Americans’ Second Amendment rights will be front and center in the November election as 2020 presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden made it official, announcing U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) as his running mate. The pick means Democrats will nominate one of the most anti-gun presidential tickets in modern history, placing Sen. Harris a heartbeat from the presidency.

She will also swing a heavy hammer to forge a platform that will punish the firearm industry and quash gun rights.

Sen. Harris tried her best to knock Biden out of the Democratic primary, but she dropped early after failing to gain voter acceptance and running out of campaign cash. More recently, she’s warmed up to her former rival and crows Biden’s praises on Everytown’s Veepstakes town hall appearances.

Golden State Gun Gaffes

Prior to her election to the U.S. Senate, Harris served as a prosecutor and then as California’s Attorney General. Despite these prominent law and order positions, she lacked basic understanding of the Second Amendment in a state with some of the strictest gun control in the country.

She proclaimed she’d close by executive order the “online gun loophole” to stop “domestic terrorists with a laptop” from being “a click away” from purchasing a gun. There is, of course, no online gun sales loophole as all firearm purchases must be completed with a face-to-face transfer and completed background check from a federally licensed firearm retailer.

As Senator from the Golden State, Sen. Harris also focused her online antigun efforts on the gun control bogeyman “ghost guns.” These are actually unfinished and unassembled parts hobbyists and gunsmiths have used since the founding of America. Sen. Harris joined with fellow gun control advocate Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) to introduce S. 3473, the Untraceable Firearms Act, despite the Department of Justice confirming they are “very rarely used by criminals.

Eliminate the Firearm Industry

Sen. Harris shares several gun control goals with Biden that make her a perfect fit on the ticket, perhaps none more consequential than her desire to go after “gun manufacturers and dealers that break the law,” matching Biden’s goal of eliminating the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA).

The law protects firearm manufacturers and retailers from frivolous lawsuits that are actually designed to harass and punish manufacturers for the consequences of crimes committed by individuals. It’s much like holding Ford accountable for the damages caused by drunk driving incidents.

Biden wants the same thing, calling the firearm industry the enemy from the debate stage, and making sure the elimination of the PLCAA was included in the Democratic National Committee platform as he heads the ticket.

Sen. Harris is also in lockstep with Biden on other platform pillars. She’s for reinstating the failed 1994 Assault Weapons Ban that Biden supports, even though it was shown not to reduce crime. She declared she would deem anyone selling more than five firearms in a year to be a firearm dealer and require them to run background checks and would punish those who don’t comply with her edict.

Dismissive of Voters Concerns

Sen. Harris doesn’t seem concerned about gun voters. She dismissed American voters and their legitimate concerns about personal and community safety.

While speaking with Moms Demand Action’s Shannon Watts on her Everytown Veepstakes audition, Sen. Harris nodded along and agreed as Watts demagogued and belittled the millions of Americans who have purchased firearms in 2020, including more than 2.5 million who have done so for the first time. Responding to Watts, she stated “It’s not grassroots. It’s a façade. It’s a front for some other agenda. It’s not real.”

#GUNVOTE in November

With less than 90 days to go until the election, voters know they can’t risk their rights and the consequences a Biden-Harris ticket would bring to Second Amendment rights. NSSF launched the #GUNVOTE online resource to make sure voters are educated before they cast their vote and don’t risk their rights.

    • Meh. I’m not worried. The Biden/Harris ticket is too wonky to succeed. He was chosen by the DNC only to prevent Sanders from advancing, and she was chosen specifically for her gender/melanin aspects (Biden said so himself). He is slowly losing his grip on reality, and she is an angry person with an axe to grind against domestic American conservatives. I don’t see either one of them being able to navigate the complexities of a Presidency involving global interactions.

      • While I agree with your assessment, none of it means they won’t be elected … just that they’d likely do a lousy job if they were.

      • I wouldn’t say “worried”, that’s too much surely. “Concerned” is more like it, but that goes for either side winning this thing. Both are bad, but one has going on four years of disaster going against him and the trending of even friendly polls say it has hurt him badly.

I would plan on putting a lot more support into the GOA, SAF, other pro SA groups of your choice in 2021, and of course down-ticket Republicans.

Oh, and I’m going to push the button on that AR-10 and a pile of magazines I’ve been holding off on buying. Palmetto State Armory just had a heck of a buy at $850, and better options for not much more.

        • White liberals and the white left have no idea. They are clueless as to the thinking of black people in general. Trump got %14 of the black vote in 2016. In 2020 the black vote for Trump will go up to %20 of the black vote at least. Black men are not going to vote for Harris. And not for Biden either. There is a revolution going on. But not the kind you are thinking of.
          Trump 2020

“Black men Will Refuse to Vote For Joe Biden Since Kamala Harris is Vp” video 12 min long

    • Ensure you all do the good and proper thing to give Ms Harris the respect she deserves.

When you type it, it should be Harris/biden. Not Biden/Harris.

Harris is a woman, and a person of color. That makes her Superior to biden, so her name should come first. Also the names of whites nor the term “white” are not to be capitalized. Only Black and Minority names are now to be capitalized. Capitalization is a tool of supremacy, and we must ensure the supremacy of minority races to correct past injustices.

This was very clearly stated in a recent CNN article which now dictates all language policy across the globe.

        • I don’t believe this is the real miner. Sounds as goofy as the real guy. But it ain’t him. I don’t think.

      • Well, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

But I have to point out, you inserted a space between Miner and 49er, thereby compromising your lame attempt at impersonating the one and only Miner49er.

Of course, the fact that the content was little more than prattle should be your first clue.

The genuine article always sites facts that stand the scrutiny of research.

      • That sounds like Debbie W, not Miner.

The proper way is the Presidential candidate first, the VP second, nothing else matters, all else is bullshit.

  1. Joe / Ho ain’t gonna win. These two are the worst candidates they could have selected.

I’m so happy; a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

    • He should have selected Tulsi. I wouldn’t vote for them, but at least we’d get some eye candy during the debates/campaign.

    • The VP pick is usually a strategic pick. As others have pointed out, there is zero strategy to picking her outside of playing the woman and race card, which tells any normal person all you need to know about democrats.

      • It’s the race card. A bunch of high vis blacks (entertainers, athletes and such) wrote Uncle Joe a letter saying that unless he picked a woman of color as his VP, he could kiss the election good bye.
She was not brought on to bring California voters, she was brought on to buy black voters, and she is more palatable than the pother two choices, one of whom was a life-long Marxist Castro supporter.

      • The actual very left wing Democrats are seriously pissed off about this. Harris is far from their choice, no where nearly progressive enough. They will vote for the ticket, but their displeasure will carry over into Congress where their fight to push more to the far left will continue.

Because right wing people are expected to despise left wing people these days, they also tend to believe their own narratives about them. That is a mistake, and it is hurting the right wing today, in the polling, where the shift to center is being seen.

        • “Harris is far from their choice”

And Joe was? Yet he immediately embraced the Bernie crowd. I seriously doubt Kamala is some super principled person that wouldn’t embrace any left wing idea that she thinks would help her win the election.

“Because right wing people are expected to despise left wing people these days, they also tend to believe their own narratives about them. That is a mistake, and it is hurting the right wing today, in the polling, where the shift to center is being seen.”

Gee enuf, thank you for the expert analysis. If only “right wing people” were as enlightened as you. Please explain to us their beliefs, narratives, how they make mistakes (but you don’t), and how you know all of this.

        • Dude, a hell of a lot of very knowledgeable right wing people are saying and writing these things all over the interwebs, and other places. It is in these extremely narrow chat boards and blogs that the tunnel vision takes over.

Reminds me of the health care battle with Obama. For all the noise coming out of Fox News and assorted professional bloviators on both sides (especially the far right), the opposition that kicked the fight over into the next year, that nearly derailed the effort entirely, was the left wing faction demanding universal single payer/single provider coverage or nothing. Those votes were the hardest for the Obama faction to win, and they did not get all of them. They practically sold the farm to gain two Republican votes that they should not have needed at all.

There are many factions on all sides. Some are downright tribal, all are unscrupulous, and a few, flatly insane. The reality is that American politics and political parties are far more complex than the tunnel vision of a specialist, single issue chat board like TTAG could hope to reveal.

And why would it be any different? This place is supposed to be about guns, not pandemics or all the other endless shit that gets brought up that is not gun related.

        • “The reality is that American politics and political parties are far more complex than the tunnel vision of a specialist, single issue chat board like TTAG could hope to reveal.”

Do you find it burdensome to be the only person on here that knows what’s going on?

  2. I know that a Biden Presidency will;

Have control of Customs and Boarder Patrol
Tell them to “Open” the boarders to anyone in the world
Allow the states to be flooded by illegals
Which will, like California, flip Red states Blue
Ensure Democrats win the House, Senate, and all future Presidential Elections
Allow the Democrats magical mystical wizards to pass all the gun control they want

When all this happens I will place blame and fault upon all those who handed Trump the Presidency because I DON’T CARE!

Seriously, I hate the excrement Trump so much, that I DON’T CARE!
If my head is stuck so far up my ass that go silly, I DON’T CARE!

I crawl out of the same pit of excrement everyday to lie, because I hate him so much

Why? Because he is really just like me!

  3. He selected a moron just like him. They both refuse to understand what “Shall not be infringed” means. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ!🤣

  4. Of course it was her, the bad plastic surgery roll out was an indicator. If your gonna be a pit demon, you gotta look the part, just ask Hitlery.

Both her parents were here on student visas when she was born. I would say she is ineligible to be V/POTUS/POTUS but as we have seen so was the former sodomite-in-chief and Ted Cruz, yet here we are.

She is a great candidate to use when they challenge the election, have the blue states succeed based along electoral lines, throw the county into civil war. If they fail, they didnt ruin a good future demonrat candidate. If they win, by hook and by crook, creepy Joe steps down due to health concerns, and now the demonrats have the first black (not really) female POTUS that is so power hungry will do whatever, whenever, whoever tells her to. Ala, Willie Brown and the rest of her torrid past participating in quid pro quo.

She is another that believes and states so with complete authority that the 2A is for hunting.

I look forward to the fun just beginning. Train up, prep up and team up.

  5. Anyone with half a brain can see the media concocted excitement is an effort to sugarcoat two piles of marxist dog poop.

    • Never, ever under estimate the power of stupidity in numbers. Black and Free $hit are powerful dog whistles for the Government Plantation Dwellers of all skin hues.

Never, ever under estimate the power of Demorat vote manipulation. President Johnson went back three times to a West Texas precinct until he got enough votes to win his first Senate bid. They’ve had 60+ years to perfect their techniques. It’s time for The Big Illusion. Mail in voting just reduces the drive time and mileage.

  6. I’m sure those 2.5 million new firearm owners will all be happy to hear that they’re “a facade” and “a front for some other agenda,” and that they’re “not real.”

Also, I was almost right a year ago when I said Kamala Harris would be running for president.

Sure, she was a lousy campaigner and her own side hated her and she flamed out early in the primaries, but I pointed out in the very beginning that she checks the all-important Social Justice boxes in addition to having big connections — both of which are more important in today’s Democratic party than either performance or popularity — and now here she is, on the presidential ticket.

Also, since Creepy Joe isn’t going to last a full term, it’s almost like she’s actually running for president…and it’s almost like I predicted this whole election-season fiasco all along. Almost.

Also of note, it appears that she has dual citizenship in Jamaica, since her parents were Jamaican. If true, that would make her ineligible for VP or Pres. I wonder if any “reputable” media outlets are going to ask her to clear up that little constitutional conundrum?

    • Her mother is from India. She was born here. She is long past the age to choose alternate citizenship, assuming she had such a right.

    • Does not matter what country her parents were citizens of. She was born in Oakland, California. That’s it, end of the citizenship test.

People are constantly inventing nonsense on this question. They did it to John McCain for being born in Panama. He was not born in Panama, he was born in a US Military base within Panama but still US soil, with our flag flying over it.

They did it to Ted Cruz for being born in Canada. But that too was bullsht. Because if just one parent is a US citizen you are a US citizen wherever you are born.

This sort of thing comes up every Presidential Silly Season for one candidate or another. People spin up made up, imaginary requirements that cannot be found either in the Constitution of any Federal law or case law.

Maybe Trump will win, maybe not. The smart thing to do is plan for an old fashioned fight for gun rights in the House and Senate. The way it used to be before the GOP went entirely insane and embraced a Domestic Enemy for the White House.

      • Since she was born in the peoples republic of commifornia, I would have to disagree, commifornia is a foreign country and anyone leaving for the other states is an illegal alien. Just ask the chicoms.

      • “They did it to John McCain for being born in Panama.”

Serious question. Did that make them racists? Didn’t democrats claim it was racist to question where you were born? Or do those hypocrites just toss around the racist insult like it’s going out of style?

      • There will be no old fashion fight if Harris wins. That means the Democrats will have control of both Houses of Congress and the Senate Democrats will eliminate the filibuster. Besides, Harris said she can just sign an EO and send in the Army to confiscate guns.

You keep calling Trump a Tyrant. Has he closed Churchs or used the FBI and the IC to attack his political rivals? Has he defied a court order while that order was in force? Tell me what tyrannical deeds has he done.

If anybody wants to know why blue state residents never change their voting habits you are Exhibit #1. You vote for them and then fight them like they always have and they win the fight every time.

        • “Tell me what tyrannical deeds has he done.”

He complains about the press, and he has no right to do so? /sarc

      • Trump prevented a Domestic Enemy from getting the white house. And now you’re trying to ensure that two more domestic enemies get that office.

Your plan for fighting gun control is brilliant. Give up every advantage and then start fighting an uphill battle to get it back. Brilliant. You are the Domestic Enemy.

      • What I heard was that Jamaica does a similar thing to the US in that citizenship is automatic if your parents had citizenship at your birth, no matter where you were born, which hers apparently did — so legally speaking, unless she’s renounced it, she’s a citizen of another country as well as the US.

And if she is a dual citizen, then as far as I know, legally she has to renounce it or she’s not eligible.

If this is the case, you *should* be able to expect the press to follow up and press her on taking care of it. But of course we can’t. Alternative sources that the mainstream will deride as conspiracy theorists, yes — but I can guarantee you won’t see the establishment outlets saying anything about it, and that goes double if it’s a real thing. Watchdogs of the republic and guardians of democracy, they ain’t.

        • And birtherism who lives!

Are you still looking for Obama‘s birth certificate as well? You know, Donald Trump sent a special team to Hawaii to find out exactly what was going on and they haven’t been heard from since. I guess they took a three hour tour on the SS Minnow…

And what happened to that Russian agent who was pushing your lame birth certificate scam, haven’t seen her in a while…

      • Just for you Enuts.

The fact that Senator Kamala Harris has just been named the vice presidential running mate for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has some questioning her eligibility for the position. The 12th Amendment provides that “no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.” And Article II of the Constitution specifies that “[n]o person except a natural born citizen…shall be eligible to the office of President.” Her father was (and is) a Jamaican national, her mother was from India, and neither was a naturalized U.S. citizen at the time of Harris’ birth in 1964. That, according to these commentators, makes her not a “natural born citizen”—and therefore ineligible for the office of the president and, hence, ineligible for the office of the vice president.
Do you think Kamala is a natural born citizen?
        Yes No

Wow – that blew the lids off of the heads of many liberals which no doubt led to the disclaimer. Eastman adds:

The language of Article II is that one must be a natural-born citizen. The original Constitution did not define citizenship, but the 14th Amendment does—and it provides that “all persons born…in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens.” Those who claim that birth alone is sufficient overlook the second phrase. The person must also be “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States, and that meant subject to the complete jurisdiction, not merely a partial jurisdiction such as that which applies to anyone temporarily sojourning in the United States (whether lawfully or unlawfully)…

Iy has been commonly understood and accepted that at least one parent just be a naturalized citizen, both parents were here on student visas, which is what I said two days ago. Debate over.

      • “Does not matter what country her parents were citizens of. She was born in Oakland, California. That’s it, end of the citizenship test.”

Not everyone born in the US is automatically a citizen.
        https://www.npr.org/2019/11/15/779788549/judge-rules-that-u-s-born-woman-who-joined-isis-is-not-a-u-s-citizen

“They did it to Ted Cruz for being born in Canada. But that too was bullsht. Because if just one parent is a US citizen you are a US citizen wherever you are born.”

Better check the nationality charts. Being born abroad to a US Citizen doesn’t necessarily make you a us citizen.

  7. I’m not so secretly excited about the Poedsta/Pelosi secession plot upon Trumps win.
    Same old Democrats.
I wonder what would come of their scheme if the red states just said “okay, you do you.”
If there’s one thing a screeching lefty hates it’s being ignored.

      • Reagan- Hughes Ammendment in FOPA, publicly and actively endorsed the ‘94 “Assault Weapons Ban” and encouraged Congress to support it
Bush- March ‘89 Semi Auto Import restrictions and the Section 922 Calculus that came with it

        • So you don’t recall that guy in office from 1992 to 2000? And barry was only kept in check because his team lost the House 2 years into his run? Not that he didn’t try his hardest with fast and furious and EOs.

  8. Kamala’s hair must’ve smelled the best! But realistically, she’s just the last commie nail in evil Uncle Joe’s campaign’s coffin.

  9. She was chosen on the basis of sex and the color of her skin.

Selecting her doesn’t change my vote. Mine still goes to Trump.

  10. Biden picking Kamala Harris as his running mate is the same-same as a massive campaign donation and endorsement for President Trump.

  11. With even hardcore DemonRats buying guns and ammo like candy on sale 2 for 1, she’s a great choice for Shotgun Joe… He’s got a better chance of getting pregnant than winning this election. Excellent.

  12. Kamala Harris single-handedly banned the sale of new semi-auto pistols in California beginning in May 2013. Her “certification” that microstamping technology as detailed in the statute was available was fraudulent, but that did not stop her. She posted her anti-gun manifesto on her website when she was running–and it is probably still there, which includes everything Everytown could want, except for the complete ban of all firearms.

If Joe wins, and when the DNC decides that Joe is too addled to continue, she will be our next president.

  13. If the republicans are smart (questionable) they will play up the anti 2A issue. If the democrats are smart ( HA HA) they’ll downplay the 2A issue in an effort to keep any new gun owners on their side, those who are uninformed as to the the Dem position of repealing any right that they don’t agree with.

  14. She dropped out of the presidential race as she couldn’t muster beyond 2% yet as Joe’s VP will get backdoored into the Presidency via the 25th amendment when old Joe loses it in dye time

  15. I don’t think Biden will make it over a year without handling it over, as at least I’m sure that’s their plan anyway.

  16. Kamala Harry@zz is qualified because she was Willie Browns willing willie warmer. As most of the political class are prostitutes ,it’s nothing new under the sun for her and she’s qualified.

  17. Go! Go! Willie Browns “side piece” and his Handmaid’s Tail. I look forward to seeing 20+ year old pictures of them together.
The Left will do far more opposition research on her than any conservative group will do. Trump 2020

    btw
Harris was NEVER pro police. She is a despotic democrat opportunist.

    • She’s anti-humanity and pro whatever gives her power — the epitome of today’s Democratic party.

A vile, corrupt opportunist who is such an inept campaigner and so easy to hate that she washed out of the presidential primaries with less than 2% voter support. But since she has deep connections in the progressive machine and checks the “diversity” boxes — which matter to the Democrats far more than competence or mere votes — the DNC is going to back-door her straight into the presidency if Biden wins.

Now that’s something the voters are really going to be excited about!

  18. The day after she was selected as VP candidate Rasmussen releases their usual survey. Support for gun control at 52%, -12 from last year and -4 from the recent historical average.

  19. I have a pet theory- Biden’s handlers know that this cluster that is happening in major cities is going to provoke a backlash against the whole protest nonsense. They want to get ahead of it by having a ‘law and order’ candidate on the ticket. Far-left whiners and the media are complaining that she put black men in jail. Okay, who are they going to vote for instead, Trump? Meanwhile the middle of the country that is tired of seeing cities go up in flames because democrats sit back and do nothing might be more likely to go out and vote for someone who at least has some history of enforcing laws.

Her views on guns probably don’t even enter into consideration.

    • Possibly. Her record on prosecuting criminals is impressive. Her agument against the Death Penalty and in favor of Life Imprisonemnt? Entirely fiscally based, with hard numbers behind. On that point, she sounds like an old fashioned fiscal conservative.

Which is the better deal? $137 million a year to fight all these death penalty cases or $12 million a year for the same cases as Life In Prison?

She’s still anti-gun, which is bad.

      • Maybe. Unless you consider taking money to bury sex abuse cases against the Catholic Church to be problematic.

Personally I see it as a bit of a stretch to call a pedo enabler a “law and order candidate”.

It’s kinda on the same level as calling Jeffy Epstien a “crusader for children”.

      • My opposition to the death penalty is the same: it just ain’t worth the cost, not when compared to the cost of incarceration for life. The point is to take these monsters out of circulation, and I don’t care one way or the other, from a morals standpoint, how that is done. If locking them up until death do them part, then lock them up. Kind of the modern version of the oubliette.

And this is to say nothing about the fact that drug companies are making it difficult to perform executions, and I don’t think the majority are ready for a return to Sparky or the hangman’s noose.

      • “Old school conservative..”

Right. I was wondering what you’d come up with to defend Harris, and now I see it.

You’re going to go with, well she’s anti gun, BUT… and give a slew of BS reasons why she’s better then Trump.

The problem with you is, you think you are so much smarter then everyone. You are not. Everyone can see through your clear motivations.

        • He’s obviously a shill pretending to be a conservative. Not that I’m for the death penalty because I’m not, but I don’t need some dressed up “conservative” viewpoint to be against it. I have my own reasons. Partisan political ideologies are dumb. Go with what is practical and morally right.

      • Ya great prosecutor, she had a real flair for suppressing evidence that would have cost her convictions after all.

    • Personally I think it flat out confirms the theory that the democrats ultimate goal in all this, is a New Federal Police force.

Harris would very much be in favor and push for such a thing. This is true communism at work.

Create a problem, then solve the problem with a new draconian government solution.

The current violence and rioting are apart of that equation. Make the police not only evil, but incompetent. Keep this going until after the election, the propose this new radical solution to “normalize” the situation.

After all, between Covid, the riots, and crime, that’s what everyone wants right? Everything to just “get back to normal”.

And when federal boot comes down, they will say, “now the situation is normalized”…

This is straight out of the communist playbook.

      • If you imagine for a moment that such a thing comes to pass without resistance then you still end up “out of the frying pan and into the fire”.

Given the economic issues the pandemic has created via asinine responses to it I imagine that the underlying structural fiscal, monetary and economic issues the country has failed to deal with properly since ~1945 finally hit the breaking point. Especially with the promised policies of the Biden campaign which will massively accelerate those problems.

A Biden administration, IMHO is just another word for “Progressive” administration and at this point the country collapses under such prescriptions within a year, two at the max if other countries race us in the retard Olympics.

And then your only hope is a valid passport and a decent escape plan along with the skills to make it work.

        • ” A Biden administration, IMHO is just another word for “Progressive” administration ”

Biden is a long, long way from being a Progressive, same as Hillary was (yeah, she gave it a lot of lip service, but Progressive? No way). The real contest going on inside the Dem party is the old established Clinton (Bill, not Hill) machine versus the upstart Progressives (Lipstick Lenin, Bernie [sort of], et al.) Biden is part of the Clinton machine up to his eyeballs.

Bill Clinton put this country on the globalist neo-liberal track, and every president has been on board with it ever since. Hillary was supposed to ride it to its culmination, but Trump poured a bucket of sand in the gearbox. And that’s why the Dems have been going apoplectic trying to get him out — he’s undoing thirty years of carefully crafted global agenda by going back to a tariff system. No open borders, no more free-flowing capital and labor — the whole thing comes undone. The Dems had a perfectly good plan to put us all back on the plantation, and it was working until Trump took it apart.

And that’s what this election is all about. Racism, BLM, LBG issues — even guns — is just a sideshow designed to split us up and keep the focus off the real threat. If the Dems win, they are back on the globalist track, and Biden is the perfect lackey to let them do it. Kiss all your futures good-bye, you’re back on the plantation, hopelessly caught in a debt trap with ever-decreasing wages and no way out. The company store will own you. If Trump wins, we still have a chance to dodge all that — slim, but still a chance. Either way we all end up broke.

        • What Ing said.

Progressives are just like Neonazis in that they’re totalitarian assholes who come in slightly different flavors of shit.

From your point of view it doesn’t much matter but to them it’s a larger issue of the the “true” ideologues are. They’ll cut each other’s throats over what appear from the outside to be petty differences. Kinda like POTG or “Conservatives”.

    • I’m, sorta, playing both ends against the middle. BOTH candidates are a no-win situation for me. One way is that we know the Dems want to take our guns. But, look at the other side, Trump has shown no love of the 2nd Amendment, i.e., the executive order to ban bump stocks and considering them to be machine guns. Also, Trump has shown a clear pattern of running roughshod over the clear mandates of our legislative process. It has been clearly stated by the media and people thinking through the process that Trump has satisfied the definition of an autocrat-in-the-making as shown by his desire for a third term and his, almost certain, desire to make a hash out of our election process.

And, finally, I come to my point. WE should all fear what may/can happen. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Trump may CRUSH the 2nd Amendment to ensure the chaos that would follow a contested election. Trump is probably the most bellicose president in the modern era, excluding Bush the younger, and his single-minded desire to invade Iraq. He most certainly would want to to protect his executive fiefdom, no different than a feudal lord…or autocrat.

      • He MIGHT want to do that (which is unlikely), but there is no question that the democrats WILL. If the Democrats win, they will take that as an affirmation of their entire legislative agenda, which includes massive gun control proposals and a ban on “assault weapons.”

        • ed p is our newest ‘reasonable’ troll. He’s trying not to sound to obvious but he’s an anti gun troll.

miner and enuf are just more direct about it.

      • “Trump is probably the most bellicose president in the modern era, excluding Bush the younger…”

Where are you getting that from? What wars do you think he’s started? Trump hasn’t started any new conflicts that I know of, and he’s actually done quite a bit to draw down our involvement in various endless quagmires.

Bellicose is a fine word, but I’m afraid you don’t understand what it means.

      • I honestly do not see Trump going that far. Not so far as trying to hold onto power in so extreme a fashion. Maybe he’d fight in court to contest an election loss, but that is all. Trump is inherently a coward, he only fights when he can do so with surrogates, preferably using other people’s money (he has bragged about this point).

It is true that Trump is not a gun person and has no love of the Second Amendment. He has been a Democrat, supported Kamala Harris in her earlier races (at the behest of Democrat power players). But if he is anti-gun it is only as a tool of the moment, just as he was pro-gun when it got him $30 million out of the NRA. I do not see Trump making the call that going all-in on anti-gun, anti-Second amendment action would help him. He’s a lousy President and a complete piece of shit, but he’s not an idiot.

As the coward he is there is no possibility that Trump would go that far in angering a hundred million (or more) exceptionally well armed Americans, and a fair contingent of the military backing them up, with an outright attack upon our Liberty. Trump and the few he listens to would see that as liable to bring about an armed, conservative driven insurrection.

No, he’d be too scared of his own security detail saying a “FUCK YOU” to that eventuality.

      • OMG “stated by the media” well damn it must be true then!!!!
And all you got for Trumps anti 2A bona fides is bump stocks? How did we ever defend ourselves before bump stocks right? To hear people scream about bump stocks you would think they had been around since the Battle of Lexington and Concord.

  20. We know that the Democrats want to crush our 2nd Amendment rights to “Stop the Gun Violence”. And, keep the riff-raff from defending our rights. What’s to keep “the Donald” from completely abrogating our rights to maintain his fiefdom. Keep in mind his serious consideration of a third term, his already announced determination to make a hash of our electoral process, and, wait for it, his considered desire to be added as fifth bust on Mt. Rushmore. It’s been said that the one spot left is too unstable to be used. But, how appropriate, an area that can’t be used due to its instability, for what could be, arguably, an unstable man.

    • Trump’s mental defects do not tend toward suicide. Taking actions that would likely light the fire of armed insurrection against him personally, and one that elements of the military would support, are not something that Trump would ever do.

He’s a coward, after all, but not an idiot.

      • So you admit he would not do something to become a tyrant after how many post screeching how he will become a tyrant just so you could throw out a coward insult? You cognative dissonance truly astounds.

  21. I guess not every Lefty is a fan. The Daily Mail has an article headlined, “It’s the middle finger to BLM and progressives.”
I was in a doctor’s waiting room yesterday. The office staff was having a conversation, “Did you see Biden picked a running mate?” “Who?” “Kamala Harris.”
The next thing I hear from the waiting room, “She’s a fu<king cop."
Maybe Biden forgot his strategy was courting Bernie bruhs, BLM, and "defund the police" protestors.

    • Well, the reality is that no opposition wants to admit the other side is anything other than an singular, unified voice of madness.

The reality is that both political parties have many factions. They at times fight each other, which weakens them. Biden picking Harris sends a message alright, to the very far left. A message that they are not going to get much out of this ticket.

If the factional fighting weakens them in Congress, that is to the advantage of defending the Second Amendment. How well we take advantage of the in-fighting is anybody’s guess.

  22. We should be concerned. Dems are pushing for mail in votes which is very open to unregulated fraud. No way to confirm a voter is legal. If Biden makes it to election day, mark my words within 6 months he will be deemed incompetent by his own party and Kamaltoe Harris will be POTUS. She is a communist at best, what legislation has she submitted, I think it was a memorial, that’s it. Anyone considering a new revolution? Am I the only one excited about the next revolution? Bring it, I am enjoying life. .

    • Aren’t there lists of eligible voters in each state? In my part of the world, if you want to vote, you register with our federal electoral commission and your name is marked off when you vote. If you make a pre-poll or postal vote, you voter validity is checked.

      • Yes, theoretically votes are all checked against the voter registration rolls, but those records are often badly outdated and inaccurate.

At least with in-person voting, you know you’ve got a real person whose name is on the precinct’s list. But with mail-in ballots, there’s no way to know whether anyone is checking at all or whether the ballot was filled out by the person it was sent to.

        • You lose the secret ballot with mail in voting. Another reason not to do it. Democrats are notoriously intolerant of views different from their own. If you’re in a left wing dominated industry, like Hollywood or tech, then you’re unlikely to publicly express conservative views if you want to keep working. Even if you aren’t in a left wing dominated industry, democrats love to cancel people they don’t agree with.

        • There’s also theft.

The last time I moved states I had two previous states (New Mexico and Ohio) sending me applications for absentee ballots. New Mexico was easy. Getting myself off their voter registration was simple as hell.

Ohio kept me for years over my protests. Finally in early 2012 I thought I had won. And then, in the Fall of 2012 I received something I didn’t expect: an absentee ballot from the State of Ohio. Not an application for one, the actual ballot. WTAF?

Well now, come to find out that New Mexico never actually purged me either. Under the new governor (Grisham) apparently there was a move to “restore” people who had been improperly removed from the voter rolls. So what shows up at my parent’s house this Spring? An application for an absentee ballot for the primaries. My dad forwarded it to me just to piss me off because he knows how hard I fought to get off that list after moving out of the state.

I don’t trust mail-in ballots at all. There’s far too much room for error, incompetence and fuckery. Ballots can be filled out by people who are not the intended voter and so can applications for the ballot. Sure, it’s illegal but how the hell are they going to catch everyone that does this if they mail out tens of millions of ballots?

I mean shit, NY found at least 1 in 4 of their returned ballots to be highly suspect this year.

We’ll have to see how it all works out but I honestly don’t worry about this that much because for widespread fraud all in one direction to work the coordination would need to be large and it would be obvious. Heck, they couldn’t even pull this off in a truly clandestine way with one state back in the 1960’s. Nor is it exactly a secret that dead people voting has been a thing in certain precincts for… well, ever.

      • Individual states handle the voting, so it varies. Democrats prefer loose rules and outdated voter rolls. Well run states purge voters that are inactive over four years to keep it clean.

      • Guys, thank you for answering my questions.

I’ve often joked the Australian Electoral Commission should offer to run other country’s elections to make sure they are as fair as possible. I’ve worked on most State and Federal elections since the early 1990s and I know the process at the polling station level.

    • More nonsense. Mail in voting has existed since the Civil War. Parts of this country and entire states have been doing substantial mail-in voting for many years. Fraud has not been an issue. Proven cases, court cases and convictions have barely touched one tenth of one percent at the worst anywhere you look.

Colorado is big in the news right now. How would anyone pull off mail voting fraud there? Each county prints their own ballots and envelopes, and they are different from each other. A fraud operation would have to hit at least the big population centers and plenty of the suburban areas too.

All ballots are signed by the voters. All signatures are compared to signatures on record. The work is done by bipartisan teams, Republican and Democrat. The signature verifiers receive training from FBI instructors, or retired FBI.

The optical scanning machines are isolated from the internet. The ballots in clear plastic boxes. The operations in large open rooms, guarded and watched by representatives from both parties.

And, once again, the record is that any voter fraud is so tiny as to be insignificant. Typically amounting to someone voting in two districts or two states, or the wrong district.

Vote fraud hasn’t been a problem in the USA for a long time. Used to be, but America outgrew that crap.

Now it’s all about Voter Suppression, that’s the new threat to American elections.

      • You and your pesky facts, you’re a real party pooper!

You realize, openly discussing the reality around us is very frightening those lost in their conspiracies and delusions.

It’s much more fun to believe that there are secret conspiracies that are holding good folks back from success, rather than admit their lack of success and happiness is due to their inability to acknowledge reality.

        • Voter suppression is a fact? But somehow that’s not as bad as voter fraud? Frauds a conspiracy but suppression is a fact?

How much is Trump paying you to make the left look stupid?

  23. Coming soon here in the USA:

“Effort to Disarm Communities in South Sudan Fuels Deadly Clashes…

At least 81 soldiers and civilians were killed as the authorities carried out a plan to try to reduce the number of weapons in circulation in a country recently pummeled by civil war….

The violence comes weeks after President Salva Kiir announced the start of the extensive disarmament effort.”

  24. Harris is the perfect pick. Basement Joe is having a problem remembering to zip his fly. Harris will be there to do it for him. Yeah, she’s perfect.

  25. Yawn, you tantrum-throwing failed-adults and your superlatives. Anything you want you act like it’s life or death. I’d wonder what you’re like during rare instances of real adversity but I’ve witnessed that spectacle; you go limp and fantasize that a magical victory awaits you somehow, be it a lottery win or an afterlife where you’re rewarded and others punished.

  26. Harris-biden is a huge spit in the face to everyone outside of the urban corridors of the northeast and left coast. I am sure the Trump side and maybe even some of the media will bring forth plenty of dirt on Harris. Maybe just maybe every single gun owner will get the message and vote accordingly. Maybe all males and the millions of real women who live in the rest of the country. I hope for more riots like in Chiraq – they tend to make suburbanites nervous and could help Trump in states like MI, PA, etc. We the people need to turn out en masse to vote.

  27. Biden’s main squeeze, wonder who her pimp is going to be in the administration, she must of spread her legs really wide, or proved she could suck a bowling ball through a fire hose, a token black face to appeal to the moronic liberals! Biden’s always been a piece of sh#t now its a senile piece of Garbage

  28. Just once more for the cheap seats.

It has been commonly understood and accepted that at least one parent just be a naturalized citizen, both parents were here on student visas, which is what I said two days ago. Debate over.

  29. You think gun and ammo sales are brisk NOW?
Wait and see…if these two get elected…the period from election to taking office is going to empty every shelf…
