If you’re buying a car, you test drive it first. If you’re interested in an expensive bottle of booze or a box of nice cigars, you’d likely consider a taste at a bar or purchasing a single stogie first. Unfortunately, try before you buy is difficult or impossible to do with firearms, unless you know someone who owns the one you want.

While that fact may be good for TTAG’s gun review traffic, it would be ideal if prospective buyers could take guns for a test drive before breaking out the plastic. Well, Bergara will be hitting the road to do just that:

The Bergara Experience, Free Public Events Coming This Summer

The chance to get hands on and test drive a Bergara B14 and the Premier series of rifles is coming to North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama firearms enthusiasts at three public ranges.

Lawrenceville, Ga. The first event will be held this weekend, August 5th at Woody’s Hunting and Rifle Club in New Hill, North Carolina and the next one is scheduled for August 19th at the White Feather Precision Shooting range in Ardmore, Tennessee. The final Bergara Experience for the month of August will be held the 26th at the Barbour Creek Shooting Academy in Eufaula, Alabama.

  1. Yeah … I’ll place a wager they’re not coming to my home town any time soon – too small.

But if they hit Denver or Albuquerque it might be worth the drive.

  2. I’m only 3.5 hours from the NC location, but three days’ notice is too short for me. My next rifle will most likely be a Bergara anyway, but I’d love a chance to shoot a few of them first.
