Gun Control Group Moves to Block Missouri’s Constitutional Carry – “The Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund and the Missouri chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, both funded in part by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, released an ad urging lawmakers to vote against the measure. The legislation would allow any adult who is legally allowed to possess a firearm to carry one on their person without first obtaining a state permit. It would also expand the state’s so-called “Stand Your Ground” protections to include public places.” Bloomberg doing what Bloomberg does…namely throwing his money at various states to sway votes and thwart firearms freedom. Meanwhile, in the “gun safety” paradise that is California . . .

Sammy Davis Jr.’s pistol is turned in at L.A. gun buyback program – “The Rat Pack member’s 1911 .45-caliber pistol was one of the weapons turned in for Ralphs grocery store gift cards during the events held in Mission Hills and South Los Angeles.” Another one bites the dust.

When it comes to concealment holsters, there are numerous options available and a variety of individual preferences – inside the waistband, outside the waistband, straight-draw, forward cant, thermoplastic, leather, hard clip, soft loops, and more. High Threat Concealment has simplified the decision-making process by creating one holster to fill a variety of roles, but without the typical compromises – the HTC EVO Holster.

Guns are banned, but are Oklahoma lawmakers packing? – “‘I won’t name names, but I know for a fact that they (carry),’ said Rep. Sally Kern, a conservative Republican who says she doesn’t necessarily disapprove of lawmakers who carry guns at the Capitol. She said several colleagues have admitted to being armed. ‘I take my colleagues at their word.'” So while, as the story notes, even plenty of gun rights-supporting legislators want to keep the capitol a gun-free zone, they tote there with impunity. Laws for thee, but not for me.

UT Regents Delay Decision On Campus Guns – “Regents said they needed more time to consider proposals at the flagship campus in Austin that allow teachers to ban weapons from their offices, and prohibit keeping a bullet in the chamber of a semi-automatic weapon.” It seems some faculty members haven’t really gotten in line with the spirit of the new law. Closed minds can be hard to educate.

  1. Seems some OK legislators are in need of tar, feathers, and a spot on a rail car.
Those carve outs would have our founders rolling in their graves.

  2. Missouri will not take kindly to out-of-state statists running their mouths. A lot of folks fail to realize that the state, other than STL and KC, is basically entirely rural. I live over a hundred miles from the nearest city greater than 20,000. The Ozarks are nice, plenty of freedom.

    • Yes, Missouri will not take kindly to out-of-state statists running their mouths. But Missouri politicians are, like politicians everywhere, the best that money can buy. And Bloombag, who is one of the richest douchebergs in the world, can buy a whole lot of politicians.

    • Also, STL and KC have the numbers to control a state ballot initiative against the whole rest of the state. I lived in MO in 1999 when Prop B, the first MO shall issue concealed carry initiative, was on the ballot. The pro-gun forces had about five times the funding than the anti-gun forces, thanks to the NRA. The whole state, except for STL and KC voted for it, but those two cities carried the day and it lost by 3.3%.

  3. You should use a different picture for the UT campus carry section. The one you have looks anti-gun and makes me wonder what side if the debate you’re on.

    • Ummm, that’s the photo that the linked article used. Yes, it is meant to be anti-gun–that’s UT for you (and the Dallas AP/CBS affiliate that penned the scary article).

  4. …Meanwhile, in the “gun safety” paradise that is California . . .

“Gun control” . . . Not “Gun safety.”

Gun safety is their term – not ours and there is nothing “safety” about it. It is control. Controlling who has guns, what kind, in what manner. It is all about government control.

  5. Talk about gun deaths: I can’t believe the proglodytes have murdered Sammy Davis’s own 1911. We’re dealing with barbarians here.
