“Generation Z experts David and Jonah Stillman have conducted extensive polling that indicates that such voters will be much less beholden to the traditional political construct of Republicans vs. Democrats. ‘In fact, we suspect that this will be the most active yet politically independent voting block in modern American history,’ Stillman told me. The fact that Bloomberg has been an early and outspoken critic of America’s gun policies will only further enhance his station with these young political activists.” – Arick Wierson in Why 2020 may be Michael Bloomberg’s best shot at the presidency [via cnn.com]

  1. The pod eaters are the same as the previous Spacoli wannabes and love in pot heads. They only care about the next high, the next fad, and the next sexual encounter. The political class love this barnyard class because they don’t want to know the nasty truth of reality and pain.

      • In perticular, no. In general, yes. Why do young people do stupid things? Because they’re stupid. Why do adults do stupid things? Because they’re stupid. When the younger ones get a better grasp on life and have more assets, you know, grow up, then they’ll conform to the usual progressive vs freedom construct.

      • I do…A couple of my relatives on my moms side of the family. They were all polish and had numbers on their arms….They remembered zyclon-B……

      • I came here to say something similar. This “political independence” they talk about may not exactly be heading the way they want. Certainly most non-white Gen Zs seem to be as left wing/Democrat as all other non-whites (that is to say, more than 70% are left wing for any given non-white race), but the white Gen Zs (though they may be less than 60% of the Gen Z population) have been polled multiple times and have been shown to be quite “conservative”. But if you read what they write online, you might notice that they have a quite different take on “conservative” than the current Republicans do.
A lot of them seem to have noticed that the Founding Fathers had a hell of a lot more in common with what the media currently calls “Nazis” and “the alt right” (see every single immigration bill until the late 1800s, the Federalist papers and even the Constitution mentioning “our posterity”) than with the neo-Con, globalist, pro-war, pro-immigration Republicans/Democrats of today. I guess we’ll just wait and see how it turns out. Perhaps the Dems and half of the Republicans will have there way and will be able to import enough people that they fully shift the political spectrum and won’t have to worry about people valuing their rights, their people and their culture.

        • The Gen Z kids are the biggest players of the ‘first person shooter’ games.

They can’t wait to be of age to buy their own guns…

  2. “this will be the most active yet politically independent voting block in modern American history”

    does not necessarily lead to

“critic of America’s gun policies will only further enhance his station with these young political activists”

In most states, for all practical purposes there are only two parties, neither of which line up perfectly with every voter’s preferences, especially those who are fiscal conservative and social liberal (in the classic, not modern, meanings). So how an independent will finally vote can often come down to a perception of lesser evil.

  3. Michael Bloomberg is turning out to be the biggest enemy of the US Constitution in history. The money he is spending on gun control is staggering. In Nevada alone he has six full-time employees dedicated to removing our 2nd Amendment rights.

    • My question is…where does a Michael Bloomberg come from? He’s a suit-and-tie wearing old man, what shaped his world view to be the way that it is? I can see an ignorant, no “real world” experience, ahistorical high-school student being lead around by the nose, but for an old man to have those sorts of views? What caused that?

      • Bloomberg comes from a lust for power and control. This is the guy who tried to ban the Big Gulp “for our own good”. To paraphrase Tom Kratman, in the family of man he sees himself as the father figure and us as the children.

      • He’s the modern Hurst, that’s all. Rich-as-God media mogul who earned and now protects his riches through manipulation of public perceptions (investing is also very much a media con game, so rather than starting wars like Hurst, he exploited insider data on market trends like a congressman)

        • Hold on now, Hurst shifters were great on the old muscle cars back in the 60s and 70s, they weren’t a con! They were better than the original factory parts.

Oh, wait, you probably mean Hearst?!? As in William Randolph Hearst?

          Never mind.

    • Probably the only politician remotely as pants-soiling to Republicans as Hillary was, so yeah, probably the only guy who could convince Republicans to nominate Trump a second time. (in case it’s not obvious, people don’t make the wisest decisions when scared out of their minds, and instead instinctively cling to whoever appears the bravest, regardless of their abilities)

      • I would say he is actually worse than Hildebeast. Not only because of his anti-2a crusade, but he has also shown his tyrannical leanings with his sugar bans and other nonsense from his time as mayor.

    • Agreed, Bloomberg would put NY and maybe California in play. The Democrats would be wise to nominate him. For all his nannyism and anti-Second Amendment stands he is very pro business and growth. That is why they won’t nominate him plus his pro Israel positions.

Every so often a “third party candidate” catches the opinion makers’ eye but it’s just for ratings. Like Gary Johnson, Bloomberg will go nowhere

  4. If you think Trump absolutely ran over losers like Jeb and Little Marco in 2016 (and he did), he’ll have Bloomberg in the fetal position pretty early on if he tries to present a primary challenge. If there’s anything Trump has shown the American electorate that has chosen to observe, it is that the candidate, and not the money, nor the party in the final analysis, is the most important issue. Speak to what is important to most voters at the time and don’t try to act like you know what’s best for them. Try to be one of them, I’d love to sit down for a bit with Trump, we could talk about all sorts of things. Sit down with Jeb, Mitt, Bloomberg, Schumer, or any of the other ‘mainstream” freaks? Not me.

  5. Still waiting for our so called Pro Gun President to walk back his assinine comments green-lighting an end to DUE PROCESS , age restrictions of ADULTS Freedoms and moves to ban ” PARTS ” deemed not P.C.

To many gun owners are giving Trump ( and NRA ) a Free Pass on selling us out , NOT ME !

    • Unwad your panties and relax.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, what Trump says in front of the media usually has nothing to do with his agenda. His rally speeches will give you a far better insight into predicting what he is up to.

      • Keep drinking the 4 D chess kool-aid ….. he said what he said , FLORIDA Adults 18 – 22 have been INFRINGED as a direct result.
( with more states following as fast as possible )

Your argument is full of fail.

        • So because Florida Republicans cucked and sold you out, that somehow falls on Trumps shoulders?

You might as well be blaming the Jews.

  6. The reason I like a 30-06 over the .308 is because I can push heavier grain bullets faster with the ought six. For some reason the .308 seems to kick more, to me anyway. And with the right powder we can push the 06 close to the .300 Win Mags.. Intrinsic accuracy used to go with the .308 , however with the modern propellants available that edge is slight. I’m with Craig Bodington, there’s not much you can’t do with an ought 6

  7. Oh please! Who the hell is gonna run him? The Democrats? The Greens? That man has way too much baggage to be elected to anything again.

  8. The American (indoctrination centers) education system, court system, major main stream media, major urban centers, much the political system, are controlled by the left. Americas youth are brainwashed and being pushed towards a society akin to Soviet era Russia. Sadly, they don’t even know it. It’s just a “thing”.
    Our America is dying!
Now enjoy your bag of potato chips, while sitting on the couch, DOING NOTHING!

    • It works exactly like that. Now go back to your potato chips, if you can eat with your head that far buried in the sand.

    • “It is to be expected that advances in physiology and psychology will give governments much more control over individual mentality than they now have even in totalitarian countries. Fichte laid it down that education should aim at destroying free will, so that, after pupils have left school, they shall be incapable, throughout the rest of their lives, of thinking or acting otherwise than as their schoolmasters would have wished. But in his day this was an unattainable ideal. . . .

In (the) future such failures are not likely to occur where there is dictatorship. Diet, injections, and injunctions will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible. Even if all are miserable, all will believe themselves happy, because the government will tell them that they are so.”
      – Bertrand Russell, The Impact of Science on Society, Simon and Schuster, 1953

  9. “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the Public Treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the Public Treasury with a result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy always followed by dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence:
    • From Bondage to Spiritual Faith
    • From Spiritual Faith to Great Courage
    • From Courage to Liberty
    • From Liberty to Abundance
    • From Abundance to Selfishness
    • From Selfishness to Complacency
    • From Complacency to Apathy
    • From Apathy to Dependency
    • From Dependency back into Bondage”
Generally attributed to Alexander Fraser Tytler Lord Woodhouselee
Fortunately for Americans, the Founders established the United States as the historically-unique and purely “American” Constitutional Republic form of government.
From the archives: “That they, the criminals in the streets and criminals in the seats of government, will not lay down their Arms—We the people, as Freemen / Freewomen and Citizens dare not, must not lay down our Arms.”

  10. God I hope Bloomberg gets the nomination in 2020. This guy is the very definition of “nanny state”. Americans might put up with his anti-gun stuff but no way will our fat asses put up with his sugar bans. All we need is for Trump and Republicans to keep control until 2024 and by then we should easily be able to get a 6-3 or even 7-2 Supreme Court swing in our favor for gun rights. Outside of that, we just have to make sure Trump doesn’t kill us with his idiotic trade wars and we should be good to go.

  11. Bloomberg in 2020? I just don’t see how. The guy is like the epitome of an elitist. He is like an elitist’s elitist.
