  1. It’s down here in the land of reasonable thinkers, Colorado Springs; not Denver. They’re a lost cause.

    Initial tallies: Senate District 11
    John Morse (D) 47.82%
    Bernie Herpin (R) 52.18%

        • Finding loopholes in the tax system and not paying additional taxes does not constitute theft. Our government from taking money from us and using it to fund whatever they feel like, is. Fix the government and the tax code, don’t blame the companies or individuals that legally use the laws to reduce their taxes

  2. The champagne bottles just got replaced with Jim Jones-Ade. Have a nice, long drink, you dumbsh*ts!

Has it sunk in yet that you went too far? IT WILL.

  3. Every republican ad in colorado next year MUST include Morse’s ridiculous “ignore them” comments.

    IGNORE THIS, A-hole!

  4. A huge victory for our side!

Coloradans just put the voltage back into “the third rail”. (It used to be said that the gun control issue was like the third rail in a subway. If you touch it, you’re dead politically.)

Maybe now politicians will start listening to their constituents again.

  5. Great news! Anti 2A legislators would do well to take note. Effing Syria BS is consuming National news otherwise this would be up there.

  6. Got two 502 errors trying to post:

How certain are we in these results? The Denver POst is showing both counts as really early and not “called”.

  7. this should give anyone pause for the coming 2014 election cycle… Don’t mess with the U.S. Constitution… or you will pay…

  8. I don’t want to be Debbie Downer, but as a fellow blood sucker, the lawyers have not weighed in yet. Trust me – there are a cadre of vampires lined up to challenge this in court using Gloomy Bloomie’s money. Unless those recalled decide to do the right thing, we may see the whole “hanging chads” fiasco drawn out over the next few weeks. But . . . that is ok, because a victory earned sure tastes sweeter.

Tomorrow – pray for Missouri – it is time to override the gov’s veto of our right to self-defense against tyrannical federal intrusion.

        • Rabbi, Ste Gen is about a one hour commute from STL. The place to live is Lake Forest Estates, and the rest is just not all that great unless you buy some acreage and solitude. Well maintained and populated with decent middle/upper-middle folk. 10 miles/minutes out of ‘town’ at any hour, and only about 30 minutes from Festus and all the chain nonsense anyone could want. Oh yeah, private lakes, you (used to anyway) be able to shoot down by the old schoolhouse, and it’s really rather pleasant.

Avoid Rocky Ridge Roach Ranch like the plague that it is.

Yeah, I used to live out there and commuted into the STL on a daily basis.

        • WB, Perhaps you are referring to ‘Lake St. Louis’ which is a West County STL ‘burb. Where Nelly (with money) still has a pad if memory serves. It has zippo to do with that, but rather it was cribbed from an inner-ring upper-crust enclave known as ‘Lake Forest’.

    • That’s right. A very big ‘pound sand Feds’ bill we hope to get through tomorrow. It will be challenged if passed but will be a strong message at worst, and possibly the beginning of a firearm freedom and states-right surge.

  9. Wasn’t Morse term limited? If giron isn’t booted this, combined with the common sense gun laws put thru in California will give new impetus to Federal level gun laws. If we can’t manage to overwhelmingly boot these 2 in a western gun state like colorado how much can we hope for 2014?

    • Well, big labor failed to recall Walker and they seem to be doing ok at the federal level. Recalls are weird local things, and as we saw with Walker, there are people who might oppose the politician but refuse to vote in a recall that isn’t initiated because of some misconduct, as opposed to bad policy.

    • Morse is term limited, but this will get him out a year early. Giron is in such a heavily democratic area that it would have been unlikely for her to have been unhorsed.

The fat lady doesn’t sing until the recounts and the lawsuits are done. . .

    • Giron will likely survive this, since she is from a heavily Hispanic and democrat district. Still, the numbers will hopefully get some of her peers’ attention. And to Morse: See ya, asshole. Good riddance. To the rest of the liberal idiots at the Capital, your time is gonna come. Next November.

    • Holy cow this could be huge….still to early, but can you imagine the gun grabber melt down that is gonna happen tomorrow in the news. I am going to have to stock up on gallons of popcorn for tomorrow!!!

  10. 11:28 Eastern Giron down 57 -43% with 25% of votes counted (28 of 112 districts). Let’s not get cocky but it looks like the tables may be turning.

  11. As of 11:34 PM Eastern, Giron is behind 57 – 43% with 25% of the vote counted (28 of 112 districts reporting). Let’s not get cocky but it looks like the tables may be turning>

  12. Meanwhile in California…There is no joy, the Tyrants continue to abuse with intolerable acts. Soon, heroin & marijuana possesion will be a misdemeanor, while a metal box (magazine) will be a felony, if these bills are signed… 🙁

  13. Holy shit! Looks like Giron is probably out too. I am damned proud of my state tonight. C’mon fellow Coloradans, lets keep this ball rolling!

  16. What a twist! I’m too much a pessimist to say anything hopeful about Giron, BUT her numbers did pretty much exactly reverse from 3-25% reporting. 43-57 from ‘no’ to ‘yes’

  17. And now, the end is here
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain
    I’ve lived a life that’s full
I traveled each and ev’ry highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

    Regrets, I’ve had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried
I’ve had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way,
“Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way”

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!

    Yes, it was my way

    • Cockles; little mussel-like shellfish. “…cockles and mussels, alive, alive-o”. What they’re doing in a heart is another matter.

  18. wonder what Giron’s spin will be. . . . she stated when the recall effort started that it was racist because she was a Latina (a wise one?).

  19. Tomorrow night on MSNBC:

Climate change, what is Jimmy Carter up to in his free time, George Zimmerman, Obamacare is great, Nancy Pelosi’s new shoes… Basically anything but these recalls. HAHAHA!

  20. Glad to see this happen, but the mainstream liberals will blame the NRA for putting money into the recall but, will have the MSM help them cover that Doomberg pumped more money into defeating the recall effort.Same old smoke and mirrors, blame someone else,Boobama is good at it too.Be prepared and ready.Keep your powder dry.

  21. This is great news. It is interesting how few votes were cast thus giving a tremendous voice to the few that made the effort to go out and vote. What is it that they say? 90% of life is just showing up? (Figures not verified by scientific studies.)
