With three early states completed and 47 primaries to go, the results look shockingly good for America’s most popular socialist millionaire U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and surprisingly bad for the former frontrunner, former Vice President Joe Biden. Going into the South Carolina primary, Sen. Sanders has a lead with 34 delegates and the once-favored former Vice President is in an abysmal 5th place with only six delegates.

Ever since the fiasco that was the Iowa caucus, however, former Vice President Biden has tried to rally his lagging campaign with increasingly radical and incoherent attacks on every aspect of the Second Amendment. In a recent speech in New Hampshire, he claimed that an “AK-47 is not going to take care of you” because if “you’re going to take on the government you need an F-15 with Hellfire Missiles.”

It doesn’t take a political strategist to understand that this type of violent hyperbole, used similarly by Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) when he alluded to using nuclear weapons on law-abiding gun owners, is used only by candidates who are desperate to regain their campaign’s relevance by attacking millions of citizens for lawfully exercising their Second Amendment rights.

Clips and Magazines

Former Vice President Biden continued to flaunt his lack of knowledge on Second Amendment issues this past week in Nevada’s town halls, where he pledged to “get those clips that have multiple bullets in them not for sale.” In prior speeches, Biden’s gaffe was even more extreme, saying “nobody says you can have a magazine with 100 clips in it.”

Despite his appalling ignorance, it is vital that all law-abiding gun owners understand the unprecedented threat these policy proposals mean to rights, even if they are poorly thought out and incoherently explained.

The former vice president didn’t stop there, though. He renewed his absurd pledge to allow lawsuits against the firearms manufacturing industry while attacking Sen. Sanders’ record on all things guns.

Sen. Sanders has waffled back and forth on his stance to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) that protects firearm manufacturers from frivolous lawsuits. That’s not the case for former Vice President Biden, who has long been determined to see it stripped away. S

en. Sanders used to understand that holding a manufacturer responsible for the criminal misuse of firearms by remote third parties over whom they have not control defies all norms of legal jurisprudence. Biden, though, insists that these companies are “going to be held accountable because I’m coming after them.”

Lawful Protections, Lawful Industry

Former Vice President Biden says that those who vote to keep these sensible protections for the firearms industry do so only because they are “cowards that are afraid to take on the special interests.” The real reason the PLCAA is still law, however, is because the majority of people in this country see arguments like Biden’s as a thinly-veiled strategy intended to put gun manufacturers out of business by burying them in thousands of expensive, frivolous lawsuits.

That is exactly what was happening to the firearms industry beginning in the mid-1990s when several dozen municipalities filed frivolous lawsuits seeking to shutter the industry or impose regulation through settlement of the litigation. Not only would this scheme – then and now – deprive law abiding Americans of a free and fair marketplace in which to purchase firearms that meet their specific requirements for personal protection, home defense, hunting or recreational shooting, it would also cripple an industry that in 2019 employed 149,146 people in the country and generate an additional 162,845 jobs in supplier and ancillary industries.

Shuttering the industry would undermine national security and public safety since our industry provides the tools the  military and men and women in blue use to protect our nation and communities.

No one believes a car company should be held accountable if someone drives drunk and causes an accident. It’s time the former vice president admits repealing the PLCAA is anything but a plot to irreversibly damage both an American industry and Americans’ right to bear arms.

Former Vice President Biden may be counting on ignorant rhetorical excess to salvage his latest flagging presidential bid, but he apparently hasn’t processed the news of where it has already led the likes of Swalwell and former Democratic Texas Congressman Robert “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15” O’Rourke.

  1. His time would be better spent trying to remember where he is, and if he actually did most of the things he said he did. Go away, you stupid old man!

  2. What is it with this preening dooosh bag that he always feels the need to talk like the most macho of macho men? He faced down “Corn Pop”, said he’d like to take Trump behind the school yard and beat him up, threatened us average citizens with F-15’s with “Hellfire missiles”, and now he’s gonna “come after the gun industry”.

This guy is a walking, talking example of everything that’s wrong with our political system. It’s the Peter Principle at work. He thinks he’s such an expert at everything yet he doesn’t really know what the hell he’s talking about. The man has never really accomplished anything meaningful in his life – except in his own imagination – yet he feels it’s his place to tell us how to live our lives.

    Dangerous, power-hungry idiot!

  3. Not to worry.. Last night he introduced himself to a group in S.C. as “Hi I’m Joe Biden and I’m a candidate for the United States Senate”….. It’s been about eleven years since Biden was a Senator, unfortunately for him his state of confusion continues to rear it’s ugly head… No, Creepy Uncle Joe is the least of worries…

      • Sadly being the key word here you are most likely correct. I lived in Delaware briefly and I have seen the Biden effect first hand, he is royalty (along with the DuPont’s) in the 1st State… Literally a big fish in a small pond…

    • Biden claimed to negotiate the Paris Climate Accords with Deng Xiaoping in Dec 2018, problem Xiaoping died in 1997…. Also falsely claimed to have been arrested in Africa trying to meet with Mandela though no one else on the trip seems to remember it…. “But, that’s just another Creepy Uncle Joe gaff, he’s always been like that even when he had normal brain function”…

    • To founder: As in a boat, To fill with water and SINK as in Bidens campaign is SINKING (not trying to be a smartass, just trying to help you out, we all screw up sometime) Words can have more than one meaning it’s all about the context… like flounder is also a species of flatfish…

      • …and all this time I thought Flounder was a guy in Animal House…

(apologies MM…my fingers did it of their own accord…I’ll punish them tomorrow at the Range with the Casull)

        • Pleased to announce that the guilty fingers have been appropriately punished by subjecting them to severe and repetitive recoil (except for the smart alec bird finger on the left hand who kept asking if that was all I got). Fortunately, all the others are very contrite tonight and asked if I could treat them to a day of .22lr or 9mm soon as those are easier on the hand.

          G’Nite

      • I’m sorry, I was incorrect. I even looked founder up before I posted my previous comment. When I checked it again, using a more complete dictionary site, AND scrolled down A LOT, I found the definition as a verb. In my defense, though, flounder also works.

      • In all fairness, I agreed with the original post. Much thanks for the explanation! As smart as I think I am… I get reminded daily that I am not. LOL. Again thanks!

        • If you don’t learn something every day you are either not paying attention or you are a Democrat.. Even at 70 I am sometimes amazed at some of the stuff I come across that I didn’t know …

        • I have always insisted that the day that I did not learn something new is the day that I no longer deserve to live.

        • That’s a bit extreme, there are days when I just veg out with the xbox (pretty hard to learn anything in Deus X or Call of Duty from one to present but I don’t necessarily feel my life should be forfeit at the end of the day… Lighten up on yourself a little, if you miss today then try to learn two things tomorrow….

    • bloomberg is not stealing the nom from bernie. He’s buying it. We’re watching the destruction of the democratic party. Ain’t it grand.

        • little mikey is certainly wasting his money on comedy writers…couldn’t tell a funny joke if you put a gun to his head!……

    • The DNC controls the superdelegates, and there are enough superdelegate votes to deny Sanders a first round victory at the convention. After that, there can be a “negotiated” election that will deny Sanders the nomination. After that, who the heck knows what happens next, and who will be the compromise candidate. But it will not likely be Biden. Hellary perhaps? Mini-Mike?

Unless Sanders goes down to defeat graciously (which is probably beyond him) we can watch the Democratic Party implode. Sanders’ delegates will walk out, and may even refuse to vote in the general election, handing the Republican Party a clear and decisive win. (One can hope.)

      • Bloomberg has probably been busy making suitcase deals with the super delegates to ensure nomination. What Bolshie Bernie and his supporters do afterwards could be interesting.

        • Some of them may in fact vote for Trump again. Believe it or not, there’s a decent segment of the Bernie crowd that did last time.

      • I don’t believe Superdelegates vote in the 1st round. Superdelegates are unpledged delegates making up 16% of the total and will no longer vote on the first ballot at the convention unless there is no doubt about the outcome. New rule for 2020..

  4. He just needs to quit now and go back to sniffing hair. Although from comments from his last rally, is he running for president or senator?

  5. We needn’t worry about S L O W Joe. He’ll be sittin’ & rockin’ soon enough…little Hitler & Bernie Stalin are the 2 elderly jews who need our opposition!

  6. Nobody and I mean Nobody cares what Biden the Buffoon has to say as the only place his campaign is headed is down the toilet, good bye and good riddance.

  7. Lets take that to the obvious conclusion: to shut down ALL gun companies in the US, along with ALL bullet making companies. Then, in less than five years we would be invaded and conquered. Exactly WHO is going to sell our Armed forces guns and ammo. What foreign government would quickly purchase the gun manufacturers and bullet makes and starve our population and armed forces. And do not say it would not happen. If I was against the USA, that is exactly what I would do. Who will supply the ammo and guns for the police, armed forces, guards for the rich when you cannot get any of either. If the gun/ammo manufacturers are out of business, next will be NO importing of the same.

    • Nah. Defense industries will remain in business with the US as their sole customer. Winchester will continue to pump out ammunition, and the other defense industries will continue to produce tanks, planes, ships and bombs. Ain’t no way anyone will try to invade. The only country that has enough men to do so is China, and there is a big big ocean between us and them that they would have just as much trouble crossing as the Japanese. And any way, China does not want to invade, it wants us as its biggest trading partner, pumping billions into its economy every year. It just wants everything in or bordering the China Sea

    • The Demo-socialists won’t shut down the arms industry. After nationalizing health care, they’d nationalize th3 arms industry next, to assure a s7pply chain for the military and law enforcement.

  8. The least anti-gun Democratic person (yeah yeah, I know) vying to be the nominee is Sanders. Who is in the lead? Sanders.

The Democrats could learn a thing or two from their constituencies.

I know many Dems who are vowing to sit out the election or vote for Trump if Bloomberg is allowed to buy the nomination.

Bloomberg is a racist, misogynistic billionaire narcissist from New York, and we already got one of them. Why elect one who is smarter, and therefore significantly more dangerous.

  9. I wasn’t in the Air Force, but when did they start mounting Hellfire missiles on F-15s? I know they hang them on Apaches and drones, as well as ground armor. Of course, I’ve been out of the military game for a while. Maybe things have changed. One thing has not. Only infantry can occupy the ground. You know. Men with rifles.

    • That was a one off.
The norm was bullpup and sidewinder missiles for the F15 IIRC.
I actually worked on the F15 bomb rack production program (mounting/deployment) at EDO Corp (College Pt NY) during the late ’80s (while going to college at night).

      • James, even I know a Sidewinder is an air to air heat seeker. Not an air to ground or ground to ground laser guided munitions. If any of you new grunts know better, please correct me. James, I generally ignore your posts, but so many of the other give you a ration of of shit I thought I might read one and reply. There’s a couple of minutes of my life I’ll never get back.

        • Yes, you’re right about the Sidewinder. Hellfire on a F15? Depends on who has the laser designator. But Hellfires also have the aerodynamics of a brick so they are better carried on something that moves slower such as a helicopter or drone.

      • The F15 racks were produced at the EDO facility in College PT Queens. There were no missiles at the EDO facility except for a few “mock ups”.
That was why I had the IIRC in my initial post.
In the late ’80s EDO also was working on the Navy towed array sonar system, and also the ball-towed Mk105 minesweeper hydrofoil sled.
At that time, Frank Pasarella was the production manager, he eventually became CEO of EDO Corp.

  10. I’m happy with the way things are going. Of the major candidates, I think Bernie Sanders gives the least shits about guns (something about being a VT senator for so long). Not that I think he’s good on the subject, just that it’s not his ‘thing’ the way it is for people like Biden and Bloomy.

That said, I think the democratic party has managed to put itself into a position to lose TWICE to Donald Trump, as improbably as that might have seemed back in 2015. At this point the party itself should just cease to be so that something better can rise up.

    • I am not really seriously worried about 2020. Why should anybody other than the Bern and old Bloomers be worried. I am very worried about 2024. What are we doing about that or is the whole freaking nation schizophrenic? That is going to be the serious election to worry about.
Maybe we should vote for Seroquel to be added to the water supply!

      • Yeah 24 could be a problem, Pence will never get elected so someone will have to primary him if he decides to go for it… There are a couple of congressmen, a senator and a couple of governors that could pull it off if they don’t suffer brain cramps and catastrophic failure before then…

        • Rand Paul was the most reasonable person in the republican debates last go around. He just doesn’t have the charisma to pull it off.

        • A bit too much Libertarian for the mainstream, as an Independant (conservative leaning) I have no problem with him or his daddy for that matter but the hard Right might have a hard time with some of his policies… However if the Democrats (AOC will be legal age by then) keep throwing crazy ass Socialists and Napoleonic Billionaires in the ring then the Republicans could probably run a ham sandwich and keep the White House…

  11. In the democrat commercial(debate) tonight Dementia Joe claimed 150 million people have been killed by guns in the U.S. since 2007. Keep Your Powder Dry.

    • the 13 years (2007 thru 2019) saw approximately 430,000 gun related deaths 2/3rds of which were suicides, so Creepy Uncle Joe missed this one by about 149 million 570 thousand.. One excuse maker said he probably meant 150 thousand (still way off) another just said he “misspoke” AGAIN?……

  12. In other news we got to hear more about Amy’s Uncle Dick. She seems to have an unnatural fascination with that tree stand. Wonder what went on up there.

  13. Strange , when a Democrat Nggr President was in office gun control was of little concern. Now We got “your second amendment rights are safe with me.” And I’m seeing more infringements . Bill don’t care that Trump sleeps with Hillorally.

  14. Thanks Joe, Bernie, Fauxcahontis, Mikey, Pete, Nancy, Chuck, Auntie Maxine, Jerry, Adam, Eric, Beto, AOC, Rashid, Ilhan and all the little people that made this possible…….. WLBT3 reports that the Mississippi Republican Party welcomed eight new members into their fold last week, six of whom had been Democrats and two, Independents. Each of these officials were elected in the most recent election cycle.

  15. “Poor ole Creepy, Sleepy, Crazy, Fire Two Blasts in the Air ” Uncle Joey. Dementia and senility are cruel. Seems like his false teeth shift and almost fall out at times.

  16. Democrat Joe claims to be a friend of Black Americans all while he uses the same old worn out gun control from the era of denying freed slaves their right to own firearms to the era of democrat Jim Crow laws concocted to keep firearms out of the hands of Black Americans. The documented atrocities the democrat party racists did to unarmed Blacks is despicable. Every one of those democRats running for POTUS and the entire democrat party should be held liable for Monetary Reparations. Of course democrats will try to lie their way out by saying it occurred only in the south which is total BS. Then they’ll claim all the racists moved to the Republican Party without any documented proof or film of such an event. PAY UP sicko democrat party.
