Definitely more entertaining than the zombie targets . . .

  1. That was an epic used of thousands of dollars of specialty equipment! I so want one, or ten lol

  2. I like it. There should be a whole obstacle course set up where one shot activates the next target, for like 20 targets in a row.

  3. Now if he could make a baby alien that pops out of someone’s chest and slithers across a table, that would be totally awesome!

BTW, the best thing about that movie was Sigourney Weaver in her underwear.

  4. So, were you going to give the guy who made it credit, or were you just happy for people to just assume you made it?

    • It should be pretty self-evident, the shooter didn’t pile-drive the gun into the ground at the end.

  5. A pop-up target? Really? And the alien is not even coming towards him.
How does that pass for cool? An alien flying out of that egg is coming for
you, not flying away from you. Cool, would be having that target flying at
you and threatening your life. A spring-loaded zip line that was anchored
above and from behind you would be cool. If the alien is flying towards
you and the distance to engage it decreases rapidly, then you would have
a cool shooting scenario. Having someone else controlling when the alien
pops up would be even cooler yet. Making the alien out of a light-weight
foam with several lengths of builders string line pulled by a 5 lb weight
would be much cheaper to build and would rate a lot higher on the FPS
coolness. And if you shoot the string line, replacing it would cost pennies.
I don’t have thousands of dollars to spend. For the cost of a couple of
clothes line pulley’s, two 8ft 4×4 posts, and some string line, a far more
realistic FPS shooting scenario could be achieved. Using half gallon milk
cartons full of sand would serve as the 5 lb weight that activates the alien(s). If you want a more lively alien attack, use an elastic cord to attach the alien to the string-line. When the weight drops, that sucker is going to moving. Now that would be cool. But then, I was never afraid of clay pigeons that were flying away from me.
