baffle them with your bullshit artist.
