An attack on our Constitution is an attack on our constitutional republic itself. It has become evident that non-stop Democrat Party attacks on the Second Amendment and gun rights are part of a larger disrespect for the Constitution as a whole. Yet is it merely a symptom, or a disease itself?

The Second Amendment is both the proverbial ‘canary in the coal mine’ and the last gatekeeper of freedom. It’s time that we start connecting the dots.

Democrats have a pattern and practice of attacking the reality of our Constitution, the bulwark of our Republic. Although they attack the Second Amendment with the most vigor, they loathe a litany of provisions found in the Constitution.

With the latest round of liberal tantrums about President Trump exercising his constitutional authority by nominating another Supreme Court justice for the vacancy left at the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, we find them bucking, yet again, clear and concise language set forth in our most precious governing document. Article II, Section 2, clearly sets forth that the President has the power to nominate Supreme Court justices with the advice and consent of the Senate.

Bickering over whether or not the President has the power to nominate a Supreme Court justice in an election year is only one instance in a larger pattern of lawmakers ignoring and flouting the clear language of Constitution.

Additionally, Democrats dislike the “no religious test clause.” It is made clear that religion may not be considered for judicial officers. The “No Religious Test Clause” within Article VI, Clause 3 establishes that “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification of any office or public trust under the United States.” In 2017, during Circuit Court nomination hearings, Senator Diane Feinstein of California infamously said to Judge Amy Coney Barrett that “The dogma lives loudly within you” regarding her Catholic faith.

Judge Barrett is considered a leading contender for the now vacant Court seat.

Make no mistake, Senator Feinstein is a dyed-in-the-wool gun-grabber. She is coming for you, Mr. & Mrs. America and she wants your guns.

When Democrats don’t get their way, their first impulse is always to change the rules of the game. That’s why they’ve targeted other parts of the Constitution as well. They’ve called for the elimination of the Electoral College. Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution establishes that the Electoral College is the formal body that elects our President and Vice President.

Do you see a pattern here? Connecting the dots? Democrat lawmakers have a nasty habit of pretending that our Constitution, which is a veritable instruction manual on powers enumerated and things the government is restrained from doing, doesn’t exist…at least when its provisions prevent them from maintaining their political power.

It has now become part of the Democrat Party platform to not only ignore the mandatory language (shall) of the Second Amendment, but to outright attack individual gun ownership. As we already know, Joe Biden has stated that Beto O’Rourke will be his gun confiscation czar. They are coming for our modern sporting rifles. “Shall not be infringed” could have been written by the Founders as “may be infringed under certain circumstances,” but it wasn’t. End of discussion.

You need to connect these clearly visible dots. An attack on our Constitution is an attack on our constitutional republic itself.  The Second Amendment ensures that the power remains in the hands of The People. We are ‘The People’ and we must recognize what is now afoot and what is at stake.

  1. Democrats (communist party USA) do not consider the Constitution of the United States to be the law of the land. They do intend to overthrow the constitution and establish their socialist (marxist) utopia. They are up front about calling for violent revolution which they intend to win.

    They have attacked and will continue to attack every facet of our constitutional republic until they succeed.

    They have been working for the last 80 years and have achieved most of their goals. They think now is the time for the final step, take full control of the government.

    If they succeed in November the next four year will be an endless succession of laws to make sure conservatives never control congress or the presidency again. They have publicized some of their steps and, if allowed, will keep them in control for generations.

    Get everyone out to vote this November.

      What Leftists fail to understand is, that’s very last thing they want to do.

      If it gets to that point, the clock starts ticking on events that have very real consequences.

      We know this, because US history has gone through this kind of thing before.

      Example – “When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

      Exhibit A – The naked contempt the political left has for the opinions of fully one-half of this once-united nation.

      “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

      That right there, in stark black-and-white text, is the ‘Bail Out’ option the founders created for us if things got out-of-hand and a government turned to naked tyranny.

      At that point, one of two things will happen – This nation splits peacefully, or not so peacefully. We’re reasonable people, we can come to an arrangement, but it will be on our terms, not theirs.

  3. The Senate can establish criteria for accepting a nomination, not confirming, but accepting. Senate rules can be written that any nominee that does not check-off certain items of qualification, will be ignored, no hearings or vote taken. The constitution only states that the Senate will advise and consent. So….”This nominee does not meet our criteria for a serious candidate, and is thus disposed of as follows: Advice – Provide another nominee; Consent – no.” Constitutional obligation satisfied.

    Or the Senate could create a rule that all nominees will have an up/down vote within 72hrs of notice from the president; no debate allowed. Or…establish a rule that floor vote will be held within two hours of notice from the president. If the nomination is received any time the Senate is not in session (as determined by the Majority Leader), the nomination is rejected without further consideration.

    Nothing in the constitution declares that a single political party cannot establish a permanent form of government, only that it be republican. Thus, one political entity, or another, can establish itself forever as the ruling, only political party…all done by voting (whatever that means).

        Precisely. The Senate rules over nominations, regardless of presidential wishes. How difficult would it be for the Senate to declare themselves not in session, have the president fill an SC vacancy one day, and the Senate back in session the next day, ending the presidential appointment?

        Art II, Sec 2, Cl 3 is not an end around, but a stopgap mesaure, the gap determined by the Senate.

        • Well they’d have to, at least, declare themselves in session and then out of session again because the appointment runs until the end of the next session.

          I’d have to consult the rules for the Senate on how quickly they could do that. I’m sure it’s possible but it would take some maneuvering for sure. This requires a motion for adjournment sine die which I think is a form of “adjourn for more than 3 days”. That requires a concurrent motion with the House (that is, approval of the House and the Senate).

When government officials, whether elected or appointed, behave like car chasing dogs, the Constitution is there to jerk them up short. At least, that’s the way it’s supposed to work but it depends on a Supreme Court with the courage to stand up to the government and a populace willing to vote out of office any politician who dares to subvert the Constitution.   20. I’m an ardent republican simply because of their overall stance on gun rights. Frankly, I don’t give a crap about tax breaks, government handouts, and abortion rights. I voted democrat and was raised accordingly until they took a hard line stance on gun rights. I was not raised in a gun friendly household by any means. When I went to college, I chose to buy a shitty Ruger LC9S and didn’t have much of an opinion one way or the other. I sold that gun to buy a Glock and eventually an AR15.

    With ALL of that said, I don’t see the issue with eliminating the electoral college. Obviously, Trump lost the popular vote but still won the electoral college vote. This is a matter of fact that is not up for dispute. Regardless of that outcome and its reverberations over the past four years, I don’t see how the citizens of America not getting their wish is an issue in a democracy. Obviously, I see how in the previous election it would have led to a Clinton presidency but I am curious more abstractly beyond this one election. We are a democracy, if the people want someone to be their elected official, how can we oppose that even if it is against our personal views and beliefs? What is the objection???

      1. No, we are not a democracy; never have been
      2. A “democracy” is mob rule, which is precisely why the founders rejected the formulation
      3. A state is a state, and the founders determined that all states were equal in rights and privileges
      3a. The members of the House of Representatives are elected by the public, and are the direct access of voters in their districts (localities) to their national government
      3b. The States (big “S” in the time of the founding), represented by the governors, reflected the larger than district interests of their citizens through appointments of members of the Senate
      3c. The nation as a whole, a combination of the Representatives of the House, and all the Senators elect the President of the United States (a bit of a quirk here, although the electors of the Electoral College are equal in number to the combined number of Representatives and Senators, they were designed to not be the same individuals as the actual Representatives and Senators)
      3d. The entire structure was designed to fight off the worst elements of direct democracy, and limiting the political power of the most populous States (who at the time were not opposed to fighting among themselves over boundaries, commerce, and political influence) from subjugating less populated States to second-class entities (Handmaidens Tale results)

      In short, your declaration/question is the answer to itself.

    History has repeatedly demonstrated that disarming good people in the name of making bad people harmless only eventually facilitates politicians shooting their own countrymen. History…learn from it or be doomed to relive it.
    Norman Thomas, the six-time Socialist Party candidate for merican people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism,’ they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened…. I no longU.S. President, said the following in a 1944 speech: “The Aer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform.” And, today, the Republican Party RINOs have adopted it as well. It is no longer a situation of “enemy in the wire”. Today….and for several decades….the enemy sits in the Command Post. America has been overrun.

No longer does Socialism or Communism hold a stigma to be hidden away. Politicians are now openly campaigning on that oppressive platform and winning in some areas.
    The list of 45 communist goals contained in the ~1958 book “Naked Communist” was read into the Congressional Record (Appendix, pp. A34-A35) by U.S. Congressman Albert S. Herlong, Jr. of Florida, on January 10, 1963. This is the plan to overtake America without firing a shot. As Russian Premier Nitka Khrushchev once said, “……America will fall into our hands like over ripe fruit.”
    List is no longer a “TO DO” list, but, today, is a “DONE” checklist.
    -Take over one or both of the major political parties. DONE
    -Take over the media. DONE
    -Take over the entertainment industry, DONE
    -Take over the educational system, DONE (Lenin said, Give me the children and I will transform the country.)

  22. RBG is the first woman to lie in state in DC. Disappointed RBG beat out Pelosi for the honor. But, there is still the opportunity for Pelosi to be the second to lie in state there. Hurry, Nancy, Hurry!!!!
