According to Fox News, the trigger man who allegedly murdered Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in 2010 has been arrested in Mexico. “The suspect, Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes, was apprehended by a joint U.S.-Mexico law enforcement task force that included the Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Marshals and the Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC). A $250,000 reward had been sought for information leading to the arrest of Osorio-Arellanes, who was captured at a ranch on the border of the Mexican states of Sinaloa and Chihuahua. U.S. authorities have said they will seek his extradition.”
It was Agent Terry’s death — after rules of engagement required him to fire bean bags at the five drug cartel members he was facing — that exposed the Obama Administration’s illegal Fast and Furious operation by which the ATF secretly ran guns south of the border. A program they laughably claimed was designed to follow the guns through to the cartels.
The actual motive behind F&F, according to the New York Post, was about abrogating Americans’ civil rights:
But internal documents later revealed the real goal was to gin up a crisis requiring a crackdown on guns in America. Fast and Furious was merely a pretext for imposing stricter gun laws.
A few members of the crew that gunned down Terry have already been caught, tried and sentenced.
Manual Osorio-Arellanes was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to first-degree murder in February 2014.
In October 2015, Ivan Soto-Barraza and Jesus Sanchez-Meza were convicted by a federal jury of nine different charges, including first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery.
Rosario Rafael Burboa-Alvarez, accused of assembling the “rip crew,” was sentenced to 27 years in prison after striking a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Osorio-Arellanes, who reportedly used an F&F gun to murder Agent Terry now appears to be in custody. But cartel members aren’t known for their volubility when interrogated by law enforcement. And then-Attorney General Eric Holder was held in contempt of Congress for his failure to cough up documents on the illegal op.
All of which means that while Agent Terry’s family may certainly find some peace in knowing his murderer will be brought to justice, we’re not likely to know any more than we already do. At least not any time soon.

The feds can’t get a death penalty conviction on a criminal they want from Mexico authorities. They will only hand over a suspect if the dealth penalty is off the table.
We could just lie. I mean, that wouldn’t be that shocking of a move for the federal government. When they complain, we’ll just say, “Fine. Y’all can have chuck schemer and do whatever you want to him.”

This arrest rises to the level of a full-blown international incident given the new administration, so it is in no one’s interest for this guy to have his day in court; not the cartels, not the Mexican government (but I repeat myself), not the ATF/FBI US authorites (and I repeat myself a second time).
At least the bastard’s knowledge isn’t worth a particularly interesting death to these guys, so it’ll be quick for him

Not really a good idea. My wife is a court reporter in criminal court. She has seen judges require someone who says something like that to sit in the gallery for the entire trial.
Actually, I strongly recommend that everyone sit in the gallery for an entire criminal trial or three, if you ever have the free time… it is a most eye-opening experience! The first trial I sat through left me stunned, reeling from it’s ramifications for days.
Anyone who thinks they will get a fair trial from our Injustice System is in for a rude awakening. Once you see the full power of the government stacked against someone, along with it’s near-infinite financial reserves, you’ll be shocked at what a pitiful class of attorney the average citizen is able to afford. The concept of fairness is nowhere to be found…

I don’t think it was the ATF that dreamed up the Fast & Furious operation. They did implement it, but I believe Obama and Holder dreamed it up.
