While the “Million Musket March” may have been a fizzle, it looks like Adam Kokesh went through with his promise to open carry to the Capitol building. In this video, Kokesh is seen loading a shotgun and racking a round in the chamber down the street from the Capitol. It looks to have been filmed very, VERY early in the morning today. He closed with the words “see you next Independence Day,” possibly hinting that he plans to organize another march of armed civilians across the bridge into D.C. in protest of proposed and existing gun control laws.

  1. So who exactly is this guy anyways? I mean aside from the obvious that I already know, the organizer of the march that was supposed to happen today.

    • Your opinion, and you’re welcome to it. Something tells me you would have stoned Paul Revere. Your type was around, even then. You would have informed and railed against it; then, when it was successful, told everyone about your brave Revolutionary War exploits.

      • Not the same thing. The battlefield dictates your strategy. This guy has a great risk with zero chance of accomplishing anything for the cause. Not the case with Paul, as history showed. I would have ridden with Paul. Besides, is it real or green screen?

        • no reason to think it’s not real. 5 am on a federal holiday, hardly anyone around. make sure it’s clear, jump out the car, do the spot, jump back in the car. and use spent shells just in case.

        • It’s called civil disobedience. I’d rather this happen a million times over than see another brother die for liberty. You are nothing compared to Paul Revere.

      • William, we don’t see you riding up into DC with your AR-15 on your high horse. Coming back to reality part of this effort to keep the 2A is public relations. What Adam Kosesh is bad optics if it catches wind in the media.

      • Of course his march of civil disobidience fizzled. A huge majority might have voiced support over the anonymity of Internet (except for the whole NRA thing), but I think enough people were able to apply common sense and see a lose/lose situation. There is no way I would compare this guy to any of our Founding Fathers. If he had balls he would have made sure to do it at the Capital in full sight of uniformed police officers and let the cards fall where they may. Instead he realized no one wanted to participate is his suicide march, so he snuck into DC early and filmed near the Capital.

        • Yeah, he’s so stupid for disobeying bad laws. What an idiot, you gotta obey before you can make a difference!

      • Kokesh is an advocate for the ending of the drug war and legalization of drugs, specifically marijuana. He held a civil disobedience rally outside of the White House where a group of people openly smoked joints not long ago.

    • Agreed. If this goof wasn’t out getting high and attending a bunch of pro-marijuana rally’s he may have been taken more seriously.
I can see more support for an invasion than a protest, neither of which would of gained much support in this weak-willed nation.

  2. I seriously doubt that’s green-screened. The light and skin tone are so close to the backdrop as to make that virtually impossible. And there’s every likelihood that was D.C. early this a.m. DC and Richmond have been under this same, odd weather pattern for five or six days running.

Looks to be South Capitol Street, or a street parallel to it, maybe five blocks from the Capitol

    I’m calling it as real.

    • Have you ever been to Washington? It may be real but it isn’t South Capital Street. It’s Pennsylvania Avenue at 14th.

      • I worked in DC. Right around the corner from the White House. I went to more anti-Vietnam War demonstrations than you’ve eaten ham sandwiches. I may be wrong about the location, but I can stand up to your BS any day.

        • Then let me be the first to tell you: the Vietnam War is over.

I just think you needed to know.

        • The fact that you could mistake Pennsylvania Avenue for South Capital casts doubt upon your first statement. I know that the area has changed over the years but I am pretty sure someone who worked in DC could tell the street from the view of the capital. I am calling BS on you ever working in DC.

  3. Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.

I suppose, though, it was pretty ballsy to do it two blocks from the White House. He’s standing on the extreme NW corner of the plaza, at the intersection of Pennsylvania Ave NW and 14th St NW.

    • Yeah the whole…’Final American Revolution” I could have done without. Would have been better if he just said, “see you next Independence day” and maybe smiled. The angry disposition just makes my eyes roll…

  4. “We are (snick) the final (snick) American (snick) Revolution (snick).”

    Lame (snick). Just lame (snick).

      • Decades in prison? For racking a shotgun in DC? That doesn’t sound like civil disobedience, it sounds like Saturday night.

        • Maybe, but even here in gun-friendly WV a man was charged with making terroristic threats for open carrying an Airsoft AR (not even a real one) and was facing decades in prison. I can only imagine what the folks in DC would do to someone openly carrying and loading a shotgun and talking about a final American Revolution.

  5. I agree with Matt in FL….I’m keeping my mouth shut on this one.
But I do agree with above comments that an AR would have made a better statement.
Any techies here to judge if it was green screened?????? The suspense is killing me!!

    • If this was Washington he may have added a felony charge by loading an AR. 30 round mags are illegal and he wouldn’t get the consideration from the DA that reporters get.

Is it a felony to load a shotgun in DC?

    • It wasn’t green screened as I live close to DC in North VA and the weather in the video matches what I saw today.

      • Well then….things are going to get interesting real soon for this guy. He may get an orange suit and the nickname “twinkle toes”….
        Or a slap on.the wrist..

        • For what? MPD doesn’t even go after gun violators inside DC, much less outside the District. Unless. of course, they live in Anacostia or accost a Congressional intern.

Oh, and it looks like he took advantage of shift change. Real courageous, that lad…

        • He’s been arrested twice in like the past month for openly disobeying bad laws, I think he knows the risk.

      • I agree, although the video was low resolution, I didn’t notice any obvious anomolies along the outline of his body or shotgun that would indicate it, as well as no green or blue hues that one generally see with a quick green/blue screen edit like one see’s with the weatherman on the news. Also his facial shadow and coloring matched that of the surrounding location.

  6. That… was… hilariously… bad.

It made him sound like William Shatner with less stage presence. Doing it at the butt crack of dawn or whatever just takes away whatever effect and rebellious spirit was left over. Comes off as silly.

  7. A lot of people seem to think Kokesh is false opposition and I’m with them. The weed and guns thing is pretty stupid, no logical reason to put those two causes together. It only serves to hurt both, so if he supports both causes why would he work to undermine them with acts of exhibitionism?

My father smoked marijuana on ambush in Vietnam and self medicated with it afterward, he was a responsible gun owner and taught me everything I know. But not everyone can be held to the standards of a combat vet, certainly not all recreational drug users. He is out to make guns look dangerous to the average voter and fortunately nobody seems to take him too seriously.

    • “My father smoked marijuana on ambush in Vietnam”

So that’s another reason we lost the war eh? My dad was in Vietnam from 68-71. He said loss of morale other than not being able to fight the war using military strategies and instead politics, was mainly due to intoxicated soldiers. Drug use actually caused units to create clicks, those who used and those who didn’t, and it caused great stress, confusion and even insubordination which caused many of the US deaths over there.

Quit pushing pot as something harmless. It has no place in the same conversation with guns. Choose one of the two and be done with it.

      • For the record my father was a highly efficient killer in Vietnam, decorated and personally interviewed and commended by Elmo Zumwalt.

SEALs he escorted preferred to get completely drunk to psych themselves out, but that wasn’t ambush and it was booze, beer or coca-cola that was safe to drink. He was in the Navy as a component of MACVSOG, they had ARVN guys embedded with them and they smoked too. They also slept two guys to a hammock and had long pinky finger nails. It was a different time and a crazy war.

Marijuana is not some devil drug, everyone on my father’s boat fought well and served with distinction, but drug use in general certainly undermined the effectiveness of the infantry. There was much more in circulation than marijuana, you had heroin as well.

As for “Guns and Weed dot com”, wow that is really stupid. It is an open secret that tons of vets, who are also gun owners and enthusiasts, use recreational drugs. They will continue to do so, because those guys like to party.

Like I said about fake-ass Adam Kokesh, and he is a FAKE, drawing attention to this stuff only serves the enemies of liberty. Doing it with production values that low will have even sympathetic, potentially useful idiots running for the hills. I mean, I watched a fraction of that video and it was just really, really dumb…

  8. We had the right to carry in DC for a long time. Why is this such a problem?

I see almost every poster here being critical of Kokesh. He is the one with the SPINE to DEMAND THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS that is unconstitutionally prohibited! An unconstitutional law is supposed to be no law at all, but Americans are so weak willed that they won’t do anything. Then, when someone does, all he gets is criticism from cowards who will not stand up.

    • I think most of the criticism isn’t so much that Kokesh did this, but the fact he did it at early in the morning and far from the Capital. If he wanted to live up to his own words he would have marched up to the Capital, the White House, or one of the monuments at high noon to make his point. Instead he come off as a halfway courageous and half cowardly. “Oh yeah man, I loaded that shotgun and racked round. You should have seen it: 0600 hrs and the streets were empty. I AM THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION!”

People were freaking out over David Gregory having an empty AR magazine on meet the press; just wait until the liberal media and gun grabbers get ahold of this.

    • He isn’t demanding a damn thing. He snuck a shotgun in in his car, hopped out at some ungodly hour, made his 22 second video, and skedaddled before anyone could give a crap. I’ve seen high school skater punks make bigger stands. This is silly posturing for keyboard commandos.

I thought his original idea for a march was stupid, but it had balls. This? Not so much.

    • My issue with Kokesh is that he made this big stink about marching on D.C. Solicited donations, which he got. Childishly insulted and defamed anyone who disagreed with his march. And then didn’t do it. Did he send back those donations? I think not. He is a great speaker, and has some good ideas, but at the end of it all he’s an attention whore that drums up controversy for profit.

    • Wow, impressive.

      Man up Tom.

Haul your silly kiester up to DC, pull out your AR, lock and load, in front of the White House and let us know how it turns out.

Be sure to leave a mailing address so we can send you postcards to the psych ward where they lock you up.

  9. The problem is one man doing it means a court case and jail time, DESPITE the DC law being unconstitutional, and results in no change. Gun owners apparently will not risk anything to get the government to follow the 2A in DC. I am not okay with not being allowed to carry there. I write my check to the NRA and I still do not see them pushing for unlicensed DC carry. There has been no progress since DC passed the law! We are going to have to take action or continue to lose. Politicians understand this unwillingness to act on the part of gun owners and results in the new Colorado gun laws. Those new laws blatantly flaunt Colorado’s constitution, yet everybody obeys!

    • We get it; you’re the President of the Kokesh fan club. How about you put your money where your mouth is, step up, and organize something? Succeed where Kokesh failed; you go into DC and lead by example because you’re the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now… “Do it for Tom RKBA!!!” will be the rallying cry of gun owners everywhere.

” Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you’ll live… at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin’ to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take… OUR FREEDOM!” or guns.

    • The problem I have and I think it is one our founders faced. I am law abiding, yet there are unjust laws that compromise my beliefs, my morals, and my rights.

I am stuck trying to decide if the cost of complying is greater than the cost of defying.

More and more I am seeing our government do unacceptable things. There are laws and court rulings that are being made that I see as qualifiers to set the Right of Revolution into motion. I see a nearing grim end of this nation that was once the home of the brave and land of the free.

We are nearing $17,000,000,000,000 in debt. We are abandoning our allies and supporting our enemies. We are ignoring our founding documents that are to keep the government in line. We are failing our Duty as Citizens for the next generation.
