    • “Clinton indicted” opens up a #10 can of worms.

We need her not indicted, but wounded to *win*.

Her dropping out is bad news for us. If that happens, Elizabeth Warren will be tough to beat…

(I just don’t think they will let Bernie have it)

      • Elizabeth Warren, are you kidding me? She is a joke, has never addressed her claim of being 1/32 Cherokee, cashing in on the housing bubble flipping houses, $365k salary for teaching 1 class a week at Harvard she is now worth $10 million she is the 1% that she rails against. Even here in MA there’s a feeling of “who the hell elected her?” Not to mention it’s way too late for her to organize a credible campaign.

        • Look, I agree with all that (and more).

          But…

Watch them try to make her presentable…

  1. You can say the words regardless.

In fact, no matter who wins, a large chunk of the country won’t consider the victor “their” president, I’d guess.

    • I’ve never felt any politician was “mine…”

But then again, I’m not wealth, so I do not have the means to own one.

    • She obviously can say the words now, so waiting is unnecessary.

Reminds me of an “old” joke: I’m afraid my short-term memory is going, and so is my short-term memory.

  2. “…I want to say these two words: Madam President.”

Damn. That gun shot did more damage than we initially thought.

      • Giffords lax stance on immigration control has contributed to many deaths in the US from cartel operatives and thugs. The real carnage hasn’t even started yet.

  3. Gifford’s support for Clinton has nothing to do with getting shot. She has always been a Clinton supporter.

      • Politicians never see their own errors, they only see options and opportunities to capitalise on the misery of others.

  4. ” I pray that there will come a time when a person will be judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin”, or (sexual parts).

Well, our last president was voted in because of the color of his skin, definitely not because of his character(or lack, there of)

The same for Hillary; if she wins, it will be because of her being a woman, and not because she has shown any aspect of character beyond that of bring a criminal, a traitor and enabler of a serial rapist and an abuser of women.

Sorry MLK, that time is not yet.

  5. TTAG publishes articles roughly every hour between 9am and 9pm (eastern). I see them all and read about 80%. The ones I read trigger my emotional scale somewhere between amusement and mild outrage, depending on the topic.

The only articles that cause me to veer out of that range are the articles about Gabby and her puppeteer Space Cadet Kelly.

Parading one’s brain damaged wife around to advance a social cause is infuriating. I don’t care if it was her opinion before or still is her opinion after her injury.

And this isn’t a comment on editorial stance, or a statement that these articles shouldnt be written. It’s a statement that Space Cadet Kelly is an absolute asshole in his actions.

    • I have never cared for the Mr. Clean boys. Their careers were advanced because of the shooting, probably under orders from the top. NASA has become a political agency.

    • I cannot agree more. This is a form of abuse, the use of a crime victim for political gain and whats worse all of this designed to take rights away from the people. This is a physical manifestation of the ‘waving the bloody shirt’, only with a living person.

      Disgusting.

And to add insult to injury all of this by the guy who just loves him some high-power AR-15 and 1911 hardware with high capacity assault clips to go along with it.

No doubt, being an astronaut makes him highly trained and capable of handling such things. You and I should just rely on rocks and sticks. Must be nice to be one of the chosen few.

    • ^This^

I try not to think about it. It makes me rant-y.

      /rant
Its despicable that just like there’s no talking about the current President’s policies, because he’s black, thus you are a racist; and there’s no talking about the presumptive D-party nominee’s policies, history, current or past scandals, health or coherence, because she is a “she”, thus you are a sexist; there’s no talking about the shooting that brain injured Ms. Giffords, because she’s brain injured, thus you are a terrible person.

      O K. I am a terrible person.

Giffords was before the shooting a named obsession of a known whack-job, who herself chose to orchestrate unprotected public appearances in crazy-guy’s neighborhood, because it suited her politics. At one of these, she got shot, other people got killed, some people had to make the terrible choice to do what they could, out-gunned, and it ended only when the crazy was stopped by force.

Crazy-guy was crazy n dangerous, but Giffords was dumb, reckless, and high-handed. The fact that she got hurt drunk-driving her car up a tree — to make an analogy — doesn’t make the drunk-driving any smarter. Indeed, the results remove all doubt. The fact that she got other people killed with her self-indulgence is hateful.

(I’m O K with remaining disarmed on principle … and accepting the consequences for yourself. You don’t get to orchestrate maximum vulnerability, on purpose, then whine about what happens. Imposing vulnerability on other people is like driving drunk in traffic: you own what happens to them, too, now. Getting other people killed, then parading around your own injuries for sympathy is impossibly cynical. Parading around yr brain-injured wife is … I can’t even find a term for this.)

Her choice to flail about in the real world as if not a target also got other people killed. That’s at least negligent. If she understood this and put other people at risk anyway, to make a policy point, well that level of indifference to others makes one the opposite of a saint.

Because she was also harmed — now cynically trotted out as the mascot of a “cause” that gives her hangers-on and handlers a pretty nice lifestyle for not doing much — none of this is discussable. Bring it up and you are a “hater”, thus shut up.

      O K. I’m a hater. Goes with being a terrible person, I guess.

I think Ms. Giffords was, and is, tragically misguided. “Hate” I reserve for her opportunist hubby, handler.

I can’t decide which is more dispicable, using your brain-damaged wife as a meal ticket, advocacy for policies n ignorance that got yr wife shot, or being so willfully committed to maintaining your meal ticket’s virtue-signaling in cloud-coocooland that you let your wife get shot and a bunch of others killed in the first place.

As for policy, whatever Ms. Giffords n hubs were doing got her shot n a bunch of other people killed, thus maybe they should shut up on safety issues. They appear to be bad at that.

  6. Well she can use those same words if Hillary, Bernie, or Ted Cruz wins. Trump is the only man who actually threw his hat in the ring. I don’t like Trump, but you can’t deny he’s the only one running who isn’t a complete wuss.

  7. Math is hard…especially with half a brain. I have no problem with a gal being president-but not this one. Hillary for prison2016!

  8. Its nothing but sad.
The world can be a harsh, harsh place to live.
Got to be tough to make it lady, sorry you got shot but you don’t get to tell me how to protect my loved ones.
Everyone alive today owes it in some part to someone else who picked up a weapon at one point in history and used it against some a hole hell bent on harm.
That’s just reality. Live in it.

  9. “Speaking is hard for me…”
She never seems to waste an opportunity to pimp her condition, does she?

  10. Just because some politically connected splittail got popped in the noggin I have to deal with a traitorous, lying, sociopath for president? Blow me gabby ya mentally crippled walking bloody shirt. Your thought processes are not trustworthy.

  11. I suppose with the new transgender laws and whatnot, she could call Trump Madam President. I cannot guarantee that Trump will like it, though. But really, I doubt the Secret Service would allow this loon to get close enough to Trump to be heard. 🙂

  12. I look forwad to upcoming pieces from Space Cadet Kelly, featuring the families of the people killed in that attack, celebration of the folks who slowed and ended it, and a thorough investigation into the pre-attack behavior of the shooter, and the (lack of) security provided for a known, named target, his wife, in public.

For bonus points, S C K can investigate the whack-job shooter’s manifesto, and politics in contrast with the stories and “analysis” in the press around this event. Maybe a documentery, with un-Stewarted interviews.

Surely, in the name of completeness and truth, these things are coming. Otherwise S C K would be just another opportunist and hack.

    Oh, wait…

  13. I despise politicians who exploit crises for personal and/or political gain. I especially despise those that use them to attempt to strip citizens of their unalienable rights. Giffords falls into both categories. As for her husband, his participation in this scheme is shameful. He once swore an oath to defend the Constitution. A pox on them both.

  14. I am glad to see her speech therapy is progressing. By this time next year maybe she can work up to four or five word sentences.

(yes, I am going to hell for that one. If any of you get there before me save me a seat)

    • To not exactly quote Zappa, “If there is a place where a guy with pointy horns and a pitchfork conducts his business, the fires burn for them, not for you and me.”

If there is some deity, and it actually cares what you do, then the punishment is surely to be meted to this complete wanker who uses his brain-damaged wife as a publicity stunt. Not to folks who point that out.

  15. “I want to say these two words: Madam President.”

The Donald is going to be pissed when she calls him Madam.

  16. Pick Clinton for gun safety?? You mean pick Clinton for civilian disarmament?

    http://youtu.be/wZpBBGF0_UA

Also – they were not “automatic” weapons. Hilary knows this and she’s lying… Again.

Also – it’s not a “buy back.” The government didn’t sell the guns to us in the first place so it goes to show they wouldn’t be buying anything “back.” The government doesn’t own everybody’s guns in America.

And of course, whenever a criminal shoots someone with a gun they stole – we need to sue manufacturers:

    http://youtu.be/IENOtdE3MR0

And, according to Hillary, the Supreme Court is wrong on heller vs DC. Heller determined it is an individual’s right to own guns unconnected with service in a militia.

    http://youtu.be/IDE68bGgg-Q

So… conclusion? Hillary is looking to get rid of guns in the US. Dominate the gun manufacturers and dominate the people’s ability to possess firearms.

  17. Rhetorically…why do people give this domestic-enemy mouthpiece any attention at all? Ignore it.

Attention and giving visibility to it simply provides it a platform and provides it public recognition with which to vomit up its subversive hissing.

    • why do people give this domestic-enemy mouthpiece any attention at all?

Because she’s a novelty. The zombies on The Walking Dead can’t speak, but she can.

  18. The willingness of the anti-gun lobby to continue to dance on this woman’s tragedy is pretty disgusting.

You don’t typically see pro-gunners taking joy in showing dead perps, but rather celebrating that *innocent people* were able to keep themselves from *grave harm*.

    See the difference?

  19. I’m sorry that she was shot and others were killed but I’m not going to be guilt tripped into supporting her politics or policy preferences.

The simple fact of the matter is that if you want to deal with [gun] violence and suicide there are ways to do that but they are not the ways the Democrats and gun-grabbers talk about. The fact that they won’t discuss any actual solutions is proof that they aren’t serious about the issue and are only interested in political grandstanding.
