Arsenal, Inc. has unveiled its new CNC-machined aluminum side-folding stock, giving AK shooters a tougher, lighter, and more ergonomic upgrade for their favorite rifles. Precision-machined in-house down to the rivets, this isn’t just another folding stock — it’s a purpose-built, hard-anodized piece of kit ready for real-world abuse.
Built for Strength and Fit
The buttstock body is CNC-machined from a single block of aluminum and hard anodized for enhanced strength and longevity. Heat-treated carbon steel attachment parts keep lockup solid, while a machined cheek weld groove ensures a comfortable, repeatable fit.
With four non-rotating QD sling points built in, you have plenty of flexibility to set up your sling exactly how you want it — no more fighting swivel rotation or loose fit.
Perfect Pairing with the SAM7SF
This side folder was built to pair perfectly with Arsenal’s classic SAM7SF, which features an integrated side-mounted rail system. When combined with Arsenal’s SM-23 scope mount, you’ve got a rock-solid AK setup that’s equally at home on the range or in the field, delivering accuracy, reliability, and timeless Bulgarian craftsmanship.
Every part is made in-house — right down to the rivets — ensuring tight tolerances and top-tier build quality that’ll last for generations.

As it so happens I have a SAM7F with one of the older side folder stocks. Which works great and locks up solid, but this looks like a nice upgrade with two caveats.
From the image it looks like it folds to the right (as does mine) which is important so as not to potentially interfere with the side rail.
The other caveat is, side folders (or, really, skeleton stock, side folder or not) are usually pretty light compared to a conventional stock, so the balance of the rifle shifts forward quite a bit. This is true also for ARs, bolt action chassis systems, etc. Its not really a problem, but it is something to be aware of if you’re thinking of adding one to an existing rifle.
